Great service, delicious food, good portions, all at standard prices. At about $12 a dish for dinner, my friend and I tried the fish masala and the chicken tikka masala. Generous portions of meat and fish, and a great sauce that didn't have grease floating atop like many of the cheaper Indian diners (not hating since I love the fatty versions too, just noticing the difference in quality). Garlic naan and rice were also very good and served in the same large portions so that you won't have to worry about running out before your curry is finished. I've been to this place many times and usually get the following: Chicken Tikka Chicken Tika Masala Tomato and Cucumber Salad Garlic Naan Polau Rice Everything is really good and filling. I would say this is good for 3 people and with tax and tip ends up at about $45...not bad at all. We stopped by around 5:30 on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty. The server who helped us was friendly and our takeout was ready in around 15. We got the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. The chicken tikka masala with medium spice had a slight kick but wasn't too spicy. The only thing you need to know is they have good food at this place. Every Friday night, my company buys all the employees dinner and we ended up ordering from here. I got the lamb curry (mild), some basmati rice, and some garlic naan. So delicious! The curry was great, however I wished I had gotten it spicy. The rice didn't hold up so well to delivery. The naan got kind of soggy from delivery but it was still amazingly good. I love the Korma and the, don't laugh, Aloo Gobi without the Aloo, I don't need the carbs especially with rice. The Tandoori Chicken is delicious too. My only problem is the prices soon high. I know I'm not in my favorite Benaris hole in the wall restaurant or a Mumbai old faithful. It's just high priced. I love these as they seem baked rather than deep fried. You will not regret it. I have not tried the meat stuffed ones, but I bet they are just as good. 2) Sag Aloo: 5 stars. This is a potato and spinach dish prepared with herbs. It has that exquisite masala flavour that would delight the toughest food connoisseur.​ Generous portions. I got two meals out of it, and I have quite an appetite. 3) Chicken Tikka: 5/4 stars. I did not try this personally but my boyfriend's incomprehensible mutterings as he wolfed it down, was all the evidence I needed to know that he was thoroughly​ enjoying his meal. I consider myself the world's foremost authority on Indian cuisine. No, I don't. I'm actually a Jewish guy from NY who loves Indian cuisine but doesn't have it often enough. We've lived in Studio City for 7 years, and typically we we crave Indian food we go to Lal Mirch, which is excellent. But tonight, the night after Christmas, we were in sweatpants and slippers and decided we didn't want to cook so we ordered online to take out. We ordered Sag Paneer (hot), Shrimp Vindaloo (hot) and Lamb Cyrry (medium). The order was ready when I came to pick it up. When I walked in the place reminded me of a typical inexpensive spot on 6th Street in the East Village. Everything was perfect, spiced according to our requests. Very reasonably priced, food was good, order was perfectly taken and on time. Definitely will order again and one of these days even come in for dinner. I typically go with the fantastic coconut shrimp curry and fire chicken tikka masala with garlic nan bread on the side.
