Fried Chicken - Soy Flavor
Christopher B.

Friday, November 28, 2025 / 12:47 PM OVERVIEW: Pleasantly surprised. Couldn't afford to go there all the time, but the flavor of their fried chicken is delicious. PROS: - My first time to order Korean fried chicken. It was basically like ordering Buffalo Wings, but done Asian style. - Ordered the Lunch Special, Mixed (Soy Flavor) Chicken to go. Came in a small, cute box. Since the box was so small, I didn't think that the chicken volume would satisfy my hunger, but together with the lunch special side orders of rice & coleslaw, it was just enough to fill my tummy. - Although my order was to go, I noticed the warm atmosphere of the venue. It is perfect for watching a live sports event on their big-screen TV while chomping down on chicken. CONS: - It's not cheap. The Lunch Special is $13.99 without any drink and not including tax. (But includes two side orders as mentioned above) If you eat at the restaurant, order a drink and give a tip, you're looking at +/- $20.00 easy. But then again, it's a nice venue, and in a good location, the overhead costs are understandable. But in reality, in this current economy, the price is on par with places like KFC & Raising Cane's. - While the side order of coleslaw was delicious, the side order of rice seemed skimpy. - I'm basically a dude with a small appetite. But if you're really hungry for chicken, you might need to order more than just one of these lunch boxes to make you happy. CONCLUSION: If you're a fried chicken lover and want to try something different, please give this place a try! -

Mixed 6 PC: 4Wings + 2 Drums, Chicken Katsu, Bulgogi Fries
Cyndy N.

We came in on a Thursday evening. It was busy even though they will be closing in 2 hours. Majority of the tables were filled and we were greeted right away and they let us choose where we wanted to sit. We ordered the bulgogi fries, 9 piece mixed chicken with pickled radish and my friend ordered chicken katsu with rice. I really like the bulgogi fries, it had a great amount of flavor for the meat. My favorite part was how crispy the fries were. The wings had so much flavor. I'm surprised that they had new flavors. It was only soy garlic and the spicy one years ago. But I was pleased to see more options on the menu. I liked their menu as it was spread out and we were able to view everything without being overwhelmed. The restaurant was clean and had interesting decorations. I would like to come back and try other flavors as well.

They messed up my online order, not once.....

I love their food, but they messed up my online orders twice so far! Why didn't they check the order to make sure everything is there and the order is correct???!!! I would love to give them a higher rating, but they need improvement!!!

The food were all so good. Started with the pork bao bun and every bite had so much flavor. The original classic chicken was crispy to perfection, and the spicy flavored one was sticky and yummy. I chose a side of pickled radish to balance the spicy heat. And service was great! I love the attentiveness from staff. Very chill place with a mixture of music playing in the background. Had my six year old swaying to the beat of the music. You can watch the game while you're here, nice bar set up with beer and soju. Tteokbokki was yummy also. Had a nice cheesy, sweet, & spiciness balance of flavor. If you like sports, the screen is available for you and has a nice bar set up with beer & soju.

The service was super fast and very attentive! The ambience was quiet but still cute. The food is a 10/10! We wanted fried chicken so we wanted to try something different, the battered was so crispy and the seasoning was divine! Best flavor ever! We got the plain seasoning I forgot what it was called but it was the only one on there that was no sauce. The chicken sandwich was excellent as well very tasty and cooked to perfection! My kids got the corn dog and they loved it! I got the tteokbokki and it was so delicious. Generous portion ! Too much to finish but I wasn't even mad about it. Definitely coming back and highly recommend if anyone is craving Korean cuisine or fried chicken!

Takoyaki
Arlena S.

I love the chicken from here but I always have an issue when I order the takoyaki. Last time I ordered they were burnt and this time it's missing the bonito flakes. I really love bonchon and the service is always the best but I hope they do better with takeout.

