Driver very fast, very friendly. Bag sealed with staples when driver handed it to me. I ordered 1× Sausage Gravy & Biscuits Cup $8.89 and 1× Rise & Shine $14.59 Scrambled, Sausage Patties, Shredded Hash Browns, Banana Nut Bread. The order was missing "Sausage Gravy & Biscuits Cup $8.89". I called Bob Evans in Grove City where Door Dash placed the order, the guy was immediately dismissive, stating he was packed orders this morning, and placed blame on the Door Dash driver. I said the bag was stapled, and sealed when when he handed it me, whoever pulled and packed the order sealing it with staples missed "Sausage Gravy & Biscuits Cup $8.89". This Bob Evans employee was very unprofessional in attitude, and refused to resolve the issue. Bob Evans employee pushed back placing blame on Door Dash driver, practically hanging up on me. I texted the Door Dash driver he said what I saw, bag sealed with staples and Bob Evans is responsible. I agree with the Door Dash driver. I call Bob Evans back. Female employee answers this time. She asked for my name, claiming no order exists in the system, I said he just left there. I give the order numbers from receipt, again she says no order found. She said she would look in their other system and let me know, she trying to get me off the phone. I asked to speak to the manager. The same guy I spoke with before gets on the phone. I explain everything all over again, along with my texts with Door Dash driver, I state whoever packed the order and stapled it missed an item. This same Bob Evans employee (manager) was very unprofessional. Refused to resolve. Very negative, and dismissive. Decided to have Bob's tonight for dinner. Big mistake and we haven't even ordered yet. Was seated and it has gone down hill from there. They couldn't decide on who was to wait on us. Two different girls said they would find someone to wait on us. 6 whole tables being utilized and they couldn't figure out who was supposed to wait on us??? We finally got to order. The food was great!!! Super quick service and one of the nicest waitresses. We had breakfast for lunch and it was delicious!!! My only complaint is that the lady that was checking people out left us to go check people into the restaurant. She had a whole line of people to check out and left us to check people in. Not very nice. My other complaint was that it was raining and the floors were wet and they didn't put rugs down in front of the doors. Terrible tasting food. Server was great in trying to remake items that were wrongly made. Restrooms extremely dirty. They changed the sausage gravy to a very thin tastes like "canned" store bought gravy. So disappointed in the quality of food. For $30 bucks breakfast it needs to be fresh. It's that time of year when the temperature drops and everyone spends more time inside staying warm. Bob Evans has one of my favorite dishes, Pot Roast with mashed potatoes, gravy and cooked carrots to help keep you warm and healthy. I should have bought the classic chicken soup which is another great tasty healthy option but I am craving pot roast and it definitely hit the spot. I am still hungry and decided to get a half sandwich turkey and bacon with green beans for more veggies to balance the hot carrots. Amazing truly amazing. Was in the area picking up something on a Sunday morning. The store wasn't open so I went to Bob's. They were busy (15-20 min wait) and I was alone. Sat in Nicole's section and watched as the drama unfold. She was in complete command of her section. She had two tables of five, a few four tops, a few two seaters, and me. I was amazed at how she juggled and served her customers. Nearby there was another server that was struggling. She didn't seem to know the menu and she struggled to have the energy to meet/exceed expectations. The hashbrowns were not crunchy..just shredded potatoes. Now the omelette was like dried out scrambled eggs with a ton of bacon bits, 1 mushroom, and cheese melted on the side. Wth??? Servers are usually always great here. The food is awful and the management is awful. My food was all cold when it arrived and I asked the waitress if she would warm it up. She put it in the microwave and the manger dropped it off and said "how is everything" that was all. He never apologized or offered to have a new one made. Another time, the sandwich was so soggy. We just asked for a new one. The manager just dropped it off and said "is everything ok here?" There are countless other times our food has been cold, obviously not fresh and reheated. This is an excellent Bob Evans. Service is impeccable, orders are correct, and promptly served. It