You know...you would think this place would be similar to the excellent Bonchon in Ellicott City, but NO WAY! Except for the good Yeungling on draft, rice and radishes, I can't say many nice things. The facility is nice enough, BUT THE NOISE is absolutely horrible! NOISE, NOISE, NOISE, not to mention the scraping sounds the chairs make on the hard floors! Service was adequate. Now for the food.. SIMPLY AWFUL! Bulgogi was watery. No carrots to balance the onions. Just barely sweet. The chicken was marginal at best. Worst part was the gastric upset at home an hour later. My roommate ate some of the fried chicken I took home. He got sick stomach also. OK, I will say it....diarrhea! Yuck, Yuck, Yuck! I'm no longer enamored with Bon Chon. Though management was gracious is giving us 20% off our meal and an order of fried rice, on the house - I still wouldn't patronize this restaurant again. Regrettably sorry, Bon Chon. Can't quite wrap my head around, why it took so long for our fried rice to be ready. The restaurant had maybe four tables occupied, yet our fried rice took over 45 minutes and what I fool I am, to have waited that long. I've tried calling in 3x over the past few days, each time the lady on the phone says "bonchon please hold" then places you on a 5-7 min hold and then cuts off never coming back. Best bonchon in moco, hoco, and pg. Wings come out fast. They aren't dinky like other locations. Sauces are good and consistent. The last time we ordered take out, cause baby was sleeping, and the food was still warm and crispy when we got home. We live in all the way down 29 and this is our go to bonchon. Plenty of parking up front or in the garage. We've always been seated quickly. Service is great. And there's a kung fu tea a couple stores down- my husbands favorite after eating fried chicken . My family and I absolutely love this place! Our favorite is the spicy wings. I don't know how they make it but it taste amazing! This time we also got the Korean plum wine. Which was good and stronger then expected. Lol. The service is fast and the employees are so nice. The chicken was nice and juicy. And the fries are amazing with the seasoning that they added. We usually get 20 wings for about $25 which is not bad considering how good they are. Also, it comes with either Cole slaw or pickled radish. We got the Cole slaw and it was pretty good. Bonchon Columbia has really stepped up its game! It used the be that you would order food to go and there would always be something missing. For example, certain dishes come with a side order of rice or fries or you would need chopsticks or a fork to eat it. Bonchon Columbia used to be notorious in missing an important item from you order, such as these. But no more, because the management and staff at this Bonchon must have incorporated a system in their delivery service that has drastically cut down on these types of mistakes. They are always quick and helpful here at Bonchon. The fried chicken is right on an perfectly crispy and flavorful. And the other things we have tried, like the Chicken Katsu, Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice or the Pork Buns all come out wonderfully. And the one time we ended up waiting a bit for our meal to come out, they sent us an order of fries on the house, which definitely helped pass what wait we had. The soy garlic wings are an absolute favorite of mine! The coating of the chicken was very crispy and flavorful, while the chicken inside was extremely juicy. They paired perfectly along with the complementary pickled radishes. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere with its contemporary K-pop music and lighting. I've been a huge fan of Bonchon for years, but this location is without a doubt my favorite. The pieces are always big, juicy, and tender and the flavoring is always on point. The service is always quick and attentive and the food comes out within a reasonable amount of times (especially compared to other locations). The only downside I can think of is that they don't serve Thai Tea, but they do serve plenty of flavors of soju and there's a Kung-Fu Tea right next door that you can order while waiting for your food. For a chain Korean restaurant it's pretty good. The wings are nice and crispy how it is suppose to be. There's a bar but it's not a full one. However, I wish the sauce was spicier and the hot stone was at a higher temperature so it crisp the rice below. Needless to say I enjoyed the food. read more

This probably my most favorite bonchon , I work in Va I have ate bonchon few time at the Arlington location. But this its my first time here at this location. As I walk in the host greet me and sat me and my friends down. It was really busy the night we went. Erica was our server she took our order told our table it will be longer then usual because it's full house. We order salmon avocado ball, it's more tasty than I remembered. The salmon was torch and cook perfectly the tempura bits was crunchy. Appetizers came out 10 mins after we order We order large combo for 3 people we finish it all. the chicken was much crispy and crunchy because we dine in. I will def revisit when I'm back in the area. This owner it's the same owner for kung fun tea next door. Got a look at this location yesterday and order the Chicken Katsu to go. It was really good, even after reheating it. Unfortunately I ate it all before I could take a picture. I am going to give this place another try when I come back to the Columbia area. I love Bonchon's chicken wings but I have only visited the Hyattsville location. This location is currently doing a soft opening but I will be back to try other food. The place looked really nice from the inside and staff was very friendly. I've frequented this location for 2 years now and have only had one issue with a single order. It was quickly resolved by being refunded and offered a complimentary small size of their signature chicken. This single order definitely wouldn't have deterred me from future orders, but their resolution really just was a cherry on top. Unfortunately the last two times I've tried to order their new sauce and this location hasn't had it. This doesn't fall on them and I understand it's equally as inconvenient for the employees as it is for customers. The app/website still offers the sauce so they have to contact customers. Cindy is the one who's contacted me for these orders and is always so sweet and apologetic despite it not being the location's or her error. With that being said, Bonchon is hands down my go to when I want wings. Their spicy sauce has a spice that lingers and hits the spot for me more than Buffalo wings. It's not our first time eating at BonChon and also at this location . We were disappointed with the quality of chicken served to us. It tasted like it was just reheated and they used Old oil. We can tell if the chicken is not freshly made. We have eaten at this location before but the quality of chicken has gone down. Service was excellent. I LOOOOVE Bonchon. I have only had the half&half chicken strips which are always delicious. They use enough sauce to coat the strips. The strips are crispy yet juicy. A lot of times I will devour a small within 15mins haha They are worth trying if you are curious about Korean chicken. read more

I made an online order for my parents because I've had a good experience dining in with bonchon in Columbia. Unfortunately my parents did not like the chicken, it was half soy and half fried, but they were not fresh at all. It was soaked in oil, and meat was very dry inside. I've worked in restaurants before so I was sure that they most likely refried the chicken that was left the day before. Wish they provide fresh chicken like how they do for dine in customers. I gotta say I've been to BonChon's prior to going back to Korea and they were way cleaner and friendlier than the Bon Chon in Columbia, MD. I told my white friend "I am never eating here again." First off, half the staff wasn't even wearing a face covering/face mask. Second, I waited far too long for chicken that was mediocre and very soggy. Tried Bonchon for the first time yesterday with my daughter. Her treat. She'd eaten it before from another location that had been delivered. This was a Friday. It was around 4:30 and not busy. I ordered the small wing combo and she ordered the pork buns with the wings/drums combo. It was okay. I'd hesitate to eat here again. I found our wings to be over battered and overcooked. The soy/garlic flavor was good. Actually I peeled some of the batter off to eat the meat of the wings. Some of the meat on the wings was moist and some were dry like they weren't fresh. I said that to my daughter. She replied that the wings she'd eaten before were alot better than these. I told her maybe we'd try them on a weekend when maybe we'd be likely to get some fresher than what we had. The buns were okay. I've had better. The pieces of meat in the buns were dry and tough.
