The past few times I've came to this location on Marina bay I've not been happy the past 2 times I've came here my food has been made wrong or given to someone else and then today 9/28/2023 I pull up at 8:41pm and they close at 9pm the doors where locked and the 2 male workers in there looked at me and kept cleaning up and what looked like cooking food for themselves, and as I was walking back to my car they kept turning around to see if I was still there. And as I'm typing up this review at 8:48 they turn the lights off and leave. Great way to run a restaurant

This is another of my reviews that disappeared. I wrote this about 6-8-17 and somehow it's gone. I'm not up to doing this complete review again and I've pretty much forgotten how things went anyway, but I know it was a good visit. We were treated courteously and the meatball sandwich was excellent. UPDATE: I've been here three maybe four times now. They've gotten my order wrong and the last time I was there, I walked in at about 11am. One person was ordering and there was no were no other customers. They took my order quickly, then I waited 20 for them to make my sub. Twice I told myself to walk out. When I was trying to figure out how to make my credit card work in their machine the cashier pointed me to a selection of tips amount to add to my bill. I looked at him and said, "After waiting 20 minutes, you can't be serious." I lowered their rating to 3 stars. I would have made it 2 but the sub was good -- not 20 minutes good, but good. I Almost surely won't be back. __ We've eaten out every meal for 30 years

As a self-diagnosed sandwich fanatic, there are few things I love more than a chainy submarine jam-packed with the perfect balance of veggies, cheese, and zesty condiments. I tried Jersey Mike's for the first time on a visit back home to League City, and I was such a fan that I popped back in the next day and grabbed another sub for the road! First things first, I've broken it down to five reasons as to why Jersey Mike's is better than your average sandwich shop. We'll start with the menu, which has got something for everyone--from the vegheads to the meatlovers and everyone in between. You can choose a hot or cold sandwich, and if you choose the former they'll grill your fixins up made to order. No microwaves or toaster ovens, just in-house grilling and sizzling on the spot. Not only is their menu vast, but they have three different sub size options, which is perfect for commitment-phobes who have long been forced to marry that 6 inch sub. The mini is the perfect sized sandwich when you're feeling peckish, the regular is there for you when you're feeling standard hungry, and the giant size has got your back when you're feeling famished. Take that, foot long. Next, on a scale of freshness, Jersey Mike's puts your local Subway to shame. All ingredients are crisp, tasty, and in their prime. Speaking of ingredients, ordering any sandwich Mike's way, with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, spices, and juice is the best way to go for taking your sandwich to the next level. Customer service at this location was also top notch. These dudes were fast, friendly, AND accurate. Take notes, Jimmy John's. Lastly, Jersey Mike's has a customer loyalty program for mega fans of sands like me -- great to know all of those number 14 vegetarians are counting for towards something other than my standard lunch cravings. Get out and try these subs! It's the right thing to do.

Fat Andy's -- First Visit Review…read more Fat Andy's has taken to social media to promote their product, and the posts feature Andrew, who must be our very own Fat Andy. We decided to take an early lunch and head over to Santa Fe to give the place a go. The establishment presents as clean and friendly, with a bit of an unfinished, "there is more to come" vibe. It feels like a good startup should. Andy was manning the counter and seemed to genuinely enjoy engaging with customers as they ordered. He pointed out the specials a few times as we grazed the menu selections. The hot pastrami had its very own sign, so I took that as a sign. I like a good pastrami. We picked out a table and waited for our food. After a short while, we heard our name called and I retrieved the wrapped sandwiches. The missus had the half turkey, and I went with the full-size hot pastrami. Now, before I go too far, my first instinct was to order the monster signature sandwich called "The Fat Andy." I did have that pang of guilt at first, thinking I really didn't want to be Fat Jeff anymore, so I thought better of it. The sandwiches were good. The ingredients were fresh, the lettuce was crisp, and the peppers on my pastrami were absolutely a winner. No disappointment there at all. The portions were healthy, and the side of pasta I chose was spot on with its mix of ingredients and the tang of the dressing. The sandwich bread, or hoagie rolls, were solid and appeared to be fresh. All of that being said, we found Fat Andy's to be a good value. For some critique -- and I go back to not ordering the signature sandwich, which looked from the menu description to have some special touches -- the sandwiches we ordered on this first visit were made with the same type of ingredients one can buy at most deli counters featuring Boar's Head products. The bread was good, but not fancy, and did not seem to contain anything especially unique that made it feel like a signature sandwich experience. Now don't get me wrong. Even with great ingredients, there is skill in putting together a good sandwich, so I am not discounting them on where they source their products. But a true deli sandwich experience requires something that makes the place stand out just a little. Aside from the great personality Andy brings to his customers, the sandwiches on this trip did not make me feel like they stood above most other good deli sandwiches. That said, I live a very short drive from Andy's, and I hope to watch it grow. I also hope to experience more of the fun Andy seems to be having by sharing his food and his creations with the community. I encourage everyone to give Andy a shout and tell him Jeff sent you. And next time, I'm going in for the Fat Jeff... Uhh, I meant to say "The Fat Andy."

Sub was good, not as great as the Texas city location, but still a quality sub. The issue was the service. Never have I ever experienced such rudeness from staff. Walking in (again, for the first time) I am greeted with a "what do you want" yell. I thought he was joking or messing around at first, but no, dude was serious. I give my order and try to pay. Another yell from him "you pay after you eat" ok, that works, too. All the while, the two other guys on duty are groaning about not having enough time to prepare for the day, complaining about customers on Saturdays, and more. I'm all for hole in the wall, simple no frills dining, but this place had an overall terrible, terrible vibe. I finish eating and go to pay. Guy barks orders at me on how to tap my card. I try different attempts, finally the card reader shows an error. Dude yells at me "LISTEN, OR THAT WILL HAPPEN". Turns out, his WiFi network wasn't on the whole time. Upon discovering this, in his defense he did apologize - but cmon dude. Shouldn't ever treat a customer like that. I slide my card and it works first try, after he turned the WiFi network on. I bumped my tip down from 22% to 18% and walked out. As I exit, I hear grumbles of complaints coming from the dude. Serious disappointment here. Never returning. I hate for one location to taint the other, but I can't say this makes me want to revisit my beloved Texas city location by my house any more, either.

I can't speak on the ambiance of the dining room, because this was a to-go order. Despite that the website -- based on my location -- showed bone-in chicken as an option, the lady at the drive-thru was polite in delivering the bad news. That said... This joint was out of mashed potatoes at around 6:30 on a weeknight. These are instant potatoes. Why? The mac & cheese was OK; the slaw was better than most, because the cabbage wasn't finely sliced; and the dirty rice was somewhat flavorful but gummy. If the biscuits here are "famous," it's only because they are spongy. I made better biscuits when I was a 12-year-old on a Boy Scout campout. -- The chicken strips are fine. Nothing memorable, but served fresh on my visit. The management at this location isn't the greatest. Perhaps they were having a bad day. More importantly, the person in the corporate marketing department who decided that bone-in chicken shouldn't be an option in this neck of the woods might want to collaborate with colleagues at other chicken chains that have realized great national success AND include strips on the menu. But, if you look at the history of Bojangles, you'll see that this company has passed through more hands than a deck of cards at a poker table. Good luck enjoying the offerings here.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.
