The whole time we were sitting there, a person who appeared to be a busser, made eye contact with us, and continued to talk to customers. This is our breakfast go-to place. Good, friendly service, managers always around asking us how we enjoyed our food and the food is average. Our last experience will not have us going back. We waited 10 minutes for drinks, the server was upset because she kept getting seated which we heard her complaint to management, our order wants right and the food was lack luster (we didn't finish it). From walking in, it is not obvious what you're supposed to do. Do you order at the counter or wait to be seated? Was looked at by several gormless employees before our party of 9 was seated. Now from the time we sat down to the time the first meal showed up was 1 hour 5 mins and 1 hour 20 mins for the last one to show up. Being polite people and waiting for everyone to be served before eating, ensured that most people's meal were eaten cold. It's bacon and eggs for christsake- How tough can this be? I went here for a birthday party for my niece with 9 other people. It turns out that they are hurting for staff at the moment. They had to close an entire side of the restaurant because they were so short staffed. That being said we only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The food was good and our waitress was nice. The kitchen forgot a few specifics on some of the orders but that's to be expected with such a big party. Overall, we all had a good time. Went to Bob Evans tonight and ordered carry out. We waited an irritating amount of time but collected our food and left. One meal looked great while the other meal looked like a box of leftovers mixed together. The meatloaf had fork marks and some of the carrots looked bitten into. I called the store livid only to talk to the most uncaring and unhelpful manager. I will never visit this store or establishment again you need to learn good customer service. Just had brunch here. Pro's: Food was good! Waitresses were very pleasant! Con's: doors into restaurant was good but at 11 am you should not have dirty windows. Door was sticky and dirty on the inside. Not a good feeling to get on your hands. Sat at table flipped my coffee cup to find sugar wrapper stuck inside. Table was not wiped clean. Emily is a sweetheart but they sent my salmon out raw after I specifically ordered extra well done. Had to send it back for more cooking and I'm sure my green beans will be icy cold when I get them back. That cost them a star. This is my second time coming here. The first time was horrific! Went last night to give it another try, once again the worst service!! Took 10 minutes to get our drink order, by than we were ready to order food. Ordered drinks and food at the same time. We received our drinks quickly and than waited an hour for our food. We had 4 people at the table, one being a 2year old. I had to get up and check on our food, when we finally received our food, the food was great. But waiting at a table for over an hour for food with a toddler is unacceptable. Went to dinner tonight and experienced some of the longest service ever. The place was near empty and when I say that I mean there may have been 5-6 tables on the inside of the restaurant with 2 girls waiting on that side. And our waitress took apox 10 min to come greet us and get our drink and food order. While waiting for the food we could easily over hear our waitress complaining throughout the building "O.M.G" "we are sooo busy" etc etc... trust me they where not busy ...I could prob serve more people in my house then where in that whole building Food eventually came out and did taste very good. Waitress said that with my meal I had endless bread rolls....which would have been nice if she had ever came back to the table. When she finally did come back (after we had all been done eating for a while) I asked about getting 2 rolls to go at that point and my meal also came with ice cream and she offered that as a take out as well so I said sure ....10 min later she brings the rolls and check and said she was waiting on the ice cream....another 10 min later she comes and cleans up some of the plates on the table and asked if I wanted a drink to go (still no ice cream) also at this point the rest of my party I was with had left ...I proceeded to sit another 5 min or so then decided to get up and pay my bill...still with no ice cream meanwhile while I paid the people at the table behind me (who came in maybe 30 or more min after me received ice cream) they where lucky enough to get the good waitress if we do go back we will for sure make sure not to be seated in the same waitresses area....today's visit summed up would be "good food..absolutely horrible service" read more

This place is very affordable so you get what you pay for. I've had the soup because it's very cheap and they give you a ton! However, the chicken noodle soup is very high in sodium. Like a third the recommend daily intake. I would also say that the noodles are different from typical chicken noodle soup noodles on that they are on the thick side. I have been to this Bob Evans twice. The first time everything was okay. I had only been to any BE once before, in Madison Hts, and I really enjoyed it. This one in AA, not as much. The main reason I went was for the chicken soup. It usually has the best old-fashioned egg noodles, and lots of fresh chicken. It was on my second visit here that everything started to taste off. The soup tasted old, or something. Like the smell in your grandma's Michigan basement. Not good. Then came the advertised special, meatoaf. How can you mess up meatloaf. The awful tasting barbecue sauce (gravy) did not help, but the meatloaf itself tasted off. The mashed potatoes and green beans were wonderful, but the meat was not. After sending back the soup, I received a great bowl of vegetable beef. After sending back the meatloaf, I received some great mashed potatoes and stuffing, but my turkey had been sitting in water all day, and was not so hot. I think I will go back to the MH one and see if it is just hit and miss, or if this particular BE is just not good. Scott read more

