Arrived at 4:20pm today to an EMPTY bar and maybe one table in the dining room. Nobody was even present to seat anyone. Sat myself in the bar and at 4:29pm someone acknowledged me. The happy hour is 3-6 and not a soul in the bar, not even a bartender. This was the profound failure of whomever is in charge to ensure staffing levels. Leaving a guest to sit without acknowledgement for almost 10 minutes is inexcusable. That in and of itself would be a review of ZERO! However the server who did eventually serve me was exceptional and turned this situation around quickly. read more

I will start by saying I am only giving 2 stars because our server was awesome. He was very attentive and friendly. That is where it stops though. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was nothing special and tasted like a piece of freezer cooked fish. I asked for veggies only for my side and even though the menu said mixed I was served a bunch of carrots. My boyfriend did not enjoy his meal at all either. We spent over $100 on this meal and it was not worth it. We were super disappointed as we had high hopes for this place. We have never been to a Bonefish before and we will never go again. read more

We went to Bonefish on a Sunday night, 7:00ish. We were a bit skeptical when we walked in. The restaurant and bar were both empty, aside from one table of people. The staff was very nice and responsive. Pretty much ruined our appetite on some delicious appetizers. Very generous in size! My husband and I both had seafood dishes. The portion sizes are more than ample, little to no room for complaints about that. Our food was cooked, seasoned and plated very nicely. Overall we had a great dining experience. It's a very nice restaurant with great atmosphere, service and food. I'm not sure why nobody else was there, or why it is never on our radar to patronize. We will be back! read more

Excellent place for a variety f food. For the price the food is excellent. I had salmon with Garlic mashed potatoes and an appetizer of their popular crusted shrimp. Yum! It looks like they also have a full bar and wine selection. I will be back with friends. read more

I love Bonefish! I had not been in forever and went in for a glass of wine and bang bang shrimp and it was even better then I remembered. I was surprised it was not more busy but I was able to snag a place at the bar. A guy a couple seats ordered the fish tacos and they lookeed delish, he totally cleaned his plate. If you have time and money to burn, this is an alright place to eat, but as a whole I'm not compelled to return or recommend this place to anyone. Food: Alright, but forgettable. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp, and I had the chicken with potatoes au gratin and broccoli. None of it was *bad,* but it was all pretty boring; the sort of thing I could make at home and not be compelled to repeat the recipe again. Drinks: I had the sage pomegranate martini and that was yummy!! Service: It was a quiet night, but service seemed somewhat slow and forgetful. Again, not *bad,* just not anything memorable. Atmosphere: big, modern, dark and quiet. Great for sitting and visiting. Price: Pretty damned expensive considering the quality, and really what put me off about the whole experience. My kids and I waited over 5 minutes to be seated before anyone spoke to us at the front of the restaurant. Mind you, there was one couple seated in the dining area, and about 5 couples in the bar. Then, once the lady sat us with only about 2 words spoken and no apology for the wait, we wait over 10 minutes for service. No one ever came. Not to bring water, not to take an order. Nothing. Used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Came here to celebrate a raise last night. Sat at a table in the bar area. Meal was a travesty. Had four different people interact with us. There were only about six tables seated, and one lady at the bar. Everything was slow, and each time someone said they would return with something (bread, chopsticks, etc.) it never came. House salad was boring. Poke appetizer was flavorless. Even the bang bangs were off. The restaurant was a mess, tables and trays full of old dishes. We waited so long for the check while the one server that was visible wiped glasses and chatted with the bar patron that I finally gave up and walked over to ask for it. Was so excited to see a bonefish grill here in this small town as I'm visiting for training. Went on a Wednesday lunch and sat at the bar. There were literally three other tables in the whole place. Took almost 7-8 minutes for someone to initially speak. I wanted to stay and eat but at that rate i said i better get it to go. 15 minutes in i finally order a side and a bang bang shrimp because this particular location doesn't carry the parm pecan trout (which what i actually came for)...25 minutes later the food comes out. You got to order the Bang Bang Shrimp it's sooooo good! And the Mac and cheese was also good (: I love the way this place looks inside it's so nice. Not ready for real customers yet. I am willing to excuse construction and HVAC guys running around checking vents with IR thermometers but this place needs some time. I love bonefish grill. I have consistently had good food all over the country. This was the one exception. Although the staff said that they opened a few weeks ago they were still getting things figured out. I did a search on Yelp for hot and new places. They advertised a Tuesday price fix menu online. When the waiter showed up I asked about it and he said he had no idea about a special Tuesday menu. He found a copy and brought it over. I ordered a beer (the only IPA on the menu) and was told that they were out. For a restaurant with a more extensive drink menu than chuckey cheese, only one IPA on the menu is a severe short coming in the northwest. About 25 min after arrival and 15 min after ordering the server asked if we would like some bread. The timing was a little off. I ordered the shrimp and scallops my date ordered the crab cake sandwich and we ordered a house salad to split. The French fries that came with the crab cake were the best part of the meal. My shrimp and scallops were severely undercooked (cold in the middle). The scallops had a strong TSP flavor (soaplike) and were not trimmed (still had the foot on). The mango salsa was good but because it was cold only added to the feeling of eating raw seafood. My girlfriend's crab cake was OK but nothing worth recommending. (Her fries were very good. Cooked, hot in the middle and a great batter on them). Our waiter stopped by shortly before we were ready for the check to ask how everything was. As we were finishing a second server brought a desert menu. My meal was supposed to come with a desert but he wasn't sure which were included. We left rather than try to figure out such a complex problem I would NOT recommend Bonefish grill for at least a few months till they get a handle on what they are doing. read more

