We were seated quickly for being Friday night. Our server Crystina was superb. She was always coming by to refill our drinks and check to see if we needed anything. First I had vegetable beef soup which was superb. I had the potato crusted flounder with mashed potatoes, carrots, and rolls. Very good portion and nice and hot. My wife had bean soup for starter. Then she had the Turkey,dressing, and potato dinner with rolls. She loved it and said it was very good. Our son had an Angus burger with fries and hash-browns. He stated the fries were just ok. He commented that the burger was delicious and tasty. The restaurant became very busy after we arrived and they did good keeping up with the service. Eek! Methinks not is an accurate description of this place. Why some people give this place high ratings is beyond my understanding. My fiancee and I stopped in for breakfast today. We walked in around 9:00am and they were busy for a typical Sunday morning, but we noticed open booths and tables. It took us a couple minutes to be seated. And then, it took close to 15 minutes for our server to come to us. Once she arrived, she greeted us with a hello and then, from then on, all she did was complain about her job and her co workers. This was the jist of the rest of service experience at Bob Evan's. We put in a food order (eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc), and it took them close to 25 minutes to get us our order. I was about to walk out when a runner came out with our food. Assistant Manager comes on over to see if everything is okay; I describe the situation, and she responds by saying that she will go back into the kitchen and tell the staff to pick up the pace. That doesn't help me at all as the customer in this situation! And, just guessing, the staff probably won't respond favorably to that either. The food. The food was mediocre. But, given that my appetite was already upset by the lack of respect and friendliness shown to my fiancee and I, I'm sure there is some bias there. I ask the waitress for the check; she provides it, and doesn't say a word. I'm flabbergasted. Here is a perfect opportunity to apologize for the shitty service we have been clearly experience, but no, nothing. We walk to the register to pay, and the Assistant Manager who walked by previously was there. She takes my card, runs it through, and apologizes for the poor service. Doesn't offer a discount or anything. She asks if I want to leave a tip...the rudeness, the ignorance. We plan on not coming back to this restaurant, or any other Bob Evan's restaurants for as long as there is breathe in my body. I swear, this was one of the most dumbfounding restaurant experiences. If only we could Make America Great Again by burning this place to the ground, and starting all over, we'd be heading in the right direction. My husband and I started going to this bob evans since the beginning of dec 2020. It's just ok! I looked forward to the half portion of the wild fire chicken salad. A few times I had a waitress tell me they only have full size. Telling her no I just ordered it a few days ago. So I got it. Well today I had this girl that didn't even want to be there take my order , again only full size. I started not to order it but she said it's only a dollar more so I did. I can not eat that full size so wasted. You can't bring home a salad eat it later, I know I can't. Anyway....... the service over there reguardless is awful. Very slow service and servers aren't happy. We walked in today the place was dirty. Silverware all over the place , needed swept etc. not to mention they over bake the rolls 95 % of the time. I ask for the lightest and here comes very brown! They can't say they might need to bake a certain mount of time. I've gotten my rolls many times very light! Doubt I return! We cruised into this location on a Thursday night at 8:30. We noticed they closed at 9:00 and asked them if we were putting them out since they closed in 30 minutes. Manager quickly replied, "Absolutely no inconvenience! C'mon in!" Our waitress, Samantha, was a pure joy! She knew every corner of the menu from top to bottom and had the most bubbly attitude I've ever seen! Our orders were promptly taken and everything was really good! Bean soup, hot ham & cheese with fries and a triple cheese burger were all hot, tasty, and fast. Samantha filled the drinks before we were even at the halfway point of emptying them. She was truly a gem, one of the best waitresses we've had anywhere. What was super noteworthy was that flavored creamers were on the table for coffee. 