Came here with a party of 12. Had to have two separate tables due to COVID-19 regulations. The tables could not be directly next to each other. Bummer! Started with the Ahi Tuna Sashimi. Crusted with sesame seeds and wasabi on the side. For my entree, I had the sirloin steak and shrimp special. Served with braised spinach and jasmine rice. Very fresh and flavorful. We love Bonefish Grill and have been frequent customers of the one in Brookfield WI over the years and the Bonefish located in the Villages, FL. The Brookfield location customer service outshines FL by a mile. And our waitress last night in Brookfield confirms that statement. Jasmine was attentive and has the sweetest personality. However, service aside, I would suggest to anyone, not to order the Fin Martini. Cute idea - with a sharks tale ice cube floating in your martini glass. But I would have thought it would have been a thin layer of ice on top of a martini as martini's usually don't have ice cubes. But this ice cube, although cute took up half the glass and you get a third of a normal martini. I saw plenty of martinis - pomegranate, cosmo, etc being served without the huge ice cube. I put the huge ice cube on a side plate and I asked Jasmine if I could order another but without the ice cube as I would use the ice cube I had and I mentioned the lack of a drink. She said the bartender wouldn't do it without the huge ice cube - so if I were ordering a drink again it wouldn't be the Fin Martini, as you really don't get more than a couple of sips. Also, I ordered the summer Halibut with miso sauce over rice and sautéed spinach. Flavor was wonderful but it was served just warm and the halibut was a bit dry and slightly overcooked. My husband had a pineapple shrimp dish served over a coconut risotto that was delicious with plenty of shrimp! And the Crab, Corn Chowder was good as usual. The food was not what I expected. I ordered the steak and crab cake pairing. I asked for a medium well steak which was well done and tough. The crab cake was over cooked, falling apart and crumbled When i asked the waitress about the steak, she replied that a medium well steak had no pink. And a well done steak was cooked hard. Our waitress was informed that it was a birthday celebration in which she dryly replied "ok". She very rude when talking to her she was short, unattractive and whipped off mid sentence. When ordering drinks (aside from happy hour) we were told we had to drink all of our current drink before putting in an order for another round. Before orders were put in ,she was informed that we would only have 5 attending and would like separate checks and when We asked for the separate checks at the end, she told us that she had already put our order in as one and the action could not be undone. So we obliged. At the end of our meal, we were not asked if we wanted dessert nor did she acknowledge the birthday individual with a birthday treat w/candle. When we tried to speak to her about it, before writing a review or speaking with the Manger, she gave an excuse for her bad behavior. Finally we asked for the manager (around 815p) we noticed she talked to the manager once again pleading her case in which the manager did not come to talk to us so we left. We went outside the establishment for about 20 minutes and the manager still did not come. This was the worse experience ever and our time spent celebrating our friends birthday was ruined. On July 11, I called the restaurant to speak with the manager and was put on hold. On a good note, the ambience was good. Jeremy recommended tonight's special, a wood-grilled salmon, topped with blue king crab and creamy spinach, served with your choice of two signature sides! It was truly great! When we walked in on Saturday at 5:30 pm the place is already packed. The wait and service staff were all very welcoming and seated us right away without a reservation. The place looked clean and classy and between customers they changed out the white table liner. All the servers were wearing their white uniform and stayed very professional. Husband had the steak and lobster tail and I had the scallop and shrimp linguine. Both were cooked just right and tasty. We had the crab cake as appetizer that came off fresh and actually made with crab meat which we wolfed down before we remembered to take a picture. The only thing my husband didn't enjoy as much is the carrot lava cake which the cake itself was like a regular carrot cake but served with white cream frosting and runny white filling. While husband generally doesn't like carrot cake at all he had no problem helping me out due to the generous portion served. read more

