My boyfriend and I explored the area and started here! The reviews were good so how could it go wrong. The breakfast sandwich was rich but yummy! I paired it with their Korean green tea latte and not bad. My boyfriend liked the breakfast sandwich as well. It was a hot day so we sat inside but there is outdoor seating too. The service was good. Price was affordable.
tl;dr the chopped cheese is simple yet sophisticated; pair it with an eclectic coffee or tea for a surprisingly bougie take on bodega fare Although the chopped cheese is a bodega staple, these sandwiches fly under the radar even to native New Yorkers. For the uninitiated, the classic chopped cheese combines chopped ground beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments atop a hero roll; the result falls somewhere between a cheeseburger and a cheesesteak. Admittedly, I was never too impressed by the frill-free chopped cheeses in the Bronx -- the flavor reminded me most of a fast-food ground beef taco. Nonetheless, Angelinos flock to Chef Eric Park's Korean-ish coffee bar and sandwich shop Bodega Park for their tribute to the chopped cheese. Bodega Park's minimalist exterior and diminutive logo aren't as eye-catching as the neighboring wine shop and tattoo parlor. Outside, shamrock-green metal patio furniture is arranged underneath a row of white umbrellas. The interior is decidedly modern and minimalist. The cracked concrete floors are polished, and sunlight flows in through the windows. The whitewashed walls are decorated just with light wood slats and a Dodgers-esque Bodega Park sweater. Comfy upholstered chairs are pressed up to the sleek tables, and contemporary rap echoes around the room. I've been multiple times for weekday lunch, and the queue has varied from nonexistent to trailing out the door. Most recently, I opted for the signature Bodega Chopped Cheese, as well as a Misugaru Black Sesame. My sandwich was deceptively delicious. My favorite component was the panini-pressed sesame hero roll, which put standard hoagie rolls to shame. The sesame-forward flavor was addictive, and the crispy texture held up surprisingly well to the toppings. Meanwhile, my rich, nutty misugaru was topped with an addictive sesame crema. The espresso version reminded me of a premium Frappuccino, while the espresso-free version channeled cookies & cream shake vibes. The service was efficient, and my bill ran $25. The least palatable part of the meal was the price. But Park's premium take on bodega fare intentionally caters to the Silverlake crowd, and he delivered the first chopped cheese that has left me game for seconds.
Best thing: Bacon. Delicious BEC (bacon-egg-cheese). The roll is so good and the crispy bacon was fantastic. Pro tip - ask for the hot sauce, it's got a good smokey taste and adds to the sandwich. Minimalist, calm interior with very nice service. I will definitely go back. I really want to try the Italian sando and coffee/matcha drinks. Glad I finally checked this place out. Really like it.
Got the olive oil tuna. Great sandwich. Bread was fresh, everything tasted really good. Just wish the tuna to bread ratio was higher. Had the vanilla latte with their homemade vanilla, and that was pretty bomb too. Stellar service, I'll be back soon to try the egg sandwich.
This is the spot for a chopped cheese in Southern California. Bodega Park is a fast casual Korean-American spot that's bringing well-done breakfast to Silverlake. The chopped cheese is killer. It's high quality ground beef, ooey gooey melted cheese, and fresh veggies all on a perfect roll. This is your hangover cure. The breakfast burrito is awesome. It's extremely flavorful. The chicken is tender, the tortilla is warm and crispy on the outside, and the whole thing is dripping cheese. An underrated option for the breakfast burrito scene in LA. The coffee here is also good. I got the black sesame iced latte, and they put a lot of black sesame foam on, making it a decadent, rich, and nutty way to get your caffeine. I would highly recommend for a morning pick me up. I came here to grab a quick breakfast after walking the Silverlake Reservoir and it was the perfect way to refuel.
If you're craving a simple breakfast sandwich - I think this is your spot. I was absolutely craving a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich to get my day started. I checked Yelp for "breakfast sandwich" and after reading a bit on how this was once Black Hogg- I was convinced. There's plenty of metered street parking just in front on Sunset but if you're looking for free parking there's oodles just a few blocks away. As always, read the signs :) I walked in, ordered and waited a few minutes for my bag. While I waited there were at least 8 sandwiches that had gone out to the restaurant patrons seated both inside and outside. All sandwiches which looked large/long and lovingly wrapped. I made a mental note to come back for one! The sandwich was perfectly gooey and balanced. The bun was soft and simple but a touch too powdery for me. I finished the sandwich with flour everywhere- including on my poor black cat who had jumped in my lap lol. I'll be back, soon!

