My friends and I decided to have a late lunch here, which didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the space was clean. We ordered the Seoul Sampler and 10 pieces of wings (Soy Garlic) shared between 3 people. The sampler included 2 drums, 4 wings, Bulgogi Fries, Pork Potstickers, Korean Street Corn and Coleslaw. They had this new flavor korean BBQ and chose spicy mayo as the dipping sauce. Indeed it was worth trying as everything was crispy and flavorful.

First time trying this place it was empty as it was a Monday so we were served very quickly. Clean dine in location and it looks like it could be a fun hangout spot! Bulgogi fries were chefs kiss! I loved how crispy they were . It was a big enough portion to eat on your own as a main, or share! We got boneless chicken in yangnyeom and Korean bbq both flavors were amazing! Chicken was kind of hard/ dry and some were hollowish? In the middle but I didn't mind it because the flavor made up for it, plus I expected drier chicken since it was boneless. Next time I will get bone in! I can see myself coming back here and bringing friends to try more things off the menu, i had trouble deciding what to get in the first place because it all looked so good on the menu! Love this place!!!

My cousins and I came here on a Friday night and had really good food and really great service. Between the 5 of us we shared Tteokbokki, Bulgogi fries, and the medium mixed order of chicken and it was more than enough for us. The two staff were very attention to us and were so sweet. The ambiance is casual - where you can eat solo, date night, or groups

Watching too much KDrama made me crave for some chicken. This is my first time ordering via DoorDash and the food did not disappoint. The chicken was still hot when I got it and the side dishes are yummy. My kids love it as well. We will definitely try to stop by the Newark location when we get the chance!

My cousins and I went to Bonchon for an early dinner and we had such an AMAZING experience. We ordered of teottbokki, bulgogi fries, and wings. We waited a very short time, and the employees were sooooo nice and friendly! They never hesitated to help us out when we needed refills on our water, extra utensils, etc. The food itself was delicious. We got 3 items split among 5 people and the portion sizes were pretty good for the price we paid. I recommend coming here at 5pm on a weekday because it was very quiet, allowing us all to rest. This is the best Bonchon in the Bay Area!

My first time trying Bonchon was overseas, where the flavors had a strong, authentic Asian taste. However, in the U.S., the flavors seem toned down for the American palate. Today, I ordered the Mukbang Meal online for about $40 with tax. The meal was fantastic--crispy chicken, wings, fried potstickers, bulgogi fries, corn, and coleslaw, enough for two people. However, the service had some issues. I ordered online due to limited lunch time, but when I arrived, I still had to wait 10 minutes just to show my I.D. It wouldn't be bad but no-one was at the register just me, didn't even see staff serving customers. Additionally, my order didn't include utensils or napkins, which was inconvenient, especially for dishes like coleslaw and corn that require scooping. I also never received a confirmation that my order was ready--just a pickup time. The interior has a high-end Korean bar aesthetic, which is nice, though unexpected for a fast-food-style restaurant. Maybe they host karaoke nights. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service and attention to customer needs could improve. Despite that, I'd still recommend Bonchon for a unique and flavorful meal.

Can you see the difference between these two sandwiches. Manager said he couldn't do anything about it.

Leaving negative feedback brings me no joy but this issue needs to be addressed. My wife I had lunch today and we both ordered the chicken sandwich. Picture included. While the flavor was good the actual chicken in my sandwich was almost nonexistent. The server was very polite and apologized. The most disturbing thing is the manager said he couldn't do anything. He wouldn't even come to the table and had our server relay his message. This was unacceptable to me. I read other reviews saying the portion sizes have declined and I witnessed this today. I'm not going to gamble if my food is going to be good or not. Consistency and quality are key when running a business. Today they failed

