Went on a Tuesday definitely after 5 with my 6 year old son. It's displayed on posters on the walls and on the kids menu that kids eat free on Tuesdays after 5. They charged me for my sons meal. I paid it but you can't tell me the waitresses there don't know, Every table in the place had kids at it so you know at least one of those tables besides mine know kids eat free. I paid it just to see if the cashier would catch it that I was charged for the kids meal but nope. So it feels like they charge you in hopes that you don't know this. Bob Evans means breakfast time! I was meeting a friend for breakfast while in town. I wasn't a regular at this location but I'm definitely glad we picked this place! The service was impeccable! Our coffee was hot and filled the entire time. She always had a smile on her face. So friendly and genuinely nice! For my choice of breakfast, I went with the Farmer's Market Omelet. It was stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, tomatoes, onions, spinach and cheese. Not to mention it was topped off with a drizzling of hollandaise sauce. Perfect! It was accompanied by hash browns and your choice of specialty bread. I went with the banana nut bread. This was absolutely delicious and baked fresh! The hash browns were evenly cooked with just enough brown on each side. For my money, Bob Evans is an incredible place for a great breakfast and great service. read more

I love Bob Evans, and think it's one of the better chain breakfast places out there. I've eaten at a few different locations over the years, and this one's new to me. When I'm on this side of town, this is where the man and I go to eat. This place is clean and in good shape. Large, spacious, and set up like all the other Bob Evan's I've been to over the years. Great menu selection, solid service staff, and always something hearty and good to eat no matter what meal your looking for. I went with the Pot Roast breakfast, over has browns with eggs this time. Holy Moly was it delicious. I could have eaten two if I had two stomachs. What I get here varies, as I like to try different things when I come here. Lately it's been for breakfast, and it's always good. The downside? EVERYTHING is somehow either covered in pork, comes with 10 sides of pork, or has half a pig in it. I personally don't eat pork, so at times I feel limited in what I can get in regards to breakfast. You can still have a "down home" breakfast pork free ya know. I do eat everything else, (beef, chicken, fish etc) but wish they had maybe a few more options with Turkey instead of the standard pig. It's not a huge deal, but noticeable none the less. The coffee here is outstanding as well. They bring you out a whole jug of it, along with fresh cream in a container, which I love. None of that pre packaged international delight stuff. (I don't mind international delight, but at times it doesn't always come across as authentic. Sometimes I want to feel like they put the effort into little things like giving me fresh cream instead of stuff out of a box.) Bonus points for them. Also, if you ask, they will bring you a to go cup and you can take coffee with you, which is what I do every single time I'm here. Overall no problems here what so ever. They have a good thing going and glad to see Bob Evan's is on top of their game, staying classy after all these years. I've seen some chains slip into a comfort zone where they slack with stuff, but not Bob Evan's. I will continue to eat here as I have over the past several years as I love what their putting out. Bob Evans may have the culinary creativity of a Denny's but their carb and fat laden comfort foods are among the best. Chicken-N-Noodles have been my favorite since childhood and whenever I am in the area I try to stop in for my fix. Over the years the food has been very consistent. Found out what the ingredient is to their award winning sausage patties... THE WAX PAPER (you know the paper that separates the patties before they're cooked. It was underneath my patty so unfortunately didn't catch it before it got into my mouth. Spoke to the manager and even though at first her attitude seemed off she did apologize and asked what she could do.. my gf and I are pretty nice and understanding people so we said it was no problem and kinda just let her decide what to do. She came back with a new check, did apologize again, which I appreciated, and told us that she took the drinks off and it made it like half off the bill. We thanked her and again said it was okay. After turning the bill around we saw that the drinks were the only thing to come off which meant the bill was $2.69 + $2.69 cheaper making a total of $20.01 and I doubt our original bill was $40 so kinda wasn't really half off. We had a Friendsgiving here yesterday for a pal who was recovering from surgery. This was the closest option to everyone's home and was easy for our friend to navigate. The Thanksgiving menu is limited. It has breakfast foods plus a small dinner menu which was turkey, ham, or roast pork and mushrooms. Dinner was $14.99 and consisted of bread, the entree, three sides and a dessert. Service was fast and top notch. Dinner was great and the pumpkin supreme pie is not to be