We were super impressed with Boil Spot. Loved the ability to do both hot pot and barbecue. The variety of meats was excellent and the conveyor belt of noodles and vegetables was easy to use. Service was great and since there is a lot going on at the table the staff was good about sharing knowledge even if you are not seated at a particular servers table. Caveat here is that it was not very busy the night we went. A tip: give yourself lots of time. 2 hours would not be out of the question for a table of 4. 2 of us spent an hour and 15 minutes and had to rush to finish up in that time in order to make our evening show. Got to try a lot of different foods that I've never had before. Wish that I knew how to cook the different foods with the different sauces.... I'll bet it would be really good if you did! Yes, you saw it here first--not only is it delicious but it's all you can eat with a choice of soup base and a conveyor belt for veggies and a sauce bar and seafood bar and two meat stations. One for barbecue and one for soup plus ice cream for dessert! So good! I got the mushroom broth base that I could drink and it was really good and the hubs got the spicy Tom Ka guy base that was too spicy to drink but flavored your food very nicely. I had this place in Tampa and I think they just recently opened another location in Orlando. Absolutely love it! My favorite part is the food bar. You don't have to wait for the waiter/waitress for meats. You can grind out all the meats you want since they're all available. We found out about Boil Spot from an advertisement at the outlets and decided to check it out. The place is really clean. The all-you-can-eat price was a good deal and we definitely ate our fill. We've been to many hot pot and KBBQ restaurants before, and most of the food options here were fresh. John also provided us with great service. For dessert, we got watermelon and oranges in addition to the ice cream we were able to pick out. My only con was that we had a group of six, so sitting in the booths (the only options they have throughout the restaurant) and getting up to get additional food was challenging. We ended up having those sitting on the end be the runners for our food. Overall, it was a great place to eat after shopping for a few hours at the outlets. We are visiting Disney World and it was a different option than the typical burgers and pasta at Disney Springs. read more

I'm a beef tongue lover, and while they don't have beef tongue here, there are a ton of other options including lamb, ribeye steak, garlic shrimp, and short rib. If you're going for hot pot, there are a lot of soup base options which servers will grab for you. Other than that, serve yourself and grab your own proteins and veggies! read more

This place has a nice concept but when I got there it was 2 hours before closing so they barely had anything on the conveyor belt. If you wanted something that wasn't meat or seafood you had to flag down a waiter. The meat and seafood was all in a bar for you to grab like buffet style. This place is literally so delicious and the servers are so attentive! I'm from CA where there's hot pot places everywhere you go and this spot really outdoes a lot of them! When you walk in, you are greeted which such amazing service. Our server gave us recommendations and even allowed us to alter the spice level on the spicy broth by putting the paste on the side. If was something we wanted but didn't see on the conveyer belt, our server would promptly get it for us in the back! For the food: The broth was so soothing and perfectly salty and numbing spicy after a long day of walking around at the park in the rain and the toppings ( vegetables, tofu, fish balls) for the broth keeps coming as they roll through the conveyer belts. You pick your own meats from the freezer to add to your soup. You have the option to chose between chicken, beef, lamb, and/ or seafood. Rice is included but you have to ask! Its funny how even when we go on vacation we end up at a Korean place or hot pot place. Nonetheless this place was great for the price paid! I called two other places in the area that had a similar menu and both had about a hour wait. We decided to give this one a try after reading other yelp reviews. Its relatively newer than the other places. It has a cute conveyor belt that runs along all of the tables to serve the vegetables for hot pot which is great! It was fun to just grab the ones we wanted and not have to get up for every single thing. All of the places we live near you order everything through the server and they bring it to you, which, in my opinion takes more time and then sometimes you forget what you ordered. HERE you just go to the little buffet line and get your meat, fish, and other hotpot things. They also have a section for people doing the bbq. Its much more efficient. Their egg fried rice was surprisingly good! I went up for seconds on that. Food was good and we defiantly ate our moneys worth. Its an individual pot so everyone can get their own broth. We recently went to Boil Spot Hot Pot & BBQ to get boba (bubble tea) to go. It was the best boba my family and I have ever had. We went back a couple more times during our trip for more boba. We have a condo we retreat to when life gets too hectic. It's very close to this restaurant in a strip mall with Publix as the main draw. We noticed a new restaurant, Boil Spot Hotpot and BBQ but small restaurants in this mall come and go regularly. However, we were checking for a Korean restaurant and noticed this one was only a month old but had a 4.9 rating. I suspected self-reviews by the owner and friends, but they were detailed and each quite different except all said this was a great restaurant. The reviews were correct in every aspect from the handles on the doors to the amazing attention to detail. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The question was whether to go all in for $33 that included the BBQ or just the hot pot for about $5 less. Having a party of 6 we chose just the hot pot - one cannot order the BBQ without the Hotpot. A conveyer belt brings that runs by each booth had an astonishing number of different items to cook in the Hot Pot and about eight broths to choose from. In addition, they had a "buffet" with dozens of choices from beef and lamb to clams, huge shrimp, and scallops to choose from. What a fantastic find! I was delighted to find they also have an older one on Fowler Avenue in Tampa which is a bit closer to our home. That one the manager told me was two years old and they plan to open more. There are lots of pictures from the Fowler Ave Hot Spot. The menu has photos for all the offerings. Next time it's just my wife and me we will try the BBQ too.
