My best place to get my latte, flavorful coffee. I have been going to Placentia location since it's been opened. This is my second time being charged for 16 oz and given 12oz. When I asked the staff ( the new guy) that I was given 12oz instead of 16oz . He said both my lattes are in 16oz cups. I am looking at the cups that says 12oz . Omg ! I know the difference but didn't have the time to stand in line to talk to the cashier to clarify. The same guy gave me chai latte instead of regular latte ... that i ordered to go last week!!!! Had a lovely iced latte with their seasonal maple flavor and it was delicious. The staff was courteous and helpful with my allergy questions. The shop was very tidy as was the restroom. They have wifi and I was able to find a comfortable table with an outlet so I could work. Will be back when I'm on this side of town. read more

The place is great! The coffee is definitely delicious. The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because customer service has to be your number 1 priority. I came in for cold brew and asked for heavy cream. After waiting for quite some time it was definitely busy day which I understand the waiting part was not the problem. When I got my drink I notice instead of heavy cream that I had asked for; it was whip cream what I got. My problem started when I kindly asked the girl in the bar if it was possible for her to switch it. In which her responds was ok not so happy about it. When I got my drink which was such a hassle to make I notice it had been downsize and there was no ice on the ice coffee I order. At that point I got my drink and left. However, words to the wise you can have some lousy product but if you're customer service is great people will keep on showing up. read more

I went in for a simple coffee and what I left with was a middling experience and more reason to stick to other chains (coffee bean, starbucks, etc.) The coffee was fine, but the staff member Prescilla almost seemingly went out of her way to make it seem like my order and time was beneath her. Just because i can't pronounce half the menu doesn't mean that i need to be treated like a child or some kind of fool. Update: Still haven't heard anything a week later. Went there this Monday(12/27) To pick up breakfast and coffee for me and the wife. My Cereal Milk Latte tasted sour like some ingredient was spoiled or something bad was accidentally added. I gagged a couple minutes later cuz of it. I tried calling several times throughout the day and even left a voicemail trying to notify them, but I still haven't heard anything from them. Definitely disappointing... we were there last week and the toast, coffee, and service were amazing which is why I went back this week but this last experience definitely left a sour taste... literally and figuratively. read more

No better place to go to kick off National Coffee Day than Bodhi! I got the rose vanilla latte (only two pumps rose) with almond milk and it was perfection! Came out to $5.55 for the large. Bodhi is one of my go to coffee spots although I usually go to the one in Orange. This is my second time coming to this location. It was super busy and crowded especially because it's so small compared to the Orange location. Although it was packed the employee, Cash, was pumping out coffees quickly and accurately. Really enjoyed my first experience at Bodhi! Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend and ordered a cold brew with oat milk and a latte with macadamia nut milk. They have a wide selection of drink sizes and milk varieties at reasonable prices. My cold brew was AMAZING (I'm very picky with cold brews as I often find them to be too bitter or almost over-roasted, but this was just perfect) and my boyfriend was so happy that he was able to get his drink with macadamia nut milk (which we didn't even know existed, but apparently a great alternative to lactose intolerant folks). I ordered a 24 oz lavender latte. First of all I will say that the coffee is good. I do wish it had a little more of a lavender flavor. The one problem with this place is its too expensive. It was $5.45 and the typical iPad tablet checkout gives you the option to tip $1, $2, $3 or custom. I decided to tip $1 to make it $6.45. $6.45 for a coffee? That's enough to get a proper fast food meal. I don't think anyone should be paying more than $5 for a cup of coffee. Ever. read more

