We usually sit up at the bar because this place gets so packed! We love the happy hour here from 4-630pm. I tried most of th hour cocktails and my favorite is the blueberry lemon drop. Been here about 4 times now and every time has been awesome and excellent (there was one time I came on like Fire Shrimp day or something and it was slammed, and I don't know my lady didn't think the shrimp was worth it to come for only half price.) However, Gluten free omission lager beer, gluten free menu, gluten free chocolate cake with ice cream you can't go wrong. Just ask for a gf menu at the front and let your mouth water, I also pick my fish, sides, etc and the Sea Bass with the Sweet Potato Mash, and a side of Jasmine rice with butter all over is like epic epic epicness. It's moderately pricey, but worth it, especially when they accommodate allergy patrons such as myself. If you don't want to sit on the classy side, pull up on the bar side which I always enjoy, TVs, faster service, and easier access to drinks. Bonefish is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Little Rock. Everything here is delicious and reasonably priced - cocktails, wine, appetizers, soup/salad, entrees, and desserts. The ambiance is just perfect. I frequent this restaurant at least once a month whether alone, with my boyfriend or with a group, and I have never had a bad experience. Just recently, our server was a young gentleman by the name of Michael. He was very prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about not only the menu items but additional offerings and suggestions as well. For your Birthday, don't expect free dessert or a song. It's not that sort of establishment (and I am thankful). However, you do receive a very classy box of chocolates that are yummo! read more

This was a great date night spot for us in our new baby season. The atmosphere is classy, but it's also family friendly. The acoustics allow for private conversations, but the ambient noise is not overbearing. It is both a low key place and nicer dining experience. Oooh man - I'd heard mixed things, some people love it, some people hate it, but my experience here was absolutely top-notch. Right off the bat, our service was excellent. And we were difficult customers, going out for a fancy meal dressed in work clothes, indecisive, and stood in the doorway looking at menus for longer than we probably needed to - but through it all, the staff never for a second seemed impatient or judgmental. There's a bar and a dining area, both fairly close, but separated by lighting and a wall. Enough that you can still see the bar (and it looks terrific!) but not so much that you feel like you're in the bar if you didn't want to be. Our food was amazing. Even the complimentary appetizer, just some plain bread with dipping sauce, but the dipping sauce is a pesto olive oil that could be a meal by itself. It's on the expensive side, but really not bad considering the quality and size of portions. There are plenty of options in the $15 range that are enough for two to split, and there are options closer to $10. We made the "mistake" of ordering an entree each, and while everything was absolutely delicious, we had to be rolled out of there! Full bar, with a good selection of beer and wine, and some snazzy specialties that I'm going to have to go back for :) If you're at all a fan of Creme Brulee (my grandmother judged everywhere she went on theirs), the folks at Bonefish make one that's definitely not to be missed! read more

Absolutely the worst. Was seated and waited over 10 mins. Didn't even get a water. No one even looked at us.

To start the hostest was less than pleasant. Only had about a 10 minute wait not bad but when we were "seated" the guy just kind of pointed to a table and told us to sit there. No menus or silverware. Took a while for our server to come to the table but to be fair to him he mentioned several times he was also having to cook our food and his Coworkers were not helping and leaving him hanging. The entrance was filthy. Dirty napkins by the doors, and something smudged on the revolving door windows. Mens restroom was dirty and had a pile of hand sanitizer gooped up in the floor. read more

I came here on July 5, 2013 to celebrate the husband's birthday. We were a group of four and arrived around 9pm. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and ceviche as appetizers, both were excellent and a large enough portion for the 4 of us to share. As entrees we ordered two different kinds of fish with the chimmichuri sauce, the tilapia stuffed with crab and the fish and chips. Everyone's fish was delicious and the sides that came with them were great too - can't remember what all they were, but the mashed potatoes stood out in particular. At one point I asked for extra sauce and the chef had gone home for the night (since we had arrived close to closing) and the waitress said that the manager had started making a fresh batch for me! I told her that wasn't necessary, but I felt that was a step above for the manager to offer to do that, rather than just saying the kitchen was closed. The only con I can think of is that they had said they would give us a free dessert for the occasion but forgot...we probably should have passed on it anyway considering how stuffed we were though! I definitely recommend this location to any seafood lovers out there. read more