I don't normally go for the chain places, but I enjoyed the one in Bothell, WA so much, I wanted to try the new Spokane location. Had lunch here. Brooke and Brenden working the bar. Fantastic service which is hard to find these days. Brenden Recommended the fish tacos on the lunch menu. Excellent! Great atmosphere, overall great experience. Finally, a place that is not afraid to spice their food and the fish tastes like fish instead of salt and butter. The pomegranate martini was delicious and served very promptly, and their blackberry smash drink was very refreshing (not too sweet and garnished well with tasty mint). We were also given nice warm bread with a pesto dip that was full of yummy garlic and basil. We ordered off of their happy hour menu and ordered a little bit of everything; some fish tacos, chicken bang bang, some skewered shrimp and some pot stickers. Everything was delicious and the waitstaff was very friendly and didn't pester us constantly. They have a large price diversity too so I feel almost anyone can afford to come here to eat; everything we ordered was in the 6-7 dollar range, and they were generous portions. The fish tacos were large enough to fill me up and they came with fries that were golden brown and crispy and did not taste like the oil they were fried in. We cannot wait to go back to order something else, we were very interested in the wild caught salmon but had a bit of a budget to work with. Next payday! Overall? A GREAT alternative to the blandness of Red Lobster with better ambiance. I would most certainly come here for a date or a formal occasion, or just for a nice, well seasoned well prepared meal. read more

Went here for lunch with a friend and was sorely disappointed! Service was cordial but the server seemed rushed and was noted trying to serve too many people and actually seemed to be running back and forth between kitchen and dining areas. Prices were shockingly high for what was provided. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and what I received was two piles of mush containing breadcrumbs and crab pieces which were not cake like at all, served with an aioli that seemed like bottled salad dressing. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty, but the texture of them was so smooth I thought perhaps they were made from a mix rather than real potatoes. The best part of our meal was the warm sourdough with herbed olive oil for dipping. We gave the server a good tip for his effort, but I am not planning to dine here any time in the future. read more

My wonderful husband took me to Bonefish Grill tonight for my birthday and it was magnificent. The food was amazing and was brought to us nice and hot not just warm, our water glasses were kept full and the staff was really friendly and nice. We eat out quite a bit at many fine dining restaurants and I have to tell everyone for seafood Bonefish Grill is honestly the best. Don't bother going downtown to the other seafood restaurants, they can't come close to this place on ALL levels. We had the shrimp and scallops and it was great, plus the size of the scallops were very generous, not the size of a penny like other places. Not saying any names but don't waste your money on a restaurant with a river view, their food was overpriced, the dining room inside was freezing which in turn made our food cold when served and the staff couldn't keep my water glass filled. If you want a great experience eat at Bonefish Grill!! read more

Best seafood I've had in Spokane! I usually avoid any fish or shellfish because it's nothing compared to seafood on the coast - the lobster tail here was juicy and tasty, not too fishy, not chewy in any way, I am seriously impressed! Do make sure to ask which grade steak they have as it apparently rotates between choice and select. I had the 7oz center cut and it was choice grade, tender, amazing seasoning. Every bit of this meal was top knotch. The owners son was our waiter and he was extremely polite and provided great service. I will be back!!! read more

