We came to Bonefish Grill for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The experience was ok. The restaurant was basically empty, but service was a little slow. Our waitress was really nice, but she kept missing people when taking orders and seemed flustered. The appetizer plates at the table were a little crusty too, which kind of put me off. The bread was nice and I liked the dipping oil, but the butter was frozen when it came to us. For appetizers, we got the imperial dip and crab topped bang fries. I really liked the appetizers. Both had a ton of flavor and lots of seafood. They were also easy to share with our larger party. For my main entree, I got the Baja fish tacos with fries. The fish in my tacos was cold and some pieces were tough. The veggies weren't that fresh. It was a little underwhelming. My coworkers got the chicken lily and salads and loved them, so I guess the tacos are just one of their weaker dishes. Overall, I'd come back, but I'd manage my expectations. read more

Have been to Bonefish loads of times. Generally speaking it's been a great experience for "chain" restaurant seafood dining. The food is always fresh and they offer a nice variety of seasonal menu specials throughout the year so there's usually something new to try. This review will be mainly focused on my most recent visit to the longwood location. Made a reservation and my mom arrived ahead of me (a first!) she was seated no problem, but when I arrived 5 minutes after her they had no clue where she was seated so I had to walk around the dining room searching for her. It was a Wednesday evening and moderately busy. Once I found her we were greeted by a server who brought us water and gave us menus. Then she never returned. In fact it was 23 minutes we sat there waiting for her to return. I told my mom we should just leave and as we were about to a manager walked by and asked if she could help. She took our order and then sent a new server to assist us. Not the usual experience but definitely worth noting. I normally wouldn't wait that long. My go to app is of course the bang bang shrimp but they had a new app on the menu, crab fries, that had the bang bang sauce and so I decided to give them a try instead. They were ok. The fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned and the remoulade was on point. Honestly the crab didn't really add much to the dish. I'm glad I tried it but I'll probably not order again. My mom ordered the sea bass as usual (it's her favorite) and I actually changed it up and ordered a filet and upgraded to a premium side for the creamed spinach. My steak was cooked perfectly (or not cooked see photo lol) and the creamed spinach was a huge delicious portion. My mom had no complaints about her fish and enjoyed the coleslaw as well. Other than the hiccups with service in the beginning of the evening it was an enjoyable meal and always great to catch up with mom. read more

This experience was pretty much of a disappointment. I hadn't been to any Bonefish in a while, and the food has markedly gone downhill. For a chain, they always had good fresh fish. There were 15 of us, celebrating Mother's Day with my mother-in-law. Two wait staff accommodated us ok, but the waitress for my half of the table forgot my lemons twice. She was otherwise pretty good. I had ordered the grilled mahi with shrimp. Well, it did take a bit to register why my fish was so dry, and me deluding myself that it just needed the toppings provided. After eating most of the delicious shrimp, I realized the fish was overcooked. Tasted nothing like fresh grilled fish. Really, really needed the lemon! And fish is literally in their name. My sides were broccoli and jasmine rice. The broccoli was cooked just right, as I dislike the way most restaurants think it should be served - nearly raw. However, the jasmine rice was JUST plain rice, no seasoning, no nothing, just flavorless, sticky, clumpy, weird rice. For this type of restaurant, the bill was pretty hefty, not to mention we split the bill four ways and left generous tips. I wouldn't have minded had the food been good, not half good, or half ok. I'm afraid I, nor our group, will not be back. If our family suggests another get-together, we will need to go elsewhere. read more

