My MX-5 would not start. Not a sound, not any lights, and definitely no turning over of my engine. I just knew it was my ignition system because the new battery I bought from Batteries Plus was only 7 months old (purchased 8/24/2025). I tried my new jumper cables and got no change. Could not lock or unlock the doors with the key fob or touch. The car was a brick. So I saved up because I just knew it was something in the ignition system Made my appointment to go in and to arrange for my car to be towed in. Tow truck driver uses his jumper box. After a few minutes, he hits the brakes! Driver side door is open and I hear the chimes! And then he hit the ignition and my car cranked like nothing ever happened! The tow truck driver said my alternator was good but the battery was shot. He followed me to the shop to make sure I got there as my car had sat for about 2 months. I gave my thoughts on what I thought was not working. Same day (6/17/2026) imagine my shock that after my diagnostic check, it was the battery. Not only is it dead, but its leaking!!!! I was told not to touch it because we all know its acid. I found my receipt for Batteries Plus and was told my warranty wasn't valid. Let known my thoughts on this on their site here on Yelp. Anyway, thank you to the friendly staff and technicians at Boktor Motors. I really appreciate their patience with me getting my vehicles there. I even showed them their own advertised pricing with dealer fees included, and they still would not stand behind it. Felt like a bait and switch just to get attention on the listing. Kenia was the one communicating with me and she was respectful throughout the process, but management handled everything poorly. After all the back and forth, they ended up selling the van out from under me anyway. Be careful dealing with this dealership and make sure you get everything in writing before wasting your time. I have brought my Maserati GranTurismo MC for an oil change on Monday at 4 PM ,thinking that this is an easy job and it will be quick. But I have realized that this place doesn't care about customers or about cars they service. I was absolutely shocked how everything has gone wrong. I was not planning to write this one star review, but after Receiving a bad customer service, poor quality of mechanical work ,that was so simple :an oil change, and replacing an air filter for the engine compartment, which was not installed properly and now I have this code P2187 which caused a check engine light to come on. They did not even cleared an oil service light after performing an oil change , because they didn't care enough to try to connect computer. My $50 OBD reader AutoLink is reading without any issues, and they have told me that my car has bad OBD connector ( which obviously works fine since I was able to read the code). Also, service writer Joey was nice at the beginning and later on after they were done with my car he was not nice anymore, even my wife has asked me "what is his problem ?" After we have asked him for the WiFi password. He seemed to be so irritated just for being there working. If he is unhappy working there then he should quit, because there are so many people who would be more than happy to have his job. I need the owner to contact me and rectify this issue. Bought a vehicle from these guys and 6 months later I took it in for the "complimentary service" that they give you for 1 year which is only an oil change btw. Come to find out they never changed the oil or oil filter. I found out because I Took it to my mechanic afterwards and he said the oil and oil filter were really dirty and never changed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I will also make sure to tell everyone I know and they can tell everyone they know to stay away from this place. This business attempted to have us release funds by asking us to "cut them a check" outside of the proper DMV lienholder process. They requested a fully prepared check made payable directly to them, without providing documentation or any written assurance that the vehicle would be released to us afterward. We have purchased four vehicles in our lifetime and have never encountered a business operating in this manner. Our bank explicitly warned us to stay away, yet we still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by asking questions and attempting to work through the process. Instead, we were met with dismissive and unprofessional responses from management, including being told that "there's always a first time to be treated poorly, and this is yours." I drove a little farther than I normally would to look at this car. I first found it on Autotrader and then checked your website to confirm it was still listed as available. Since it was, I decided to make the trip to your dealership today. When I arrived, I was told the car was not there and would need to be located at a different dealership. There was no apology or sense of urgency -- just that it wasn't on site. I would have appreciated something as simple as, "I'm sorry about that, please have a seat and we'll get the car here for you as quickly as possible." Instead, I left feeling like my time didn't matter. From my perspective, it felt very close to a bait-and-switch situation, which is unfortunate. You understand that Customer Service should be your top priority, right? This was not the in case during my first, only, and now highly likely, last visit here. Wasn't even able to view any of the cars that were online, it was either not on the lot or "wait here and I'll get someone to help you look at them because I have an appointment in with another customer in 5 mins." Terrible experience! Bought the car on September 21st, it didn't move on the 22nd, on the 23rd, it was broke down leaking gasoline everywhere. Told them it was unsafe to drive or even have parked in the garage due to the massive fuel leak. They said the would arrange for transportation. I didn't hear from them until the 28th. Due to the dangerous condition we had to take it to a reputable technician. $3200.00 in parts and labor. Sent them an email requesting assistance, no response. All, Please cancel the transport for our vehicle. With the amount of gasoline it was leaking, we felt it was not safe to even have it parked in our garage and it definitely was not drivable. As you can see from the attached report it has multiple issues that were causing fuel to leak excessively. I understand the warranty required the vehicle to be repaired at your location, but with the unsafe condition we needed it taken care of immediately. After reviewing the report and speaking with the technician we are very lucky the vehicle made it to Saint George without breaking down and catching on fire. You have an opportunity to do the right thing and reimburse us for the cost of these repairs. I'll assume no response constitutes a refusal to stand behind your product and your name and business reputation. read more

