All I can say is that the service is so inconsistent that I just don't like going here. We stop in sometimes bc it's in the way home from work and the kids love free hot chocolate refills. Our server was really good. Our food was good, But when when ordered desert, 1 piece if strawberry cheese cake....it took forever, and the restaurant wasnt thst busy. Our server came by said he had no reason why it was taking do lo g and would check on it. Finally we got desert, 15 minutes later! Can understand when places are busy, but 1 piece of cheesecake that already is made and cut, just need to place err on a plate. Ordering from this restaurant has to be one of the worst experiences with a bob Evans ive ever come across. Apparently they sub their delivery through door dash and have no accountability with delivery times that take 35 minutes when I literally (no exaggeration) live across the street walking distance. Which made it so much more frustrating that It took 30 minutes for anyone to answer the phone from bob evans or DoorDash and then wait another 15 minutes for them to figure it out. I live literally right behind here so I stop in often. I call at 836 to pick up a soup and side salad and she tells me I can't put a pick up order in after 835.... ONE MIN?! I literally live two mins away and you can't put an order in for something you scoop in a Togo bowl and put together in less time than it would take me to get there?! Probably bc every time I'm in there I see a bunch of people taking forever to do very little.... summer flu and all I wanted was some soup and I get this bull**** about I can't put a Togo order in ONE min after they take pick up orders in... great customer service guys. read more

Not our first time at this location but by far the worst experience we've had here. We came for a late breakfast around 10:15am on a weekday. Were seated quickly but given no menus and utensils were filthy. The table next to us had not been cleared and was not cleared for the entire time we were there; same for the surrounding tables as people left- not the prettiest site when you're trying to enjoy a meal. Our server was inattentive and sloppy; she spilled coffee on the table several times (right in front of my 17 month old child), was very slow, forgot various parts of our order, and blamed the kitchen for her poor service. At the same time, we could see guests seated after us in other sections get their food quickly, pay and leave without a long wait. Tables around us were waiting on our server for 10+ minutes to get their checks and when we asked for ours, she didn't have it and we had to wait another 5 minutes to get it. Half the time she was no where to be found. I'd rather go out of my way to a different location in the future. Terrible experience. read more

Well they should have left it to the real cooks because our hashbrowns were obviously rushed and were uncooked in the middle and our eggs were barely "easy" when we ordered them hard. Would never return! There are plenty of Bob Evan's in town with great service and quality food. This place is completely mismanaged. I was a server before and I know the ins and outs of the business. Our server was so over run that I could see her asking the kitchen for food all the while the manager was hiding in the back. There had to be 15 people waiting on carry out orders and when I asked the manager why he got mad and actually walked out of the building , leaving his staff to deal with a lot of angry customers. read more

They have great sausage gravy. Every time we go there, the quality of the food is very good and consistent. The serving staff is kind and helpful and if you are real hungry and would like a big breakfast, you cannot beat Bob Evans' "Farmers Breakfast". If you get it, don't try to eat it alone. Typical bob evans resturant, my hubby and I like this place because with a bogo coupon it's 10 or so bucks for 2 ppl to eat. Food is good, standard diner American fare. Something for everyone and not greasy or gross. One of our go to places for breakfast or anytime. read more

I have to say I am shocked at how poor this Bob Evans is rated! I come here quite often and every time receive efficient and friendly service along with tasty hot food! In the past I have chosen to eat at other restaurants when I wanted something similar to Bob Evans offerings because the high price and small portions of food. Recently, they've made alterations with price and portion to make a happy medium. Since then its been an enjoyable experience every time! Both managers and staff are ready to assist and are always friendly. I recommend their soups, chili, and cole slaw for sure if you are into that sort of thing! read more

The breakfast is tasty but the service is super slow. The waitress is dingy. My mom has to stir her coffee with a straw because they didnt bring us silverware. I asked for a regular coke and she brought me a diet! Nothing is worse than diet! The food is good, but the service is a roll of the dice (if this review was only based on taste the score would be higher). MOST of the servers do the absolute minimum and get an attitude as If you are putting them out if you ask for refills, to-go boxes, etc. They will even argue with you over the menu and accuse you of trying to get a "deal" when you were actually overcharged (and this includes a manager, who told me in the future *I* would have to educate the servers on why I was being overcharged!). What kind of experience you have seems to be dependent on which manager is there; my experiences during the day are usually better than at night. The remodel is nice but until the service issues are addressed, I won't be returning. read more