Kimchi, Rice, Coca Cola

I came here for the chicken and pleasantly enjoyed it. I initially ordered the chicken and wings with garlic soy sauce only. It's good but I was missing a kick. I asked our server if there was a hot sauce we can order on the side to dip the wings and chicken. She recommended their house sauce. She brought over their house sauce and explained they aren't allowed to serve a dipping sauce container, she drizzled our food as we requested. It packs a punch so be careful, I downed my water to help with the spice. It was really good. The Korean tacos are delicious, with a nice balance between the chicken, coleslaw and cucumbers. My husband had the udon soup, he enjoyed the flavorful brother and fried egg. We'll be back again, next time I plan to order the mix of the two sauces. The restaurant is small with a dark ambiance. It's cute, there's a bar available.

Yummy Buldak
Camilla V.

I have been craving Korean cuisine!! So I am so glad that I was able to try this place out. Firstly, I ordered the Bao buns which were filled with pork belly. They were very delicious and just right. You can also choose fried chicken or bulgogi as a filling as well. Secondly, I also ordered tteokbokki which was very tasty and just the right spiciness. Thirdly, I also ordered the japchae which was very flavorful and helped with the other spicy dishes. And lastly, I ordered the buldak with a side of rice. It was quite spicy, but was still tasty. The service was quick and very good. The place also provides a nice selection of seating and offers takeout. I highly recommend this place. And I will be back to taste some more delectable dishes.

Garlic Soy Chicken Wings with Korean Radish, Lemonade
Penelope M.

If you're craving crunch, flavor, and a little Korean magic, Bonchon's soy garlic chicken wings are the answer. These wings are next-level crispy--like, audible crunch with every bite--and the glaze? A savory-sweet garlic bomb that hits all the right notes without overpowering. It's the kind of sauce that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. The lemonade was a surprise MVP: bright, refreshing, and generously refilled to-go. That alone made me feel like royalty. And the Korean radish? Clean, crisp, and perfectly tangy--exactly what you want to cut through the richness of the wings. Service was smooth, flavors were bold, and the whole meal felt like a treat. Bonchon doesn't just serve food--it delivers a full-on flavor experience.

Kimchi fried rice
Bethany S.

They have gone SO SKIMPY on anything with protein. Or kimchi. My favorite was always kimchi bacon fried rice, but there less than a table spoon of dried out bacon like protein and almost no Kimchi. How are you going to charge so much for regular fried rice with sprinkles of the flavors we were promised? Boooooo!

Nav C.

I came exactly around 10 ish when they open and it was empty. The staff is so sweet. I ordered chicken and I also ordered the udon noodle soup. I did not enjoy the soup it did taste really bland and I was not a big fan of the broth or the noodles. I really love the boneless chicken here at bonchon. It's one of my favorites. I got the 12 piece! It is a lovely place to bring your friends especially they do have a bar. I really also like their fried rice as well it's a perfect pair to eat with the chicken! I recommend you to try it.

Korean BBQ drumsticks
Melissa D.

I had the Korean BBQ drumsticks, and they were still a little crunchy after delivery. Very tasty, and definitely would be better if I had it hot and fresh. The pickled radish sadly tasted like it was almost going bad. It was questionable, but the vinegar probably saved it. I threw most of it away. The japgae didn't have as much flavor as I expected. It needed more soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic. Luckily, I had some sesame oil to add myself. The noodles had the satisfying chewiness that I craved. The ribeye also didn't have enough flavor or umami. My husband liked it after I added the sesame oil. Overall, the Korean BBQ chicken and soft rice were the best out of this lunch.

Good Chicken, decent pricing, could use a little more sauce. Anticipating they'll improve as time goes on.

The car show happened to take place in the same parking lot as K-Town, so we just decided to have dinner here instead of sitting in the drive-thru line at In-N-Out. The inside is modernly lit with lots of wood motif and black. Oversized lightbulbs filled with faux flower petals hang from the ceiling. A random cartoon plays on the wall TV. For a weekday dinner bbq, we paid about $37 per person with no additional hot pot add-on. We got a good spread of drinks (they have boba!), but they are also an additional cost. The AYCE includes access to the buffet area, which has sushi (sashimi!), buffalo wings, seafood boil, a bunch of fried/breaded offerings, and all the sauces/accoutrements for both hotpot and kbbq. I was impressed by the short rib marinade here. The beef was meaty with a good texture. Some of the cubed meats were a little tough but could be due to the way we cooked it. The pork belly was sliced too thin for my liking (too bacony). We got the cheese sticks from the buffet and reheated them over the grill and made our own version of a Chili's Triple Dipper. Service was fine. We placed our orders with a guy and he would come around occasionally for a grill change and taking away plates. Between the two KBBQ AYCE I've been to in Stockton recently, I think K-Town wins. Overall, I came out stuffed and would definitely return.