Truly sad. It's no wonder this place is never busy. We wanted to try something different, so we gave 'em another chance. It seems they've simplified their menu, no longer offering the full course dinner. Everything's ala carte. I ordered the meatloaf, they were out. Considering this is one of the four meat choices they offer, it wasn't a good sign. The waiter suggested 'not' ordering the chicken, it seems it was sitting for 8 hours. I've been to this Bob Evans twice in the last month but they will never see me again.. First off.. when you walk in you always have to wait at least 10 min before you are seated even if the restaurant is barely full. Once seated we waited 15 min and seen one girl looking at our table and then at her watch like it was almost time for her to get off and praying she didn't have to wait on one more table before ending her shift.. after waiting 15+ minutes we left and went to the Bob Evans in Ann Arbor on Ann Arbor Saline Rd and was greeted with great service and seated right away and our wait staff came right over to serve our drinks. Been here twice. Service was slow both times and the second time the server completely omitted one of our sides. We had to remind her and ask to have it taken off our bill. Don't order steak here. My in-laws both ordered sirloin steak and one was inedible because it was too salty. That was sent back and the replacement was still too salty but a little less so. The server told us that the kitchen said they do not add salt, but 3 people tried the steaks and we all agreed that they were both too salty. We think they must soak their steaks in brine so that they keep longer because they probably don't have many people ordering steaks there and thus they do not have much steak inventory turnover. This suggests their steaks are not fresh. I know it's not smart to order steak at a breakfast place, but if they know they don't do steaks well, why do they have it on the menu? read more

Ordered my steak medium rare and received it completely over cooked. It was so overdone that parts of the steak were burnt. It was the consistency of corn beef, I could pull it apart. It was a pickup order so I didn't discover this until after I was home. The rolls were also partially crunchy. I understand this isn't a first class restaurant, but seriously? I went to Bob Evans because I was really craving some chicken tenders. Well when I walked in I was completely ignored and stood there awkwardly for a couple minutes. Then the waitress yelled welcome from the kitchen and she'd be right with me. It took another couple minutes to be seated. Very unhappy with this Bob Evans. My mom and I stop in at 4:30 Tuesday even. Sign on the front billboard said $6.99 for slow cooked meal. They told us all we could get for $6.99 was the lunch combo, they did us a favor and sold that to us even though we arrived past lunch time. Today I was the advertisement. I was not too impressed with this Bob Evans. I had never been to one before but had heard good things so when I saw one had to try! Maybe it was just what I ordered... the western omelet with hash browns and biscuits. The biscuits were very good but the omelet was like spaghetti on egg. Kinda gross. The raspberry iced tea was severely watered down and not worth $2.59. Our server wasn't too great either. She brought us our check before we were even half way through our meal. We had an email coupon for BOGO breakfasts at Bob Evans and since we were in the area we decided to give this location a try. It wasn't very busy at 11 am and we were seated right away. We ended up ordering a couple of Homesteads, my favorite, with coffee. The breakfast came out rather quickly and I got a sticky order of grits, while the wife got a tiny order of hash browns that kind of looked like what was left over from the morning rush. We mentioned the small amount of hash browns and after we were pretty much done with breakfast, the waiter came out with another tablespoon of hash browns on a small plate. I personally would have been embarrassed to bring that out. We only got one cup of coffee from our waiter and when we asked a different waitress for a refill, she brought out a whole pot, which every other table had even with just 1 cup of coffee. I don't know about you guys, but or almost $25 before tip, I expect a little more and better breakfast from Bob Evans. At my usual breakfast spot I get a similar breakfast with coffee for $4.11 and I most definitely don't have to search for the hash browns and the grits are terrific. Bob Evans is a midwestern chain, and as far as chains go, I think at the top of the heap. This particular restaurant was clean and the food good, although our young, and I think rather inexperienced server, was missing in action. Other employees delivered our food, and refilled our drinks, as they did for other tables in this station. Our waitress did show up, after we were done eating, to ask if everything was OK.