We got here around 1:00 pm, fortunately just before a large line formed. This place can get really busy! And I understand why - the food is so fantastic here. We ordered the Bodega Chopped Cheese, the Korean Hott Fried Chicken, and some Waffle Fries. While at the cashier we saw in the window display the Black Sesame Chocolate Chip Cookie and we had to try it. We were so hungry - we actually ended up having dessert first! The cookie had the perfect texture, a mix of crunchy and chewy, and the perfect taste - not too sweet and the savory black sesame paired so well with the chocolate chip. The Bodega Chopped Cheese was mouthwatering and the ground Angus beef was succulent and flavorful. The fresh shredded lettuce and tomato brought brightness to the sandwich and balanced the beef and melted American cheese so well. We also ended up trying the chicken wings, which were juicy and delectable! They came with a Yuzu Crema - a top tier sauce. The wings were honestly delicious on their own and didn't need the Yuzu Crema, but that sauce did make the wing even better somehow. It was pretty busy here on a Saturday afternoon so I would like to come back on a random weekday and try more sandwiches. Parking can definitely be a hassle in Silver Lake, but the food at bodega Park is totally worth that hassle!
I really wanted to like this spot but have given it numerous opportunities- every single time, my visit was a fail. The drinks leaves a lot to be desired for. The service is lukewarm at best with the people working there obviously not giving a care. There are 3 people working in a not yet busy morning. Also, make sure they do not give your order to someone else - happened to me last time and almost happened again today. Mind you, I have a unique name. The ambiance is average - typical coffee spot. The only redeeming factor is their chopped cheese. That is it. If you are craving coffee - there are so many better options with better customer service in the area. Go to Malaya or Gong Nam and to Ceci's for a hearty meal.
I wanted to like this place so badly, but I was left disappointed by the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted roll. There was an overwhelming amount of mayo and I would have preferred a bagel instead of the roll. Nonetheless, I'm still curious about the Korean fried chicken wings and breakfast burrito. If those items taste better than the bacon egg and cheese, then I'll definitely update the review at that time.
Never had a chopped cheese. It was amazing. Will be back to try their other breakfast items.
Some of my favorite sandwiches to get in LA is right here at Bodega Park! Hands down the bodega chopped cheese is my favorite good quality meats + fresh veggies topped with gooey cheese The Korean Hott Fried Chicken was a pass for me. 4 wings were around $13. It was not spicy at all and it was very tangy imo Waffle Fries crispy and good side for your sandwich! Meatball Sub Tried the limited edition meatball sandwich! Very juicy and flavorful. It was good to try a different sandwich but the bodega chopped cheese is superior heads up! this store is opened from 8 AM - 3 PM and closed on Mondays
This place was good! The turkey sandwich hit the sandwich cravings well I just wish the bread was less hard it was kinda hard to bite and eat but the inside was tasty. The black sesame coffee was good as well I just wish I got more black sesame flavor. Seating can be difficult if it's busy. Would come back!
This was my second time coming to Bodega Park and have thoroughly enjoyed both my experience and the food items purchased! The Puro Misugaru Black Sesame Latte is to die forrrrr! I will be thinking about it for the rest of the week. Have tried both the Avo Egg & Cheese as well as the Avocado Fontina and liked both. Neither had a super complex palate but were super filling and enjoyable.

I happened to be in the area for a pop-up, and I always wanted to try this place! Parking can be a bit tricky here, but we fortunately did not have to take too long to find street parking. We came about close to 11am on a Saturday afternoon, and it was already quite busy. There was a line to order and nearly all the tables were occupied. Modern & casual type of coffee sandwich shop! Kind of like how Open Market is, but there sandwiches here are wayyy better. We both wanted the Bodega Chopped Cheese since we were convinced that it looked the most delicious on the menu, but we also wanted to try more items on their menu so we could split and share. We then ended up getting the Aji Chicken Breakfast Burrito to try too. It didn't take too long for our order to be completed, so we were surprised how efficient the team was! Once we got our order we started off with the breakfast burrito first. It came with this small hot sauce, which paired really well with the burrito. The burrito itself was really good, which it was quite loaded with all the cheese, potatoes, chicken, etc. It really did not disappoint! Then we tried the Chopped Cheese, and I actually liked that one the most. It was my first time trying a 'Chopped Cheese', so it was very delightful! It honestly reminded me of an in n out LOL but the cheese was really good, the lettuce and tomatoes were really fresh, and the beef was super flavorful. I was actually most surprised with the bread they used, which it was very toasty and fragrant of the sesame seeds on top. Overall, the sandwiches here were realllyy good! I was debating whether to get coffee here or not too since I also wanted to try Camel in Silverlake. I felt like I should have tried the coffee here instead haha. I would say that the prices here are a bit high for the sandwiches; however, the fresh ingredients they used and how they assembled and made these feel like it was very well worth to spend. read more