missed. I went there for Thanksgiving with my family... It was awful. The food wasn't very good, they kept forgetting to bring an ice water to our table, and they didn't give us our pumpkin pie that came with the meal. When the waiter brought honey to our table, he stood behind us and waved it around, instead of saying "excuse me ma'am" or something. We had to remind our waiter to bring us our pumpkin pie. I came here another time, and we ordered our drinks. When I said I needed more time to figure out what I was ordering, she didn't come back to our table, even after calling her name several times. Ordered online, arrived at the time specified online, & still waited for my biscuits for almost 30 MINUTES!!!! EACH TIME! Well, I guess that's not true; one time I only had to wait an additional 10 minutes after arriving at the specified time, but considering that they gave me the wrong order & I had to turn around to get MY food, I count that as atleast 30 minutes of my life that Bob Evans wasted that day. I just spent $10 on a Western Omlet to go. Kinda pricy but I have ordered from here several times before. Well got my omlet home and it looked like a child cut up the ingredients. Ham was cubed, some strips and the veggies were so large they were under cooked. In the past when I got this, all ingredients were finely diced and all uniform in size. Might as well just list all of the things what went wrong here: - They sat my girlfriend at a table that hadn't been wiped down and still had pieces of food on it - When we told them, they wiped the table down with the most disgusting looking cloth that made the tabletop sticky -I ordered Earl Grey tea, they brought me a container with tea bags in it, but only green and peppermint. When I told the waitress she said, "No, it's in there, its the yellow bag." I later had to physically show her there was no earl grey teabag in there. - The canister with hot water they gave me made the water taste like coffee, had to ask for a new one. - Only half of my girlfriend's meal came, we had to tell our waitress, and it turns out that the cooks forgot to make the other half. -When the other half did come (pancakes), there were green onions from another dish that had fallen on the plate. - Scrambled eggs were still liquid in the middle -The manager was actually very nice and listened to all of our complaints, then took all of the price of my girlfriend's meal off of the bill. In short, the manager seems to be the only competent one at this restaurant, and while I appreciate her service, it is not enough for me to go back. read more

When I got the order I told the waitress it was wrong and she agreed. Then a manager came and apologized. Soon they came back with the exact same thing I said was wrong and they said it depended on the cook and today was the general manager and he said this is how it's supposed to be. They have a beautiful bakery here. This is Wednesday lunchtime there was a short line up so we're sitting here waiting our turn. I filled out the application for be- mail and you receive free pancakes on your next visit. My favorite breakfast is the farmers choice because I adore the crepes and you get one crepe with that breakfast. My friend is getting the cheese omelet and I'm getting hash browns he's getting home fries, yummy in my tummy. Waitress was not aware that if a child joins sweet treat club they get a free cookie people at the next table were asking and the waitress didn't know anything about it and a couple said they saw it online and it's also written on the child's Cup. There seems to be some confusion in regards to it but the waitress did bring him a cookie. Seems to be taking a long time to get the food. No sooner than I said that the food arrived. The food is excellent we will be back . We like our waitress also. If I could give less than one star I would. The girl who took my phone order I believe was illiterate. Got turkey and dressing dinner, very small portion of turkey. Side of coke slaw was the size of a thimbo. I asked for banana nut bread and got what looked like blueberry bread that I tossed in trash. There was 4 of us coming home from Windsor and we stopped at this Bob Evans to get breakfast. We live in Cleveland, Ohio. I noticed when we were close to home that I did not have my phone. I tracked it with my ipad and found out that I left it at this Bob Evans. I immediately called, and the manager got on the phone and said he had my phone safely in his office. Being that I live 2 1/2 hrs. away, I asked him if he could mail it to me. He was extremely nice and took down my address. 2 days later my phone was in my mailbox. The manager went above and beyond! An improvement....thank God for competition We stopped going to Bob Evans some time ago due to the skimpy portions and higher prices; however, we are now going back because of their new menu which consists of soup and salad. The big draw on this is you get a good choice of salad dressings and bread, which we especially like the banana nut and blueberry bread. We have gone a few times because of this and it gives the Olive Garden some honest competition. They have also added additional items which we may try in the future. read more
