I truly enjoy this spot. Its cozy and has a nice overall atmosphere. It gets crowded quickly on the weekends so prepare for a long wait but enjoy a drink at the bar in the meantime! Good food, good drinks, and reasonably priced. Their staff is always attentive and friendly. I've had only one issue here, about a year or two ago. I purchased $100 gift certificate with cash for my husband for Father's Day. When he went to redeem it for lunch a few weeks later, he was told there was no money on it. I had a receipt but no activation slip. I spoke with the manager over the phone who informed me that the gift certificate was rung out, but later voided. She spoke to me in a very accusatory tone and wasn't helpful at all. After going back and forth, the manager agreed to honor the gift certificate. Come to find out, a staff member got fired for stealing shortly after this. My guess is the woman rang it out, gave me the receipt, voided the transaction/gift card after I left, and pocketed my $100. So I learned my lesson to simply not pay with cash at this place. First time coming here with my boyfriend. My boyfriend got a beer and I got a apple martini. Mine was a bit late coming out because our waitress was a bit distracted due to that fact that she was going on vacation after her shift. My martini did not suffer though. It was good. We got clam chowder to start. I ordered the vodka pasta and my boyfriend got the chicken parmesan which came with pasta. I enjoyed my vodka pasta. I wish the sauce would of been a bit thicker because it did not stick to my pasta as good but other than that it had good flavor. The noodles were fine. My boyfriend ate all his chicken so thats a good sign. I would come back here. It reminds me of a Olive Garden which to some people may be bad but I am up for OG every once in a while. Our first time here in some 30+ years... Came to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. We were not disappointed. I decor has changed.... Modern, inviting exterior with outside dining. Warm comfortable interior. We were greeted immediately and was seated in a booth near the entrance. We found it a bit cool for us, AC vent right above us. We requested to move one booth over... no problem. Much better. Our waitress Cheryl, very helpful assisting us with the menu and gave us a little time to make a decision. We went with the Monday dinner for 2. Opted for the veal Parmesan with the red sauce over angel hair pasta... My wife had it without the cheese. Started with a basket of mini baked bread with a nicely seasoned warm dipping oil. Next came an ice cold fresh salad and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. We both agreed the veal cutlet is the best we've had, tender and cooked to perfection. A beautifully seasoned red sauce over a bed of Al dente angel hair. We skipped dessert as we had some waiting at home. If you haven't been to the Pasta House... don't wait as long as we did. We'll be back soon! read more

I'm a California girl now, but I grew up in a small coastal town in this area; as a result, it's only natural that when I think of home I think of fresh, flavorful seafood. I'm pleased to say that in this department The Pasta House definitely did not disappoint! I ordered linguine with clams, scallops, mussels, shrimp and fish in a garlic and oil sauce. The seafood was fresh and plentiful! However, I have to say that when I ate a portion of it at the restaurant I was torn. The seafood on its own was delicious, but the dish overall was lacking. So, when I ate my leftovers this afternoon I added a little garlic, lemon, and salt and WHOA! Just adding those three ingredients turned a good dish into a spectacular dish. The decor is warm and inviting with exposed wood beams, brick walls, comfortable booths, and a cozy bar area. It's set up in such a way that it's able to accommodate large parties, which was perfect for my group when we dined here last night. There were 15 of us in our party (including a 2 yr old), and the waitress handled us like a well oiled machine. Which, I must say, is no easy feat seeing as how my family is a bit on the loud and crazy side. Originally, I was going to give this place 4 stars, but I'm taking a star off for the lack of flavor in my pasta and the nasty gunk in my shrimp that weren't deveined. The food was HOT! Overall a nice meal, but this place might be talked up too much. Started the meal off with hot, fresh buns dipped in butter. Heat escaped as I tore the bun apart. A very cozy start. For my soup I tried their clam chowder, because when in New England you just have to get clam chowdah! This soup was served up nice and hot in a little bowl. Very creamy, already I was beginning to worry about finishing meal. For the big dish I knew I had to go for something seafood because I'm near the shore, and something pasta because I'm at the Pasta House, I went for Seafood Alla Vodka. If the clam chowder wasn't hot, creamy, and thick enough this certainly was. A few bites in I was stuffed, but those few bites of crab meat, scallops, and cheese tortellini were quite tasty. A very filling, very hot, and very creamy meal, but pretty plain in terms of flavor. Nice and hot, but average. While visiting my parents on the Cape, The Pasta House was one of the restaurants we dined at during my stay. For a Saturday evening the wait was a very reasonable 30 minutes (they don't take reservations for parties under 6.) We were seated and greeted by an engaging and personable waitress who made excellent recommendations. My starter were the Calabrese Cheese sticks (I believe - not sure if the menu online is up to date) that had mozzerella, tomato, artichoke and a delicious balsamic drizzle. The bread was also quite delicious. After my house salad with dressing, I had ...hmm apparently something that is not on the online menu and the name escapes me. A pasta dish with chicken, a plethora of delicious vegetables including lots of mushrooms (love) in a light cream sauce atop fettuccine. It was AMAZING and the portion so vast I had to bring the other half home. For dessert I tried the tiramisu which was delightful, I also sampled a bit of my mothers fried ice cream. I've had fried ice cream before and thought it was so-so but The Pasta House actually does a really great version. I highly recommend it. read more