Excellent service, and the dinners were wonderful! We were a party of seven, arrived with only a quickly made reservation, and wanted to celebrate a birthday. Our server was very attentive, and served our dinners very soon after we ordered. She kept our glasses replenished, the chef cooked tasty food, and other helpers were friendly. I have never been to this place before but we got invited by some friends. We got seated fast. There was really not many customers in the place either. It was very dark in the restaurantand we were seated in a hole in the wall literally and is extremely dark and I told my husband i feel like the only reason a restaurants would be dark it's because they probably wanted to see their food. Lol (must have been it) Not only did we have a bad seat it was as if we were forgotten since it took a good 15-20 mins for our drinks. On top of that we were offered bread after receiving our drinks but the bread didn't come out until probably about five minutes before our meals came out. To no surprise the food really was not that great. Not only was it overpriced but we ordered The fried calamari and it was extremely rubbery to where it wouldn't even break as i chewed on it. When we did finally get to order our food we were not asked what type of side salad we wanted that came with our meal or what dressings. My husband ordered the rainbow trout it was very over cooked and dry. I ordered the scallops and grilled shrimp with a tomato line sauce. It was not appealing looking at all and extremely bland there's no flavor tomato or lime in the sauce either. I had also ordered seasoned vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes deafly couldn't taste the garlic in the potatoes and I end up getting served a jasmine rice rather then my veggies. When we ended up finally getting dessert I had ordered the Macademia nut brownie and it literally tasted like wax. I had everyone at the table try to make sure it was not just me and sure enough they all agree that taste like wax. I had asked the waitress if I could swap my dessert out for their coconut pie and after waiting probably 15 minutes for her to even come by for me to do so when we got the coconut pie it would've been nice to know that they put alcohol on it that is not cooked considering. Over all not impressed with the place the service or the food at all! This is only getting a One Star since I have to. Very Disappointing. read more

Best service I've had in a long time! The General manager came out and introduced himself and was very genuine. I ended up not being pleased with a dish I ordered. He came back out and made everything right! I've been in for happy hour martinis a few times now. The service has varied from very attentive to being completely ignored depending upon who waited on us. The ceviche that we ordered to snack on was very bland we probably won't be ordering food here in the future. They had live music one evening that I stopped in. The only issue being the proximity of the speakers to the bar made it very difficult to have a conversation without yelling. My parting comment has to be that I have been to many seafood restaurants, and this place hands down has the strongest smell of fish out of all of them. read more

A Exceptional Dining Experience We go out to eat regularly. This is the first time in recent memory we've gone someplace where they got everything right the first time. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a friendly and charming server, whose timing was perfect. She was wonderfully attentive throughout our meal, but was never intrusive and didn't hover. In terms of our food - It was simply fabulous. The shrimp cocktail, which came pre-seasoned was both generous and delicious--it needed no additional garnish nor sauce. The mediterranean-style house salad was light and tasty. The salmon and steak were seasoned and grilled to perfection, as was the Oscar Ahi. The broccoli was steamed to exactly the right tenderness, and the mashed potatoes were simply delicious. We topped off our meal with the Classic Cheesecake with Melba sauce, an utterly rich and decadent end to our evening. We look forward to our next visit. read more

We went out for a nice dinner and were very disappointed. After sitting with no attention from the staff, we finally successfully flagged down a staff member to take our drink and appetizer order. When our appetizers came out, there were no appetizer plates on the table, as well as no flatware or napkins. We had to flag down another staff member to bring us plates and flatware. We ordered our dinner and two out of three entrees came out wrong. The third person had ordered spinach as a side and it came out completely drenched in oil. We flagged down a manager and he did apologize, but did not offer to remake our food. We were in the restaurant for about an hour and a half. The whole time we were there my iced tea remained empty. I seriously doubt that this restaurant will be around for very long, as the service does not even rise to the level of lousy. We receive better service at McDonalds, and that is not saying much is it? I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to friends or family. I might recommend this place as a training place for other restaurants to see how bad service can get. read more

Dirty windows. Dirty tables. Horrible food. Waiters who come to your table every five minutes to see if "everything is OK" when you have waited an hour to get an order. How can everything be OK in those circumstances. Food was cold. Sent it back and got my plate back 30 minutes later with a message that the cook is glad I told him the mashed sweet potatoes hadn't been heated yet for the day so he wouldn't have other customers complaining. What the heck???? Could he have not nuked a small portion for me in 2 minutes and sent it out? Now I understand why the place was almost empty. My family and I have been here at least a dozen times since they have opened, and I gotta say this is one of too few restaurants in town that has consistently GOOD food, GREAT service and a RELAXING atmosphere!!! When I am missing Hawaiian Island food, this is the place to eat.... at least for me. My Favorite items I order here and strongly suggest are..... Appetizer: Bang Bang Shrimp, I thought I had eaten shrimp in every possible way, but this has a kicker sauce that is addicting. Entree: Mahi Mahi with Mango Salsa with their heavenly garlic whipped potatoes Dessert: Jens Jamaican Coconut Pie, this has got to be the best dessert creation EVER! It's brought out to you warm, and covered in fresh whipping cream and a sweet rum sauce. The servers have always been great with accommodating us with special requests with our orders and are very attentive. Tried this place twice.... Horrible, it amazes me they have 4 stars!!.. they have no clue how to cook a fish!@@@ The trout was overcooked, my eighteen-year-old commented on how horrible is scallops were, tried them, they also were overcooked.. So then you would think they would be able to do a nice hamburger, OVERCOOKED!!! Mike 13 year old committed on how he could have cooked it all better... Even if this place was good it would still be a little overpriced $175 3 kids, 2 adults 1 app and 2 beers!! Wait till you go to Seattle 4 fish because this place will actually turn you off from fish, almost turned is off to Burgers.
