What I Ordered: Beef ($20.45) Korean Bean Paste ($19.98) Garlic Pork Belly ($6.41) Scallion Gravy Rice ($2.83) Pudding Sweet Milk with Boba ($6.45) Food: Boiling Point's Hot Soup is always a good old reliable for a warm bowl of soup. My personal favorite is the Beef Hot Soup, which comes with beef, fish cake, and assorted vegetables. The broth is rich and savory and you can choose to get it with either rice or vermicelli noodles. I personally get mine with rice and choose the Mild spicy level. Don't forget that at lunch you can come for cheaper prices and free tea! It was my first time getting appetizers here, but I loved my Garlic Pork Belly, which is thinly sliced pork belly with a strong and savory garlic flavor. I love wrapping some rice with the pork belly and eating it all together in one bite. Staff: All staff members were friendly and provided quick service! Ambiance: The inside of the restaurant is modern and clean. Huge parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza. Indoor seating only.

My local spot for when I'm craving hot pot! I usually order the beef pot and it never disappoints. When you go around their lunch special hours you can get a free tea with your pot. The beef pot is delicious, bursting with flavors. I usually get my broth mild because it's pretty spicy. I get it with vermicelli. Service is great, staff members are super friendly, tentative, and efficient. Ambiance is nice, there's descent amount of booths and tables. There's always a wait, but they have a iPad for you to put your name on the waitlist.

Came here craving something spicy, and this spot definitely delivered. My go-to order is the #4 Beef Hot Soup with medium spice, and I always recommend getting the beef upgrade. It's consistently good every time honestly hard to go wrong with it. The ambience is pretty average, nothing too special, but it gets the job done for a casual meal. Service was solid as well. The staff were friendly and kept checking in on us to make sure everything was good. I went when it wasn't too busy, which made the experience even smoother. Overall, a reliable spot when you're in the mood for something hot and spicy. Definitely worth checking out.

Am I crazy for eating hot pot in 90 weather? Absolutely lol. I've been to the Boiling Point in Garden Grove many times, but this was my first visit at this location. Parking: Free parking lot. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: I really like this location because it's very spacious, unlike the GG location. They have a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. All tables and chairs were clean. We visited during early dinner hours on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. More foot traffic came around 17:00-19:00. Service: Shout out to our server Jewel! She's attentive and courteous. She checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Throughput was also quick after ordering. Food: My go-to is the House Special or Beef. I decided to go with the Beef, mild, and rice. It came with a generous amount of protein, vegetables, and toppings. I also got rice in the side. Noodles and ramen cost extra. The soup base was very tasty with a nice kick to it. They also offered some specials like 50% off milk teas and happy hour during specific hours. Pricing: Don't forget to scan your BP points through the app. Prices have gone up over the years. It's worth it every once in a while.

I love boiling point! I came here quite often and stacked up a lot of reward points but I honestly have not come in so long. I think it's bc I can go to Broth Shabu down the street for roughly the same price and get ayce. Before you come for me, I know that one is Taiwanese and the other is japanese, so I'm aware they're diff cuisines but to me if I'm craving for a good soup/meal, I always consider quality and bang for buck. However, I came on my birthday because they offer a free small pot + drink for guests dining in. All you need to do is show proof with valid ID and it has to be redeemed on your actual birthday. My normal go-to is the #8 Taiwanese spicy! it's a large spicy pot with ramen noodles and lots of protein (beef, pork, and some seafood). But for birthdays, only small pots are included, so I opted for the #4 beef pot. This is a very popular choice, however it was my 1st time having it. Unlike the taiwanese, the beef pot allows you to choose your spice level- I chose mild (I was recovering from a stomach bug, so I wanted to play it safe) The beef pot is very similar to the taiwanese pot imo. It has vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, fish cakes, pork ball, and some seafood. The mild spice had a little kick but nothing too crazy. It also comes with a side of noodles or rice, I just rice. I honestly thought the small size wasn't going to be enough but I ended up not even finishing it and had the rest taken home. For my drink, I was recommended the assam black tea by my server. I very much enjoyed it! There was just the right amount of sweetness to it but you can also customize how sweet you want it too. Overall I really enjoy my meals here, the service is great, and the ambiance is not too loud. I'm so grateful that BP offers this birthday freebie, it's a nice way to treat ourselves on our special day!

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free hot pot & drink on your actual birthday Lunch orders include drink of choice Taiwanese Spicy- I am never ordering this againg! Mala (Hot)! As I've become older, my heat tolerance has slowly dwindled down from what it once was. Pondering between the Taiwanese Spicy & The Hot Green soup, I was told the Taiwanese Spicy cannot be adjusted for heat, but the Hot Green can. Believing I'm muy macho, and hearing from a fellow customer in line that her favorite is the Taiwanese Spicy, I figured I'd go for it. Yikes! My mouth immediately numbed and eating became a challenge. I had the staff add more broth to dilute, and it only slightly became less difficult to consume. The Taiwanese Spicy was good, loaded with protein. After finishing most of the ingredients sans broth & some vegetables, my mouth started find relief from the heat. Deciding upon having a couple spoonfuls of broth for the LOL's, I immediately felt the pain in my nose and starting coughing. Whew! Hokkaido boba milk tea & jasmine green tea- Lunch orderes come w/ drink of choice, and the birthday promo also includes a drink, hence two free drinks. I wish I could've said I savored these drinks, but I finished these right away, to alleviate some of the punishing burn from the broth. Refreshing, though. Service was excellent. Showing the staff my ID to show it was birthday, they were friendly, hospitable & quick with service. Boiling Point, you are locked in as my birthday destination spot for some nourishing hot pot action in the midst of the August heat wave. I wish I knew about BP's birthday promo sooner, as I would've taken advantage of this wonderful deal numerous times, already.

