Finally a Boba Guys closer to work! We typically go to the Palo Alto location, however this one is much closer! It's located at the corner with lots of parking nearby. You can order ahead online as well. I highly recommend the strawberry matcha latte. It's a blend of all the right flavors. Not too sweet either which is a huge plus. We got Korean Banana Milk and also Ube. I didn't read the menu carefully, but Ube definitely had some ginger flavor added to the drink...unfortunately not my fav . Banana Milk was good and not too sweet. The tapioca balls were chewy but also tasted like it might have been soaked a little bit too long? It was kinda mooshy too... Service was great and drinks came out fast. Not a super long wait either. Right now is still under soft opening period (Thursday - Sunday 1-6pm). I used to like boba guys but the longer I've been a customer the worse everything gets. *ORDERED ONLINE THROUGH YELP APP/ THEIR WEBSITE* Ordering- relatively easy Price- not worth what I paid, 7$ for a boba, it is just not worth it Service- really bad. When we walked in only one other person was in line and ordering and we were a group of five so as we entered we stood on the side along the wall where the normal in person pick up is but a girl barked at us and told us to stand on the other side where all the DoorDash orders were on a rack. We obeyed and walked to the other wall and proceeded to look at their merchandise while they made our order. They brought over a DoorDash order in a bag to put on the rack but when they set it down they basically yelled at us saying that it wasn't our order and they were about to begin making ours. By then we've been waiting for 10 minutes which is fine. Then after looking at the tea samples as they had made our orders they told us that we now had to move BACK to the original place we were standing at to wait and pick up our drinks. Why were they so insistent on us standing on the other side? Only one other person was in the whole store with us. It was a quite Tuesday at 2 pm. It's not peak hours. They were incredibly rude. On top of that this one girl had a sweater she was wearing that was half on and half off her where she didn't have her arms through the sleeves but the hoodie bunched up around the neck (see pics) and the sleeves were swinging everywhere and was very unsanitary because I saw her open a fridge and the sleeve got caught when the fridge closed as she walked away. AND her sleeves proceeded to touch every surface of the counter and food. Gross. Drinks- the quality has just gone down, we were disappointed by the cups like everyone else because it looks like they took the cheaper option which resulted to a flimsy cup with sharpie writing on it instead of their usual cute logo. The flavor was lacking. The boba texture was not good, overall I couldn't recommend. Go somewhere else for your boba, it's taste better and be cheaper (hopefully). read more

So exciting to have a Boba Guys in Los Altos near me! I used to have to drive to Palo Alto to get Boba Guys, or when I'm in the city I'll make a quick stop. Still in soft opening so this specific store is only open Thurs-Sun before 6pm, which isn't the most accessible. I've been to Boba Guys for a few years know so I've settled on my favorite and go-to: large strawberry fresca with boba. Perfect sweetness for me, and love how chewy their boba is. I slurped the drink right up really quickly. I didn't notice any difference between my drink at this Boba Guys vs. the others, so good job with the soft opening! My tween just came home with a $12 Boba and due to a 'story' that the employees gave her about not being able to take cash was convinced by the employee that they were 'doing a favor' by taking the cash. Then my kiddo wanted to be 'kind' in turn and they kept the rest of her money as a 'tip'. 8$ 'tip' on a $12 tea a 68% tip?? This is exploitive to say the least. NO ONE should take advantage of a young person who obviously is still learning about how tipping works!! Horrendous behavior toward a young person! Came here with my cousin at opening, this location is very new, I believe it is still the soft opening. Giving 3 generous stars for effort. Even though, we were 2nd in line to order, it took about 20ish minutes to get out drinks. The crew seemed flustered and was being coached on the spot by their manager in charge. We ordered two drinks: ube latte with almond jelly- tasted more gingery than ube, luckily almond jelly and the coconut flavor was there to help a little, the drink was not well-balanced, but we were not going back because they were backed up after we left. I'm surprised of the lack of ratings of this Boba Guy, maybe because the location is not as centralized as Main Street? I worked down the street and have visited this Boba Guys three times now and they have been consistently excellent both in quality of drinks and service. Pros: - can order ahead and my orders are always ready by the time I picked up - the kids that work there are SO kind and professional with great attitude (and I'm a difficult women to please) - drink quality is consistent, way better than the T4 on Main Street I will keep coming back , keep up the good work!! read more