1 star - many reasons where to start. It's was a Friday night, yes but 7:00 pm. It wasn't busy at all but 3 parties walked in at the same time. Took 15 minutes to be seated. When seated took 10-15 min to get a server to come to the table and take a drink order. All they had was milk, coffee and water because the CO machine wasn't working. Got my drink order in and then we waited. After 25 more min I decided to leave. No one came back to the table. The manager walked by several times talking on his phone. Why the place has 5 stars is beyond my understanding. I was in town visiting family and stopped in for dinner because I had a breakfast food craving. We walked in around 5:00 pm and they were not very busy. It took us a few minutes to be seated, lots of empty tables that hadn't been cleaned or cleared of plates. Our waitress brought out our drinks and took our order. While waiting on my food I went to the ladies room to wash my hands, the floors were extremely sticky and even after I exited the restroom my shoes were still sticking to the floor. My dad also noticed this about the men's room floor as well. When this was mentioned to the store manager as we left, she argued that she had just been in the restroom earlier and it was fine, but she would check it out. Back to the food. The food was mediocre at best and my bacon was very tough. I had the egg, bacon, and biscuit breakfast and my dad ordered a couple of appetizers and wasn't impressed either. We were never checked in on, however in passing the waitress said she would refill my dad's drink because it was empty. About 30 minutes later she had still not refilled his drink and we were done eating and ready to leave. As we asked for the check she brought the drink, my dad told her thanks but we were done and wanted the check. She then slams the check on the table and walks away. Upon looking at the bill we noticed she gave us a check for another table, the manager was informed and promptly gave us the correct bill, we paid and left. It was clear they could have used more staffing, however they were not busy and will a little effort could have provided better service. We did not return to this restaurant again while in town and would not recommend it. Go to Breakfast Station if your hungry for breakfast, great food and great service. I will not likely visit any Bob Evan's in the future, this restaurant gave a really bad impression on the standards of the chains quality and service. read more

We waited for over an hour in the middle of the day for lunch. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes but we were served blueberry pancakes. Two of the pancakes orders were hard as rocks. Overall a terrible experience. The server was very attentive and really nice so at least there was that. They comped the entire meal so Atleast we didn't have to pay for the food we didn't even eat. My Husband and I went to Bob Evans Saturday January 30th, 2016. When a couple people that work there saw us coming, they immediately Opened the door for us. I had surgery on my stump and not able to wear my leg. Tyler led us to a table where we were seated. Very polite young man. I think he is fairly new but will do very well at his job. Our waitress was Taylor, not only was she new and very good at her duties. My husband and I were quite impressed with her. She is in High school, and taking four college courses, plus she is working and keeping her grades up. We are generous tippers Usually 25% sometimes more. But Eric tipped her much more than the required. I'm not bragging, we wanted her to know we are very appreciative of her waitress skills and also proud of her achievements. Let me preface this by saying that the manager did handle our situation appropriately; however, that was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, even in a town where I wouldn't say restaurants are particularly striving for greatness. She did give us a full refund and asked us to clarify why we were dissatisfied. We were greeted promptly and brought our drinks. While ordering food, we inquired as to whether or not the burgers and sauce contained MSG. My mom and I are both intolerant, with her issue being more severe. We don't expect everyone to understand what that is or what it means (or that it's in a lot, and often listed as "natural flavors), but our waiter said "I don't know" while shaking his head as if we were speaking another language, and didn't find out the answer. As a long-time server, I've always tried to find out something I didn't know and do my best to get an answer-not to mention apologize and try to remedy the situation if we couldn't get an answer. Our food took a while, and when it came out, my burger looked like a thin, microwaved patty-but I happily gave it a shot, with my hunger. Unfortunately, it was worse than my eyes could have predicted-mealy In texture and like a bland, frozen-dinner sausage in taste. After deciding not to eat it, we sat with our waiter nowhere in site for a while, until I finally had to ask the host if he could access our check. I have let some time go by so that I could write a review that was not biased by anger and or aggravation . Here is my report of my experience on Bob Evans in Spring Hill /Cortez. So when we arrived I waited by the hostess stand for about 10 minutes while people who worked there were gossiping at the bake goods counter just a few feet away. Finally another