They lied about inspecting this vehicle. I will take part blame for not having an independent mechanic look at it, but you don't expect a dealer to flat out lie to your face when you've specifically asked them if they have inspected the transmission and suspension. After getting it inspected the day after I bought it, Mercedes gave me an estimated repair bill of $13,000 for suspension-related issues and motor mounts. They refused to respond to certified mail. They will not return calls or man up in anyway. And if anyone from the dealer is reading this, I haven't forgotten about small claims court. I don't like to spend a lot of money on vehicles, which now affords me the opportunity to spend as much as I want to drag you through court. I am cheap. I'm not broke. The salesman Fabrice also informed me not to mention that my wife is Chinese because "the owner doesn't like Chinese people." read more

Purchased/financed my car thru BOKTOR in FEB 2023. 2 years later and I ended up trading it in to get a 2018 Kia Soul, while I was still making payments on it. Yes, I wanted to get out of payments for the car they sold which was bad from the beginning. It was financed thru Capital One. They sold me a 2016 Mini Cooper Countryman S model Turbo engine, with fake JCW (John Cooper Works) emblems on it. Imagine that! I get to the dealer to get an appraisal on the Mini, and they tell me it is not a JCW. So the value of the car went down about 2K. Great! So now a higher down payment is required, and higher new monthly payment. So they sold me a Mini with a bad engine too. It had a loud roaring noise and the salesman said " oh that's just because its a turbo engine" Ok. The car was driving fine, just that noise. Turns out it was a bad transfer case/differential and it cost me $4000 to fix! How could the mechanics at Boktor approve this car to sell ?? Who checked it out? So a car I just bought needed a major repair within 1 week of owning it. Nice. Within the 2 years I owned it, it needed a brand new battery. A battery that costs $500!!! Yes . Minis are expensive to maintain, BMW parts, but that is terrible. ! An oil change.$140 Synthetic only! And also a brake fluid flush. $300. I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. Car was at 72K miles. I made the right decision and traded it for a much more reliable and cheaper to maintain 2018 Kia Soul with 40K (low miles). I had a Kia before, and felt I made the right decision to ditch the Mini. It was a mistake getting one. A very expensive mistake! If you get a car from BOKTOR, do yourself a favor and have it checked out by another mechanic somewhere else before signing the dotted line. I give this place one star because they didn't run off with our car, but truly they deserve no stars. We had to bring our car here because it was the closest auto shop around and we couldn't drive our car too far. Their price point was way more than what our usual mechanic told us it should cost, which was the first red flag. They gave us the diagnostic results and told us what needed to be fixed, and then 5 days and an additional night in a hotel later they told us we needed additional work done. We got our car back and now we are having electrical issues. Our gas gauge doesn't work, our car locks aren't working, and who knows what else. They did not take responsibility even though none of this was included as issues or concerns in the initial diagnostic report. This is not a place of honesty and integrity. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Get it towed somewhere else! read more