Lunch today was a nightmare from arrival to leaving. Even though I had a reservation, I had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The server never brought bread or the requested water. When I ordered bang bang shrimp I was told there was a 50 minute wait so I ordered corn chowder which was the worst I've ever had. Magically the party seated behind me was able to order bang bang shrimp with no problem or 50 minute wait. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli entree but was served an appetizer the size of a bread plate. Between poor service and too many problems with food, I have no desire to ever return. I realize there are problems with shortages of servers and kitchen staff, but I've never experienced so many problems at any other restaurant. There are plenty of other options. read more

Really disappointing experience yesterday. Bonefish is one of my wife's favorite places so we all went on her birthday. Had reservations for 7. Was told when we arrived, at 7, that they would try to find us a table. We had reservations! Then we got sat at the table closest to the kitchen, despite nearly half the restaurant being open. Very loud. Then we had a training waiter. I'm very glad that they are training new staff, but the main waitress training him was not good. She was nosy and getting involved in personal discussions at our table. Incredibly inappropriate. Then we had dinner. We were told that most of the specials were sold out. At a 7PM reservation you have half your specials sold out in a restaurant that was barely half full. When we did get our food, half the meals were cold. Not warm. But cold. I came here for the first time at 11:00am on a Sunday with my mother for lunch. Our server, Rebecca was very friendly and answered our endless questions. I'm not one to observe atmosphere but it was kind of a classy place- shiny wood floors, cloth napkins and weighted silverware. My mother had a filet with potatoes and zucchini and I had the "Bang Bang" tacos with soup. I didn't get a picture but she also had a salad and we shared an order of crab cakes (it's a lot, I know! It was the day after we saw Jimmy Buffett... we had a good time in Margaritaville). The salad was on a chilled plate, the reason I give it five stars. It really does make a difference when the dishes are the same temperature as your food. The crab cakes fell apart, but that meant they weren't full of bread! And the sauce they came with was tangy and had a hint of sweetness. There was a bit left to be desired with the soup, all of the crab sunk to the bottom and it was under seasoned but that was made up for by the "Bang Bang" tacos. They were crispy but were tossed in a creamy and spicy coating. The lettuce was fresh and there was plenty of shrimp inside, but they weren't overstuffed. I don't care for steak, so not much to be said. My mom said she liked it. And the potatoes were in need of black pepper, but my mother doesn't like it much. This is a chain restaurant that serves good seafood. I love the bang bang shrimp. Every Wednesday there are Bang Bang shrimp deals as an appetizer or meals. If you have never tried Bang Bang shrimp before or you absolutely love it, this is the time to go. The sauce covering the fried shrimp is delicious. I also like their mussels, lobster bisque, and ahi tuna sashimi for appetizers. For meals, I've only had their salmon and mahi mahi. I haven't been disappointed so far. I ate here for the first time recently and had a really tasty meal. My cousin had the filet and cold water lobster tail. He said the cut of meat was excellent and that all the food was very good. My husband had a shrimp salad and cold water lobster tail and ate his plate clean. I had the spicy tuna bowl: jasmine rice, mango salsa, sushi grade spicy tuna slices, and avocado. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I got my meal as part of the Tuesday night meal special; I believe it was about $15 for a salad, entree, and dessert - good deal! Our server was excellent! He was courteous and offered good descriptions of the food on the menu (ex: whether the pot stickers were heavy on the ginger), and welcome suggestions on entrees (he recommended the excellent sushi bowl). Came here second day in a row. It was bang bang shrimp Wednesday. That wasn't the dish for me. So I thought I would try the scallops, and they were over cooked. Server notice I was not enjoying my m3sl, and asked if there was anything wrong. I said that the scallops were wrong. They immediately put in a new order for me. The scallops were better however I would not order again. Yesterday service a four. It was lobster night. Ok this place came through for us! So we ordered Christmas dinner and even after I asked the place we ordered it from to deliver it to us on the 23rd they delivered nothing. So at the 11th hour I contacted bonefish and it was their closing time and they were able to solve our problem.... I had more than enough food to feed my family in Christmas. My wife and I were in the area and we have always