When I moved to Kentucky I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a mechanic that would take care of me the way my mechanics at Auto Express did in Ohio. So I would drive all the back to Ohio for all of my car repair needs. Then one day my car broke down and I needed a tow and I called Bob's Service Center since they were close, that was 4 years ago and I've been relying on them every since. My car wouldn't start one morning. Assuming it was bad battery, after a jump start I took it to Autozone and had them diagnose the problem. The battery was fine, it was the alternator that needed to be replaced. The part estimate for an alternator for a 2001 Nissan Maxima was $149.00. The part came with a life time warranty. I took the car to Bob's Service Center along with the printout of the diagnosis. When I picked up m car, Bob charged me 90.00 for a "diagnostic" fee, even thought I told him what was wrong with it, what I wanted fixed and gave him the printout that Auto Zone gave me. RIP OFF BOB. Then BOB charged me $250.00 for the alternator. When I asked what brand it was, it was the Duralast brand that Auto Zone sells. He marked it up $100 bucks and he gets a commercial discount from Auto Zone on top of that. Since I didn't purchase the alternator from Auto Zone, I don't have a lifetime warranty on anything. Bob does. So, if it goes bad, then you have to have it repaired at Bob's. Finally, Bob put the old belt back on even thought it should have been replaced. I would not let Bob work on a bicycle yet alone a car. Bob is not ethical and honest. Bob takes advantage of people from out of town. read more