employee came over and tried to stare down the people that should have been working and paying attention and then said she they were sorry for the wait. My party of two was seated and then it was another 10 minutes before we were addressed by a server. I gave us 45 minutes to eat something before another Doctors appointment. So now we are at 20 minutes.... She took our drink order and then we got our coffer in another 8 minutes. We put in our order which by all accounts should have been simple as its what they specialize in, { two farmer omelets and toast and two bowls of sausage gravy}.. It took forever!!!!!! The one omelet came up to the kitchens warmer window which I had an excellent view of and the omelet sat there for 15 minutes! The other Omelet came up and then she served them with no toast and no gravy. We asked for the additional items that we ordered and she said she was sorry and went back to the kitchen window. I got served the 1st omelet that came up and it was cold. Not warm, not even barely warm, it was cold. So I figure out that, yep, we have picked a bad restaurant to patronize. There are so many options to eat at but we had the bad luck of picking this one. So the gravy comes and its not right, its not sausage gravy its the plain type. I never said anything; its obvious what our experience is going to be and so I just wanted to eat and get out. Some may ask, well, why didn't you give the cold omelet back and get a new one. Okay, that's a fair question; its because we haven;t eaten all day, I was very hungry and we had to make a doctors appointment and this simple meal was taking way too long. So an Asst. Manager comes over asks how everything was and I tell her, calmly but firmly. She apologizes and then when we get to the register she offers to take my omelet off the bill; I refuse and here is why. If I have a bad experience at a restaurant and I want to be able to report to the world at large my experience, I don't fee like I have that right if I don't pay for the meal. I don't want something for nothing, when we all go out to eat we do it because we want good food and because we aren't interested in cooking at home or we are away from home. From my experience and from what I saw from other reactions from other patrons in the Bob Evans on Cortez Blvd. in Spring Hill / Brooksville Florida; save your money and your happiness and stay away. Okay here i never dreamed i would give a Bob Evans Restaurant a bad review? I am originally from Ohio and we have them all over their a favorite of many up North! I anticipatingly waited for our local Cortez Blvd Bob Evans opening to enjoy what iv'e come to known good food from a Home State hot spot of Country Cooking Sit down style. Now i wish to share i did give this location 2 trys before writing a review, so here goes.... Our first Disaster was closer to opening about a month in you would think all the creases and crinks and boo boo's and order mess up be figured out and modified for better service and food quality! We ordered two dinners now mind you i am writing this as a order online and pick up i never did get the opportunity to dine in, as way to busy never enough seating nor a long wait! So online we order to enjoy this food at home at our table. I order two dinner entree's of Country fried steak with all the delicious sides, mashed potato's with country , or chicken or beef, or turkey gravy your choice, mine is always country gravy on both my country fried steak and mashed, my spouse gets the chicken gravy on the mashed and country on the Steak! We get sides of Green beans with ham, then a side of dressing, then the rolls, the salad or soup your choice, and a dessert either pumpkin bread or banana nut! the first order was sad cause we get home we get only mashed and the country fried steak, no country gravy on one of them, and the mashed is just potato's on one and the other nothing, NO GREEN BEANS, and i got cookies instead of bread i will admit i did not call i made the best of it and we moved on! I figure hey its new their still getting the bugs worked out??? So it goes a few months we entertain the idea again, we do the same, now i did not add last time they was super busy took time to even get our curbside order, so heavy wait time, this time now i put order in it says half hour, i get their they explain is a mess busy its gonna take a lil longer they will give us some extra bread or cookies for our wait, so here goes the catastrophe begins. just will narrow it down for reading purposes... follow me closely .. 1. We waited like a Hour and a Half for our food, people standing inside ahead of us waiting to get their call in order! a major mess ( who is managing the help and should they not take online orders if they cannot keep up with dining room orders let along all the curbside orders? 