I am a fan of Boba Guys. Consistently good drinks and snack options. On this visit, I got the Hibiscus Mint, which was refreshing, and a blondie as a treat.

I was driving back to the city and I was thirsty so I decided to stop by here so here I am. I've been to their locations in San Ramon and Burlingame plenty of times, but it was my first time at this location. I ordered my go to the Korean banana milk. As always this drink was solid. This shop is pretty small compared to the other ones I've been to. It was also the least busy one. My drink came out pretty fast which usually never happens lol. Try it out if you like. :)

When we came in, we were greeted warmly with our cute corgi. We came here after our hike! I ordered my usual strawberry matcha latte. The OG from boba guys. We got regular milk, and ordered with less ice as usual. This always hits right for me. Super delightful customer service and great boba!

I tried a hack or creation of my own, which was the Korean banana milk with an added extra shot of Matcha, which basically made it banana Matcha. This was on the sweeter side, even though I got less sugar so keep that in mind. It did have really good flavor to it and a good balance if you're looking for a creation if you like banana and matcha together. I'm surprised they didn't have this on a regular menu item option or maybe a secret menu. They have a Boba guys mobile passport for the rewards program, but I really feel like they are in need of an upgrade. For the frequent customers, that reward system isn't really in accumulation to get something, which is the whole point. Often times they do spin the wheel, which will only give you a percentage off. I feel like when you spend a certain amount of drinks like 10 you should be able to redeem a free drink or five dollars off as an incentive.

This is a smaller boba guys location and can get quite busy on the weekends. No tables to sit down at but there are barstools to sit while waiting. There was only one worker who was kind and apologized for the wait. I ordered my drink and it was finished pretty quickly and was exactly what I was hoping for. Def would come back when I'm in the area.

Excellent boba drinks and great service. Royal was particularly cheerful and focused on what we wanted and made them for us promptly. We had the classic black boba with 25% sugar, it was delicious. We'd definitely like to come back again when we are in town.

The drinks are of great quality. We came in through Kevin Lu's holiday event and will definitely be back. Thank you for introducing us to this business! Friendly staff, quick service.

I've actually never been to this location of boba guys before. It's located in DT Los Altos and literally right on the corner. At first I missed it because I didn't see any signage, but just look for the black and white striped outside with hanging flowers. Very small shop inside so I'm glad I did the preorder option. There's also an iPad screen to order at the front if you want to do it on the spot. Boba texture is always on point and the quality of matcha is always on point. I prefer a stronger matcha taste, so I always have to pay for an extra shot to make it stronger. This time I got their new seasonal coconut yuzu matcha and was pleasantly surprised. It was coconutty with a slight zing and super refreshing. I didn't know how the flavor combo was gonna work, but it actually tied very well together. Onto the negative, with most of their drinks they do NOT even have the option to adjust the ice level and to top off. This means you end up with 60% ice and less drink. I really wish they changed this option. Ive asked a different location in the past and they did it, so I think it just depends on the person. There's also no where on the preorder page to write that in or add that as a customization. I also don't love the overall loyalty program via boba passport online that's linked with your phone or email. Hopefully they look into creating a separate app.

I have been to this location twice and staff was friendly and welcoming both times. I believe someone was being trained one day and the other I went right at opening so no boba ready yet, but it smelled so good! It's a cute little location and the teas or coffees are always great!

Eh. Nothing special. Didn't taste fresh or amazing. I got the Thai tea and the service was really fast. The store was super clean as well and smelled good. The drinks themselves were very whatever. They didn't taste amazing. The boba guys in Santana row was a lot better than this one though.

It's been a while since I've had Boba Guys. Wow! They have so many locations that have opened up. This new one in Los Altos was convenient for me post-Sunday hike. Since it had been so long, I went for something new, one of their seasonals - Pandan Caramel Matcha. I like Pandan, I like Matcha. Sounded like it could be good. Ordered online and waited inside. Was quietly keeping to myself and the staff were fairly quick to ask if I had a pick up order. Didn't take long - it was a rainy weekend and not many customers in DT Los Altos period, but I see this as a less busy location in general. Aside - not a fan of their new cups. I always drink these with a straw and the opening seems bigger than the older cups. Don't get me started on those straws either. Oh yes, love to be kind to the environment. Got the drink, tried it. Womp womp. Maybe it's my taste buds? Maybe I've been gone too long and forgot the Boba Guys taste? Not much matcha flavor, same with the pandan. I was craving more flavor. Sure I could've added an extra shot of matcha but should I need to? I don't at other shops. If you already like Boba Guys this is a good location for quick service. For a matcha milk tea with boba, I'm going elsewhere.

I'm usually not a fan of Boba Guys, but decided to give it another try since the only other boba place in downtown Los Altos was T4. The ambience of this Boba Guys was nice and clean, and you can order at the counter or online. I didn't feel like drinking tea, so I wanted to try either their banana milk or ube latte. Both were made using non-dairy milk by default, and the barista turned me down when I asked if my drinks can be made with regular dairy milk instead. He was nice enough to let me sample the banana milk which contains oat milk, and told me that he can remake the drink if I was not satisfied. I felt slightly bad for inconveniencing him and ended up getting the ube latte which contains coconut milk. As I had expected, the flavor of the coconut milk dominated the flavor of the ube; it wasn't bad but was also not what I was craving for. Oh well, it was still a refreshing drink on a hot day, and the good service provided by this place earned it the 4/5.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends after brunch! There was no line and we ordered right away. My friend had asked a few questions about the different drink options and they were able to offer us a sample! The staff were extremely friendly and offered to make any adjustments to our drinks! I got my usual matcha latte, less ice, 0% sweet with boba. It was perfect as always! My friend got the classic hong kong milk tea, which was also great! Will definitely be back again :)

The Korean banana milk boba is incredible. The staff could be little friendlier. I find the small corner shop makes this place so charming!!