Stopped in yesterday on our way home from work and we had a good experience. We sat at the bar and John was the bartender. Mistakes do happen, we ordered the three course meal. Our salads came out quick, and then our meals were not placed. The people that came in after us were served, and John immediately realized something was wrong. He went back and made sure our orders were corrected and talked to the manager. All of this without us complaining. (My husband's tacos still were not hot enough but he enjoyed them either way). They gave us a discount on our bill and also gave us a gift card to come back with. The food was very good, and the menu selections and prices were good! Overall this was a good experience. Good thing my husband and i split the shrimp tacos as it was my daughter's graduation meal and we had six people . The bill was outrageous but that is to be expected . One of the better Uber eats experiences I've had.. got the lemon butter salmon, jasmine rice, and seasonal veggies (green beans). The green beans were cooked to my liking .. a bit soft. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I was impressed seeing as though I order a delivery from Uber eats! I didn't know what to expect there but it worked out. The rice had a nice texture for the most part with a few areas that had hardened up. The bread that comes with olive oil on the side was fresh and perfect soft/crunchy balance. Overall, I enjoyed it! I went here Easter weekend and thought it was gonna be extremely packed so I made a reservation just in case but when I walked in got seated right away and not all the tables were taken which I was shocked for a Saturday! For my cocktail I ordered a blue pineapple and it was sweet the way I liked it and then for my main entree I got the sea bass and enjoyed it and for the sides I got the bacon Mac n cheese and spinach! Our steak's were bland the green beans were bland and the mashed potatoes seriously C'mon. So they up upgraded Our dessert due to the inconvenience of our food not being served correctly, and when they brought out the dessert dish, they brought it out on a dirty chilled plate!! Called early in afternoon on a Sunday ( Jan 15, 2023) made a 7 o'clock reservation got to the restaurant on time were kept waiting in line since they were busy talking amongst themselves and others did look busy and stressed and that's ok but when it was finally our turn we were told it would be a half an hour at least before we would be seated!! Needless to say we didn't stick around, I must point out there were many tables empty some clean some dirty, I guess they were understaff since the employees looked as if they were occupied somewhere else rather than paying attention to the people in line. Attended the martini dinner at Bonefish Grill in longwood last night and really enjoyed the whole experience. The food was delicious. The service was excellent as well! Destiny was our server and she did a fantastic job explaining each course and the drink pairings. The managers also came around to make sure everyone was having a good experience! Every course from the salad to the coconut pie desert was a treat. The star of the show for me was probably the 4 signature martinis that came out with each course. They really put time and effort into this event. The decorations and the light up glow sticks were such a fun touch! I would highly recommend trying their special dinners if you get a chance! Get the smoked old fashioned! Super cool presentation and tasty-one of the best in town, for sure. Service is good and food is always consistent. Yum yum yum..I love Bonefish grill. The first time I went to a Bonefish restaurant was thanks to an awesome Yelp Elite event. The level of service was amazing just like at the yelp event. To start we ordered their famous Bang Bang shrimp and oh boy was delicious. It has a little kick so if you're like me and don't really eat spicy be aware of this. For his entree my dad ordered the tuna steak and he said it was delicious. Our waiter recommended it be seared so that it still has all the flavors and my dad loved it. It came with one sauce but our awesome waiter let us sample 3 different sauces. His steak came with 2 sides, garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I can testify that he loved his meal as he didn't have any leftovers. I on the other hand ordered the 6 oz sirloin, medium rare with a side of sautéed spinach and potato gratin. Everything was delicious and to accompany my meal I had the blackberry sangria which super yummy. Our whole experience was really good and I will be a regular at Bonefish Grill. One thing I must add is that a recommend you make a reservation ahead of time because it is a visit busy restaurant. read more

Bonefish is always good but this one in particular is on my "ehh" list. Service was slow (which isn't a bother), ambience is okay, but the food did not hit its mark. I had Lily's Chicken with a side of whipped potatoes and spinach. The best thing on my plate was the whipped potatoes. They were great. The spinach was disgusting (bitter and tasteless... not sure how that's). I had to add salt pepper and extra garlic butter to make it worth my while; same with the chicken. The chicken had no balance because it wasn't well seasoned, there was a bit too much goat cheese, the bitter spinach was on there, and then the asparagus. When made correctly it's a winner. My best friend had the seared tuna steak. It was dry and not so tasty. They waitress forgot to ask her which sauce she'd like, so she brought out all the sauces. She enjoyed the red sauce (don't remember the name). I'm not sure if I'd come back to this location. If I do, I'll just stick to the bang bang shrimp. read more