This place is the king of catfishing. I went into looking at a Jeep Cherokee that looked very nice online. I called before I went in and talked to Dirty Dave. Dave is a very frumpy man with little to no interest in selling vehicles. I called at 3 in the evening, and they closed at 5. I was planning on paying cash for the vehicle, so I did not think this was an unreasonable amount of time. Dave however sounded fairly distraught about having to show me a vehicle that late in the afternoon. I arrived at approximately 315 and Dirty Dave is nowhere to be found. I can't confirm this, but my assumption is he was playing with himself in the bathroom or some other manor of not working. I proceeded to show myself around the showroom where I discovered most of the vehicles in this place look like they have been involved in accidents. Bumpers falling off, miss aligned, or just generally junk vehicles. This came as a surprise because in the photos online they look to be in good shape. Nev from MTV's hit TV show Catfish should do some of his detective work on this place. I would love to know how they are allowed to sell cars in such ridiculous shape. Back to the jeep I was interested in, it too looked nothing like the online pics. The rear tires were well below the legal tread depth and when I asked Dirty Dave if they were going to be changed, he said "no". I then asked if the price would be lowered if I bought the vehicle so I could bring the vehicle back into the neighborhood of safe and legal with new tires and you guessed it "no". Long story short Dave said they will sell every vehicle on the lot this tax season and he didn't care if he sold me a vehicle or not. do not let this happen and make these crooks go out of business. The community will be safer without these vehicles on the road in my opinion. Save your time and money and stay away from this place. P.S the more I think about it I don't think it was motor oil on Daves hands. Shake at your own risk. read more

Went in here to get a smog check. Smog went great saw that they had free inspections so asked if they could take a look at my vehicle since I just made a roadtrip from fl to vegas. First they seemed hesitant until I pointed out to the sign that said " free inspection on brakes,oil , & something else. Guy that looked at it said everything is ok except the serpentine belt. He said I had to change it IMMEDIATELY that it wouldn't last much longer, I mean he really made it seem like my car was about to give out. They quoted me a total of $215. Part $71.38 with them went to oreily and part was $28.99. It took my stepdad 15min to install it. Which I only replaced because I had already bought the part but I DID NOT have to. Attached is a picture of the serpentine belt in my car in GREAT condition. What I'm trying to say is STAY AWAY from this overpriced ripe off of a place. Sad because it's super close to my house and thought I had found a good mechanic shop, since it difficult to find one, especially if you're a woman. read more

I went into this place with a check in my hand ready to buy a car. It's a joke. One guy was quitting, while the sales guy was nice and limped around the property with me. Somebody should really get him like a electronic scooter or something because he was very personable but can't walk. He doesn't have the best sales acumen however, because he received a phone call and was Face dealing with a phone call when they had a potential sale standing in front of them. When I finally did want to check out the interior of one of their vehicles, the guy busted out a box full of 200 keys. He didn't know which key went to which vehicle. Literally this is the first thing you do if you're going to sell cars......like open it for a potential customers. Free business tip....organize the keys to the cars that you're selling. Don't waste your time. There's a reason that they have such great deals. It's a nightmare to even think about buying a car from them and I already took my business elsewhere. This place hasn't even claimed their listing on yelp...What do you think you're going to get from this shady mess of a "business"??? PS- To the guy that makes all the selling decisions, the owner or general manager with no personality that was sitting in the middle of the building not being friendly to me... You better get yourself into an office and lock the door and do not come out. You have zero customer skills. Nothing quite says "run for your life" like walking into this business. Bought a used 2019 Ford Mustang with 16,000 miles, i did test drive it and it drove but the shifter seemed a bit rough but I knew the manual mt82 transmission is not the greatest and thought it was just normal. Took the car to get lowered when I was that the car had some sort of transmission issue. Took it in to the Ford dealership and had the car checked out. Ford advised me that the clutch was destroyed and it cost me $4,000 to repair. I'm sorry but a vehicle with 16,000 miles should have no issues especially when I put $20,000 down on the car. Should have known something was up when a fairly new car with 16,000 miles is being sold as is and no warranty. I have the receipt from the team Ford Dealership with what I had to pay, but I doubt I will get compensated for that read more

This has probably by far the worst place you can get a car from. As an ex employee I know that the inspection is kept to a minimum so they don't have to pay for nothing. If it gets you by for just a little while they will sell it to you. Technicians there recommend all sorts of work on the cars coming in from auction, but the work gets denied except for maybe an oil change or adding freon. The wheels don't even get pulled so the brakes can be looked at. All I can say is the owner is a cheapskate and the service manager, and office manager both follow suit. Your brakes might be good one day, but gone the next and Boktor motors does not care about your problems. Worst place ever to buy a car, so be smart and shop some place else.