There are many few times I give such a low rating to such a well known restaurant. But my experience yesterday was quite poor when I saw two employees screaming at each other. Luckily there weren't many people there but it got everyone's attention. Paying 49 Dollars and listening to these two for most of the time. We were warned about the bad service and wait by a passing customer before we ate, and we should've listened! Nothing was a good experience. We ordered got our food about 45 mins later. A hair in my friends chicken, and a messed up order. Missing toast. Several times we reminded the waiter we were waiting for toast. He kept saying he was going to get it. Then he excused it by saying "well your order is a lot of food for 6 people..the cooks are kind of shocked..." WHAT. Ok should we apologize for ordering food from you?! I usually enjoy Bob Evans and honestly kinda hard to screw up breakfast. But this location has easily been the worst experience I've had at any Bob Evans. The customer service was just awful, it took 25 min to get our food which was screwed up (ordered home fry less omelet... came out with them inside the omelet) and instead of just apologizing and offering to get us something else our waitress just reiterated what was in the omelet mix. If it was something the cooks couldn't remove that would have been fine we would have just picked something else. Eventually she did take it off our bill and upon request got us another menu (which she didn't come back with for 10 mins). At that point we decided to just split the one omelet we had and leave. When asked how our service was at checkout we said it wasn't that great actually and the host seriously said "yeah it's been really busy today"... Wow, just an overall awful experience solely due to poor service. We won't be back. read more

We were a party of 3 at 9:00am on a Sunday morning. Another party of 3 was seated immediately before us and we were seated next to them. Yes the place was busy. There seemed to be enough staff so I don't really know what the problem was. Our order was taken immediately and was simple enough...2 orders of biscuits-gravy, 1- two eggs and toast + 3 coffees. But the other party FINISHED their meal before we even got our food...and it was almost cold. A 40 minute wait. Normally I can be pretty forgiving when it comes to time, but if you can't serve hot food your process needs serious review. I will seek out another option and as much as I want to like Bob Evans, next time it probably won't be. read more

We had breakfast and it was much better than the bob Evans' restaurants on broad street & georgesville square. Still it could have been better as the service was a bit slow and the toast was dried out. i do not care with the fats they use to cook with and whatever their default toast spread is, i try to remember to ask for regular butter and they usually give me little packs of hard as a rock butter that is really impossible to spread on dry cold toast. Bob Evans needs to overhaul how they prepare their food to make it taste better and be more healthy. My wife & I used to go to their restaurants 2-3 times a month but their quality declined while their prices skyrocketed. We hope they do something to right the ship!! read more

I'm a fan of Bob Evans, just not this one. The service is terrible and the staff doesn't seem to know simple courtesies, such as saying hello/acknowledging patrons upon arrival or saying 'I'm sorry' when something doesn't go as expected. This particular experience is related to carryout. We placed our order online and I arrived at the expected time to pick it up. There was one other patron in front of me at the counter picking up his order. The kid behind the counter finished taking care of the man in front of me, then walked away from the counter. In the meantime, two other staff members came behind the counter for different reasons and walked away, neither acknowledging me or the two additional people standing at the hostess stand waiting to be seated. Then a waitress dropped a plate of hot food on the floor in front of the counter. A manager, who had been standing there the whole time having a personal conversation with another patron (it appeared they knew each other) started kicking the pieces of the broken plate and the food in an effort to move it all into one pile - never stopping her personal conversation. Ever hear of a broom?? Another patron walks in and up to the opposite side of the counter I was standing and all of sudden the first kid that was behind the counter when I arrived re-appeared. He addresses the new patron and takes his carryout order. Then two additional sets of diners come to the counter to pay their bill and the kid takes care of them. Never once acknowledging me or another patron who is now in line behind me. Just as I'm starting to walk away from the counter and head toward the manager who is still having a personal conversation, one of the other staff members who had come behind the counter earlier returned and asks if I have been helped yet. (She knew the answer to that question!) Turns out my food/order had been sitting there the whole time and it's now 20 minutes after my arrival. It wasn't even busy, but everybody seemed to be too busy to take care of customers. After seeing the manager kick food around on the floor and not budge from her personal conversation to help those waiting, I'm not surprised the staff behaved as such. No sense of urgency to take care of the customers from the manager equals no sense of urgency to take care of customers from the staff. As a manager, she should be setting a better example. To add insult to injury, the food wasn't even that great. It was of course cold by the time I got it home. Nothing like soggy warmed up french fries in the microwave to go with your overcooked burger; or better yet, brown, wilted lettuce in your salad.
