Decided to get a quick boba drink for my drive and this place was closest. The place is small but clean. We were greeted when we came in which was nice. The prices are really good as well. I got a lemon slush with boba. The lemon flavor was great since I like tangy but more than half the boba was really hard and unpleasant to eat. I could finish it due to that. read more

I went to Bobalicious for the first time this weekend after a few of my friends recommended it and I can honestly say that it's amongst the best boba places I've been to for the price. The cashier was super friendly and the service was pretty fast. The boba was good, but obviously not as good as higher end places. For the price, though, it was a very good bang for the buck. I didn't have anything to do, so I decided to drive down to San Diego. Luckily, my friend Duy wasn't busy so he met up with me & we went to get boba. He took me to Bobalicious because Tapioca was too crowded? Oh no, wait I remember why we didn't go to Tap Ex.. it was because he didn't want to bump into his ex-girlfriend's best friend. -_- lame! Anyway, right off the bat, this place already didn't make a good impression on me. Cash only?! Are you serious?! Well what happen to all the people like myself who rarely ever carries cash with them? UGH. So my friend ended up paying for my drink. I ordered Milk tea with mango stars. Oh wait, no I didn't.. why? Because they didn't have mango stars. So to substitute that, I got coconut jelly. When our drinks finally came out, I went to get a straw.. and get this.. they didn't have one of those big colorful straws. WTF?! How the hell am I supposed to drink this then?! The coconut jelly was big and the straw was hella small.. so I had a VERY hard time sucking on my drink. Yes, it was very hard to suck on! Anyway, we also ordered crispy chicken. This place is ok, the bobas are a little too chewy (like they weren't cooked long enough) and the flavors aren't as yummy as other places. Weird thing is that they take your order up front but go to the back (you can't see it) and make up your drinks there. Not the best tasting boba I've had in my travels. read more

This place is not the same any more. I was a repeat customer. But the last 3 times wasn't what it use to be, one time the thai tea was luke warm. The next time, the boba was hard in the center. the consistency of the boba is perfect. the milk tea is the right amount of sweet. i tried the popcorn chicken, which is spicy, crispy and moist on the inside. the employees are very friendly. the shop is very clean and has 4 couches for you to hang out on. theres free wifi. there are all kinds of board games, and a really large flat screen tv that plays football. i'd definately come back. too bad it's in mira mesa. i don't really hang out in this area much, but my twin brother works here, so i'd make the drive. read more

i go to bobalicious all the time, they have pretty decent teas and their boba is delicious. one of the main reasons i keep returning to bobalicious is because they have the best popcorn chicken i think i've ever had. i dont even know how they make it so delicious it's just so good. however, the past 2 times i've visited bobalicious, they haven't been selling their popcorn chicken which is a bit upsetting since bobalicious is a bit of a trek from my house. I wish that they were more clear about when their kitchen was open/closed so that i would know when to come. read more

The only positive about this place is the boba being cheap. The service is horrible. Whenever I order a green tea with boba , they give me issues. They'll say they only make the milk tea version even though it's clearly #2 on the menu. The last two times the person in the back had to come out and tell the cashier they make the drink without milk. Also I usually ask for it to be 75% sweetened. Apparently they do not understand what that means. I would say half the time they make the drink 25% sweetened instead. They need new cashiers that understand the menu and don't argue with their customers. read more

After two years, I finally got to try this place again. I remember this place used to look so much better. Now, it's dark and unorganized. It didn't feel like the AC was on because it was very muggy inside. The girl who took my order was pretty nice and my taro boba was very good, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I took some stars off because the service was very slow. It took 10mins to get my popcorn chicken and they couldn't even give me ranch (which was already packed, just had to reach for it and hand it to me) until they saw that I was getting impatient. When I am in need of a boba fix, this is a great place for me to satisfy that craving. It's location is convenient and I've always liked their atmosphere and service. The inside received a remodel recently and it's really nice. There's plenty of seating for waiting and/or enjoying your drink. Service is always friendly and as fast as they can be even when there's a line of people (usually when the nearby high school has dismissed and tons of students filter in). Still, they try hard to keep up with all of the orders as quickly as possible. I really like the variety on their menu although I usually stick with my coconut milk tea w/ lychee jellies. But, on adventurous occasions I've tried the Chamango as well as the avocado smoothie! I really liked both of them but feel they are heavier drinks for when I really want to treat myself. Another perk of this place is their modest menu of appetizers. We discovered that you can order one of each item and your bill is still pretty darn low. A great place to grab a drink and fun food when you're not in the mood to pay big bucks at a full service restaurant. They also have a rewards program now so don't forget to sign up! read more
