Unfortunately we went here during season and on a Sunday. Service was good (waitress ) but the food was awful!! My husband is normally not picky and LOVES to eat. His fried chicken,hash browns and biscuits were all terribly over cooked. He couldn't really eat it. When we told Chelsea at the register what happened she just said "sorry". No offer to make it right. When we went to leave my husband said "thank you" ( I am not sure why, since it was terrible) this woman was so rude she wouldn't look or reply to him. This is my first time eating at Bob Evans ever. I ordered online and the food was ready within the state of time. My husband and I had the whole hog breakfast and an omelette. Honestly I was surprised by the look of the food and the taste of it as well. It looked good. It tasted good. Everything was prepared appropriately. The ham was very tender and not salty. The sausage were correctly prepared as well. My favorite was the pancake that came with the whole hog meal. It was light and fluffy and not tough to cut, a true pan cake. My husband had the French toast he told me he enjoyed that. He however said that he didn't think his eggs were fresh and they were the powder stuff. But, I did not agree with him my eggs tasted fresh. Everything was freshly prepared you could tail. I will certainly make this my go to spot when coming to Fort Myers. For us it was conveniently located and social distancing was in place. I highly recommend visiting Bob Evans if you're in the mood for a good breakfast when you're in Fort Myers. GOOD CORPORATE FARE I'd never been to a Bob Evans before and felt like a good old American breakfast, so I stopped in here. I had perfectly good scramblies, an eMuff, a rasher & grits. Quite good. This place is basically an upscale Waffle House. Hot tip: time your visit here. This place is a favorite of the oldies and can get very busy at Early Bird time! read more

This is about the best you'll get in the $25 price range for 2. Looks great and fairly busy for a reason. When we walked in I noticed a grim look on one of the employees face like "gimme a break, another customer" lol I don't have a problem with that since I used to work at a restaurant years ago and used to think the same thing lol. Clean, it looks cool and great fresh food. If you like coffee like I do then just ask for the pot. As a bonus I picked up a couple coffee cakes.. Oh, bonus points that the bathrooms were clean and didn't have piss stains and toilet paper thrown all over from the customers not showing any mutual respect. read more

Visited from out of town, parents brought us to this location for a Lau themed night. Tuesdays kids eat free.Kids got to color tiki and servers were dressed in Hawaiian shirts. After being down with a severe cold, cough and sore throat since Christmas, I was craving macaroni and cheese. Usually, I make my own, but still feeling lousy, I asked my hubby to pick some up from Bob Evans, along with some cranberry relish. BIGGEST mistake of the day!! The macaroni and cheese had NO flavor (until we put pepper on it). The cheese "sauce" was flavorless, boxed would have been better, although we never buy boxed, I think we should have. Then, the "cranberry" relish....soooooo sweet we couldn't even eat it! Tasted like maraschino cherries, their juice and maybe dissolved jello, with what looked like chopped cranberries (?). My hubby found one piece of possible orange peel before we threw the majority of it away before we were forced to call the dentist! read more

Just wanted to ask management why they don't showcase their pies anymore? I went to the Bob Evans here on Colonial in Ft. Myers and was severely disappointed as no pies in a display case anymore and no strawberry pies as it was sort of a staple here and the reason my family frequented here in yrs. past. Had to ask for pies and employees looked at me like I had four heads. I said, "You do sell whole pies,right?" It was my Mothers Birthday and sorely disappointed I couldn't get a fresh strawberry pie I planned all week to buy her here. On upnote I did manage to get a chocolate silk whole pie to leave with for her Birthday and it was excellent. Sour note was I had to wait for what seemed like forever as they got a new cash register set up that no one, including the Manager, could get to cooperate. A cash register should be functional, not rocket science CEO's. I felt bad for the staff as really upset by the new POS system you installed. They seemed nice enough, system just seemed junk. I was on a deadline for Birthday party and really had no time to spare so it was hugely unappreciated. Thanks for your attention. read more

Okay so I just had a horrible experience here. I ordered the chicken and fries and by the end of the meal I was in the bathroom sick. The chicken was very undercooked and had grease all over the plate. The service was so slow. I don't know if it was the waitress or the kitchen. I personally liked the waitress Diana. This was my first visit to a Bob Evans restaurant. I had an appointment nearby so I decided to try it. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I had breakfast (eggs, bacon, grits and gravy). It was all very well prepared and I really enjoyed the grits and gravy. The service was a bit slow but the friendliness of the server more than made up for it. I'll definitely go back again. read more

Our family is usually enjoys BE and when this was put in closer for our commute we were excited to have a nice family style, home cooked option for dinner, etc. After our past two visits we likely won't return though. The service here has gotten steadily worse and the most recent visit we waited so long for a server to acknowledge us I finally got up and we walked out. I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

I'm a native Ohioan, so have been to many Bob Evans locations over the years. I was on a fairly urgent trip across I-75 and thought I could take a few minutes to zip in and get a quick order of sausage gravy and biscuits before hitting the road again. In a nearly empty restaurant at 5 PM on a Sunday it took about 25 minutes to get the food, time I didn't have to waste. When it finally came I didn't have any silverware and had to wait for the waitress to check back before I could actually eat. When I asked for my bill so I could quickly pay and leave I was handed the wrong one and had to chase down my waitress to get the correct one. The cashier asked how my meal was and I said "very disappointing," and explained why. What should have been a couple of quick scoops of gravy on two biscuits took longer than most made-to-order entrees. My plan for a fast little treat turned into a frustrating delay that put me behind schedule and in a foul mood. Offering to comp my hot chocolate didn't exactly improve things. read more
