I came here on a Sunday around 10am and got there right before the crowd started. There were plenty of open seats available at the time. We had a party of 3 and had options to choose from both inside and outside. The service was friendly and welcoming, they offer one public restroom and only have street parking. Luckily, we found parking right across the street. It was my first time here, butI went with two friends that highly recommended this place. They both recommended the Bodega Chopped. So I ordered the Bodega Chopped, Korean Fried Chicken and the Misugaru Black Sesame. All were very delicious! The Bodega Chopped was a decent size so I only ate half and was able to enjoy the other half for dinner later that day. The Korean Fried had a homemade touch to it bc it wasn't heavily breaded like the usual Korean Fried Chicken I'm use to. They were fried perfectly with a light and airy crisp and coasted with the an umami dry seasoning. Not sure what this seasoning is, but I want a bottle of this to put on everything! Each wing is a "full" wing that includes both the drumsticks and flats. You're able to order this in a small portion of (3 pcs) or large (6 pcs). I was also able to try their chopped cheese sandwich, a blend of melted cheese and beef that reminded me of a cross between a Philly cheesesteak and a burger. I loved that this was a pressed sandwich which provided the perfect crunch on the bread. Butterfly milk is one of the things that my lil one loves about Bodega Park. It is a very light, in-house made and mixed vanilla bean syrup that gets mixed into Strauss farms organic milk. I searched sandwiches in the area, and came across Bodega Park. The picture of the chopped cheese made me immediately drool. I drove 6 minutes, found street parking (metered 75 cents for 45 minutes), and parked right out front of the restaurant. Important to note, there is limited seating inside and outside, The restaurant closes at 3pm, and the prices are about $16 for the sandwich and $8 for the coffee. I paid $24 for my sandwich and drink. The chopped cheese sandwich was a toasted sesame baguette with seasoned beef, melted cheese, fresh shredded lettuce and chopped onions and jalepenos. It was large, cut into two halves, and it could have easily served two people. I in fact ate the entire sandwich, but was very full and didn't eat again for the rest of the day. 5 stars for friendly staff members, great sandwich, and cute little shop in Silverlake.
