Found this place on yelp - Honestly really wanted this place to be good.,. But the drinks that my entire party of 5 received were almost undrinkable. This is not out of pure hate or anything of the sort, but with integrity. There was wayy too much milk in all 3 of our Green Thai Teas, such that they tasted like sweet milk. The Viet coffee with less sweet was also wayyyy too sweet. Taro milk tea had quite the thick and powdery consistency, almost like corn starch water. Usually, this is somewhat acceptable when there is a line out the door due to the employees having to rush their drinks, but there was only one other customer who was waiting for the drink when we ordered. After I saw the three girls were just chatting in the back, I checked in on my order and they said they never brought the order to window so they never worked on it. I love going to this place! We came all the way from San Marcos but everytime we come by MM I make sure I stop by here. We came by this Saturday and I ordered for a blended lychee jelly with lychee jelly as well. We waited as it was a little bit busy from this heat, everyone wants to get a drink. Ordered Taro Slushie ($4) with boba ($0.50) 25% sweet. Came out very quick. I could already tell by the smell of the slushie, that it was a real Taro. Lol. The sweetness was perfect. I like this little trendy Boba shop. They play hip modern music, most of the crowd is mostly youngsters, and they make some great drinks. I wanted a Royal Milk Tea made form Earl Grey Tea, but they do not make it, so I settled for their iced coffee, which I liked very much. The coffee was great where the stronger coffee settled at the bottom and the top had a light dairy cream. It was served with ice of course and sealed with a plastic lid. After I shook it up a bit, the coffee had a good balance between robust coffee to mild sweet cream which made the coffee enjoyable to drink. It probably carried a little more ice than it needed, so I need to remember to ask them to take it easy on the ice. The young lady who took my order was simply adorable and knew the menu very well. I had the opportunity to speak with the girl who made my iced coffee and she was very nice and informative. They offer free WiFi but you have to ask for the password and be a paying customer. Our go to for drinks when we are in the mood for Thai tea. The menu is varied and they have a bit of everything you would expect from teas to Vietnamese coffee. They also make slushies and have a unique split cup which allows to get two different types of drink within a cup split in half which is a cool offering. I recommend the Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee split cup which gives you the best of both worlds. They are adhering to all covid requirements and supply sanitizer, require a mask, and even put up dividers between the register and customers. Perfect name for this place! Boba + delicious = Bobalicious My group came here the other night after having some carne asada fries and rolled tacos. The young lady here was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu. I saw a sign that said they serve chamango. It sounded good! According to the server it is made with real mango blended with ice, diced mango pieces, chamoy, and comes with a tamarind straw. They add sugar because sometimes the mangoes they have may not be sweet enough... but in cases where the mangoes are ripe and sweet, when they add sugar, it may end up being super sweet. My wifey ordered with 1/4 sugar and I left mine regular sugar. Others in my group ordered: 1 mango slush with boba, and 1 milk tea slush. My God daughter shared my drink with me. The drink was good. If you've never had chamango, it's a blended mango drink that is a mixture of sweet and spicy. The flavors work if you like sweet and spicy. I probably could have went 1/2 or 3/4 sugar and it would have been fine. My wife liked her drink. I thought it was alright, but prefer a little more sweetness. The others in the group liked their drinks. Service was great. Our drinks came out quickly. Prices were pretty good too. Place has a lot of seating. There is plenty of parking in this shopping center. Place is not close to where I live, but I wouldn't mind driving out here if I plan on eating in Mira Mesa area. We are fans of this place. This is a cute little boba shop that isn't afraid of a power outage. I had recently been introduced to the glory that is the chamango and was craving one. If you're unfamiliar with a chamango from what I've found it's mango slush and spicy chamoy sauce with sliced mangoes on top (along with maybe some chili powder). I normally hate spicy food but the combination of the cold and heat is awesome. Since I don't live here I had no idea where to find one, but it was Yelp to the rescue once again. Bobalicious was close by and had good ratings so we gave it a shot. It's located in a Target shopping center so parking was not an issue. Unfortunately when we were walking to it we noticed that some of the other shops near it were locking their doors because there was a massive power outage. I thought that there was no way that they would be able to make a chamango in a power outage but I tried anyway. It wasn't an issue and my frozen treat was soon brought out to me. For less than $3, you get decent milk teas/brewed teas and various topping options. I always get the baby boba because this place is one of few that have baby boba. I always get either their regular milk tea: which is pretty good for the pricing, in my opinion. It doesn't taste like heavy creamer like some jenky boba places and has a good amount of sweetness that satisfies my sweet tooth. If you want something less sweet, their Chrysanthemum tea is delicious and has honey in it so its more of an earthy sweetness. Their menu options are kind of limited and some of them you can definitely tell is made with artificial tasting powder. If youre not into this, definitely stray away from the fruit milk teas.