We got there at 530pm and it hadn't gotten too busy at that point. Greeted and seated immediately. We usually don't do the hot pot side (we will try it some day) but the variety of meats were exactly what we normally order. We usually only do beef, but they have seafood, chicken and pork too. The salad and hot bar had quite a few options, and again I always defer to my favorites. Kim Chi, Pickled Daikon, etc etc. you'll have to check it out. Pretty big restaurant, feels spacious, and you're not right on top of your neighbor. We love that we can stay local and not have to travel to Elk Grove/Stockton Our server was friendly and attentive. Arriving at this building situated on the corner of the 5 freeway exit and Benjamin Holt, it's painted dark grey with plenty of parking. I was confused on where the front door is, but it's the one with the black awning and railings around it. The inside is very industrial with lots of black/grey. KPop plays loudly throughout. Pricing is around $34 per person, which is not bad considering you not only get kbbq meats to grill, but a buffet area with all types of goodies. The buffet area consisted of typical kbbq accoutrements (raw garlic, fresh jalapeno, kimchi, japchae, pickled radish, etc.), but also ribs, fried chicken wings, sushi (!!!), Mexican fare (Spanish rice, beans, foil-wrapped burritos?, nacho cheese/chips, pickled jalapeno/carrots), and some dessert options. We were seated immediately and the person waiting on us provided instructions on how to order (through your phone using a QR code). I liked this method since it allowed us to order whenever we felt ready instead of having to flag someone down. Most everything came by robot so that was cool. Service by the human was great since it was really only us in the restaurant for a majority of our meal. Waters refilled constantly and frequent grill changes. We mainly ordered the beef options and one pork belly. I would avoid the intestines here as they did not taste fresh nor great. There are also made-to-order apps like the corn cheese ramen. This was tasty and big enough to share with at least 3 people. The buffet bar items were just OK. Skip the sushi here as it is definitely catered to people who like grocery store sushi. Appreciated that there was such a large variety even if the quality isn't top-tier. After our meal, we both agreed this place was only OK and fulfilled our kbbq craving for a while.

But it's disappointing to pay for a KBBQ experience and find out that a majority of the self serve has been replaced with Mexican cuisine. Our most recent visit saw open faced buffet trays containing canned nacho cheese sauce/tortilla chips/pico de gallo/cold tortillas/limes/canned jalapeños/chicharrones...and miso soup is now bean soup. We've been coming since opening month. At the beginning, they were on the mark! Amazing quality, selection, service, you name it. We brought friends and family here instead of driving out of town for other chains. But then they began changing the menu, messing with the prices, and abandoning quality checks. 1.) They took away the made-to-order appetizers. 2.) They added a sushi bar, and I'm lead to believe it's unpopular because every time we leave, we see the same dried out pieces from when we first arrived 3.) Prices fluctuate across every visit and the menu items that come with each tier, are adjusted. Once upon a time, I would've been happy to pay higher prices, had they just left things alone and stayed true. Now, every visit entails something new, from menu items to prices. Dining out is too expensive to jerk customers around, at $35/person (not including premium meat tiers/premium appetizers/drinks/tips/etc.) We will not be coming back. *the staff are courteous and we have never had any issue with them. It's the business practice that I fault*

It was very delicious. A must order or try. We all ordered different dishes. The galbi (Korean short ribs) was marinated perfectly. Fat on the short ribs were minimal. I lived the char on the galbi. A must order recommendation. The 3 BBQ meat selection of BBQ chicken, beef (Bulgo gi), and pork was also excellent. The meats were cut for you after being prepared. The chicken, pork & beef were cooked perfectly. All meats were marinated perfectly, and not overly dry or burnt pieces. Another excellent selection to choose from. The Black bean sauce over noodles was very good too. That said, you need to be familiar with black beans, and the type of noodle to choose before ordering.
