I wasn't impressed. Ten of us stopped in for lunch. My wife order the salmon club and I ordered lox on a bagel. The bagels were toasted so hard that they crunched. It wasn't our idea to eat here but it was a democracy. Others said it was On the whole, perhaps we would have been happier having coffee and going elsewhere. This is a lovely spot to grab a quick coffee and sit and chat with friends. A full bar in which to play bookie from work and adulting. Only opened till two I think. I nice outdoor area also. Interior is more than welcoming and appealing to their product. I have had two meals and they were both great! Charcuterie slicer?! Wow! Full bar! I may be a harsh critic, but I give bodega a 3 out of 5 for two things and its around the baristas. Great quality of bean but every coffee I order is made sub standard. It's more than just a physically appealing macchiato or latte, but consistency with the blend. Some of the staff seem to seem troubled to take your order and seem to be more engaged at chatting with customers or coworkers instead of paying guests. I would recommend this to anyone! Will be back. Just wish I could get as high quality of coffee I get at places such as Buona Caffe Artisan Roasted Coffee. read more

I love this place! Never been there in the morning, just afternoons. It's never been very busy when I've been there. Keep in mind they close at 2:30. Sit on the patio. This is probably one of the worst meals and services that I've experienced. Best comment I have for them is that the location is nice. The wait staff is completely unorganized: my party was only of two and the items that we ordered were brought separately and with a half hour difference. Had to ask multiple times for simple things like napkins, silverware, and straws. The food was completely mediocre: who puts lettuce on a lox bagel? And why was the cream cheese so salty? First, this place is super cute and the atmosphere is really chill for anyone who wants to grab a coffee and some food with a friend or just by yourself. I wouldn't recommend it as a study spot especially during peak hours, but in down time I can see it being quiet enough to study. I came originally the first time for the coffee and I was throughly surprised of how good the cold brew coffee was. Normally coffee in Augusta is watered down and more like coffee water than actual coffee. But this cold brew coffee is pretty legit!! I came a second time with my mom to eat some food and have the cold brew coffee again ^.^ my mom LOVED her shrimp and grits and said it was the best place so far in Augusta to get them. I have the roast beef sandwich croissant. It's really hard to eat but it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. That's where the one star is missing. It wasn't horrible it was just average but I'll be coming back for the shrimp and grits since my mom is still raving about it!! Service here is a little awkward because you line up and you are surrounded by other customers who are sitting and eating. The servers don't check on people and don't bring silverware when they bring your meal which was a little confusing of why they don't. This is in no way, your ordinary dine-in restaurant with table service. It is definitely a different yet unique experience. The bartender this day(Erica, I think), was very knowledgeable about drinks and makes the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. She was very personable and went above and beyond. How excited we were to try this place, local and we always want to support local businesses. It was great weather, we wanted some brunch to headed t here to sit outside and enjoy the morning. We were greeted by the owners dog, very sweet and always looking for a dropped morsel...at least he was enjoying the food....us not at all. We ordered to breakfast sandwiches on croissants. The were barely hot and while I appreciate using fresh eggs we do like ours san shells! We both had egg shells in ours. The worst of it all was our server was useless, she forgot half our meals, never refilled our drinks, never asked us how our food was and finally just set the check down and walked way...nothing, no thank you or even get out ! This was an amazing meal and one of the best brunch places in the area. I arrived wanting some real special brunchables on my birthday. The menu looked promising, and then I saw that the special on the board was a soft shell crab sandwich. I wanted it and was immensely disappointed when I was told that it was an option for lunch only. I ordered the Ultima sandwich on a croissant instead and I was so glad I did. It was a fantastic flavor experience, with a perfectly crumbly and buttery croissant. The coffee I had with it was fantastic as well. I definitely will eat brunch there again soon! read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It is my go to place for lunch anytime I have an out of town visitor. They never disappoint. Service is excellent and food (in taste and presentation) is stellar. The Mediterranean and Kale salads are healthy selections and delicious to boot. My favorite café in Augusta. Coffee is well made, food is tasty, they have a full bar, staff is friendly, seating is comfortable, music choice is on point... uhh, bathrooms are always clean. You get the idea. Also, the decor is pretty sweet. Anyways, I've been coming here since they opened and they've only gotten better. Happy to have stumbled upon this coffee shop/cafe. After working out at oxygen across the plaza, was looking forward to a coffee drink and small snack. Found bodega ultima- was able to walk right in and order at the counter. Ordered the Garden Multigrain toast (multi grain toast, thin layer of ricotta, tomato, avocado slices, micro greens, sea salt) and an iced vanilla almond milk latte. Order was ready quickly, and was very reasonable at $11 total. Everything was delicious! Interiors were beautiful and there were many people sitting at the bar socializing, reading, and working on laptops. Definitely suggest stopping here when in Augusta. read more

If I could do half a star I would. The ambience seems great however walked out on the outdoor area and there are chew toys and unleashed dogs wandering throughout the entire space. I was there with my family and left because of the dogs fighting and barking at each other. Dog friendly means not family friendly and definitely needs to be reconsidered before there is a traumatic event. And dog friendly can't be in an enclosed space. No one wants to eat at a bark park. read more

First time visiting today. I ordered a bagle with lox. It was delicious. They make their own lox, and it did not disappoint. My coffee was cold. I think they made it and let it sit till they brought my bagel. They did replace it immediately when I pointed it out. It was very smooth. One negative is it appears all the indoor seats are the TALL chairs, at tall tables. Not appropriate for disabled people, i.e. knee troubles. I will not be able to take other family members to the restaurant because of that. read more

I ordered this for a client lunch. First, they didn't have any chicken wings, which were still on the menu. Secondly, I ordered a salmon wrap and they were out of salmon. Third, the pastrami sandwich was supposed to come with fries, but it ended up coming with a tiny scoop of potato salad. Fourth, the sides of potato salad are a joke... two bites and then you're finished. Fifth, very overpriced for the portions and quality. No thanks. This is my new fav for a bit to eat in Augusta. The location is lovely, the staff were super nice and answered all my questioned abt the menu. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern. I coffee was silky smooth and absolutely delightful. The food was fresh and a step above the run of the meal chain choices I'm usually left with for lunch or breakfast. I can't believe I didn't find out about this place earlier (even though it's only been open since October), especially since coffee shops are my thing! I was delighted to find this laid back but classy place. It is very clean and the interior is beautiful. The brick and wood that make up the structure of the establishment coupled with the soft lighting and nice music (a combination of classic rock, folk, etc.) lend to the welcoming atmosphere of the place. Service was terrific and friendly. I was offered a sample of the coffee I ended up ordering beforehand, which was really nice. My food was brought to me and my plate and silverware were taken when I was done. Lastly, the coffee and sandwich I ordered were great! I had a sandwich called "The Basque" and it was tasty as well as filling. I'd recommend checking this relatively new place out if you are into coffee shops! I frequently visit the Takosushi located in Surrey Center. When I found out the same family who owns Takosushi opened another restaurant within Surrey Center, I had to forego my usual Stoney's Roll (My Takosushi favorite) to give this place a try. The decor and ambiance is warm and inviting and the lunch menu had several items that looked very promising. I decided to try the Smoked Salmon BLT. The salmon was on point!!! But the bagel (brought in from Columbia SC) was beyond amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and my glass was never empty. Oh, and their beer selection is one that would satisfy the snobbiest of craft beer snobs (Sculpin Grapefruit IPA on draft)! I definitely recommend you give this place a try. If you like Takosushi, you'll love Bodega Ultima! read more
