I took my wife today 1/26 for lunch. It is adjacent to a Jersey's Mikes and Sushiama, which I've been to a number of times but never saw this one right there. I'm sorry it took so long. They open at noon on the weekends and, when we arrived at 12:30, we were the only ones there. A very sweet hostess/server greeted us and brought our drinks quickly. We ordered the blackened shrimp Caeser salad and the fish and chips. We were served warm rolls with butter and a nice plate of basil, shaved parmesan and balsamic vinegar for dipping. 10 minutes later our food was served. The chips on my plate weren't chips that you would normally expect. I think, almost steak fries but these were shoestring. Fortunately, they still were soft and has a nice flavor, so I was relieved. The fish was coated in a very light batter and fried to perfection. It was not in the least bit greasy and my first bite was delicious. It is served with a home-made dipping sauce that made it even better. My wife just wanted a taste and ended up eating half :( The Caeser salad would have just been average, nothing special on the dressing but it came with about 16 medium shrimp that were perfectly blackened but still moist. I was truly amazed. We skipped dessert but next time we'll try the crabcake, lobster bisque and the fish and chips again. Overall, this was a fantastic meal and exceeded my expectations. This is probably the very best fish restaurant in this area - I had the lobster bisque - perfect texture not too creamy just right and came with hot just baked bread roll - then Mahi encrusted with lump crabmeat- came hot and perfectly flaky with a taste that i will long remember that is until next time! Wine is reasonably priced and a good selection. Restaurant is small with about 8 tables plus a bar sitting area and some tables outside (under cover) This is a restaurant where you can relax (pleasant music) and where you can converse without having to yell! oh yes - great service pleasant and attentive! Overpriced for a one-trick pony chef who clearly has no idea how to place a food order. My steak was over cooked, I ordered medium-rare and got medium well. I didn't make a big fuss, I just asked for a new one. He sent the steak right back to me and said it was fine. My husband brought the plate to him and very clearly told him that it was obviously over cooked and we just wanted a new one. The chef/owner said I couldn't get another one because he was out of steaks...at 7pm on a Saturday night. OMG! What a fabulous meal we had at Boca Fish House! They start you with delicious, crusty, fresh French rolls and a plate with grated cheese, pesto, and balsamic vinegar. We shared a Caesar salad. Our scallop dinner was amazing! I cut each scallop into very small bites to prolong the enjoyment. My husband had chocolate cake for dessert. I had one incredible bite. The food at this restaurant is well prepared and presented BUT when the entrees got to our table they were almost at room temperature! The servers need a great deal of training or more staff is needed! Our server was very nice but either forgetful or way too busy! We requested more delicious rolls soon after the basket was delivered-way before our appetizers or entrees were received. The rolls were finally brought to us after we had completed the entire meal! Don't sit outside! Our group felt that we were completely forgotten! Would have rated it 4+ if the meal was delivered in a more appetizing manner! Tucked away in a corner in a mall complex, this restaurant seems like your ordinary, lovely eating establishment. It is anything but. The food here is hands down some of the best food I've had in all of Florida. It was fresh, beautifully presented, and to top it all off, it's family owned. We went here last night & this was our second time dining here. Our server last night was Amy & she was great!! First of all, the bread rolls are probably the best rolls we've ever had in our entire lives. They're extremely fresh. The butter just melts immediately as soon as you put it on the rolls. And the pesto/parm mix they give is also delicious. We had the crab cake appetizer & it's to die for. I had the scallops for dinner & my friend had the sweet potato crusted grouper. The first time we went here, I had the herb crusted swordfish & my friend had the blackened mixed grill. Everything we've eaten here has been amazing. Next time, I want to try the Chilean sea bass. Amy was a great server. She even got us the truffle steak fries on the house so thank you for that!! I would like to point out that I read some of the 1 star reviews on here & they all sound like entitled people who don't understand how restaurant reservations work. There's a bad review here about a two top that wanted a four top table & left a bad review because they were having a "bad day" and weren't given the four top table. I'm sorry but that's not how it works. To leave a restaurant a bad review because you didn't get what you want is absurd. The two times we've been here, we got a two top table because there's only two of us. We never complain because there's nothing to complain about. Anyway, we will be back!! read more

This place is an unbelievable hidden gem. I got the sea bass with gnochhi in the most delicious sauce with mushrooms, spinach and tomato. All fish menu, owner/chef working the tiny kitchen on a Sunday, scallops and sesame crusted tuna perfectly cooked and great presentation. Veggie sides composed and sauced differently on each plate. Twenty-five seats inside plus counter and ten outside. Home baked warm rolls (courtesy of chef's wife) on the table served with a plate of concentric rings of pesto, balsamic glaze, olive oil and a heap of fresh parmesan. The service was friendly, but very poor in timing and attention. There is only one server trying to take care of the indoor and outdoor tables. Several things we asked for either never came or took two requests. Upon arrival, it took a while to get a menu, be offered a drink, etc. was offered outdoor seating upon making the reservation. Did not realize it was shared with a jersey Mike and a Japanese restauranT. I asked and was told yes there were heat lamps. on the day of the reservation, I called back again to see if there was something inside, but that wasn't the case. However, the person on the other end of the line offered the information that there were heat lamps. When we asked for heat lamps to be turned on, we were told that they had to ask the chef because they only turned them on on cool nights. Of course, I reported that two people had assured me there were heat lamps. finally one was turned on. It was overall excellent and food, but the ambience and service fell flat. read more

Had dinner there with friends last night and can not speak highly enough about this restaurant. Although the restaurant is small, indoor seating is about 20 people, the service and the food are both HUGE! There were 4 of us and each had a different main course, and All 4 dishes were OUTSTANDING. We shared an appetizer of octopus which was also outstanding. Each dish is cooked to order so there is a slightly longer wait, not a problem, but it's well worth the slight wait. Service was attentive without being overbearing.