doesn't take forever to get a table and the staff really busts their butts to get your food done right. They have a couple healthy options, not a lot, but their putting in the effort and they lost the calories on the menu. Didn't think I'd have to search thru the gravy in the restaurant but I obviously should have because we received no biscuits. Called to complain and was put on hold after explaining, manager picks up like "are you waiting for a carryout?" I said "no I'm calling to complain and she claims she didn't know was just picking up the call on hold to see what it was for" so the female I complained too, to begin with didn't relay my message, and then the manager claims she doesn't know if she can reimburse my money onto my card and I DID NOT WANT a store credit because we will not be ordering from this location again. How can you ever go wrong eating at Bob Evans? It's an Ohio original from the Bob Ev ans Farm down along the banks of the mighty Ohio River in southern Ohio. It's the ultimate country kitchen restaurant chain. Unfortunately, it didn't make its way to the East Coast until about 20 years ago, so I didn't grow up enjoying the delectable delights from Bob's menu. My personal favorite is the "Sunshine Skillet" which is their original open-faced omelet with their signature sausage, sausage gravy, cheese, home fries all on top of a 3 (or more) egg flat omelet. OMG! How can you go wrong with all of that flavor rolling around in your mouth! When I'm feeling less indulgent and more guilty, I enjoy the fresh fruit cup and hot piping oatmeal with a little milk and brown sugar mixed in. Their pancakes are usually perfectly wonderful as well. Can you tell that I typically frequent Bob Evans for breakfast? When I visit Bob's for lunch or dinner, I usually have the breakfast (served all day), unless I'm in the mood for one of their hearty sandwiches or meaty entrees. I think that their fresh salads and hot soups are probably their best feature after breakfast. At Bob's, every meal is good. Very predictable, thankfully. The best part about Bob Evans is that there's one on almost every street corner in Greater Columbus, so you're never too far from one of the best restaurant chains in America. FACTOID: Unless another has recently opened, there is exactly one Bob Evans in my home state of New Jersey. It is located in the Philly 'burbs, which "aren't really New Jersey." To many living a bit further west, Bob Evans is located everywhere, and draws all of the excitement of that bright, flowered wallpaper which never was in style. Being a bit of a novelty to me, and only seen in business travel, it is on a very short list of restaurant chains where a very un-fancy, but satisfying, dinner may be reliably had for the price of an airport sandwich back home. A two-piece chicken dinner, mashed potatoes with gravy, hot vegetable, dinner roll, Diet Coke and tip for under $13.00 isn't easy to find when traveling. Also predictable is that service is flat-out bad; slow and forgetful, but never abrupt or pushy. Bob Evans was a regular dinner stop for the two years I had an office in the Harrisburg, PA area. Never was the food bad, or the service good. I simply chalk this up to being a "hidden cost," and wouldn't ever choose this chain when in a hurry. Last Wednesday's visit brought the chicken dinner detailed above. The chicken was described as having been "broasted;" crispy and moist like fried chicken, but with no evidence that it had been fried. It was nicely seasoned and served hot; despite the service. If I had a complaint it would be that I probably could have eaten another two pieces, if I had another hour to spare. Joining the chicken was a small bowl of green beans, obviously frozen, but cooked with bacon chunks and onion. They were surprisingly tasty. The mashed potatoes lacked the texture of a freshly mashed product, and the gravy appeared to have come from a jar, but this combination was never destined to be the focal point of my dinner. Fountain beverages are served in half-sized Mason jars, which I found to be a bit of a rip-off. I suppose that in another setting, some might view them to be "cute;" I didn't. In a location where I might very well have been below the median customer age demographic, I have trouble envisioning how this "cuteness" could play-out favorably. Access from either direction of Stringtown Road is fast, and there is plenty of parking. read more

We had the Everything Breakfast and a Protein Skillet. YUM. The portions were generous and everything was cooked well. I liked the fresh vegetables on my breakfast. They were crisp and fresh.
