Pretty good matcha to be had here. I was impressed by the amount of matcha offerings here. It was not just tea! They also had cake, ice cream, rice pudding, crepe, etc. We tried the crepe cone and it was quite tasty but a bit messy to eat. It's literally a crepe in a cone stuffed to the brim with food including ice cream. The ice cream started melting though and dripping from the bottom which kind of sucked. We had to scramble to finish it. I still liked it but maybe I would have just put it out on a plate next time. My matcha latte was also quite smooth and tasty!

Came here on a hot day to get some gelato. I love how you can choose how strong you want the matcha flavor. I got the lightest amount but it tasted pretty creamy and good. Wish they gave a little more for the cost. Will be back to try their drinks sometime!

Stumbled upon this place. The menu is attractive! The crepe cones with layers of different ingredients inside, such as creme brulee, matcha gelato, fruit, whipped cream, oreo crubs and matcha creme brulee! Available after 12pm on the weekends starting on Friday. It's definitely a great dating idea! Because we had to go somewhere, ice cream is not a smart idea, so we resorted to the matcha gelato float. The gelato quickly melted away despite the ice cubes. However, at the end of the drink, when the ice melted a bit more, the remaining matcha powder bits tasted equally creamy and flavorful. We ordered via a kiosk and hearing the server calling out the order numbers, I felt the orders were processed quickly. In less than 5 minutes, we got our drink. The place is not too big, but it has a few tables at the side. On weekends, they are always full. Upon walking in, I felt this is the sister store of Matcha Town. It seems the layout and drink menu are similar, and even the reward program is similar. The reward program does not include free food, only freebies like stuffy and other accessories. One difference is they make Basque cheesecake instead of gelato cake. For that, I'd definitely go with gelato cakes.

Was very curious about Bonbon Matcha since my fav matcha cafe is just down the street. Decided to give them a try in between errands for a pick me up. Luckily it wasn't super busy on a early Saturday afternoon but the line quickly formed after I placed my orders at one of the 2 kiosks. They were fast, took just a few minutes for my iced strawberry matcha latte to be ready. Really refreshing and tasty with real strawberry bits in every sip. Will definitely be back to try more drinks, ice cream or matcha crepe cake.

I had a chance to try Bonbon matcha this past weekend and it was pretty good! There was a line out the door but thankfully service was fairly fast. The ambiance here is pretty casual. I got to try: * Mango matcha drink - this was pretty good. Lots of fresh mango and when mixing the drink together i could get both the taste of mango and matcha together which was delicious * Matcha crepe - I am not the biggest matcha person but I overall enjoyed this crepe. There was lots of flavor in every bite and I absolutely loved it and the crispy brulee top. This is a little hard to eat so be prepared for that and there is some wait before the crepe is ready but i felt it was worth it Overall nice new spot and I would go back again!

Walked by and decided to try on a whim, and was very pleasantly surprised! The matcha especially is really solid, not grassy tasting at all. Got the yuzu and banana matcha - the banana is really delicious, the yuzu is also good, but tastes like the honey yuzu/kumquat pastes for tea found in Asian supermarkets (personally not my favorite taste / didn't taste like yuzu). Would come back to try other flavors though! Note: can't customize ice level

Bonbon Matcha absolutely lived up to the hype! I came with my family after looking forward to trying it, and it didn't disappoint. The shop is adorable, with a cute outdoor menu, a bright, clean interior, and self-order kiosks that made everything easy. Their menu has so many unique matcha creations: from cakes to a matcha affogato, which I had to try and absolutely loved. Such a fun and creative concept! The service was super quick as well. Even my brother, who's not a big matcha fan, ordered the mango matcha latte and ended up loving it. There are still so many drinks and desserts we want to try, so we'll definitely be back!

PROS: 1. Offers a variety of desserts to choose from. We got the signature double matcha cake and the matcha creme brulee crepe cone. Both had strong matcha flavor, but the crepe cone had more to offer with its crunchy creme brulee top, the matcha filling, strawberries, whipped cream, and oreo cookie bits - every bite was oh-so-yummy! 2. Service and wait time were pretty good considering the crowd. Even though they informed us that the pastries would take a little longer, they ended up coming out with the drinks in a decent amount of time. 3. Cute place, friendly vibes, and easy street parking. It's located in a plaza that has other shops and restaurants, making it a convenient place to check out. CONS: 1. Classic matcha latte wasn't bad, but wasn't as strong in matcha flavor compared to the desserts. Wouldn't go out of my way for this when there are better drinks to be had elsewhere. 2. A little steeper in pricing compared to some other matcha spots where the matcha taste is more apparent. OVERALL: A nice addition to the matcha world and I'd definitely return for the desserts if I'm in the area. I'd consider trying other drinks, but am weary that the other flavors such as the fruity ones would subdue the matcha taste. If the basic matcha latte lacked in that strength, I'd expect less in the other options. I'm open to another shot as they're still relatively new!

