Ate twice at Bombo this weekend because it was the most convenient place to go to during a volleyball tournament happening at the Convention center. First time went with a large group. I liked the Spring green salad which I more than I liked their Funghi pizza. Service was ok, but I know is hard to cater to a big group. The second time I went alone, sat at the bar (service was again just ok), had the beets and a side of chicken and it was very good. Only three stars because the service is just OK and I thought for the portion size it was pretty expensive, especially the salad and chicken.also they have a mandatory 20% service fee

Did you know this restaurant offers Lime helmets as an official location to pick up helmets? Now you do. I happened to stop in during happy hour and found myself sitting down eating the best mushroom pizza in Seattle. The made in house ginger drink was well balanced with ginger and fizz. The pizza is one of my favorites. Crunchy crust, balanced cheeses and great mushrooms. I came in the front and all tables were currently reserved. That didn't stop me from finding a seat at the bar. Lovely restaurant with so many options.

Pros: + Large portions + Amazing pizza options - I really loved the funghi + Happy Hour - 3-6 pm Mondays to Fridays (yes some of the pizzas are also on the Happy Hour List) Cons: - Expensive for the quality you're getting FYI: In lieu of a tip the total price you pay has a 20% surcharge (on top of listed menu prices) that is automatically added if you dine in. The staff explicitly tell you this before you sit down. IG: AndTheNextAdventureBegins

I was going to a show at the Paramount and wanted to grab a quick bite beforehand. Bombo is conveniently located across the street in the convention center, so I decided to try it out. We arrived during happy hour and there were a few small discounts off food and drink, so we ordered a variety of things to share. We ordered the focaccia bread (fluffy, well seasoned and lightly crispy on the outside), the calamari (fried well and with a little bit of spice - possibly from the aioli), the cacio e Pepe (richer and creamier than I expected but really flavorful and I loved the addition of mushrooms) the Bombo pizza. The pizza was probably my least favorite, only because the toppings would slide off if you tried to pick it up, and the crust was a little flimsy, so it was definitely a fork and knife situation. Service was attentive and the food came out fairly quickly, so I would definitely come back here before another show!

Went here for dinner before a show at the Paramount. Nice decor, and warm on a cold night. Server was friendly. Focaccia appetizer, ordered drinks. Two of us ordered pizzas, one ordered a pasta dish. Drinks took a surprisingly long time to appear - well after the appetizer. My pizza came out cold, as in, hardened cheese, cold plate, cold. And covered in arugula that wasn't wilted, so someone put it on the cold pizza. Once I got the server's attention he replaced it, but given the short time frame it really took away from the experience. All in all, the kitchen / bar staff were slow or off, and the service didn't pay attention to our needs or what they were bringing out. They have a prime location, but it was disappointing for the experience.

Great location for Paramount-goers. Food was solid. A no-tipping policy? Shocking, but this is the way the world should be in my opinion. Chicken Caesar was perfectly portioned and chicken was tender and moist. Rigatoni was good. Pizza was acceptable- the crust was the best part. Possibly a bit too greasy for a slice (some people LIKE this!) and the cheese wasn't a favorite. This pizza info was from a fellow diner in our party. Restaurant was surprisingly non-busy for a concert night.

My wife and I went for happy hour and had a great time. Ordered: $12 old fashioned - very tasty honestly. $18 happy hour pizzas - I got the pepperoni with hot honey, delicious. My wife is gluten free and dairy free, they had options to accommodate which is great. The space is huge in the lobby of the Seattle Convention Center, honestly a vibrant spot.

I went here with a few friends for happy hour to make use of the final days of InKind 2x referral bonus, as this is one of several restaurants that are in the network. It is overall not busy, with plenty of walk-in seating even at 7pm when we left. We got the Bombo pizza, Walla Walla pizza, Salame Piccante pizza, roasted beets, a glass of house red wine, and espresso cream cannoli dessert. Happy hour makes the pizza $18 which is a reasonable amount, since I would not find it worth paying $23-25 for a pizza during normal hours. The regular pizza dough is decent, and the gluten free pizza dough ($3 surcharge per pizza) is a bit crispy and chewy and it's a nice experience to try getting one with and without gluten free option. The Bombo reminds me of classic New York pizza where there's pepperoni and hot honey, but the hot honey misses the mark as it was not spicy. It's supposedly their signature pizza but while delicious, it did not stand out as I could just pay $4 for a generous slice of this type of pizza in NYC and would not notice a huge difference. Walla Walla is a nice mushroom pizza with egg though scrambled so it is not visible. I always love caramelized onion so I enjoyed this one. I'd say this is #1 given it is a bit more innovative than the Bombo pizza. Salame Piccante is quite peppery with the salami and pickled vegetables, and the pickled vegetables are not too sour to drown out the other flavors. My friend enjoyed it but I don't like pickled stuff so this ranks #3 for the pizza choices we got. Roasted beets were fresh, though I'm not a fan of beets so I cannot comment beyond that. Espresso cream cannoli was bad. The shell is stale and the espresso cream was not too strong in flavor. Service is pretty poor given they mandate a 20% gratuity on all checks. We have to flag and chase the server to put in the order especially when happy hour is approaching conclusion. There is not much checking up during the meal but at least they gave us water refills by the bottle.