I met up with my non-vegan best friend, and we both loved our meals. We shared two vegan appetizers and each got our own entree. I appreciate that they have a separate vegan menu with lots of options to choose from. Here's what we ordered: Mango Mojito, Vegan Thai Tea, Roti Curry, Vegan Crispy Eggplant Strips, Vegan Shrimp Laksa Noodle Soup, and Premium BBQ Combo. The presentation of our dishes was on point, and the portions were generous. Everything I tried was super flavorful and delicious. The curry sauce for the roti was incredible, and the breading on the crispy eggplant was really flavorful and tasty, though I was a bit surprised by the ketchup on top. Next time, I'd ask for the ketchup on the side. The laksa noodle soup broth had an amazing depth of flavor. I didn't try the mango mojito or BBQ combo, but my friend said she absolutely loved them! Highly recommend checking this place out; we're definitely going back to try more things!

I've seen paint dry, glaciers melt, and toddlers grow up faster than our food arrived. When it finally did show up, the "katsu fish and chips" looked like someone raided last night's sashimi scraps, dunked them in a fryer, and hoped for the best. The portion was so tiny I wasn't sure if it was an appetizer or a prank. Flavor? Let's just say "questionable" is doing heavy lifting here. And because nothing says "classic fish and chips" like an identity crisis, it came with a chopped fruit salad. Bold choice. If you have kids, bring your own booster seat. Or a booster seat for your expectations. They don't have any high chairs, and apparently never thought anyone under 30 might try to dine there. The place was empty--like "abandoned warehouse" empty. Which raises the real question: how does this place stay in business? I'm convinced it's a front. For what, I don't know, but definitely not good food or service. In conclusion: if you want slow service, tiny weird fish, and fruit with your fried seafood while sitting in a restaurant that feels like a set for a crime drama, this is absolutely your spot.

This was my first experience with SOHO MJ and while I didn't exactly know what to expect, I left quite impressed. First and foremost, I believe dinner offerings are only going to be the pre-fixed tasting menu. [[someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong]] While there is a signature menu and brunch menu listed on the website, none of the items were able to be ordered ala carte during our visit. Dinner consisted of 2 different tasting menus: Classic + Premium. The third menu was a long list of signature cocktails. Let me start off with saying how delicious SOHO's cocktails are. On the list of 11 offerings, here is what we actually tried: *SMOKE & HI *PINK SUNSET *SOHO 75 *TOKYO MULE *PEACH RICKEY *BLUSHING BAE All were great in their own way and there wasn't a single disappointment for our entire group. I believe the 8 of us all went with the classic tasting menu, 1 adding the caviar to their purchase. Food presentation was A1 and although the bites were extremely small [[ i openly admit that i am a BIG BIG eater, with quite an appetite]] everything was so good. A few personal highlights were the temaki, abalone steamed egg custard, and the assortment of nigiri. I must say, dessert was trash. The lemon vanilla custard had no lemon flavoring to it- no citrus of any kind. This was the only thing that wasn't consumed. All in all, 5 stars. It was such a fun night celebrating the Birthday Bae and the food was awesome.

Being a hot pot lover, I had to get AYCE after an invigorating and hunger-inducing dance class. They have a cheaper lunch pricing that includes the weekend, which is very rare and great to see! For their all you can eat, there are a lot of options for self-serve ingredients, including some Chinese food in the buffet (most of which were a little dry), cheap sushi, dessert, DIY milk tea, fresh ice cream, and a sauce bar with pickled veggies. Do note that you may see a bug or two flying around some ingredients, so select wisely - I'm unfazed since I've traveled to Asia. The important items are covered, plus $25/pp for AYCE lunch on the weekend is crazy good in the bay. They only offered beef or lamb for the hot pot meat cuts at the time, which were unlisted on the menu. That was fine enough for us; you also have the option of doing a large pot to share that can hold two broths, or individual pots. The spicy broth was standard and good on the mala, the original soup was a little more bland than expected, and the fungus soup was surprisingly very umami and shroom-savory. The place is pretty dark, quiet, and interesting. There's some weird Western-style seats and furniture that just make you go "why". The service was pretty decent, as we always got meat whenever we wanted it. If you want value hot pot and no hassle in procuring your own ingredients, this is a solid place in the area.
