While I was waiting I was told they forgot my second half of the order because I have a BOGO coupon and they forgot the free half. Then getting home I open up my order and I only ordered 20 tenders. 10 soy garlic and 10 half and half red chili and spicy. They totally forgot the red chili part. I have been here 5-6 times. I've always gotten the wings. However the last 2 times I tried the strips.They are an amazing value. The small is HUGE and def feed two people. They are super crispy. All the flavors are good but my favorite is the spicy, then soy garlic and then sweet crunch. I can't vouch for anything else except here French fries are really food too. I feel like I've eaten at every restaurant in this area, so I was looking for something different. I stumbled upon Bonchon and just the photos are enough to make your mouth water. I mean, who doesn't like fried chicken? We happened to get here during their happy hour and took advantage of a few of their discounted items. We started with fries; mostly because we were starving and my 1yo needed something she could munch on. We ordered wings to share because, duh. I started flipping thorough the menu looking for something different. I had heard of bibimbap, but never knew what it was or tried it. We opted for the bulgogi, which is just seasoned beef. It was actually kind of bland and didn't seem to be worth the $15 price point. This is actually why I'm giving these guys 4 stars. So, we started eating the wings. Holy crap, they were good! Summary: stick with the fried chicken! If you want good Korean fried chicken, this is a great place to go. Light crispy batter with juicy chicken. Get the soy garlic -- absolutely the best flavor available. Salty and savory! Prices are a little high, but this flavor is totally worth it. Sweet flavor is alright; it's just very one-note. It's only sweet and nothing else. Be warned... the spicy flavor is unbelievably hot. Your mouth will be on fire for the rest of the meal and after you leave! The problem is that everything else at this restaurant is lackluster. Their rice (whether white or fried) is a complete joke. The tteokbokki doesn't have a good flavor. Their chicken in any form is amazing, i always get the strips half spicy half soy, run to target get some cheese and Hawaiian bread rolls and make a bunch if sliders, alternating between spicy and soy, woah what a game changer. You may not believe this story, but it is 100% true! Me and my wife frequent the Bonchon at Waterford Lakes. Usually we are satisfied with the experience. Yesterday 10/31/22, we went for dinner. I ordered the beef bulgogi as I have before. The bulgogis come in a sizzling tray and a bowl of white rice. I asked the waitress for an extra plate so that I can spread my rice out and scoop the bulgogis on top (as I have in past visits). This is were it got crazy!...She told me that it is company policy that only specific plates come with specific food and she was unable to get me an extra plate. I asked her to ask the manager to make an exception since I could not use the sizzling pan the food came on. She went to the back to ask the manager and then returned to said that the manager said no. I want to make sure this story is clear... I asked for an extra plate to eat on, no extra food, no modifications to the food... ONLY AN EXTRA PLATE TO EAT ON! Me and my wife then got up and left without eating and will never return! This could be the most ridiculous example of bad service and a total disregard for customer satisfaction I have ever seen! The chicken is AMAZING. They were understaffed so there was a little wait, but the food is cooked to order so I didn't mind the wait as much. My husband and I had lunch at Bonchon today. Service was ok. My wings came out cold, sent them back, came back just ok, seem like the same wings but just stuck then back in the deepfryer. The wings overall are so tiny, like they came from dwarf chickens. They were sorta crispy. House fried rice was super spicy, the menu didnt indicate this at all. We both agreed, overall, not impressed. Probably will not be back as there are so many other places that have good wings that are far superior. read more

This location is not a good representation of the BonChon franchise. I ordered medium bone-in wings (20 piece) to go and it came out promptly ahead of time. Two thumbs up so far. However, after trying them on the way home, I sadly discovered most of the wings didn't have any type of crunch and were somewhat soggy and at best were analogous to basic fried wings with sauce. Bonchons is famous for their crunchiness from being double fried and hence the price tag that comes with that. We've been to this location a few times because we enjoy Bonchon fried chicken, but we've had several disappointing experiences, the worst being today's order. We ordered 20 pc signature wings online for pick up--once we got home and were able to open the box of wings, we found that none of the wings had their signature crunchy breading and were instead naked (non-breaded) soggy wings. I checked the order I placed online and nowhere did it even offer an option of breaded vs. naked wings. The fried chicken was definitely tasty than