Very solid breakfast joint. The food and coffees are on point. The chopped cheese is bomb. The sesame roll they use is crunchy on the outside. I really enjoyed that sandwich. The Misugaru black sesame latte is strong and flavorful. Service was fast. The food was fresh and piping hot. read more

Seriously SO good. The chicken wings are a definite must! It's slightly spicy, salty, sour and sweet. Not the mention the texture of it is amazingly crispy and juicy. These are the type of wings that will make you feel tempted to lick your fingers. The misugaru black sesame latte was also amazing. A must!!! I love the nuttiness combined with coffee flavor. The cream was not too heavy and not too sweet. We also got the Caesar salad sandwich and chopped cheese. The caeser salad sandwich was literally the salad in sandwich form but there were two types of cheese, croutons and all of the ingredients in it tasted high quality and super fresh. The chopped cheese was a little heavier but was also delicious. It's very similar to a burger. I couldn't finish all of it so I put it in an air fryer the next day .... tell me why it made it taste even better?! The bread was nice and flaky and crispy. Sooooo good. read more
I started coming here a few years back when my barbershop made Instagram posts about its opening and have been coming ever since. I've never really experienced this before, but they do both coffee AND food very well. There have been times I've stopped in just for coffee, just for lunch, or both, and I've never been disappointed. My go-to is their chopped cheese and a side of waffle fries. I'll admit, as a native west coaster, I've never had a chopped cheese prior to eating here, but it is one of the tastiest things I've ever had, and from what I've heard is the real deal. The staff are also always so nice and attentive, but I will say that the location is a bit small and seating is often a bit of a struggle. Do yourself a favor and drop in for food, coffee, or both, you won't be disappointed! read more
Bodega Park has good drinks AND good food which is so hard to find in a cafe. I personally like the food more than the drinks because they have such flavorful menu items. Today I got the spicy chicken cesar sandwich and it was wayyy better than the ggiatta chicken cesar wrap that was hyped on TikTok. The croutons added a nice crunch and there was so much chicken in the sandwich. If the spicy chicken Cesar sandwich is not your vibe I also really like the breakfast burrito! There is chicken in their burrito which is unique because breakfast burritos usually have bacon or carne asada, but I actually really like the chicken because it made it more hearty. Parking is only street parking so on Saturdays its a bit tough. read more
I came here on a Sunday around 10am and got there right before the crowd started. There were plenty of open seats available at the time. We had a party of 3 and had options to choose from both inside and outside. The service was friendly and welcoming, they offer one public restroom and only have street parking. Luckily, we found parking right across the street. It was my first time here, butI went with two friends that highly recommended this place. They both recommended the Bodega Chopped. So I ordered the Bodega Chopped, Korean Fried Chicken and the Misugaru Black Sesame. All were very delicious! The Bodega Chopped was a decent size so I only ate half and was able to enjoy the other half for dinner later that day. The Korean Fried had a homemade touch to it bc it wasn't heavily breaded like the usual Korean Fried Chicken I'm use to. I like the Misugaru bc it was tasty but wasn't too sweet, and you could still taste the espresso. I would love to come back and try other food and drinks on the menu! read more
Finding parking might be a bit of a challenge with only street options available, but don't let that deter you from checking this place out. This place had been on my list for a while from all the social media videos I've seen. From the surface, this looks like a typical cute and minimalistic coffee shop but was pleasantly surprised their menu offers some delicious options, particularly their Asian inspired dishes. It's a casual place to grab a bite where you order at the counter, grab a seat and wait to pick up your food. My main curiosity were their renowned wings which lived up to the hype. They were fried perfectly with a light and airy crisp and coasted with the an umami dry seasoning. Not sure what this seasoning is, but I want a bottle of this to put on everything! Each wing is a "full" wing that includes both the drumsticks and flats. You're able to order this in a small portion of (3 pcs) or large (6 pcs). I was also able to try their chopped cheese sandwich, a blend of melted cheese and beef that reminded me of a cross between a Philly cheesesteak and a burger. I loved that this was a pressed sandwich which provided the perfect crunch on the bread. I love anything black sesame so their black sesame drink hit the spot with a blend of cream and black sesame so it wasn't too overly sweet. read more

