Made a reservation for my boyfriend for a couples massage on a whim and this has to be one of the best massages we both ever had! He had Petite and I had Jordan. Both were very friendly and asked our preferences in massages and where our trouble areas were. Throughout the massage, they were both attentive and knowledgeable in their techniques. I called in to reschedule my because I got sun burned day the before they won't reschedule for me but still wanted me to pay for the full service, I was not canceling my appointment, I WANTED TO RESCHEDULE!! I was in dire need for a prenatal massage and my usual spot was booked and took to Yelpers for some advice. Booking a massage at BodyCentre was simple, there was an option to book online or simply call into the office. They have multiple massage types as well as well as add ons such as facials and hot rocks. What drew me here was the prenatal massages, they offer two lengths - 60 minutes or 90. They have many masseuses for different time slots and I went with Liz. She was absolutely amazing. We started off our massage with a short consultation - how many weeks I was, checking for swelling and circulation and pain spots I wanted her to focus on. Migraines have plagued me since the beginning of time and unfortunately they have only heightened with pregnancy. Liz performed the most thorough and relaxing scalp massage I had ever had. Throughout the 90 minute massage, Liz made sure I was comfortable and that the pressure was enough. At the end of my massage Liz even suggested several exercises that I do to loosen up certain areas of my body and prevent tightening of muscles. What I appreciated most about Liz was that she wasn't too big on chatter, as much as I love people it was great to shut my mind off for a little while. BodyCenter is located off of Commonwealth and they have a private lot in the back, follow the signs. The lot is small with 7 spots and 1 handicap spot but it wasn't an issue during my appointment. The facility is very clean, each massage room had low lights and relaxing music to set the mood. My 1st time here with my best friend and we had a couples massage. I was excited because I haven't found a masseuse for over 2years. My favorite masseuse left during pandemic and never returned so I was sad. I found out about this place from a client and so I look them up on YELP. They had great reviews which was telling me "wow this is the place" we walked in and was greetes by the receptionist. I had Jamie and she told me that she was awesome and great with foot massage....specialized in that area. Anyways I was ready to relax for an 1.5 hour. 1st of all the facilities and the bathroom was clean as well. That's a 5 star. Jamie gave me a nice starter with rubbing me. Once the massage started to begin it was all elbows and I wanted to relax but there was lot of shaking the body and massage was all over the place. I couldn't get myself to relax. Samuel and Jennifer were our therapists for the hour and did an amazing job massaging. Samuel was able to help my boyfriend with his neck pain that he has been experiencing for months. Booked 7pm one hour deep massage, went in there at 658pm, and the receptionist told me the therapist was late on the appointment prior so I didn't get in the room until 10 mins after 7pm. The Therapist Minja didn't applied any pressure at all, feels like she is just rubbing oil on my back, I had swedish massage it applied more pussure then this. Ok, fine....maybe this is the best she can do....then massage ends at 8pm exact. I thought I had 1 hour (60 mins) session? Minja told me she got another customer after....hello, cuz you have another customer that doesn't means you should cut 10 mins off from my session. All the pain at the base of my neck varies depending on my dumb self. Sometimes it flares up. Some times it is barely noticeable but since I was at the job I was just at 8 1/2 months before the one I'm at right now which doesn't require me to look at a computer AS much as that one, this pain hasn't come like this ever. I've been to the BodyCentre about 4 times now and I tell you it helps a lot. I've already sent in my first review and i stick by it. After my first time, I went several months later after the pain came back, probably cuz I don't do a good job maintaining my muscle comfort. I still do things like lay on my front and read with my head held up for hours. Not often like before but I hold my head up and forget that I've been doing it longer than I should and it brings the pain back so that's my fault. I should be resting my neck muscles as much as possible and use remedies like icy hot and warm compresses and whatnot, but I never do. I always feel that after awhile, sleep will make the pain go away like it always had until I developed this problem from that job where I just sat looking at a screen in an uncomfortable position for hours on end every day. Glad I left that job, BUT, sadly I was there long enough for the damage to linger as it has til this day. Anyway, I've gone back a few times and each time it helps at least a little. One thing I like about the gals that work out of there is that not only do they know what they're doing, but they really seem to like what they do. Since Jennifer who was my very first massage there (And ever, actually), I've had the honor of a massage from Evelyn, Britni, and most recently, Jordan. They all make a very comfortable environment and soothing aura about the place and experience. Oh yes, I still intend on going back more. Going to do that deep pressure again. I really want the next massage to really go deep into the bottom and back of my neck. Go to this place if you have aches that will NOT go away, people. It's great. read more

I found this place after receiving a spafinder giftcard. Because it was close to home, I decided to call the day of on 2/19/20 to see if there were any availabilities. The woman I spoke to over the phone, which I found out later was the owner, was very courteous and accomodating to my wants/needs. I booked for two 60 minute massages at 8 pm. A couple hours later, I needed to book an additional massage for my sister who wanted to go as well. However, I was told by the owner that there weren't any availabilities for a full hour massage, but only a 30-minute head, shoulder, neck massage at 7:30 pm. I said that was fine with me. I arrived at 7:33 pm (3 minutes late from appointment time) and a staff member greeted me at the front desk asking me a few questions and also told me to fill out a form. By the time I was finished answering her questions and filling out the form, it was 7:38 pm. The staff then proceeded to tell me that because I came late, I would only be getting the massage for the remaining 20 minutes AND still be charged the full amount of $45 for the 30-minute massage I booked for. I wasn't aware that they started to charge the minute I walked in and finished filling out the form. I decided not to get the massage because it wouldn't be worth it. The staff then proceeded to tell me that I may still be charged the 45$ because I canceled, but would have to call me back the next day after confirming with the owner. All of this sounded pretty absurd. I'm giving three stars because my mother and sister were satisfied with their 60-minute massages. read more

However, I do like jenna! she just hits all the spot in my upper body. often times i feel like the upper chest area is forgotten. I honestly think it helps with my neck and shoulder pain.
