I ordered from the kiosk and a lot of items were sold out already, taro, all the Cold brew drinks and more. Luckily my drink was available. I love getting the Love Bug and I'm glad they had the option to opt out of the freeze dried fruit the company decided to add. My boba was great and the pearls were cooked perfectly. Boba tea company is on the expensive side, so we don't get it often, but when we do, we always enjoy it. We get the bigger size and share it which comes out to around $9. We have only tried the fruity carbonated ones, but they are sweet and refreshing! Bella with the strawberry gobi and lychee nunu is our favorite. Sometimes I feel like they don't fill the cup up all the way, which is frustrating. The storefront can get pretty busy but ordering on the tablet makes things go smoother in my opinion. read more

There are so many offerings, one can stand in front of the menu on the board and get so lost as to which one to order or just have to make up your mind as there are people waiting behind you! I was shopping at the Scottsdale fashion square and wanted to try some boba. The place was packed with young crowd. They have kiosks to order but it wasn't working. The menu is a little overwhelming and confusing. I went with their fresh tea strawberry boba. They have a smoothie or iced option and went with their iced option. I have never tried a black tea flavored boba. It was bitter and didn't taste anything like a milk tea boba. It's more for weight watchers and a refresher. I wasn't impressed. I had stopped by there's a Boba Tea Company location located on the first floor of the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. At first I was kind of skeptical to see what kind of boba that they had here. I'm from LA where there's lots of boba spots so my internal bar was set kind of high I ordered the tropical drink and it was pretty good. I can't complain and it was refreshing since it was so hot out but as I was pretty good. Now I'm curious and intrigued on how some of the other drinks are but overall it was good. The team members were really cordial and hospitable. I ordered at the counter and they were able to answer some of the questions I had in regards of what some of the toppings were. Was very surprised to find good Boba at the mall. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but the staff was very helpful in helping me pick out the right flavor. I don't usually stray from my matcha green blended selection when I go out for boba. I had one great experience years ago and have been forever chasing that same boba high. They didn't have that on the menu (I'm guessing it was too boba basic for them). With great hesitation tried a variation of my usual with their Kimono boba. I was pleasantly surprised. Very difficult to understand the menu. When you ask the young servers they don't even point to the menu board but to another menu by the till. It was all double Dutch to us. I ordered a Bella and loved it. One of the other drinks went straight to the trash as it wasn't liked. We were asked whether we wanted something like a gummy at bottom of our drink. We didn't know. Was horrible. We went to order again. Got what we liked second time round, however, considering it was the same kid serving us.... he should have made it for free. It was one of those "hey let's just get boba from there since we were here" moments for us when we were here. This was located on the ground floor and there were a lot of people waiting. It was also a hot day so it made sense why so many were there. The drink names were interesting but at least they provided a description of what the drink actually was. We ordered a Jazzie with boba ($5.95)and waiting a while before our drink was made. There were people walking through so I couldn't get to the counter to claim the drink before the guy was getting annoyed. He gave me a look like he was annoyed that he had to say the order a couple of times. It wasn't good to see but whatever. The Jazzie with boba did not taste good but at least the boba was chewy. Horrible customer service. Did not get to try the product. The line was super long at the end of the day, I waited in line for over 20 minutes and everybody had to order on the small tablet so it was taking a REALLY long time to place each order. One minute before close, I finally got up next . It was taking forever for people to place their orders and then at my turn, they cut off their orders right away. I asked if I could please place my order since it was a single order and they said "we aren't allowed to". That's terrible customer service. It was 5:59, and it wouldn't have hurt anyone. You are losing money in the long run. Especially with the bad attitudes you all had. I saw you all making faces about the long line. This was hands down the most disappointing experience I've ever had at any beverage shop in my entire life. I went up to the cashier to order a Thai milk tea and when I asked him if they could make it with half of the sugar, he seemed confused and asked if I wanted it with half &half creamer. I corrected him and asked if I could have it with half of the sugar again, to which he raised his eyebrows and went "ohh yeah I can do that." I thought he understood what I said that time, so I paid and waited a whopping 15+ minutes for my drink to come out. They didn't put any sugar in my drink, which was not at all what I asked for. The cup was filled almost to the brim with ice. It was honestly hilarious; their was more ice than the actual drink in this cup. Anybody that's had Thai tea before from anywhere but The Boba Tea Company knows what it tastes like, and I honestly couldn't tell if what I was drinking was just orange-dyed milk; that's how faint the taste of the Thai tea was. Plus, the boba wasn't sweet at all. Boba is supposed to be sweet, and this boba had no flavor whatsoever. And the cherry on top of this mountain of disappointment: it costed more than seven dollars! Yep, more than seven dollars for this one sad excuse of a Thai milk tea. My friend got the same thing as me, and we were both laughing in the car about how hilariously bad this whole experience was. We ordered three drinks and though they weren't bad, they also weren't great. All the drinks were watery and bland; the boba itself was hard and seemed older. They also messed up on two orders. For one, they incorrectly put a drink in the wrong size then went on to just transfer the liquid into the right size plus more ice and boba. On a quick trip through Scottsdale I made it a special point to get the Eskimo boba! I'm sure it was 2000 calories, made dairy free with almond and coconut milk into a frothy milk shake, but compared to the hard gummy boba I can find in the Philly suburbs this hit something I was craving since the last time I was here in October. I got the My Thai and my fiancé got a Blazing Panda. My Thai was categorized as "creamy on ice" and it didn't have a creamy taste at all. In fact, it was pretty bland and tasted unsweetened. The boba was chewy and soft, but absolutely flavorless. We paid $13 for two large drinks and it wasn't worth it.