The two "baristas", on New Year's Day at around 2:30pm looked like they hated life with daggers in their eyes. No greeting, or acknowledge that we were there. Just blank lifeless stare. I've been hearing about this place for several months from friends that work there. Thankfully, those friends were not working the day the review was based on. I walk in, no one pays any attention to the fact a customer has entered the store while busily making stuff for others. I stand there, I stand there, and finally they take my order. This was my first time checking out Bodhi Leaf since they occupied this space about a year ago. This is a small coffee shop which is ideal for those looking to grab a quick drink and get some work done. It's a pretty quite spot as they keep the store's music soft and low. In addition, I really appreciate how clean this place is. The tables were spotless, the pastry case was free of fingerprints, and there were not any straw or sugar wrappers laying around. On top of that, both the cashier and barista working when I came in (6/17 around 1pm) were so friendly and hospitable! I ordered a medium iced vanilla latte with almond milk (my go to drink) and my dad ordered a small mocha with whole milk. My latte did not disappoint! It definitely tasted different than other vanilla lattes I have had and I'm assuming that's because of the beans they use. It was more on the sweet side rather than the strong, bitter taste. The mocha was served with a cute design and tasted better than most mochas I've tried in the past. The single sip I took actually reminded me of hot chocolate. The customer service at this place is OK, not exceptional. The coffee is good, but the seating is very sparse. It is not somewhere I would want to hang out, or feel comfy at. There is not much in the way of pastry selection and I had a breakfast burrito, it was just OK. Welcome to Placentia, Bodhi Leaf! I wasn't able to attend their official grand opening, so I was sure to meet my home girl, Monica, there on Day 2!. Bodhi Leaf, is the far left unit, near Wells Fargo Bank. It's on the corner of Bradford and Yorba Linda Blvd, in what I nickname "the Pick Up Stix strip mall." It now occupies the location that Papa Murphy's Pizza did business out of. The exterior is inviting, with its signage, large windows, sidewalk display, and more. There's some additional parking behind the building, the rear of the bank, on Bradford (towards the Bradford House) and by the CVS at the other end. Inside, there are many tables to sit at. The decor is nice, prices are displayed clearly and there are several small food choices, such as danishes, bagels, scones, and such. I tried the Kombucha tea, since everyone talks about that, and I know it will be a future order of mine. Another best seller seems to be the lavender tea, so I'll likely select the iced version of that down the road, as well. This morning I opted for their fresh black variety from the Brew Bar. My barista, Bita, was a transplant from the Orange store and I can already see how fortunate we are to have her! She was extremely helpful to the newbies that we were, and the passion she has for the brand and what she does was evident. She even remembered our names after a brief introduction and used them after we were enjoying our coffees and before we left! Impressive customer service skills. I like that they offer a rewards program and that I'm already 4 stars into it! Just based on your phone number, so no annoying card to carry or have to remember. Bodhi has established itself as a local favorite with their quality drinks, knowledgeable service, and very reasonable prices. With locations in Orange, Anaheim Hills, and now Placentia, as a resident of the OC, it's hard to avoid. While I am a fan of this new chain, I have to admit that it does not hit all of my preferences. Here's why: - I don't think I have ever sat in less comfortable seats. It's worse than those metal minimalist chairs that most coffee places end up using. They're just straight pieces of wood stuck to metal pipes, which I guess match the aesthetic...which is also not really my preference. - They could pick better locations. Besides the first store front, their shops lack natural lighting and due to their decor, the spaces come off very dim. This is a problem especially for this location which lacks space. Anyways....this place is still great so grab something to-go and ignore everything I said. read more

I asked how many calories are in 1 pump of lavender syrup and they literally sat with me on a Sunday morning and crunched numbers to discover it was roughly 35 calories per pump. Man, I thought I knew math - but apparently the equation is best solved when you have coffee first. :) Thanks so much for making my experience so memorable. Second visit here, ordered a cappuccino. They have a nice selection of pastries too which I'll probably try next time. Great service and coffee. Irwin the barista was very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is nice. Indoor seating consists of 1 high table, 4 smaller tables, and some stools at the thin bar along the wall towards the back. I came to get some work done, but found it uncomfortable due to the direct harsh sunlight coming through the large windows. Same dilemma I encountered last time. Please install shades! read more
