I'm going to be honest I thought I wasn't going to be happy with the food here. It was my first visit to a Bob Evans and my expectations were kind of low. I was staying at a hotel next door and I didn't want to drive anywhere for food. So I walked to Bob Evans. The menu is large, lots of options. It's kind of all over the place. The menu that is... because one item will describe the entree and then in parenthesis it'll say (choice of 2 sides) but the sides are displayed. I asked the waitress and she had to turn two pages to show me where the side options were. As a individual in the marketing industry, I would make the menu friendly enough for everyone. In the sense that I would probably put the side options on the top or bottom of every page. It would facilitate the ordering process for people which in turn can increase the turn around on tables. That's just me. Anyways, on to the important part ... the food! I ordered the chicken sandwich. I normally don't eat meat, poultry or fish, but I really wanted a chicken sandwich. Boy was I glad I ordered it. It cam with ciabatta bread that seemed as though they had just baked it. Literally tore softly with your teeth. Everything was cooked to perfection. I haven't had a warm sandwich like that in a long time. I was surprised. My two sides were fries and mac and cheese. I would recommend to get some lighter option than the ones I chose. It's a lot of food. I didn't get to the fries and barely finished the entire chicken sandwich, it's a good portion. All in all, my meal came out to about $10. I didn't order a drink, I had water. Therefore, It's a decently price meal. The waitress did bring my bill prematurely though. Right after dropping off my meal at the table, my bill was brought too. I told it was a little premature considering I just got my food. Other than that, my expectations were quickly changed and I would recommend this place to other. I recommend this place to you! Horrible service. Ordered the family feast to make the holidays less stressful on my family. Missing our rolls, gravy, gave us the wrong pie and did not have my order ready when I got there. I ordered 3 breakfast meals and 1 family size chicken soup. I asked for apple butter or honey with our toast and biscuits. Did not get any or butter. The toast and biscuits were hard. Could not eat them. Fruit was 2 thin slices of cantaloupe with the outer skin on it and some grapes. Hardly what I call a fruit cup. Won't be back. read more

Had a large order today 4/19/21 and the food was extremely cold, uncooked and the food made three of the persons terribly ill, i called to express the concern on the order and the manager was totally uncaring and said there is nothing he could do, knowing that the food made several people very sick and they had to leave work and go home due to the food being so bad. This is truly unprofessional and uncaring of the management. You need to hope that the individuals that left work today due to being so sick from your food do not go to the hospital.. I'm only rating the customer service as we never actually received our food, so I don't know if it is good or not. We ordered chicken fried steak and biscuits with gravy. After waiting 20 mins I asked my waitress about our order. After checking with the kitchen she said it would be up in 8 mins or so. After another 10 mins she came back and stated that the kitchen was in training which is why our order was taking so long. After waiting 40 mins we had to leave. I have been going to Bob Evans for awhile. The staff is nice and the food is good. The long standing problem they seem to have is getting food out within a reasonable time. Today it was 31 minutes and I sat at the bar. On the monitor you can see that the average order is taking about 19 minutes. I think they either have too small a kitchen and/or not enough kitchen staff. For about the same amount of money I can go to first watch and have my food within 5-10 minutes. read more

Normally when we come in the food is great and service it's great. Today it was very disheartening! My chicken fried steak was lukewarm at best, and the amount of hash browns given wouldn't feed a parakeet. My daughter ordered a scrambled egg and the cook must have split her egg with someone else because the three bites surely wasn't a full egg. The manager on duty walked up and asked if everything was good, I so spoke up and said no at the same time my wife said yes because she doesn't like to complain. The manager looked at me like a deer in the headlights and walked off without saying boo, much less ask what was wrong. The only refreshing thing about our visit was Jo our server. He asked to bring more food and was very apologetic for the entire experience. If not for him or the delivery person ( young man) there would be no stars. It is sad when the delivery person apologized for a bad experience and the cashier who evidently was also in some type of management never acknowledged anything. My mother and I stopped in for take out before our flight. She ordered the hog and I ordered a omelette with French toast. The bag was already sealed bib they assured everything was inside. The food was hot but everything lacked in flavor my omelette wasn't even seasoned with salt and pepper I ordered it with onions mushrooms and sausage but no sausage. All the meat from my mothers meal was burnt along with her hash-browns. They also forgot my fruit on the side. Also my French toast nasty had no flavor thankfully I got chocolate chips. Our first time here. SUMMARY in 3 letters: YUM! The fresh ingredients they claim to use are definitely NOT EXAGGERATED, even the eggs tasted better. Everything just oozed with freshness from the homemade pancake batter to the home fries. Very few places understand or get over medium eggs right but here they were spot on. French toast, banana pancakes, country fried steak were all delicious including the country biscuit gravy! Sharayah was great in lieu of having a full house! We shall return! Visited for a weekend breakfast. We were promptly seated and the overall service was good. I ordered the mini sampler with an over easy egg, sausage links, hash browns, and a biscuit. Most of the time, Bob Evans is pretty decent. Their biscuit bowls tend to come out on the doughy side, but that's tolerable. Their prices aren't too bad. They're kind of like that boyfriend or girlfriend who kept you from being lonely but didn't do a whole lot more good in your life. The most recent time we came here, I asked for a grilled cheese on rye, which came out on white. It was difficult to find our server for refills, and when the check finally came, it contained two distinct errors, each of which was in the restaurant's favor. I prefer this location over the one in Carrollwood. The service is better and the atmosphere seems more comfortable. I also like the location being in a less busy area. The food has always been good and consistent as well. We also catered with them on one occasion and were pleased. read more

I don't believe I have Bob Evans where I live at in the west coast so it was a new experience for me. When I got there I wasn't greeted along with a bunch of other guest waiting. We were standing around waiting to be seated but there wasn't any host to sit us for at least 20 minutes or even come to tell us anything. I originally came there to have breakfast but it was dinner time and I decided to grab something that suits the time. The waitress was great very friendly and attentive and made up for the lack of service to start. For my meal I ended up getting the 3 course meal special with a farm house salad which was delicious with their colonial sauce. For my entree I got 2 chicken filets with melted butter, corn, mashed potatoes and biscuits all three were delicious and fit the meal well. And for dessert I got the apple pie which was just like any other apple pie nothing special. The food was delicious and was a lot of food for only 30 dollars. My wwife and I ate there around 10 days ago. I had the burger special that was great with spinach leaves on the bottom of the bun, swiss cheese, mushrooms and it was delicious. My wife has fresh blueberry pancakes, she loved them. We went again yesterday as I had a craving for the burger again. First they gave me the wrong burger so I sent it back and was told that it would be 5-7 minutes to cook another one. When that one was brought to me the only difference was that they added the spinage and mushrooms to the origional one. Very upseting if they think that I or anyone else would not have noticed. Nobody could give me the right answers on why this was done. As well as the food was cold except for the mushrooms. Shame on them as this is the last time I will be going back. read more

Great service and convenient to hotels. The staff was very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. It was Valentine's Day night and the place was packed but no customer went unnoticed. The manager walked around three times while I was there asking everyone how things were. She kept the kitchen and front end hustling and energized. I heard her yell out to her team that they were really rocking and knocking things out quickly. That's really good motivation to a team busily working on a "semi holiday". I guess, though, that that would be my only complaint, if you will: her yelling. She was VERY loud and we heard every word. So, if you're looking for good food and service, this is the place.
