Surprisingly, this is a restaurant we've never dined at the harbor before...and it was actually pretty good! For a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. No need for reservations, arrived around 4pm to meet up with some friends for dinner. They ordered the Parmesan wings to start and the hubs and I shared the fried calamari and shrimp. Both were flavorful and delicious. For dinner our friends opted for the Tomahawk steak with sides of Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Their steak was also served with potatoes which they said was good and they were happy with. My husband ordered the cheese burger that came with fries and I had the fettuccine alfredo and added shrimp. I also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and the garlic bread to dip in my pasta sauce. The bread was the perfect added touch I needed lol The Bianca Sangria was also good as well as the Old Fashion. No complaints! Overall everyone was happy with their orders. Our server Lofty was amazing! And made our dining experience just that much better! I wish waiters took notes from him because his service alone was exceptional. For dessert we enjoyed a Tiramisu paired with double espresso. Whether it's a date night, celebrating a joyous occasion or simply trying to find a bar to watch a game and enjoy some good eats, this is one spot you'll be satisfied with. Not a bad restaurant in the area. Came during Saturday dinner time with no reservations and there wasn't any wait, we got seated promptly. We got seated in a really nice covered outside balcony which was very convenient because we wanted an outside feel but without the cold wind outside. Marge was our server, she was amazing at being very attentive with us and answering any questions we had. She had recommended us to get the calamari and there were no regrets, it was amazing. Also got started off with some house meatballs. For entrees we got the bolognese rigatoni and the chicken parmigiana. Both dishes were pretty solid but nothing to blow me out of the water. Nothing bad to say here. Everything was a hit. All the other spots we went to had a an hour wait. But we were able to walk right into Bond45 with no wait. A blessing for our tummy lol. A girls day early dinner was a hit. I had a limoncello spritz and OMG it was amazing. Very refreshing and lemony lol. Then started with a salad. It was soooo fresh. I felt like they went to the garden and picked the veggies themselves lol. Then I for entree I had the shrimp scampi. Delicious. Perfect prion. Shrimp was seasoned to perfection. The pasta made fresh in-house. The setting of the restaurant was perfect. The view from outside on the terrace was amazing. Our waitress Yasmin was awesome. My first time visiting National Arbor and Bond 45 is one of many restaurants that's right in the heart to the Pier by the water. The food was OK, for the appetizer I had the fried shrimp + calamari, which was great going down and for my entrée I went with the seafood salad, but surprisingly it wasn't the best seafood salads I've ever had. I was not expecting to have the same appetizer fried shrimp + calamari to be served in the salad, which was dissappinted, My friend kept it simple and had one of their pasta dishes, that he seemed to enjoy, so it wasn't all a loss on the food. Their outdoor seating was great it gave us a view of the pier, some people watching, and the water, and indoor seating, offers similar views. Our waiter was very busy, but despite being very busy, he made time to chat with, and he was very polite. Although he was very busy handling tables, all of his tables, our food was served timely. The next time I visit National Arbor, I'd be willing to give it a try again, try a different entrée and stay away from anything that's fried. So I just got promoted in the new job I just stared in mid February ! My relatives wanted to celebrate me and what could be better than the first restaurant I went to on my first week in the U.S ?? Looks like I'll start celebrating every big achievement over there! My favorite spot is that spot I sit on at the first time! In the first sun room near the kitchen counter! Love it there! You can see the river and you can see the real Italian kitchen!! I was greeted by the wonderful lovely staff and their manager John! They were so happy for me when we told them the occasion we're celebrating and they congratulated me! They told me about the new menu items and to my biggest surprise that one of them was actually my favorite item - ( The large Chicken Parmigiana! It's like a pizza made of breaded chicken) - taken to the next level!! It has a full Lobster on the top!!! We ordered that! Then ordered also the new Diver Scallops! Oh! Yummy huge Scallops perfectly cooked over mushroom risotto! We also made a special order of Ribeye steak with Grilled shrimp on top and side of mushroom! We shared everything and had a great feast!! The Lobster Parmigiana is the star for sure! Something unique that you can only have there! Unbelievably delicious! MUST TRY!! It's huge and designed to be shared! Also there steak is unforgettable! I eat steak at many places but yet the steak there is very special!! Cooked right to the temperature I love and the view!! Yes the view! Eating there is a wholesome full experience! The staff and their wonderful service make it a lovely special! The ambiance, location and view make it a scenic luxury experience!! Visited the Bond 45 Restaurant on Saturday, May 3, around 6pm. Very busy! 1. Ordered the Tomahawk Steak. 4th time there. I've enjoyed it before, but this time, not as much. We come here a decent amount, and the pasta is usually solid. But the service has been hit or miss; there was a particularly busy weekend that we showed up and we were able to get a bar seat. The bartender took out her bad day on us. Right after the last couple left, we were about to sit down and she snapped at us that she had to clean it and told us to wait. We stood there and waited for 15 minutes. She eventually didn't clean or clear anything and her coworker did it; this was AFTER my fiancé asked him if we could sit yet. It just left a bad taste in my mouth....we didn't do anything to deserve that type of service. Her coworker was kind, but he was also slammed and hard for him to really give his 100%. I realize it was a stressful and busy day for them, but we also had just come from 4 other restaurants saying they had 2 hour waits. It was date night and we didn't realize that we were back to pre-pandemic dinner waits! (Was probably just due to capacity) ... but anyway, the food is decent so we'll likely come back. Overall decent but a little goofy with the menu. I ordered a filet with a side of mashed potatoes. I was told I'd be up charged $5 (for a $9 side order) because I did not order the roasted potatoes (huh?) which were not on the menu. When asked to clarify the server said " I just work here". We also ordered a $55 three course meal which included a $10 up charge for the steak frites which means it's not a $55 menu. Finally, the menu recommends temperatures up to medium for steaks and warns any thing over medium cannot be returned or refunded (classy). We ordered medium and one steak came out well done. Another disappointing trip to National Harbor. I was a HUGE fan of Bond 45 having been to the one in NYC multiple times. My husband no longer trusts my "we have to go here - it's amazing". The bartender, while very friendly when she talked to you, rarely talked to you. When we got there to eat, we sat at the bar as it wasn't that crowded. Mistake - as the bartender spent all her time at the other end of the bar talking to a group and drinking her coffee. I could barely get her attention when she did look up from her stories. Then add to it what I believe was the manager (based on her looking authoritative when she walked over to the hostess stand) had her boyfriend at the bar. So she spent all her time standing behind him. And unless she is a fire breathing dragon, she was vaping (she thought discretely) at the bar. Said boyfriend at the bar was in a hoodie with the hood pulled over his baseball cap. So I also lost points with my husband for making him put on a collared shirt because it used to be a bit more upscale. We won't be back and corporate should know this franchise is bringing them down. read more

