Delicious for breakfast and brunch! Not sure about lunch or dinner but their breakfast is #1! You get a plentiful amount of food for a very reasonable price and the portions are generous!! I got the chorizo ranchero omelette and it comes with an option of two different sides with it! You won't leave this place wanting more and you'll probably feel full all day like I did! Wow, what a great local breakfast spot! The breakfast plates are large and cheap. I ordered the Denver omelette for $6.75 which included a huge 3-egg omelette, 2 pancakes, and delicious thin-sliced potatoes. Service was quick and friendly. Best food find on our weekend trip to the Turlock swap meet, stopped here in Ceres on our way home to grab breakfast and it was exactly what we were looking for. Quaint mom and pop place, very clean, very nice and prompt service, and the food was delicious. Family friendly and our two kids loved the food just as much as we did. Horrible service if you don't personally know the waitress they don't care. I got a waffle with strawberry and whip cream, it said strawberry compote. What I got was a rubbery cold waffle with thawed out frozen strawberries on top a huge slab of butter and whip cream on top. It was horrible the waitress did not come back. She stayed up front. The other waitress asked if everything was ok and she took the waffle back and got me another one that wasn't soggy without the nasty strawberries. I'm a sucker for a good breakfast place, considering it's my favorite meal of the day, so I was excited to try Bob's after I have been hearing about it for years from friends. However, I was not impressed with my overall experience. Usually little hole-in-the-wall places are the gems in any place but I would say that the food was sub-par. I ordered the chicken fried steak with country potatoes and eggs. The chicken fried steak was actually pretty good, very flavorful, but I felt the country potatoes had been cooked hours before and left to sit out just waiting for someone to order them. My sister ordered sausage, bacon, hashbrowns and a waffle. She said all were standard and the bacon was probably her favorite part. Service was also okay and was actually really attentive until the end. We were approached as soon as we sat down and our food was out within 15 minutes of ordering. It did take the waitress about 10 minutes to bring us our check, when there were only 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant. Maybe my expectations were a little high beforehand but I wouldn't rave about it as others do. Overall, it was sub-par food and okay service. read more

Tried the place here on Whitmore, not impressed at all. Sad to say, I have been going to Bob's ever since they opened when I was in high school way back in the early 90's. We would go there for lunch and get a great meal for a great price. I moved away and went to the one in Hughson and it was fantastic. Now I don't think Bob oversees anything anymore because they are both not very good food quality wise and staff wise. Hope you fix this Bob. read more

My fiancée got the steak (med) and eggs and I got the breakfast chicken fried steak. Steak and Eggs: good portion size. Steak was aite, nothing special, 1st bite was great. I know we didn't pay for an amazing cut but it could have been more tender. Not bad for $6 (?) Is what I'm saying haha. Chicken fried steak: good size considering it was $7 for my meal. It came with eggs, hasbrowns, biscuits and gravy. Steak was great, good flavor, great texture. Eggs: nothing special but great with ketchup haha.
