Coming from Jackson Heights, Queens, it took me 5 subway trains to get there. Last stop Saratoga station on the 3 train, then a 20 mins walk The service was medium busy when we ordered around 3;45 pm-ish. We took table at the center area. Sadly on the table on our right, they had a ceiling leak which they had two buckets to catch the water drips. I believe the spicy buffalo sauce totally made the Chicken Tender much better. I liked that there was a non-sweetened Ice Tea drink. I also ordered a Peach Cobbler for my dessert. I ate at Raising Canes when it opened in JH last month. I was actually impressed with their chicken fingers but was expensive for the meal combo. Bojangles is more affordable on price points. Their bathroom was clean which I gave them an A- for. I'll give Bojangles another try this summer to give my final verdict. read more

As a fan of Bojangles since childhood in Virginia, I was excited to see we got here in New York, I went by and noticed that there's no actual, bone-in chicken being sold.... only biscuits, sides, and tenders. So I stuck with my favorite breakfast order, the Cajun filet biscuit combo with fries. I was pleasantly surprised by the strawberry iced tea, its delicious. The fries were crispy, and piping hot with just the right amount of seasoning.The biscuit itself was okay and the chicken filet was like a 'ghost kitchen' version of the regular restaurants. read more

I've never had Bojangles before, but I've heard positive things about it in the South. My initial impression is that it tastes like the kind of food you might get at Yankee Stadium. It has a very crispy, heavily seasoned flavor and texture, and my fries were noticeably soggy. The food leans salty, and I am told that the cooks salt them by hand. I can understand why Raising Cane's keeps its chicken lightly seasoned and relies more on sauces. Bojangles offers a variety of sauces as well. At this location, only chicken fingers and sandwiches are available. I expected it to be more like Popeyes, like I could have got breast, thighs, drums, etc. But it feels more like a Southern fried Nathan's Famous that cost more than it should. The service was okay. A cashier named Skyler was helpful and nice while assisting me with my selection. I know some people have had concerns about Bojangles opening in the area, but realistically it does not pose much of a threat to the nearby McDonald's or Burger King. Drive Thru was extremely long. Saturday afternoon. Service felt rush. Wait time was more than 15 minutes. My tender was freshly made nice and hot but I didn't enjoy my biscuits so much. It's been years since I had Bojangles but was intrigued to try them again when I heard they were coming to Brooklyn. We opted to go on MLK day to avoid the lines and we were right! There were maybe 5 ppl in the line inside the store so we opted to get a table first. There are about 10 to 12 tables. We tried a few different items. We ordered the following: bo berry biscuits, chicken biscuit, steak biscuit, bo's chicken sandwich combo, tenders combo, peach cobbler, bo's house salad with grilled chicken, baked mac & cheese, dirty rice, bo berry cookies and the iced tea. We waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes for our order which is understanable . By that time the line had grown but we had a table so we weren't worried. The items arrived but just a few slight changes needed to be made but staff was uderstanding and helpful. For instance, we ordered the salad without bacon and they gave us bacon. We ordered the chicken biscuit and it wasn't a chicken biscuit. Safe to say customer service was great. With the issues out the way we finallly try the food. Our favorite item was the chicken buiscuit and the huse salad with grilled chicken! Delish. Would order them everytime. To round out the top 3, the bo berry cookies. Every ingrdiedient in the sald was bomb especially the seasoned grilled chicken. My least favorite items were the iced tea and the mac n cheese. The tea simply wasn't good to me but my friend loved it. The mac n cheese lacked flavore. The dirty rice was ok but would probably try it again for good measure. The tenders and chicken sandwhich was fine, no complaints. The fries were good but a tinge too salty but not th worst. Definitely get the bbo berry biscuit, can't go wrong with that and it also reheats nicely. The peach cobbler is ok but was so stuffed and just had 2 bites. When I heard this was coming to my neck(ish) of the woods, I got excited. I love fried chicken and biscuits when done right, and while Popeye's is always reliable, it's nice to have an alternative. I purchased two biscuits, a mac and cheese, fried chicken and grilled chicken all for delivery. The grilled chicken sandwich was good if plain and not the least bit spicy. I appreciated the quality of the chicken. Hardly any tough spots. No sauce, so good for dieters. I got a peach honey pepper sauce on the side but that did not knock me out. The biscuit was also good but I think Popeye's is better. It just was not as buttery as I hoped it would be. Fried chicken? THAT is where they shine. Very high quality, though not especially spicy. The bag smelled amazing as I brought it to my apartment and that was the aroma of the fried chicken. The mac and cheese is better than KFC, more baked in cheese flavor, but you could probably skip it. Overall? I may repurchase the fried chicken. The rest was all quality but nothing living up to the enormous hype of their PR machine. If I lived nearby? I probably would come more often. For delivery? First off, the app was glitchy, and would not accept a perfectly good debit card. That proved to be annoying. Second, the app tells you that your food is ready sooner than it's actually ready, leading me to stand there for 3-5 minutes waiting for it. (not mad at that as the restaurant is new and it takes time to work the kinks out) The Chicken Sandwich was sizeable and decent, not particularly better than Jollibee's, Pollo Campero, or 98k. I would definitely order it again though. However, I lost money on the fries, which are not reasonably priced @$5.09 for a medium. They were overly salty and became inedible. They seem like they would have been decent if not a sodium bomb. Being my first time, I cannot say if they regularly come that way, or if you can ask to have unsalted. Also, they sat there in the bag waiting on the sandwich, which EVERY SECOND YOU'RE you're not eating them they are growing colder, so not cool. Wouldn't mind having that $5 back. Overall, nice, bright, clean, new spot, which I would recommend, as the chicken is decent. Do make sure your fries aren't salty. read more

I've been here a couple of times since my last review and feel in hindsight that only giving two stars was a little bit harsh. That would've suggested that Bojangles was below average, which isn't the case. It's still okay. The place is clean and you get your orders in time. Food is relatively good. Not amazing, but okay. The service has improved somewhat; I now get sauces with my order. However, the biscuit in my last order was really sour. Order taking still needs a little work. My sister stood around for ages waiting to get our orders taken as an employee kept filling them. It wasn't until I noticed the kiosks behind us that made me realize that this place seems to prioritize kiosk orders over in-person or maybe is so used to customers using a kiosk that employees are oblivious if you want to order in-person. Either way, it was rather unfortunate but I don't blame an employee if they're so used to people buying via kiosks or pickup up app orders. read more

I've had a lot of different chicken from various restaurants. This is by far the best. When taste better than the time I had it down south. Fast service and the store is well situated for seating and standing in line. I went twice in the first week. Got to control myself to not go to often. Def won't be having Popeyes any more since this store opened. read more

Ok ! So the real scoop. Coming From an Nc Raised boy . The chicken biscuit hit like i remember It hitting . Lil less spice than my memory holds but still great . U can see the red under there batter . Chicken strips , honestly my first time having them . They were good but not great. My main issue was where is the rest of the menu!!!!??? Why was there no fried bone in chicken . And where are all the rest of the sides ? Glad to see dirty rice , which by the way tastes cheaper than i remember It tasting . .
