Yes my rating will be A-OK. It was very good food, but the service was very slow. A glass of Iced Tea took a while to finally make it to the table. We ordered four different plates to share and the Nan bread. No complaints there the bread was good. The Lamb, Shrimp and Chicken made with the Tandorri seasoning made it spicy but easy to eat. Chicken was a little dry, and the shrimp just a bit overcooked. The lamb was great. They get theirs from New Zealand. As for the location, the restaurant validated the parking ticket. The parking garage was tight, a small car would be a better bet to use. The decor was a bit dated and it could use be good coat of paint and cleaning. More Wait help would do to. Poor girl was swamped, thankfully one of the guy behind the counter came out to serve food too. It's a small place and the signs outside going to the restaurants shows both the old name of the place(Monsoon) and the new name(Bombay). I come back to this place for good Indian food - again and again. The quality of the ingredients feel fresh and the kitchen looks clean. You can look straight into the kitchen which I always like so no grubbiness can be hiding ;) Every single time I've been here the service have been very good. after being in Hawaii for over two weeks we started to crave Indian food being that we're Indian I will say the food was really good my only issue was the lack of service they seem to be shorthanded and wasn't very organized as far as seating everyone. The waiter never came to our table after our food came to check on us I had to ask someone else for our bill this seems to be a pattern for most Indian restaurants. The food is good but the ability to run the place is not! If they improve their service quality, this place would be so great! The four stars are definitely for the food! I try not to let reviews, bad or good, cloud my judgment. After all, the only important review is my own. I did read the disturbing responses from the owner of Bombay Palace to a couple of reviews. It almost stopped me from ordering again but I had fallen in love with the Gulab Jamun from my first order and truthfully, BP is the only restaurant on Bite Squad that offers that. And hey, I get it. Mr. Khan is proud of his restaurant and has a right to defend it. I just hope he realizes he could end up alienating future customers. This time around I ordered Palek Paneer. Another first for me and I knew I would love it because I love Spinach and I love cheese. I also tried the Tandoori wings and decided I really don't care for it. Nothing wrong, just not for me. Of course, I had the cheese naan again and Gulab Jamun. Undergoing medical treatment so I don't get out much but I hope to visit this restaurant soon! read more

Amazing food, fantastic service. Upstairs in the little-known, random shops of the Discovery Bay center is an absolute hidden treasure. Averaging $18.95/plate, you have reason for high expectations, but I promise you they will be met. I had the lamb Rogan Josh and every part of the meal was excellent, from the lamb to the basmati rice, from the service, to the atmosphere. If you just want cheap body fuel, then by all means, hit McDonalds or Subway. But if you want to explore flavors and actually enjoy a quality meal prepared by an expert, seek no further than Bombay Palace. It's not flashy, it's real. read more

BEST Indian food in Oahu. I'm a very enthusiastic Indian food fan and have dined at Indian restaurants all over the world. Also, Kind people are running this place. We live here in Hawaii and enjoyed our first meal here tonight after seeking out the best Indian food on Oahu. As far as I'm concerned we have found it. I looked at the reviews prior to going and I did read many of the negative ones... but we did not have any of those types of experiences. I'm glad I did not base my decision on those reviews as I don't think they were accurate as to what we experienced. I can't speak to those individual experiences but from my experience the positive reviews listed here are much more reflective and truthful about the quality of the food service and the staff. Everybody was so kind and pleasant and the food was excellent. The portions were rather large (3 entrees for two people is more than enough if not too much food) and the service was very timely and presented in a clean and appealing way. So fresh and tasty! Overall it was a great experience and we plan to make this a regular part of our dining out. I think they deserve a much higher star rating and hope that others who are getting lucky enough to experience this great restaurant also start to leave positive reviews as well. read more

The food was very tasty, authentic. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, lamb biryani ,dahl , plenty of nan. Super friendly staff, clean operation. They were very accommodating with our spicy levels and family friendly as well. I recommend the tikka, that was our favorite. The food is average in taste and is very much the orange curries you find elsewhere. Service is average as well, with water not being refilled after many minutes. We were the only customer so no excuse for slow service. They also add 18% gratuity for parties less than 6, so just be aware. If you are in desparate need of Indian food then go there, else totally passable food. Quantity of food was sufficient with about 2 curries good enough for 3 people. For some reason they do not allow you to only order appetizers or other items, and you must order an entree. The ambience is dated, chairs have fairly visible wear on fabric. Plates and cups even for same table may not match. They have presence on the island so thats good to have an option. Parking entrance is via the back alley, so drive around and get in the very tight spaced parking lot. Take elevator to mall level. Remember to get parking validated, even with that it would cost a buck or two (not bad). read more

Solid option if you want some light Indian food. I would be aware of pricing, as it may seemed stretched for what they give. The food is very tasty, better than any other Indian restaurants in the area. The place and ambience are subpar though. Place looks somewhat dull but it is spacious and does not feel cramped.