Birthday Dinner for my 19 y/o princess. Location, service and ambiance are top-tier. Expect to spend at least $50 pp which is on par with selection and service. Great choice if you're looking for steak and don't want to dine in the city. Surf and Turf - 5/5 I initially frowned at the petit crab tot (too small to be called a cake) on top of my filet but it was scrumptious and just enough. Filet was perfect thickness to still be flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium as requested. Lamb Chops - 5/5 we travel a lot and have had some top tier lamb and were impressed we these - some of the better we've had in the area. Short Ribs - 3.5/5 daughter didn't care for them but that's because she probably really wanted a steak. They were fine to me - nothing noteworthy. Potatoes were a little blah though. read more

The ambiance here was beautiful and the food was great. We each had sangria which was refreshing and the garlic bread appetizer was savory. For dinner I had the lobster linguine which was cooked to perfection. The lobster was served in the shell. My husband had chicken Parmesan. He has been looking for the perfect Chicken Parmesan based on this restaurant he used to go to as a kid, and this was the first time he's ever found one that measured up. He would highly recommend. Our total before tip was $113. Overall really enjoyed the restaurant. The workers were friendly. We were able to check our coats and stroller at the front. My Sister and I went out for brunch around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was not busy which was lucky for us as they were not taking reservations. We were seated right away and the waiter promptly came and took our orders. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the ambiance was very relaxed. We both ordered Velvet Margaritas and Chicken Waffles(I know I eat it all the time. I will branch out to something new in the future but I love a good Chicken and Waffles)=~) The margarita although a little sweet was very good. The chicken and waffles were not as good as I expected. They were more like chicken nuggets with a mild Buffalo sauce. The waffle was fine but the roasted potatoes had no seasoning(and you know I am a stickler for seasoning). As I have said previously, any place can have an off day. I will try again in the future to see if the food improves as the ambiance and service was very good. read more