The mussels are amazing, bang bang shrimp and calamari are all top notch. The crab cakes had a ton of crab but needed a little more egg to hold it together. It's a great room too. Ate at Bonefish Grill in Little Rick last night. Arrived around 8:00 pm. No waiting on a Friday night? Promptly seated and our waitress, Michelle cheerfully welcomed us. Ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp for appetizer. Delicious. It was a little spicy, but every bite was perfect. We shared the steak and lobster plate. We had the Garlic Mashed potatoes and spinach for sides. Everything was perfectly cooked. I agree that the warm ciabatta bread and dipping oil was fantastic (given at every table) read more

Good food, good service. It's a little pricey for someone on a budget, but you won't go away hungry. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos and the Sirloin and Crab Cake dinner. Tacos were great and come with a choice of sides - we had house chips. The sirloin was cooked perfectly - the crab cake was tasty but seemed to fall apart a little and was mushy. Was hoping it would have been a little more dense. All-in-all a wonderful meal. The restaurant is a little dark (with a dark ceiling) - but it was quiet and the service was good. I've been to the Bonefish Grill in Northwest Arkansas and now here in Little Rock and they're both great. I came for lunch and was seated right away. It was nice to have a quiet setting. Normally it gets pretty busy during dinner service, especially the bar side. Started with the Fried Calamari. Didn't seem to be cooked as properly as I've had it before. The batter wasn't sticking and seemed like maybe it should've cooked for another minute or two. I love Calamari but the mini octopus that is served with it kinda turns me off. I still ate a couple but it's the visual aspect that's unappealing. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos w/ Fries. Absolutely fantastic. I request a side of honey mustard to which I discovered was not very good. I opted to stick with my side of ketchup instead. The service was 100% flawless. Out waiter was perfect. Despite the few minor discrepancies, I will still be back. Very pleased with my visit. read more

We've been there 3-4 times and have always only sat at the bar and had the bar menu. Never have we been disappointed. Bang bang shrimp is a must, and also enjoy the crab cakes and crab bisque. My boyfriend loves the potstickers. Drinks are always good... Probably the best blue cheese dirty martini I've ever had. The white cranberry Cosmo was also something I'll have again when I go back. This has to be one of the most inconsistent BoneFish grills. I eat here about one a week, and 50% of the time I have to send the fish back because it's overcooked. Last visit I ordered the Sea Bass and it was full of bones. Maybe that's why it's called "BoneFish Grill..." They do seem to try and correct the issues, but when I tell them during my order that I want my fish cooked medium rare+, and I say if they bring it out overcooked, I'm sending it back. Well when they bring it out, and it's already chard on the bottom, bet yet they still serve it....ugh! Back it goes. read more

I love bonefish grill, usually. I came tonight because I have been craving it. I sat at the bar with a girlfriend for drinks and dinner and she got here about 5 min before I did. It took both of us almost 20 min to even be acknowledged. Another 10 to get our drinks. Then we told the bartender that we were ready to order food, she told us to hold on and never came back. We then decided that we were just going to move to a table for dinner. Asked for our checks and we sat there with our cards ready to pay but ended up having to leave cash because it took so long. Included us 2 there was only 10 people sitting at the bar. We are literally still sitting here at the table, 15 min later, and not one server has come by to get our order or even speak to us. So we are about to get up and leave but this is ridiculous and the worst service I have ever had. The service and food here are both excellent. Servers are fast and gracious and the chefs don't mind substituting, adding, or deleting something from your order. They also have the BEST cocktails - the Mule and Chocolate martinis are my favorites. We usually start with the Bang-Bang shrimp, and my husband usually chooses the filet, always perfectly cooked. The last time I was there, I had the crab cakes for an appetizer and the Cobb salad with salmon - they threw on a few artichoke hearts and palm hearts at my request. I also love their fish and chips. As an old OSI employee I always got a discount at Outback, Bonefish, Carrbba's, so I used to go to Bonefish pretty frequently. My husband and I went a while back for the first time in a lonnng time. Everything was great. I always get the seared ahi tuna appetizer as my entree and it was great, as usual. The service is always good, and I enjoy the ambiance. He had a beer or two, I just sipped on a sprite but the beer mug was frosty and the pour was perfect. My only observation, not negative, I just noticed that their complimentary bread is different now. I liked the older stuff better. The new bread isn't bad, and I'm sure it's a company standard thing. No big deal, just a difference I noticed. read more