Um. This place is so good, I'm actually already planning on going back . We got the avo, egg, & cheese and the avocado breakfast sandwich and they were so good?? The crunch, the flavor, the runny egg.. everything was so yum. I can't wait to try more of the menu :) Service was prompt & quick. Super kind and attentive. It's def a smaller lunch/quick pick me up spot and can get a little crowded on the inside, but other than that, it's def a must try. read more

Idk what they do/put on their chicken, but it is LEGITIMATELY the best fried chicken I've ever had (maaaaybe a tie with Chimmelier). I genuinely think they could fry and season month-old rotten chicken and think it'd still be amazing. read more
When you need something hearty and it's before 11 a.m., Bodega Park is the place to visit. Stopped by following a morning work meeting and ordered the Chopped Cheese and Pork Bulgogi Roll. The chopped cheese was an obligatory order to see what the hype is all about. Can't say I was surprised but I was definitely happy for the chopped cheese order, meaty, cheesy, and reminiscent of a well prepared mouthwatering cheeseburger. Each bite was cheesier than the last and before I knew it, I was already taking the last bite. Worth the hype. The Pork Bulgogi Roll was in its own type of category. The pork was perfectly marinated and seasoned, savory with a hint of sweetness. The roll was fresh and definitely complimented the pork well. Staff was friendly and it took about 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready. Interior was clean with wooden furniture. Parking was a challenge as, from what I can gather, only street parking was available. read more
Ima sucker for a good sandwich and in my experience / opinion, this place delivered. The onlyyyyy reason I knocked a star off is because it is tooooooo pricey for a sandwich spot. 18$ for the chopped cheese is crazy. the flavors were there on a pressed hero roll, make sure you get the pickled veggies on the side (it helped balance out the saltiness in the meat for me). 16$ for Soppressata, insane. The meat was fresh, the combined ingredients meshed well, personally, I would switch out the cheese, I'm not a big fontina fan. 8$ yuju sparkling green tea, tea should never be 8$, even if it sparkles. Lol Not to get too political or anything, but people out here really be taking inspo from elsewhere and then tax the fuck out of it here. NYC, would neverrrrrrr. Their inflation/economy is just as bad over there and prices for food remain loyal to the people. Greed is at an all time high. Overall, did I like the price? No. Will I be back? Yes. SMH read more

Chopped Cheese: think of a chopped up cheeseburger on a long sandwich bun. If you're in the mood for a solid cheeseburger, then this is it. Pairs really well with their crispy waffle fries. Korean Fried Chicken: I didn't plan on getting this but I would've regretted it if I didn't. It was soooo good! Fried to perfection, mildly spicy seasoning, and amazing yuzu crema as a dipping sauce on the side. Don't miss out on this, just get it. You won't regret it. Service for drinks is super fast, and food takes a bit longer but I don't mind because you can tell they make it to order. There was a line all the way outside and almost wrapping around the street but it was constantly moving so not bad. There was a decent amount of seating inside and a few more smaller tables outside. Parking is available on the streets. read more

Came here before 9am on a Saturday while getting my cars oil change next door at 4Evers body shop (which btw I HIGHLY recommend as well! Ever is THE BEST) anywayyyyyyy, this place is super chill, they have the best hip hop playlist going and the staff here are sooo welcoming. The latte was aaaamazing!! wow!! Sandwich was delicious! The chop cheese here is amazing! It does get very busy, but the lines move quickly. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent, and my kids enjoyed the fried chicken. Everything is made to order quickly, prices are fair, considering the portion size and quality ingredients used. They have indoor as well as a bit of outdoor seating, also packaged all to go. Their drinks are delicious too. I love that they are open early so you can enjoy a Hardy breakfast here, highly recommended! read more

My tried & true cafe for cheesy, flavorful sandwiches and refreshing drinks! Bodega Park is located on a pretty busy street but worth the hassle for street parking. Service is quick and friendly. Ambiance is more of a cafe/lunch vibe. Love the concept of it being a quick fix. However there are indoor seating options and a few outdoor tables if you're looking to linger. The sandwiches are umami and crave-worthy - especially if you're craving something cheesy!! Drinks are equally as impressive. My fav is the yuzu matcha - perfect balance and sweetness. Bodega Park is a staple for me & we can't help but to keep coming back. read more