Thanks to Christmas I got a gift card and decided to try this place out. I did the entrees to go but decided to try the appetizer in house because I wanted to try it fresh from the kitchen. Bang Bang shrimp is a 5/5 it was delicious! It does have a kick but it wasn't too spicy. The batter on the shrimp was light and crispy and it was a very nice size for sharing if you like to share lol for entrees we ordered a grilled salmon with the pineapple salsa, grilled salmon with lemon butter, signature pasta with chicken and a grilled chicken with a pan Asian sauce/glaze and a side of the bacon Mac and cheese. Over all ebt thing was great. The chicken was grilled perfectly and was not dry. The salmon was also grilled to perfection and the portion sizes for the proteins were very good. I think the pasta dish could use a little extra sauce but the portion was a very large serving which I was happy about. Stopped in to Bonefish Grill in Longwood yesterday for weekend Happy Hour with the girls. Jorry was our server and she was very attentive! We ordered a round of the $5 Blueberry Lemon Drop Martinis on the Happy Hour Special which starts daily at 4:00. They were delish! For dinner we had the bang bang shrimp, the imperial cod and the herb crusted trout. Our food came out hot, perfectly prepared and everything was delicious! The ambiance, lighting and sound in the restaurant is really nice here. We especially like the bar area with the comfy booths or nicely padded chairs at the high top seating. Even though it was busy, the managers Mack and Angie came around to check on us and make sure that everything was good! While I recommend because the service was exceptional from Cheryl A; I am a bit hesitant to give a full four to five star rating for several reasons. Firstly I wasn't happy with our seating arrangements which isn't necessarily anyone's fault. But the restaurant was empty and they put us in the far corner with no window or even picture. We were greeted promptly from Cheryl who explained the menu in depth and was extremely knowledgeable. We tried the Parker's Margarita and the Tropic Heat Martini. Both were flavorful and delicious. We started with the bang bang shrimp which has been recommended by a few people and I completely agree! I ended up getting the cod imperial dish while my sister got the Rockefeller Butter Fish dish. Maybe it was because I am not use to cod being cooked this way but I wasn't overly impressed with either dish. Both tasted buttery and had a strong taste which I cannot describe. I have frequented this restaurant for quite some time. My friend and I usually have dinner there prior to attending n evening event. Last night we had a server named Crystal K that was just awful. I arrived first. She greeted me and never greeted my friend when she arrived. We were not offered cocktail and had to ask about them. She took our order and never came back to the table. Our food arrived via the food runner and the wine we ordered was delivered by the bartender. She zoomed past our table several times with no eye contact or words. She never asked if we needed anything further or if our food was ok. The halibut I ordered was so overcooked. Halibut should be light and flaky. Both my friend and I had to wave her down to get the check. Mind you we are two older women and I was facing a table that the same server was waiting on that had to younger men. She attended to them very well. Through one of her passes she dropped off a plastic container to my friend with no words. We were not taking any leftovers nor did we ask for the container. When we finally got our check I asked her if we had done something to piss her off. She said her service was called silent service. I told her that she never approached the table at all after we received our meals. She then told me that I could have flagged her down as she zoomed by. I told her that it was not my job to flag her down and found her answer inappropriate. She said that ignoring us was not her intention and I explained that it was taken that way. As I explained that my food was overcooked she then told me that since it is cooked on a plank and wood fired that it always comes out dry. I felt like it was my fault for ordering it. As I continued to explain my issue with the food she kept speaking over me. At that point I told her she was doing that and that I was done talking with her. She got the manager who then came over and apologized. She listened to my story, took my check and comped my meal. I have never had this problem at Bonefish before and had always enjoyed my meals there. The manager returned with our checks and apologized again. She also told me that she would have a talk with the server. In my humble opinion and after working in many restaurants in my life , Crystal K should not be a server. We happened to stumble in here December after Red Lobster messed up our place in line. We were very pleasantly surprised. We just came back tonight, hoping that wasn't a fluke... IT WASN'T! Chilean sea bass was fantastic and so were the seasonal picks. The drinks are delicious and strong (see Emily!). My boyfriend literally has never written a review for anything other than ramen and he liked his food so much that it was his idea for us to post reviews. The staff is always friendly and fast, the restaurant is clean with classy ocean themed art, and the food is always cooked perfectly and delicious. They also have seasonal specials which adds nice variety to the already awesome menu. I started with the winter white cosmo and my husband had the smoked old fashioned. Both drinks were smooth and perfectly blended. His old fashioned had the rich smokiness and my cosmo was Sligh sweet and delicate. We had the fresh bread with dipping oil and bang bang shrimp. You can't beat warm, fresh bread and the savory, freshly fried shrimp. My husband got the Cod imperial with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so fresh and flavorful. I got the seasonal Rockefeller butterfish with jasmine rice and asparagus. The butterfish was a savory, flaky dream, the jasmine rice is always delicate and fragrant, and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. We finished with the chocolate molten lave cake. The fresh raspberries and blackberries were really nice, the cake was good but nothing to brag about. I would order everything again because it was great. We were able to get a last minute reservation here on a Saturday night. They sat us right as we arrived and had spectacular service. Our server was prompt all night and stayed on top of everything. The white table clothes and environment make it feel high end. We ordered the scallop and shrimp skewer with broccoli and mashed potatoes. This was absolutely amazing! We made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner, so we were able to be seated right away, but there were walk-ins that were turned away because they were fully booked. There are ample of parking. There are paper table tops, so the kids had fun doodling while waiting for the food. We got a Chilean Sea Bass, which portion was smaller than the other Bonefish Grill that we've been to. It was just as tasty though. The mussels were very good and we highly recommend it. I normally like calamari sautéed in a red sauce vs. the breaded and fried ones, which most seafood restaurants are able to do. Bonefish grill can also accommodate, but they don't have any red sauce in house so it was done in a scampi sauce. It was decent, but not the same... We are giving 4 stars for the slow and infrequent service. Perhaps it was because it was Christmas Eve... but our water was never refilled, and it was difficult to get the waiting staff's attention. Been coming here for many years. Always got great meals. However, last night we were a party of six. Ceaser salad was watered down and chunks of lettuce in it. All of us said. No taste. I ordered Chilean sea bass which was served 3 inches and with Asian sauce. Very tasteless and smallest portion ever. I sent it back. I also ordered creamed spinach and it was good but waitress took it back with sea bass. I ordered the Cajun pasta which my husband had and it was brought to me on a to go box. My friend had fish and scallops also tasteless. One ordered a sauce which was so minuscule it had no taste. Drinks were good. We won't be back anytime soon. What a shame. read more
