What blew me away was their Salgogi Sullung Tang that came with the entree. It was super rich, flavorful, and hearty. The bottle of soju was highly affordable at $10. Another close friend of mine was heading over to attend the latter part of the service, so she met up with me for lunch. She ordered the beef rib soup and she loved it. The broth was strained well, but had a lot of depth and flavor. The banchans were good, too. I would come back to this place if I'm in the area or if another celebration of life happens. If it's your first time remember that the soup is unseasoned and you add sea salt, located table side, based on your preference. I came in on a Saturday night and they were a bit busy as they seemed short staffed that night. The man I assumed was the owner said that his waiter had some sort of emergency and called out so he seemed pretty overwhelmed. With that, the service was still fast and he was able to refill my banchan multiple times and check in on me. I ordered the ox knee soup and even with the rush and staffing issue it came out quick enough. The soup was very rich and flavorful. The pieces of meat were not as big as I'm used to but it tasted great. Even at full price of $17.99 it's worth it. Soup had thin slices of tender beef and glass noodles. You can get rice noodles if you prefer. I've had sullungtang at several restaurants specializing in it and this broth has been my favorite. Service was inviting and checked with me a few times if I needed refills on anything. I love the sullung tang- it has a wonderful broth flavor and a good portion of mixed meat, tripe, & cartilage. I usually find other places to have salty sullung-tang but here...I really appreciate being able to control the salt content myself so I don't add salt and enjoy the broth as is. The beef bulgogi was also tasty without being overly marinated compared to other places. We also enjoyed the small assortment of side dishes. I would definitely come back since it's now become one of my favorite places to have Sullung-tang.