Oh my gosh this place is amazing! Went on a Thursday around lunchtime and it was a great time, didn't have to wait long at all, found seating easily. I got a chopped cheese and the spicy Caesar sandwich, as recommended by Steven. He did not let me down because those sandwiches were AMAZING. Like some of the best sandwiches I've ever had!! The Caesar one was delicious. I loved the crunchy chicken. Great dressing too. But the chopped cheese was my favorite. It is basically a cheeseburger in sandwich form and it was done so well. The bread itself was deliciously toasted and the flavors were phenomenal. I got an iced Bodega vanilla (vanilla latte with housemade vanilla syrup) and an iced cappuccino as well. They were pretty good but not excellent in my opinion. Glad I tried them though! I loved the little specks of vanilla bean I saw in my vanilla latte. Steven and Jocelyn had great service. The ambiance here is very chill, a nice place to hang out! Not too loud and not cricket silent. read more
Butterfly milk is one of the things that my lil one loves about Bodega Park. It is a very light, in-house made and mixed vanilla bean syrup that gets mixed into Strauss farms organic milk. We have been meaning to try the Tiger Milk but we always forget and by the time we realize it, we are waiting at the end of the bar. Oops. But regardless, there is the butterfly milk. She loves it. I ordered a chopped cheese for the hubby. He didn't say anything about it but I can only suspect that he loved it because he was so focused on eating and making some serious foodie love eyes at his sandwich that he didn't talk to anyone while he was eating. The aroma was fantastic. I could smell a little something in the beef that gave it a kick. I thought to ask for a bite but I had a feeling I would have been given a rather scary WTF kind of expression. Initially the grilled cheese looked like a good option for my lil one but when I saw it come out I noticed that the bread and toast level would have been a bit too much for my lil one who has an especially delicate palate. So, we opted for another type of yummy. We ordered the avo egg and cheese. that was tasty and hearty. My lil one loved it and gobble it up in silence. Another thing that she enjoys is their honey butter toast. It goes nicely with the butterfly milk. It is always a for sure win with this item. So, either way, the lil one is good. If you have never been, there is no parking lot. Although, there is plenty of parking on the street. It is a rather hipster spot and is usually very busy busy. Pay attention to which door you walk through. You don't want to walk in where the dining room is. That immediately identifies you as a noob to this spot. LOL. And yes, I did exactly that. I didn't care though. You place your order at the register and wait to the left side for your name to be called. I can't say that they have a limited drink menu at all but I do wish tha they had more options ht would have been more kid friendly. read more

New local fave!! Everything here is so good. We ordered a matcha latte and americano to start. Both were made perfectly. The matcha actually tasted like matcha and wasn't overpowered by milk. If you are used to Starbucks matcha then I recommend getting it sweetened. We actually ordered two and added vanilla the second time, the sweetness was perfect. The cinnamon roll was AMAZING. I had been craving one, I recommend getting it warmed up. For sandwiches we got a chopped cheese and waited till 10 for the lunch sandwiches. We were wowed! The bread is so good and they have the perfect amount of dressing and meat. The service was great. And the ambiance inside was cute, minimalistic. Along with a scrumptious food menu, their coffee shop drink menu offers traditional coffee options along with Asian infuses flavors such as black sesame! When you discover those black specs in your drink order, get ready to be blown away. Let's start off with your simple sounding Bodega Latte, sounds like a basic vanilla latte but soon you will discover within a few sips that house made vanilla bean syrup where they scrape off the insides of each vanilla bean makes a huge difference. Puro Misugaru Black Sesame or even if you get it with espresso, this drink is delicious. With one sip, it keeps you yearning for more and suddenly you realize your cup is empty. They have perfected for @coffeeshopajummas bon the right texture and taste. Others make a black sesame version of this drink but not as good as Bodega Park's. Amazing drink and pastry! The ambiance of the place is also so cute, and the server was very knowledgable and kind. I liked what I ordered a lot, but the ice cubes were so big that I felt like I had barely started drinking and I was already finished. It wasn't an issue of the cup size but rather how much of the latte was actually there. I just wish the ice was smaller so that I can drink more because it was a good latte read more

Saw on Yelp on the Chopped Cheese sandwich and it did not disappoint! Is it a cheeseburger? Is it a sandwich? Is it a burrito? Who cares, because it tasted so delicious in my mouth. I did have to pick out the jalapenos, but if you like it spicy then it should be great for you. Hubby and I also shared the spicy chicken sandwich. Note that they used dark meat for this which we are fine with because it was so juicy and tender. The baguette bread for both sandwiches was fresh and lightly toasted. I really, really love this place. The food is tasty and the service is nice. But they really have changed their portion sizes. The sopresatta sandwich hardly had ANY meat. For $17, the sandwich have more than just a ton of greens. read more