I try to stick with only locally owned and operated restaurants. I wish people would not invite me out to dinner at chain restaurants like this. Places like this are obviously designed down to the menu by some corporate entity somewhere far away. You can taste the incredibly poor quality of the seafood and the factory like forced enthusiasm of the staff. Maybe they just had an off night in the kitchen. The greeters were very nice, and our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. But the food. The sautéed spinach was the only thing that wasn't over cooked besides the mashed potatoes. But the spinach was so salty my husband couldn't eat it. My husband had the cobia and I had the mahi with shrimp. All three were tough and required a lot of chewing. Thank goodness for the mango salsa and the chimichurri to give a little taste to the seafood. My mahi was supposed to be blackened but I think that meant it was just left on the grill a long time. We both had broccoli as a side item, and it was also overcooked and mushy. The best part of the meal was the dipping sauce for the bread. Not sure if the kitchen is short staffed or has new cooks or what, but for the price of these meals, they should have been much better. We eat a lot of fresh seafood on the coasts and have a pretty good idea of what it should taste like. My husband buys fresh fish from the local seafood market when we're at the beach, and his fish is MUCH better unfortunately than what we had tonight. For restaurant fish in town, I guess we need to stick to the place down in Riverdale owned by a local chef. We had high hopes, but this didn't meet our expectations. read more

I've been here about half a dozen times with different groups of people, and I am very pleased thus far. For this review, I'll focus on the most recent trip as a group of four. Upon arriving, there was a 30 minute wait, but there was plenty of room at the bar, so we weren't left without entertainment. For the most part, everyone enjoyed their drinks. Mango Martini: A+ Margarita: A+ Rogue Dead Guy Ale: A+ Strawberry Martini: B- (They put a leaf in it that imparts a powerful leafy flavor) Once seated, our waiter was cheerful and knowledgeable. (One criticism I have from previous times at Bonefish is that the waitstaff could use a little bit more personality.) We shared four appetizers. Bang Bang Shrimp: A+ Maryland Crab Cakes: A+ Saucy Shrimp: A+ Calamari: B (a little bland) The entrees were also very well received with the exception of one of the specials: the crab-crusted pompano. The menu said it had a sweet, garlicky flavor and was topped with crab meat. The first half of the description couldn't have been more wrong. There was no trace of garlic and it was in no way sweet. The consensus around the table was that it was just incredibly fishy. It came as two breaded fillets stacked on top of one another. The presentation and flavor was more reminiscent of a campfire trout than a sweet, garlicky, delicate fish. As for the crab meat on top, I suppose there was a good tablespoon of it. I do not recommend the crab-crusted pompano. Here are the grades for our entrees: Ahi Tuna (Tokyo Style) w/ Asparagus: A+ Coconut Shrimp w/ Garlic Whipped Potatoes: A+ Blackened Chilean Sea Bass w/ Garlic Whipped Potatoes: A+ Crab Crusted Pompano w/ Garlic Whipped Potatoes: C The desserts were simply excellent. We tried something rich and chocolaty, and something lighter. Bananas Foster (which the entire staff insisted on calling Banana Fosters): A+ Chocolate Cake: A+ All in all, Bonefish Grill is a great place to spend a Saturday evening--great food, great ambiance. I've had hits and misses with my experiences at Bonefish. Our party of 10, that's right 10 people out for a birthday party, hit it on a pretty busy Thursday night. So, having visited several times in the past, I was determined that this trip would be the one I write about There are a couple of things to know about Bonefish: yes, it gets busy quite often and yes, the Bang-Bang Shrimp is great. I will get this out of the way: the food is wonderful. I have yet to have a dish there that wasn't great! What I was impressed the most about last night was how well everyone in our area, not just our party of 10, were attended to. The table had a mixture of orders: trout, scallops & shrimp, the night's scallop special, and even a kids plate of popcorn shrimp. Everything came out together and the table went pretty quiet. We had a great evening and I can only hope that every other visit we have is as memorable. read more