I didn't want I admit to falling into the fad of loving Boba Guys but here I am. I refused to stand in ridiculously long line in SF, but when this one opened up in Los Altos without a crazy line I was ecstatic. Every afternoon, I get a matcha latte so I decided to give them a try one afternoon. I did better. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with almond milk, and it was awesome! The strawberry jam that they use (homemade) isn't that sweet so even though they added the regular amount, I didn't die from the sweetness. Overly sweet things just kill drinks these days so I'm so glad to have found Boba Guys who apparently make so many items in-store. This past weekend, I finally tried their Korean banana milk and ube latte. I missed Korean banana milk as an adult but felt too guilty to buy the artificial ones from my childhood. This version had the perfect natural banana taste with being artificial and sweetness only from banana purée. The ube latte was also not super sweet and had an original taste unlike any other ube taste I've tried: cardamom. My husband thought it was chai. It's supposed to be Filipino ube variation but I also thought it tasted very Indian. Initially, I thought it was ginger with my perception that this place was very East Asian but turned out it was cardamom giving off such fragrance which was surprisingly floral. If you're sick of waiting in line in SF, you have to try this location. High quality ingredients say a lot about this boba place (didn't see artificial powders!) and worth stopping by here! read more

Just 10 days into the new year and I utterly failed at keeping my new year's resolution. Any modicum of willpower I had to forego that sugar-filled cup of bubble tea for a healthy salad has all but vanished when I nonchalantly passed by Boba Guys and saw that they had a seasonal peppermint white chocolate matcha latte AND there was no line! Well, that is where I went wrong and my new year's resolution plans were completely derailed...by the jolliest and friendliest bobarista, who goes by the name of Andre. I skeptically approached the counter and began inquiring about this suspiciously tempting holiday drink. I wanted to make sure that it had enough white peppermint flavor to take me back to the holiday season again, but not so much where it will subdue all flavors of the matcha latte. You can send it back to make any adjustments The staff goes over the menu with you if needed. Giving recommendations. They also make the drinks super fast. Literally ordered and then it was ready for pickup even when the line was out the door. Got my trusty matcha and strawberry latte. It's the right mix of creaminess and fruity blast. Not too sweet. I've heard so much about Boba Gus and was elated to try their drinks. The interior of the shop is super cut and has a nice neat, white aesthetic. Polaroids of staff are on a bulletin board, which is cute and makes the service seem more personal. However, the drinks were quite normal in standard compared to normal boba shops. Best boba place! My mom & I were trying to find the best boba place so we can enjoy boba together. That's when someone from my church recommended boba guys. My mom & I were skeptical because my sister lives in San Francisco and says the one in mission was not very good. My mom & I went to boba guys with my sisters review in mind and OH MY GOSH it's the best boba. I love the horchata or the tai tea. My mom usually gets the dirty horchata (the horchata with coffee) we both get boba in it. The boba is so delish. The drinks are very good too. I first tried their house milk tea and it was very good but I like to try the unique things on their menu. The strawberry drink is okay but it tastes the a Starbucks strawberry refresher and is super sweet just not for me. I want to try everything on the menu eventually. I gave this place a try because I heard it recently opened in Los Altos, but it's really not my cup of tea. It's too westernized and I prefer an authentic Taiwanese boba tea experience. For example I asked for no ice and the cashier even nodded her head but they still gave me a bunch of ice. I closely observed the workers in the kitchen and they don't even have a strainer to eliminate the ice which is unheard of in a Taiwanese boba shop. Upon finding out my mistake on arrival, the staff and store manager were kind enough to offer to re-make my drinks at their location without hesitation. In addition, since we were waiting for our drinks, the store manager offered my girls some free cookies! My girls have been wanting to try them out - the Ube snickerdoodle & Peppermint white rabbit cookie. They were delicious! Right before I left the store, he also treated me to a Milk Tea Blondie! They suddenly stop offering hot tea options for all their teas. I also noticed that when I tried to order online via DoorDash or any other food delivery app, sometimes they have hot options and sometimes they don't. So I love Boba, and the drinks here are okay. The reason for 2 stars is the location's availability, attitude and customer service. The staff is probably still learning but one of the drinks we ordered was made wrong. The hours FINALLY changed to be open most days, so I guess that is good. Went for boba tea and ended up leaving with additional Ube snickerdoodle and furikake Chex mix. They were delicious. The cookie had a nice consistency and taste. The furikake Chex mix was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Great addition to my drink. The ability to adjust sweetness of my black tea boba was great since I don't like it overly sweet.
