I got the wonton egg drop soup and the wontons were massive and had a lot of flavor. I also tried the chicken noodle soup and have been bragging about it ever since. There were so many noodles (kind of like udon noodles) & chicken and the broth was so good. I typically get shrimp lo mein but decided on the shrimp mei fun this time. It was so light, fresh, and delicious ... I honestly might never order lo mein again. Prices were so reasonable, and the delivery fee was only like $1.19, which is amazing. Not going to lie, this is a whole in the wall, and it's hit or miss. We stick to the basics which is sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The staff are always very nice here and the food is normally pretty good. Last time I went the sweet add sour chicken was fried too hard. Sesame chicken was bomb and the Hunan chicken came with a great variety of vegetables, unlike many other spots. The normal chicken fried rice was a bit burned and was my least favorite part of the dish. Best to go with pork fried rice if possible. Wonton soup was delicious as well! The service was very quick. I was in and out of the restaurant in 10-15 minutes. The workers are all very nice as well! The atmosphere itself is pretty plain but of course your there for the food, not the experience! I was honestly surprised at how mediocre, at best, all of the food was. I love Chinese food and have had plenty of it in plenty of places, and this was some of my least favorite. The wontons and rangoons both had a strange taste to them, which was concerning. The chicken dish I got was OK (thankfully, no odd tastes). Average food at best. Ordered the Mongolian beef which should be called Mongolian teriyaki since it was on the sweeter side. Didn't taste anything like any other Mongolian beef I've had. Chicken lo mein barely had chicken. Wonton soup had soy sauce.. anytime you see soy sauce already in it, tells me they're using the soy sauce to cover up a shortcoming/shortcut. Every time I come here the food is good and cooked to order so it's always fresh. I love their sweet and sour chicken. It's a very small place but they are always busy which is a great sign. The workers are polite and get food out fast. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 15 minutes even during a lunch/dinner rush. This place got my order incorrect. I asked for Shrimp with Broccoli in brown sauce and they attempted to give me white sauce. When I saw the receipt and asked the lady who took my order to correct it she said ok and the guys threw brown sauce on top. So unprofessional. I literally pointed out to her that they weren't remaking it with the proper sauce just throwing sauce around in the box and she just acted as if I was being unreasonable. So let me tell you a story. I recently had the worst customer service and food from NY Chinese I have ever had. Zero star worthy even! The food showed up soggy and warm at best when it finally arrived. The food itself was disgusting, the fried rice had some sort of inedible grizzle in it and the General Tso's was a soggy, gross mess. I was quoted 45 mins to an hour for delivery and my food didn't arrive for an hour and a half, after I had already left for work! When I called to inquire as to where my order was (after an hour and 15 mins) the VERY rude woman who refused to give me her name, but claimed to be the owner wouldn't apologize, blamed the driver, and hung up on me. She refused to accept ANY responsibility even after I explained you cannot quote one time and show up thirty mins late with no recourse. She continued to argue and yell at me, all the while blaming the driver. Maybe, oh idk call me crazy, but ONE driver isn't enough! I tried to reason with the woman as my son had to eat the slop since I had to leave for work but she refused to do anything about it, and continued to hang up on me. I had long been gone when the driver arrived. The driver gave my son a $5 discount (which I'm sure came out of his tip money) but honestly too little too late. $5 after all that stress, being repeatedly disrespected, hung up on multiple times, no dinner for me, not one single apology, and horrid food quality?! Seriously? No thank you and never again. Shame on you NY Chinese, you lost a customer for life, and I'm literally a stones throw away and eat Chinese take out once a week. So I've been a regular customer of NY Chinese for 2 years and I have to say the food here is top tier! Now the only reason I don't give a 5 star rat is due to the inconsistency of how much time it takes for an order to be made but this is due to the fact that this place is so delicious that it gets packed EVERYDAY, this is semi annoying but you can't really get mad at the restaurant for attracting so many customers with their delicious food, but that could probably be fixed if they hired a fee more people. As far as the staff goes, the cooks do not speak English very well but the cashiers are very fluent in both English and Spanish! Which is very convenient. This is hands down the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. The service was also great when I went in to place my order. I assumed this would be the typical Chinese fare found all around Orlando, and while the menu was practically identical to all the others, the quality and taste was lightyears ahead. The prices were also great. This place was ok for a while but recently it made me sick!They took so long to deliver that my food was spoiled! The chicken was inedible! Their delivery times are usually long. About 45-1hr. Recently my delivery was estimated at 1 hr and it took an hour and a half. No deliveries should EVER take longer than 45 minutes and if they do than you are failing on the management end of things. They should really consider hiring another delivery driver for peak times. Stop being cheap and hire another delivery driver! One good thing is the delivery drivers are always nice! Got dinner here the other night since we were washing clothes a few doors down and have to say we were not impressed. We got it to go since it was late and it smelled better then it tasted. The food was bland with no flavor and none of us even ate it all and ended up throwing it out. I got the Garlic wings (which I asked them to add honey too since I've had similar at other places), the wings were ok, surprisingly they didn't have much flavor which was sad. The rice had hardly any veggies in it and again it was bland. My son got the sweet & sour chicken and said it tasted funny so he only had a few pieces before throwing his away, the fries he got with it were soggy and cold so those went in the garbage as well. My boyfriend had the General Tao chicken (which is usually spicy and they even warned me when ordering, but we know this and like it hot), he said it was not spicy at all and was bland. The eggrolls were just cabbage and in need of seasoning. Maybe if you add some salt & pepper it would be a little better. The restaurant is on the corner of the plaza next to the bar. It seemed clean inside with a few tables and chairs. Must have been a slow night since bot people up front were on their phones talking and the girl who took our order only put it down long enough to ring us up. I would only give 1 star but the prices were good so i gave them an extra one (came out to $25 for 3 dinners). Overall just disappointed and will never go back. Lesson learned. read more

I continued my quest once again to find the best Chinese takeout. Recently I stumbled upon this restaurant nestled in a tiny strip mall next to Sedano's Grocery store. I ordered once again my usual Sesame Chicken, It was the lunch special including Pork Fried Rice and I selected a container of Won Ton Soup. The service was prompt but the food sadly left much to be desired. The rice was overflowing with too much soy sauce with little to no pork and a few bits of very over cooked vegetables. The chicken portion size was adequate but smaller in pieces than most other shops with even more gristle than Chengs Restaurant if that's possible?. The only compliment I can give the shop is that their Won Ton Soup came in a much larger container than other similar shops. It also tasted very good. A surprise welcome to an overall unpleasant experience. Rest assured, If I was from New York I would be very offended my state's name is being used in their logo. Recently moved from Orange County, CA to Orange County, FL lol and have been wanting to try Chinese food around the area. We ordered A LOT of food and we LOVED it!!! (Wanton soup, chicken lo mein, roast pork fried rice, broccoli beef, and chicken with garlic sauce). Portions were big (we ordered all large) and were not disappointed.