2. We wait and we wait finally i am dry as hell my throat needed something i told my spouse go in and ask for a soda and they better not charge for the AGAIN ..inconvenience! they give us two small drinks while waiting and rest assured waiting on our order is coming up? 3. After waiting all this time seeing people finally getting their orders and looking as frustrated as I, my spouse is not inside they are putting the order together she asked did you make sure everything is right..they confirm, adding they took some off my charge which was a lie, they added free bread which was true i will get to that in a moment, i ordered food and some extras like another container of Green Beans which we love, and a container of Mac & Cheese, ok we got one small container for $2.19 of Mac ? mp Green Beans?? our Gravy AGAIN NONE, so we got damn free loaf bread they screwed our dinner up yet again...i call this time, they try to explain, i got what i paid for i said no i did not i said no discount on card to no reply, then i was put off to talk to the manager about it, and they conveniently disconnected me on the line..lol imagine that! How convenient! I am sadly done with this location it sucks bad, too busy business who designed this one its business is too big for its building and staff! the online curbside service is a total joke and trust me never what you pay for and assured yourself that order you put in will be messed up! Who trains these young men and women, where is customer service? I am sorry to say a Home State legend fails by comparison to what iv'e grown to expect, sadly they will never get a chance to show me they have gotten better. I would NEVER recommend this Bob Evans to anyone..you be better to go to Kally K's.. if you do try them go in wait for your food then pull everything out and verify there you gotten what you paid for, NO MISTAKES! its funny side note there is so many hands handling your order its no wonder..one thinks someone did this while the other has same mind set, no organization, or quality checking for accuracy? But they will state to your face oh yes we made sure its in there lol Yeah right...famous last words for sure! In Closing....... Well it's been years since I've been to a Bob Evan's always loved the food. Well needless to say I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant today!! I definitely won't be back. Ordered a simple breakfast. Scrambled eggs (dry) , bacon, pancakes and coffee. Order comes out with not the waitress but someone else. I take a look and The eggs have slime and the bacon is burnt/black as night. The pancakes are dry and by now the coffee is gone and eggs untouched and bacon is still there and pancakes are only things I'm choking down. I watch as the other waiter is cleaning off the tables and he wipes the crumbs and trash right onto the floor. Windowsill I notice are covers in dust and crumbs as well have half full creamer containers on them. The service all in all was horrible here. Well... I'm only giving one star because the app won't let me give zero stars. I'll start with the good... My chicken tenders and my Mac n cheese. My guests food was bad the gravy for the biscuits and gravy looked old, could have honestly had better from out of the can. The manager asked us if there was anything he could do to fix the issue so he mad my guest a turkey and cheese sandwich (Grilled). At the end she ended up paying full price for this (grilled cheese and turkey sandwich) I could have made at home .. literally! I should have taken a picture!! My hash browns were dry like it sat under a heat lamp for 15+ minutes. The first time I ate here I did not have a great experience.. and now giving it a second chance I definitely left aggravated! I payed extra money for desert at the end that I had to LITERALLY wait over 15 minutes for. The waitress was decent at first, nice but ended up damn near forgetting about us at the end... another waitress had to help us. All and all while still waiting for my desert I ended up leaving the pie and left because at that point I had enough! I guess if your not 55+ you get shit service. People are beyond friendly! That is the absolute best part. They made our rolls fresh. We started off with two appetizers, the twisted cheese sticks, and the onion petals. Not very much but for the price they are worth it. They were fresh and delicious. May I add that the berry tea was right on point? I ordered the country fried steak with the potato soup and rolls both were very hot and good. My party ordered the crispy chicken club. The bacon was definitely not fresh but the sandwich and fries were above what we expected for the price. My other party had the potato encrusted flounder and it was exceptional! For dessert we had the caramel and fudge sundae. There was an up charge for the fudge, which was a little disappointing because it was so small. When we got the bill it was under 50$! What an amazing price for such an awesome meal and such friendly staff. You can bet that I'll be back. read more

Dinner was pot roast and mashed potatoes, roast and carrots were nice, potatoes were average. Dessert, well we had been eating that the entire meal.