wanted to try this place since we both love seafood. I am going to throw out this disclaimer as it may have an impact on my rating of this place, my wife and I are really not into the whole fine dining thing. We typically lean toward more casual places, so keep that in mind while reading. First off when we came in I will have to say that we both felt like the place was a little boring inside, the decor was just blah. Kind of went along with the neatly dressed hostess, and our server all dressed in white. On a positive note our server was very friendly and explained everything very well. On to the food which is what made the rating on this place so difficult. The menu is a bit pricey for our liking but we knew that going into it. I had the fish and chips which was good, just your basic fish and chips. The cod was not over breaded or greasy, it was tasty. Now my wife on the other hand ordered their Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos and I have to say they were some of the best I have ever had. The shrimp had great flavor and were perfectly cooked. Now typically 3 star places are some place I would never go back. But I would go back to this place just for those tacos, they were awesome! All in all, not really our kind of place. I ate here once, and I was not convinced by the menu. It was small and the dishes were all very standard (lobster, salmon, cod). What I did enjoy was the twelve-piece ahi tuna platter. It is served "seared" so it's much like sushi. Ahi tuna melts on the tongue. They have a nice "Bang Bang Shrimp" platter that is spicy fried shrimp. I dined here many years ago and didn't care for it then. Yesterday my husband suggested we eat here. Things have not changed; the food was as awful as before and the service was just ok. My salmon looked and tasted like it came frozen in a bag of 3, some lemon butter caper sauce was drizzled on it (I guess to give it appeal) and was tasteless and gelatinous. For a place that's as well placed in terms of location and with it's good interior, everything else about it significantly lacks in service and good food. Overall I went their twice. We tried their mahi mahi & shrimp and their pasta the first time. The food was moderately prepped but no unique taste of ingredients either marinated on or at all. It's what happens when you put the ingredients together, bake for a minimum time (suspect one or two items were microwaved), and then serve. The second time I went I had their half-pound burger. Don't be fooled this is not a wagyu burger as they falsely sold it as. I ordered a medium rare but got a medium instead. The fries were warmed (microwaved) and like the first time we went it was put together with no unique taste and just warm enough. The service is short & snippy. The service likes being rude with each other so they certainly get their practice in that way. Overall the first time service was snippy & snobby attitude. I ate here just went it newly opened up and I had an unsatisfactory experience that I did not feel like returning until tonight. My husband and I started off with their famous Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. It was really good! I tried the entree special, Grilled Swordfish and Pumpkin Ravioli. Loved the pumpkin ravioli!! It should be a dish of its own on the menu. The swordfish was okay. It was not as flavorful as other components on the plate. To finish off, we shared the Macadamia Nut Brownie for dessert. This was very decadent and delicious! I love the variety of cocktails on the menu but I went for a glass of wine (Acrobat Pinot Noir) which was really good. It was this tiny thin dry over cooked piece of chicken with a very small amount of mushrooms (no prosciutto) and very little sauce. My husband and I went here for dinner on Saturday and I can't say that I was impressed. The service was rushed literally 45 minutes for drinks appetizer and dinner. I felt like I had to scarf my food down because how fast everything came out. I think the portion size is really small you definitely don't get what you pay for. Everything was bland atlantic salmon and steak with the exception of the bang bang shrimp. Just not impressed and I was really hoping that it would be good considering the reviews. read more

This is a hard one, been here many times and usually good fare, tonight I ordered baja stripped bass and seasonal vegetables with a side of Brussel sprouts, along with a couple of Grey goose martinis. First, Martinis perfect!! Brussel sprouts amazing! Fish not sot good, I got the thinest slice of some white fish way over cooked and a handful of ok broccoli. To say the least I ate the broccoli over the the fish. Left 90% of the fish. They did comp one drink when I complained. It's not about the $26.00 I spent for the fish I really had my heart set on a nice thick piece of stripped bass.