Got lucky and got a parking spot right in front. There were lots of matcha options to pick from. We got the banana cream matcha latte and yuzu matcha. I've had better versions else where but it was still pretty good. We didnt try any ice cream or their crepe cones this time. The cones looked quite messy. Will have to give it a shot next time!

Parking can be a bit tricky but once you enter the garage from behind, you'll find plenty of parking. Staffs were amazing, the menu selection is very nice and simple. Banana matcha: 4.5/5 Sea salt foam matcha: 4/5, it tasted more Milky than "matcha" Yuzu matcha: 5/5, very unique

Good menu. I had the ice cream and it was good, nothing great. Maybe the crepe and the drinks are delicious. The only thing that's so annoying is when places like this has no restroom facility to offer. Today it was "out of service".

Yuzu Matcha Tea and Sea Salt Cheese Foam Matcha Latte
    Marie C.

My sister and I tried the Yuzu Matcha Tea, Sea Salt Cheese Foam Matcha Latte, and Crepe Cone. The line wasn't too long, and they had a tablet ordering system with the full menu available, which made the process pretty easy. I'm a big fan of both yuzu and matcha, and the Yuzu Matcha Tea at regular sweetness was perfectly balanced--the yuzu flavor was bright and refreshing without overpowering the matcha. The Sea Salt Cheese Foam Matcha Latte was good, but it wasn't something I'd necessarily go out of my way to order again. Our favorite item was definitely the Crepe Cone! The crepe was fresh and perfectly crispy, with delicious layers of strawberries, ice cream, cookie crumbles, whipped cream, and matcha crème brûlée. It was a fun dessert with a great mix of textures and flavors, and I would definitely order it again. The cafe was a little crowded, so indoor seating is limited. However, there's some space outside where people can hang out while waiting for their orders. Overall, this is a solid new matcha spot in Cupertino with a nice variety of drinks and desserts!

I dropped by after dinner with my family. As they loaded up their tray, I walked around looking for vegan options. I found two items displayed near the register: Gluten-Free Vegan Coffee Cake Mini Loaf and the Gluten-Free Vegan Double Chocolate Chip Mini Loaf. Note: Their website mentions they also have a Vegan Chocolate Chip Muffin and a Vegan Blueberry Muffin, but I didn't see them during my visit. The Plain Baguette is also vegan. I tried both mini loafs, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with either. The texture was too sandy, the loaf was dry, and the flavor was lacking. Traditionally, a coffee cake is moist, buttery, and has warm spices like cinnamon with a crunchy streusel topping. This was lacking cinnamon and the topping didn't add texture. When I think of a double chocolate chip mini loaf, I imagine something rich, sweet, and chocolatey. This was not moist or rich, and the chocolate cake lacked depth. The only saving grace was the chocolate chips, but the actual cake texture wasn't enjoyable enough to finish it. As a vegan, I wouldn't shop here again. In fact, I'd rather have Abe's coffee cake or brownies from the grocery store than this bakery's vegan options. That said, I added two stars instead of one because the staff is friendly, parking is easy, the store is clean, and as I recall, their non-vegan options are tasty.

Even as I grew older, I never grew out of combing through their catalogue of delightful egg tarts and sweet and savory buns. The experience I'm speaking about today pertains to their custom cake order. You will likely need to speak Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese for this. I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my party of approximately 20 people, and we had almost half of the cake left over to spare! To be fair, I did give a much more generous estimate (I mentioned that there would be around 20-30 people attending my party). Definitely would've downsized had I known everyone's appetite would be so small. The ladies working there will let you know which size is best for your party. The cake was gigantic, and made in my favorite flavor (their mango mousse) with my birthday message written atop it in red and white icing. I loved everything about it! They're generous with the pickup process, you can definitely arrive after the time you specified for picking up. Everything went very smoothly, my friends were surprised that the cake was so delicious and many had never even had a mango flavored cake to begin with either! The creamy rich mousse layers complement the spongey cake perfectly. It was $135 total, but if you get their regular fruit cream cake, it'll be cheaper than if you pick a specialty cake (their tiramisu, passionfruit, etc).

When we've brought it to social gatherings in the past, it's also always a hit. Their other desserts, like their lemon bars, french napoleon, and turtle cheesecake, are also major hits. So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better.