We've been here three times. The first two times were good and I can see why it's a popular place. Unfortunately, the waitress (Jessica H) who waited on our party of 6 last week had an attitude. Before we ordered any food, we kindly requested 4 separate checks. She said, "we don't normally do that. We're too busy. But I'll see what I can do." When we were finished with our dinner and dessert, and before the snooty waitress brought us our checks, she said, "I only have a few minutes, but lemme make sure I have all the orders right." Clearly she was annoyed that we asked her for separate checks, even though we did it before ordering. BTW, the waitresses we had the first two times we went there, who were just as busy as this last waitress was, were very good and very accommodating. They gave us 4 separate checks, as we had requested, without any problem. Any waitress who can't handle being busy *and* being pleasant either needs more training or needs to change jobs. I don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm a bother. I've found that the food at this restaurant is good, but during my third (and final?) visit there, there was very little sauce on my pasta. I shouldn't have had to ask for more sauce, and a spoon so that I could eat my dessert. read more

Last night my fiancé and I decided to try out this local eatery for dinner. Upon entering we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess who informed us of the "Tuesday Special" they were offering...two meals for under $50.00! Once seated we decided to give this " Tuesday Special " a try and were so delighted we did! The food arrived almost immediately and was prepared to perfection! My fiancé enjoyed the shrimp scampi while I had the halibut. Our meal was complimented by an excellent bottle of chilled URBAN Reisling wine! I must take a moment to mention the exemplary service we received from our waiter Dana! He was so pleasant, helpful and attentive! It was clearly evident that he enjoyed his work and wanted to be sure that all of the people he served totally enjoyed their dining experience! It's ALWAYS packed and people are typically lined outside the door before they open. I would suggest going for lunch to avoid the crowds. Did I mention they are open on Monday's!?! Jackpot! Great spot! I was meeting customers from a local business and they suggested The Pasta House. I got there a few minutes early (around 11:40am) and the place was dead, which made me a bit nervous. The hostess couldn't have been more friendly and stayed at the table for a minute after seating me to tell me her favorite dishes....I asked. She told me that the chicken Marsala was her favorite, which worked out well because that's what I was thinking of ordering. Shortly after being seated the waiter came over with water and fresh bread. I wouldn't say it was focaccia or French bread but somewhere in between. They also have an incredible dipping oil with garlic and a few herbs and spices. The orders came out quickly and the Marsala was really good. Don't get me wrong, I have had better, but not for under $10. This place definitely gives you a great bang for the buck. I probably could've used a bit more Marsala sauce for the noodles, but overall it was a great dish. The customers were also very happy with their meals. I had a cocktail, which was Great, and the the service was excellent. I left, because it was so busy. I returned on a Monday night and had the Linguine Alla Vongole. It was good to the last bite.
