The first time I ever gotten a professional massage and I loved it!! I got Jaime (definitely highly recommend) and let me say, she works wonders!! Before coming in, I had a lot of back pain, especially on my right side, shoulders and neck pain and tension as well. I selected the Customized Therapeutic Massage because, as a newbie, I wanted someone who is skilled in this to take care of the pain. I'm so glad and happy that Jaime was my masseuse because she targeted all the spots I needed, made sure I was comfortable as I told her it was my first time, and made sure my needs were met. The room environment was great too! I left the place feeling so much better. After a few days, I felt so much more relaxed, taller, the pain has left, and happier even!! My body massage was a flat zero star experience, the sheet slid off me 2x and the rubbing was so soft, I asked 2x for harder and she did it for a movement so I stoped asking. This review is for Mariam Elgendy, for enzyme facial treatment. She took the time to analyze what my skin needs and recommended just right products for it. No up sale or try to talk me to getting something more than what I came in for. She was also gentle and took her time in massaging my face along with carefully extract all the blackheads. I love the results even days after the treatment and would definitely come back every 3 to 4 weeks as suggested. My face is brighter and softer more youthful look after she removed all the dull dead skin off. Only thing I'd ask for differently next time and just based on my preference is I'd rather have her more time spend on extraction than massaging my head. Very disappointed with their service and professionalism I went in for a 60 minutes couples massages and ended up receiving only 30 MINUTES, the service seemed super rushed and i was not massaged by the person I had the appointment with and everything seemed rushed. Evelyn was supposed to be my person for the appointment but it was not, Mariam was and she just wanted me and my boyfriend to get out their as fast as we can so she could bring in someone for her next appointment. She kept asking if we wanted to add service. Good thing we did not . The place charged us full price for the service whe we only received 30 minutes. Th place only wants money money money from customers. Since mariam rushed doing massage on me i have this soring pain in my body and i cant even put my hands through cause it is super painful. I come here monthly for deep tissue massages. So far, Brenda is my favorite therapist. The massage rooms are clean and feel very relaxing. The massage beds have heating capabilities. I also received a massage from Evelyn but did not really care for it. She was chitchatting with me during the mssage, which did not help me relax. She also doesn't go that deep when massaging. I just finished having a 60 minute sports massage with Sam and couldn't have asked for a better treatment. Since it was my first treatment at BodyCentre, Sam was very personable and listened to what I was looking for and what areas I wanted to focus on. The sports massage included deep pressure, cupping (which is fantastic if you haven't done it before), various stretching of muscles, use of a percussive massage tool (Theragun) and use of a CBD massage salve/lotion. The massage pressure was always just right and the balance between relaxation and deep tissue/pressure therapy was truly on point. The massage was so fantastic. I have gone to both day spas as well as chiropractors to get both relaxing and/or recovery sports massages. This was by far the best I've received thus far. I was there Friday for a couples massage. The lady Mariam did my massage while Evelyn did my husband's. During the initial introduction they asked if we had any areas that needed attention. I told Mariam, nothing I'm just here to relax. As soon as we started, it's like she purposefully was looking for any areas of discomfort. Keep in mind, I am not one to talk during a massage because all I want is to relax and enjoy it. Mariam immediately begin to dig on my right shoulder. I shrugged when she began to apply pressure because it was painful. Then she said to relax and continued by moving towards my back and right back on my right shoulder. I again shrugged in pain and she continued to insist and put pressure on that shoulder. By the time she finished with that shoulder it felt numbed. She moved on to the other side and again left side of my shoulder did the same as the right. I believe my body was in shock and my adrenaline kicked in by the time she had finished with the right shoulder. When she was finally done I got up and was dizzy and my right shoulder continued to hurt. I did say out loud that my shoulder was sore and she said it's normal and that she can tell that side was in pain. I went on with my evening and continued to complain to my husband that my shoulder was in pain. Today is day 5 since my massage and I am in so much pain and about to book a doctor's appointment to get it checked out. This is unacceptable and therapist should have stopped immediately when she saw the first signs of distress and she failed to do that. I have been seeing Jenna for massages for the past two years. She is wonderful! I tend to get the "Back, Neck, and Shoulders Deep Tissue Massage," since I have a lot of knots and tension in those areas, and most massage therapists that I have experienced do not apply enough pressure. Every time that I see her, she takes the time to consult with me about current areas of pain or discomfort before beginning. During the massage, she will ask if the pressure is to your liking and will make adjustments, if needed. She is attentive, caring and makes sure to check in often to make sure she is applying the right pressure to different body parts. I felt so comfortable with her and was able to communicate what I wanted easily. Some therapists are so intimidating but Anya is super approachable. She diligently worked on the tension in my shoulders and actually tried to break the knots. Some massage therapists just rub your back for a long time without actually unknotting anything so I was so happy when Anya actually dug into my knots to break them apart for an extended period of time. I had a male therapist who gave a great massage, with deep pressure but checked in often to make sure I was comfortable. Hubby had a small lady that gave him a great massage as well. Prices were reasonable and openings were great. My only feedback would be better training for the staff to help with check in and payment. My first facial! I got the 60 minute Organic Facial ($99). I didn't know what to expect since it was my first time getting one but Miriam explained everything beforehand. I like how she asked me if I was fine or okay throughout the entire facial, made me feel like she cared and wanted me to be comfortable. I chose organic because my skin is very sensitive and she used the brand Eminence. I have never used this brand before so I was worried if I would get a bad reaction, but I didn't so I was worried for nothing. Her massages were so nice and relaxing,k I'm sure she probably felt how tense I was...*awkward laughing* She did finish 10 min early but I had somewhere to go after so it kind of worked out but maybe next time I would like the full 60 minutes. I wished that she offered some sort of home maintenence after, but it's okay since I use organic sheet masks at home. My skin feels so soft and looks healthy. I went back home to shower to wash it off. The massage was nothing special. Will not be returning. Edit: I'm writing the honest review I wish I came across before booking. Been to this place before. Used to be nice. Had Mariam first time. What do I say But she finished early. Was super Bossy. in a super rush. Didn't even wipe off the oil properly. No smile when checking out or even offering water. Checkout was in cash and she is like u want change. How much tip u want to give. Felt not like a spa. Very sad feelings. Body feels Worse then when I went there. So many more details. But this is just my opinion and wouldn't recommend her at all. I can understand if someone is having a off day. Saw this place on yelp with good reviews and recommendations on therapists available/their specialty plus I didn't know we can pick our own so that was a plus . Parking/entry: it was a little bit confusing for entrance since it's either street/limited back parking. Entrance was also in the back. Ambiance: place is small but cozy, something I like, water and selection of tea are available and there are magazines for the wait if you go in early. Receptionist is nice and friendly Massage: I tried the relaxation with hot stones and did tell my Miriam my problem areas and she focused on them. She was also very considerate of how I am doing and gradually eased me to be less tense. It didnt feel rushed at all. I actually fell asleep and was woken up with my own heavy breathing. that's how great she was! I will be coming back. Cupping: tried cupping for the first time. Britni explained everything about it, what the discoloration means, what cupping does and initially I wanted to say stop because it was a bit painful but once all the cup were positioned, my body just kind of said "let it be!" I was a little hesitant about increased nights rest after cupping so I decided to wait until the day after to see how I feel and she was right! I'm usually up early but today I actually slept in until 9! And now writing a review... Overall: it was fantastic!