This place deserves 5 stars! The chopped cheese sandwich is what brought me here. I came to silver lake for some shopping, and was craving a sandwich melt. I searched sandwiches in the area, and came across Bodega Park. The picture of the chopped cheese made me immediately drool. I drove 6 minutes, found street parking (metered 75 cents for 45 minutes), and parked right out front of the restaurant. Important to note, there is limited seating inside and outside, The restaurant closes at 3pm, and the prices are about $16 for the sandwich and $8 for the coffee. I paid $24 for my sandwich and drink. The chopped cheese sandwich was a toasted sesame baguette with seasoned beef, melted cheese, fresh shredded lettuce and chopped onions and jalepenos. It was large, cut into two halves, and it could have easily served two people. I in fact ate the entire sandwich, but was very full and didn't eat again for the rest of the day. 5 stars for friendly staff members, great sandwich, and cute little shop in Silverlake. I'm not a sando lover but I really think they've made it right. Massive respect to this place for keeping it simple but ultra quality, clean, and flowing. It feels like the adult cafeteria you wanted to be in recess: food comes out right and on time, the team is chill and not excessively friendly- but sensible and not aloof. The noise level is right and I could see myself enjoying my fancy coffee while I read the newspaper for 30 mins and get my day on right! Also, don't get the three piece wings, get the SIX! read more

The hamburger sandwich here was SO GOOD omg I would 10000% make the drive back here just to get that again. The misugaru latte was good too but I felt it could have been a little sweeter. Still 5 stars regardless! read more
Bodega Park has been on my list for quite some time now. I finally made my way over there for lunch on a Wednesday. My cousin and I did find meter parking in front of the restaurant. I believe it was a dollar for an hour. Not too bad. I do like the vibe of the place. You order up front and there are seats inside or outdoors. We decided to order a couple of things to try since everything sounded amazing. We went with the chopped cheese, of course, I have been eyeing this sandwich since I saw it on IG. It was a good sandwich that tasted exactly like a burger but in a sandwich form. I love burgers and this sandwich was right up my alley. I did enjoy the bits of jalapeno in it. Beware it does add a spice kick to it. We also ordered the Aji Chicken Breakfast burrito. I enjoyed this burrito a lot. I love the chicken and sauce. The hash brown was still crispy which gave the perfect crunch that I crave in a breakfast burrito. The only part I would change was the amount of cheese they put in the burrito. It was really cheese-heavy. However, a very good pick. I was torn between which dish I enjoyed more, the chopped cheese or the breakfast burrito. I would get both. We also opted to try the 3 piece Korean Hott Fried Chicken since a lot of people ordered it. The fried on these chicken wings were awesome. Nice, golden, and juicy inside. I did enjoy the secret seasoning but it was overwhelming and got a bit salty on some parts. I feel like the seasoning tastes like instant noodles seasoning which brought me back to my childhood. Be prepared because these wings are spicy, they were not kidding when they said it was HOTT. They do give you a crema dip that helps offset it. The dip was great. We actually dipped in our fries cause we didn't know it was for our chicken. Overall, a great place to check out. Everything we had was full of flavors and did not disappoint. A fast casual restaurant/café located on a pretty busy area of Silver Lake on Sunset. There are coffee drinks, as well as hot breakfast/lunch items made to order as well as some pastries available for sale behind the counter. The folks here are pretty efficient and really friendly. You can wait in line and order or you can order your food/ drinks off the website with an estimated ready time. I came here specifically for the NYC style bodega chopped cheese. It was my first time ever having a chopped cheese. Essentially a deconstructed cheeseburger. It was on a pressed sesame seed hero roll, which gave the sandwich a firmer structure than that of a cheeseburger bun. Ordered some giardiniera pickles on the side for a little extra umph. I was a big fan of the sandwich and I really do love sandwiches that incorporate sesame seed bread of some variety. Well executed in flavors and texture. I also ordered a mal-cha latte. I was a fan of that drink as well. Definitely would come back for the same sandwich. Also, I would be curious to try their breakfast burritos as well. read more
This place is so good! Came before the lunch rush so the wait wasn't too bad. Service was great and the workers there are attentive. The place is pretty small so be sure to have a friend grab a seat first. Misugaru Black Sesame - the latte was tasty! Can definitely taste the rich flavor and it's not too sweet.