Me and my boyfriend decided to have a spontaneous date night in National Harbor. We attempted to make reservations here but were unable to. So when we got to National Harbor we just walked in and was seated right away. *FYI they don't accepted reservations on the weekend. We had an amazing dinner and drinks. I ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop and my boyfriend ordered the Peach Smash both were delicious. We had the meatballs and arinchini as appetizers and the Chicken Parmigian and the Shrimp Scampi for our meal. Everything came out delicious but it didn't come out hot. Absolutely amazing. We walked by multiple restaurants in the area this evening comparing menus. We chose this because meatballs sounded good and the ambience of the the outdoor seating, entrance and indoor looked amazing. Plus I was extremely curious about the name of the restaurant and felt there was a story behind it. We were welcomed by 2 gentleman at the door and seated right away at the table with the "best view". We had a salad, garlic bread, spaghetti & meatballs and the house made meatballs. It all was extremely fantastic and to top off the night.... As we were walking out we were able to get the story behind the name of the restaurant, even down to why the clock in the name is set at 2:30. Really cool background and now I will try to go to New York to dine at that location as well! Overall, not a great experience. This restaurant is very hot as in the AC is not functioning as it should be. We were one of a few patrons in there, and everyone was fanning themselves. When I asked the staff about the temperature, they said it's always this hot here. If I knew that, I wouldn't have come in. Additionally, there was a mistake with my food that I had to send back. Bond 45 was just okay and for the price you pay, I was expecting so much more. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the establishment wasn't crowded at all. The restaurant itself is huge! It wasn't until searching for the restrooms that I discovered the size of the place. The outdoor seating was such a beautiful vibe and picture worthy. This is the perfect establishment for date night or gathering with friends. That said, you're definitely paying for the ambiance as the food was subpar, but the drinks were pretty. Our table ordered the Salmon, Scallops with Truffle Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Alfredo, and Garlic Bread. The Alfredo was dry and we had to ask for extra sauce. The Scallops and risotto were perfectly cooked. The garlic bread was the best thing on the table and I would highly recommend it. Although it was barely enough for three people tbh. The food was hot and fresh when delivered. They definitely make everything from scratch. Oh, I will say they stated they recently started doing brunch at Bond45 but only has 4 brunch items on the menu. Other than that, you'll have to order from the dinner menu. It was a beautiful 67 degrees. We were looking for a place to just have cocktails and enjoy the sunny cool weather. There is inside and outside seating. I requested a table in the balcony area. We got lucky with a table facing the Ferris wheel and water. Perfect to sit and enjoy a couple of cocktails. We ordered the Rose Sangria and Whiskey Peach Smash. As an appetizer we ordered the Calamari. Enjoyed all of them. Good music playing and the decor gave us s spring feel. We will definitely try this place again for dinner. read more

Chose this spoke as we were looking for a good steak in the area. At the harbor there are two dedicated restraunts for this. We showed up just after 5 when it was only a little busy. By the time we left there was a wait. There were two things that stood out which were the pesto garlic garlic bread and our waiter Aris. The had a deal that was a pre-fixe menu starting at $80 pp. However for the steaks you had to pay either a $15 or $20 upcharge making it $100. We both chose the ribeyes which were cooked to our preference (medium and medium rare). The salads were Ceasars which were good. We also received Alfredo pasta as a pre entre which was the 3rd best part. Unfortunately the steak and mashed potatoes lacked ALL the flavor and in my opinion ruined the total overall experience here. While we try not to repeat restraunts, this would be a place if you are going for a good steak, I would not recommend. Again Aris service was amazing and pleasant so we really appreciated that. read more

National Harbor is a convenient spot for me to go out for an evening out. If you've been there, you know there's plenty of parking but all of it costs. There will be no free parking. You know that you can walk the area easily and see what is going on around the "downtown" The area is fine. Bond 45 inside was attractive. they have some semi-outdoor seats in the back with a view of the water if you want to see the river. However, in the fall, it's a little chilly so we opted to sit inside. The service was great. The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. They explained the questions we had and made recommendations. The food was very good but not great. I've had better Italian in old town just on the other side of the river also with great views. If you don't want to leave National Harbor, this is a solid pick. However, if you don't mind going elsewhere, you can get better Italian in a few other locations. read more

The food was really good and I would rave about it except one major issue. My friend and I split the bill and paid separately. They charged my friend's card twice and she didn't notice until the next day. She called them to resolve the issue and the person she spoke to said, "Oh, this happens all the time". They said they would reach back out to her the next day, possibly give a refund, but crickets! They never called her. I just simply cash app'd my friend but thank goodness she caught it. Also, I thought it was strange that all the Black people in the restaurant were sitting in the little hubs that's around the perimeter of the restaurant. Food was just ok. I would have preferred Olive Garden - cheaper and same quality food. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese. I've had way better. My sister said her salmon wasn't great (she said the salmon she's had at Yard House is much better). Presentation of this plate was also very lacking, in my opinion. For a "higher-end" restaurant, you'd expect better quality in all aspects. It was a piece of salmon tossed over a bed of bland beans. My husband's Chicken Piccata was also not it. Presentation for this plate was very poor. Service was mediocre. They sat us pretty fast without reservation on a Saturday at 6 p.m. nothing to write home about with this place. I would definitely opt for a new restaurant next time I visit the harbor. Overall, I give it a 5.5/10. Wouldn't return anytime soon. read more