We came here to celebrate my bf's birthday. They still offer the free birthday hot pot. I got the beef hot pot. Food still delicious. I love the winter melon tea. Service was good. We upgraded the tie with mince pork and extra side of beef. Overall, it's a nice way to celebrate a birthday.

Super duper good! Boiling point never disappoints , service is quick and easy!! It's not too crowded and we were greeted and sat right away

Just like any other locations, this place also gets packed. I did notice the wait times weren't too bad though. The food is still good and the ambiance is lively. The only thing is that the service is so low. We sat down for a good 10 minutes and no one came to take our order and had to flag them down.

Easy eats hot pot in a strip mall. Was sat immediately for a weekday dinner. Place was clean - your typical boiling point. Took a bit to place an order and we were pretty hungry. Received our food - was pretty good. I drink a bit of water and needed to call the waiter back often for refills. Would come back for an easy soup.

My Asian parents love coming here for special events!! I got the # 6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup with a mild spice level. The soup is served with a fire underneath, but you can ask if you want the fire turned off anytime. The soup was not too spicy, and it tasted great! There was plenty of meat and vegetables, and there are vermicelli noodles at the bottom that are easy to forget. I got my soup with a small bowl of rice, and it was the perfect amount to finish the soup. The employees are super kind and very attentive. We tried to put ourselves on the waiting list on the tablet in the front of the restaurant, and an employee noticed my sister and I and sat us right away. The employees and the trainee would constantly refill our waters, check in on us, and ask if we needed anything. They also said goodbye to us when we left. The restaurant is placed in a huge parking lot so there should be no trouble finding parking. The restaurant isn't very big, it's kind of small. However, the restaurant is very clean and bright. If you have family members that hate dark restaurants, bring them here. I would come here again and continue to order the # 6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup. It's just become my go-to order at Boiling Point

It's been sooooo long since I've had BP. I always go to Ranch but didn't know this was even here. We went to eat on a Sunday around 7:30pm. No online waitlist so you just write your name and party size on the clipboard. It took us about 20 mins to get seated. Come early to skip the line, or grab boba nearby because it could take a while. There was a new flavor that came out. Talked to the waitress about it, tried it, and didn't like it. It's the green pepper one where it's ma la spicy. I hate that taste. I didn't ask to switch it out or anything, but what helped out was when the staff would come around and refill your broth. That helped dilute it and made it edible for me. Next time I'll order something else.

Do u have a private room for 12-15 people?

They do not. The restaurant itself is not very large. Accommodating 12-15 in general might be difficult.

    Do you accept reservations?

They do not accept reservations! They have a tablet in the front of the restaurant that you must check-in on to put yourself on the waiting list.

And prefer it over many other Asian cuisines.* The reason I chose M's Kitchen over two other Taiwanese restaurants in the area? So many more vegetable dishes! And wow, am I completely grateful I did! We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the server and chef were both in the kitchen. The server came over and gave us menus before getting our drink orders. She was prompt in a very caring manner without ever seeming rushed. She had lots of suggestions as we asked questions about the menu. At some point, the chef was sitting with us, and she asked him clarifying questions for us. She even went back into the kitchen to find out which vegetables were the freshest (which I appreciated)! We ordered a cup of ginseng and goji berry chicken soup, chicken cream corn soup (with egg), ong choy with garlic, walnut shrimp, crispy tofu, and green scallion pancake. As each dish came out, it felt like different instruments in an orchestra being highlighted as they wove into the tapestry of the music. The ong choy built onto the soup, the crispy tofu onto the ong choy and soup, and so on! Until there was this grand harmony of pulsating flavors and textures! I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could eat more and faster! The server helped us to pack the leftovers. We spoke about how traditional Chinese and Taiwanese food get lost in the mix of more modern and fusion recipes and restaurants. I am also a loving fan of mom and pop dining because it reminds me of the many meals I have been gifted by the parents of friends and friends who have opened their homes and hearths to feed and nourish me in my life. I love feeling like I am visiting someone's family and sharing a meal together. This is how M's Kitchen felt for me! I am planning how many meals I can have here and who I can invite to experience the deliciousness soon! Please consider visiting! Even if you haven't tried Taiwanese food yet, this is a wonderful spot to start with!

The tomato side reminds me of this tomato egg that we eat often. The century egg tofu was delicious. The tofu had a great texture -- soft, creamy, but also dense. The sauce that it came with was sweet, salty, and garlicky. The century egg was good. The winter melon tea was light on ice, well-balanced, and not too sweet. Overall, giving Formosan Restaurant a 5/5. Wish we started coming here sooner. Staff are nice, service is quick, prices are great, and the food is delicious. Service is impressively fast, the interior is cute and serene, and the team is incredibly courteous. Special shoutout to Enoch for making the visit even better. Quick, satisfying, and worth the stop every time.