After I told a hg that I really enjoy floral tea, she highly recommended Molly Tea!…read more --- D R I N K S --- My favorite combo is the White Champaca Milk tea with a Jasmine Whipped Cream With Pecan top and sago! It sounds like a lot, but it actually works really well together. The White Champaca tea is on the mellow side, the Jasmine whipped cream adds additional floral aroma and extra creaminess, the sago gives texture without overpowering the drink, and the little bits of pecan add a nice surprise crunch. My husband's favorite is the Peach Oolong. I've had my fair share of peach milk teas over the years where they can be too sweet and the peach flavor tastes straight up like chemicals, but this has to be the best peach-flavored tea I've had so far! It has a fruity taste that doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. When I first visited last year, they had a "Fresh Oat Milk Tea Series", but I'm sad to say that it's not on this location's menu anymore. _______________________________________________________ ---A M B I A N C E -- I'm diggin' the woodsy, warm, Asian-y aesthetic they got going on! Tea and merch are displayed on the walls, and pink is definitely their signature color, so expect to see pops of it here and there in the decor, cups, and to-go bags. This location has a decent amount of chairs and tables, but let me tell you, this place was hella busy back when it was the only Bay Area location. We learned the hard way that the parking lot gets packed. Sometimes you'll get stuck in the super small lot because someone isn't even in a spot -- they just have their car parked with the hazards on while they run in to pick up their drink. Other times, cars are waiting and signaling for a parking spot while other cars are on standby waiting for people to leave after grabbing their drinks. The gas station behind the shop clearly got tired of it too because they put up a bunch of signs saying they'll tow if you park there just to visit Molly Tea. I highly recommend parking down the street near the apartment sidewalks or across the street and taking a little stroll to the store instead. Honestly, it just showed me that no matter how tiny the lot was, people still made the effort to slide through for drank. Fair warning though -- definitely expect to wait and chill. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- I will say, the staff handles the busyness pretty well. Lines are usually at or out the door, and they're receiving online orders simultaneously. There's another boba shop in the Bay that has a similar layout and process as Molly Tea, but that other chain feels like workers on an assembly line with deadpan faces. I feel like the brightness and warmth of Molly Tea is emphasized even more because of the friendly staff and their willingness to help with your order even after it's received.

Molly Tea is a favorite amongst boba drinkers, and this location is no different. The parking lot…read moreis a tad small, and the orders come in and out even on weekday afternoons when one might expect a calmer time. Ordering is pretty straightforward on their self-service kiosks. On this particular visit, I had their White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and 30% sugar. Somehow, they always get it just right in terms of sweetness. The best part is the "three stack straw" which really brings out the taste of the tea. Drinks were being made and served to order minute by minute, and the overall wait time was ~ 15 minutes. While the seating here is comfortable and can be relaxing, make sure to plan ahead, as the sun can be quite the nuisance at the right angles!

Stopped in for a post meal sweet treat. Definitely looks and sounds like a chain...doing matcha,…read moreboth in drinks and in soft serve ice cream. Business is in a modern retail space where urban dwellings are above the retail spaces at ground level. Super high ceilings gave it a very airy space with tons of natural light from big windows. Place seemed very lively on a casual Sunday afternoon, seems people know they are there and like going there. Loved seeing that. I just got their basic Matcha Cold Brew ($6/4*) as I wanted to taste the purity of their product. I wanna say that most matcha drinks I've ever enjoyed were usually lattes of some sort where the matcha is mixed with some form of dairy to make it creamy. This was just matcha and water and is totally different than when it is mixed with dairy. IMO matcha is more satisfying and richer when dairy is incorporated into the mix, makes it more of a dessert/treat. This is more like drinking straight tea or black coffee. Good to taste as you can see the true characters of the green tea powder. Very herbacious, slight bitterness with an almost nori (dried seaweed) type of nuance. I enjoyed this but next time I'm gonna get more of a latte, possibly even with pureed fruit on the bottom, strawberry or guava most likely. Also tried a few bites from their Matcha Soft Serve ($6.50/5*) and I found this to be truly special. A nice sized cup enough to share even. Very creamy and not icy or too soft where it melts too fast. Perfect consistency and I usually don't like soft serve ice creams, I prefer real scooped ice cream. But not only was the texture great, but the flavor was a solid matcha flavor that was both smooth yet present. And you can pick a fruit to put on the bottom and a choice of a dusting if preferred which adds more dimension. Think we tried a lychee add where tiny cubes enhanced the bites and think there was a Hojitcha dusting as well to give it more roasty notes. I would get this again and try more different combinations. Place is very cutesy and girly with a Hello Kitty type of vibe. They seem to have another character a cartoon bunny from Asia that seems to be a mascot. I don't know much about that stuff, but for their delicious matcha products, my palate and belly is going to want for a return. And to that I shall oblige and grant.