the other location however we were unimpressed with the portion of the fried rice considering the price. The truth in rating this restaurant as low as it is because we felt insulted by management. We were only having a moment of laughter, we were quiet and considerate for most of our stay, when the manager came up to us to notify that one couple behind us was complaining. He even went on to say that he didn't think we were even that loud but just wanted to "let us know". I've tried bonchon in other cities and they were all great. This place is so so the flavor is not as good I don't know why. The service is average. I ordered to go and was told to wait for around 15 minutes. Came back 30 minutes later and was told to wait and my food came out after 35 minutes. The wait was incredibly long for my food... and there was only two other pairs in the whole restaurant. Went for lunch and when it finally came out it looked like something I could buy at Publix deli for half the price they charged here. The bugogli tasted good but there was very little in the wrap, and the main ingredient listed was avocado which was not even in my wrap. DON'T waste your time here! Yesterday was my first time going to any Bonchan, and least to say I was very pleased. Immediately upon entry, my entire party and I were greeted and then informed about Bonchan and its history. The host told us "If it is your first time, definitely get the chicken." and I would absolutely have to agree. Crunchy skin and tender chicken, just overall delicious. I so wanted to really love this. First time trying the fried chicken and I had heard such positive things. First, I wasn't sure as to which sauce to get on the chicken. So I called to see if I can get it on the side and no can do. Not the kids fault, he's doing his job, but would've been nice to be able to get it on the side for those who have never tried them before. So I got the plain thinking it would have at least some flavor but just straight oil. Also when I got there it has been not too long since I got the order is ready text. I had been craving authentic Korean Fried Chicken for quite a while. Having just recently moved to Orlando, I immediately visited this place and boy it did not disappoint. The fried chicken is made fresh every time, and the 15 minutes needed for preparation is worth the wait every single time. Two thumbs up for Bonchon as it is meant to be served and tasted - as well as for the efficient and friendly customer service. The chicken is always deliciously prepared and their quality consistent. I have managed to meet the proprietor both times I visited, and his devotion to his restaurant shows in the quality of food and service. All of the team members are attentive. My go to is always the spicy drumsticks with a side of pickled radish. The tteokbokki dish is always delicious as well - and worth a try. Honestly food is good but 4 out of 5 times that you call to place an order they don't pick up or ask you to hold and you wait over 10 minutes and they either hang up on you or you just get sick of waiting and hang up. I just called 6 times they answered the first time asked me to wait I did for 5 minutes and they hung up on me I called again they didn't answer called again he answered and made me hold again 11 minutes passes I hang up. We were not impressed with Bonchon Chicken. For the price you would think you would be wow'ed and we were not. Not the best place for Kids as there are NO kids meals or even not many things kids would eat. We went for dinner and thought it would be packed. We were 1 of 2 tables and when we left only one other table came. You would think the sushi place is packed this would be as well and it was far from it. I received an internet coupon, buy one order of wings and get one free, so we decided to give this place a try. We are so glad we did. I had the sweet and crunchy wings (so good!) and my hubby had the spicy wings. Both were excellent. The waiter warned my hubby they were very hot but no worries, he loved the heat. The coleslaw that came with the wings was fresh, crisp, and tasty. We also had the best house fried rice we have had anywhere in Orlando. The food is cooked fresh so there is a bit of a wait but we relaxed with a happy hour draft. Our waiter Christian was very friendly, and welcoming. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. If you don't know Korean food, this isn't going to show you what it is. Their bulgogi isn't flavored as bulgogi. Chicken katsu was dry too. They charge for kimchi ($3), pickled radish ($2), and all other staple sides too. Ridiculous. These are free and refillable at any Korean restaurant. This location was DIRTY! My husband and I went in and walked right out. There wasn't even a lot of people in there. We walked by 4-5 dirty tables before we sat down. The bathroom was DIRTY. Don't really give bad reviews often so I feel bad about this... but seriously not good at all... the fried rice was bland... expensive as hell too... food was not authentic tasting at all.... the wings were the best thing there. Which I would give a solid 4 out of 5 stars... however nothing tasted like it was made from scratch... really disappointing.