This was a great place to spend time before a show at the Paramount. Arrived without a reservation on a Thursday night and was told the upstairs area was booked, but the downstairs was open for 21+ patrons without issue. We ordered off the happy hour menu and loved the hot honey bombo pizza and drink options which were tasty and just the right strength. The winter greens salad was a good balance as well, and filled out the meal but I feel like the squash included could've been a bit more fresh. Overall the vibe and couch seating area was super cute and I'd definitely come back to try it again.

Went here before a show at paramount and was a bit odd bc we went upstairs to get a table and it seemed pretty empty with like 80% empty but they said they were full and we had to go downstairs to their bar to get, guessing bc of reservations. Was a bit suprised bc we got there at like 5:20 trying to get happy hour. We were promptly seated downstairs and ordered off the happy hour menu. Service was very nice and fast and the vibe downstairs was actually pretty cool. Overall all the stuff we ordered was good, the pizza was very good and I felt like sharing a pizza and a salad between two was perfect amount of food for us. I like the pizza a lot and it was a good deal on the menu, I thought the salad was a bit bitter and there wasn't that much squash in it and a bit unbalanced. Overall I'd come again, just for the food esp if I had a show nearby as it's a nice place to hang.

This restaurant is located right at the main entrance to the Summit building of the Seattle Convention Center. It has a large patio that opens onto the entry courtyard. I had talked to several people who ate there prior to my visit, and they all said the food was excellent but was very expensive. Quite true. I feel like this isn't just an expense due to convenience, but because the food and service is very good. If you look at the fine print on the menu picture I uploaded, you'll see a statement about how they pay staff and that a 20% gratuity is included in all bills. I went with a friend. We sat at a cute two person table on the patio. The staff did a great job of accommodating for my friend's allergy. We shared an asparagus dip and house-made potato chip appetizer; it was incredibly delicious, but about half our chips were crumbs that were impossible to dip, but when we asked for more chips, the server had more brought out without quibbling. I had the Caesar salad, which was huge and very fresh. I had a local cider from Yonder along with it. My friend had the chicken parmigiana, which was huge. She gave me a piece of her chicken, and it was very good.

I didn't eat at Bombo but I had drinks there. They are located within the Summit building so I walked by a lot, and it looked good. The drinks were very good. The bar has a lot of comfortable seating and the drinks were strong. I think it would be a fun place to meet someone and hang out. You can order food at the bar as well but I was just there for libations.

    Caprese Salad

Let me start by saying we love ESR and Bombo. We come every time we're in town for a show and always tell friends to check it out. But this visit... something was just off, way off. We arrived early (around 11:30 AM) when only one other table was seated and were so excited to enjoy one of our favorite spots before a show. We started with wine and the calamari -- which was quite good. Then came the Caprese salad. It looked beautiful, but that's where it ended. The tomatoes were so mealy they were nearly inedible. We ate maybe a quarter of it. Unfortunately, our server never asked how it was, and when we mentioned it, she was already so busy it barely registered. Next up was the Salsiccia pizza to share. By that point, we were starving, and it came out within about four minutes -- which was telling. The crust wasn't fully cooked, and the heavy layer of cheese overwhelmed everything. They no longer provide scissors for slicing, and the kitchen hadn't cut it all the way through, making it awkward to eat. Service from there was pretty much nonexistent. Such a shame, because we've always raved about this place and have had so many great meals here in the past. We truly hope this was just an off day, but something has definitely changed.

Great view and proximity to the Paramount!

Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes. I'd be open to giving Cascina Spinasse another try in the future, but this visit left me feeling a bit underwhelmed compared to the hype.

You walk in and order at a self-service kiosk, and there are plenty of options to customize your pasta. After ordering, you seat yourself and they call your name when the food is ready. We had no problem finding a table for two. There seemed to be a lot of takeout orders coming through. Both pastas tasted fresh and were cooked al dente, just as advertised. The carbonara was creamy and flavorful. The short rib itself was good, but the pasta and sauce were a bit separated, so the pasta didn't absorb as much flavor as I expected. The cannoli was very filling and had a hint or orange in it. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for quick, customizable pasta. Just keep in mind that it's more of a fast-casual place rather than a full sit-down service restaurant.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.
