My parents took me out to dinner for my birthday to a steak place they liked, that they also took my brother to back to in March. It couldn't have been more of a night and day experience for them. All three of us ordered filets. Two were ordered medium rare, one medium. Dad got a salad and fries, while mom and I got mashed potatoes and the garlic herb broccoli. Dad's salad came and was eaten while mom and twiddled our thumbs, wondering if there was going to be any bread. The steaks came and were cooked properly, but when cut open nary a drop of juice was seen from any of the steaks. The broccoli had a hint of garlic, my mom didn't taste anything, and Herb must've been out of town that night. The mashed potatoes were plain, and without gravy, and there was no juice from the steaks to add to the potatoes. They had an option to add garlic herb, or cowboy butter to the steak for $2.50, but none of us added it. This was probably the most plain filet I have had in my life. We asked the waitress about bread after the meal and she said, "the bread truck didn't come this week." In reading some of the reviews, that seems to be a recurring theme for the last few months, being told excuses for being out of stock items. For a $150 + tip bill, it was not worth the value. My daughter also treated me to dinner at the Black Angus Steakhouse. The waiters were all so quick and attendive to your needs. I've had a good time every time I have been there. Seriously, the worst take-out EVER Ordered dinner for pickup Saturday, and this is what I got. This $31 dinner was not even edible. Both the chicken and ribs were SO dried out I ended up throwing out half and giving the other half to my dogs. I've had jerky that wa juicier than what this was. Both the ribs and chicken must have been cooked in the morning and then kept under heat lamps for the rest of the day. And, does anyone reading this see much BBQ sauce? Not even a little container, which I was assured would be included. I have had dinner at this restaurant in the past with ok results, but something has gone terribly wrong. We were a table of 8 being 4 couples with separate checks. We were told only 1 ticket at the whole table could use the $10 off campfire feast. This seems very unreasonable to me since we were paying separately. The server did a great job bringing refills and checking back with us. The food was ok but had no seasoning on the steaks. I regularly visit black angus & get the campfire feast, I'm prime Club Member which provides a $10 discount. However, I was informed on this visit that only 1 patron at a table could exercise the discount even though we were all paying separately. I was then handed the bill & it indicated if I used a credit card there would be an additional 3% charge. I handed over a debit card believing that would eliminate the charge but it didn't matter. The only way I could avoid the 3% charge was to pay cash but there was no notice of that issue until the bill was provided. What I planned to pay was approximately $13 less than my bill. Man, What a disappointment! It had been a few years since we last chose Black Angus as our dinner spot, and honestly tonight will most likely be our last time. We arrived at the restaurant at around 4:15 to try and catch an early dinner. We were seated right away and the table was clean, however the Hostess somehow forgot to let the rest of the staff know that we had been seated, so it was probably at least 15 minutes before our waitress came over to greet us. She apologized right away and let us know that nobody told her we were there, and was really sweet the whole time. While taking our order, she let us know that they were "out of a lot of items", including their signature bread that usually arrives at the table when you order. That was a bit frustrating, but we understood. My wife ordered the 6oz sirloin cooked medium. They were out of the potato soup so she elected to go with the baked potato and steamed broccoli instead. My son got the rack of ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. I ordered the prime rib (also medium) with the loaded baked potato and mac & cheese. Our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time, but sadly almost everything was disappointing. My wife's steak was just shy of well done (definitely not medium), her baked potato was about 10 minutes under-cooked, and the broccoli was about 10 minutes over-steamed. Honestly, the potato was about the consistency of what you would want for potato salad, not the fluffy consistency one would expect of a baked potato. The broccoli was so over-done that it was basically mush in broccoli form. The steak was tough, but seasoned okay. My son's meal was better, but nothing to write home about. Ribs were good, mashed potatoes were gloopy and chunky at the same time, and the mac & cheese tasted like the walk-in cooler it was probably stored in since the Monday prep. My prime rib was much closer to medium, but my loaded baked potato was just as under-cooked and the mac & cheese had the same funny taste reminiscent of having been prepped days prior then stored in the cooler, only to be pulled out and re-heated on demand. Now, we're not really the sort to complain so we finished what we wanted of our meal, paid the tab and headed out. Then, like some quasi-comedic cherry on top, on the way out of the restaurant we passed a few different tables which were empty when we had arrived, and each one had a plate of bread! One table had a lovely couple who were dining together, and seemingly enjoying cups of the potato soup with their meals! Not that those items would have made a significant difference in our experience, but the fact that we were specifically told they were out of those things when we ordered and then later discovered them served to other tables.... At least we can laugh about it. Unfortunately, spending nearly $130 on dinner out shouldn't end with "at least we can laugh about it". I don't know why it had been so long since we last patronized Black Angus, but I do know why we won't be back. Nothing personal, but I expected more than "Meh" read more

We had dinner on Valentines evening. We had a reservation at 6:15 and were seating pretty much on time. Server was not very knowledgeable about the menu. Although she was friendly. One of the busiest days of the year and by 6:15 they were already out of several menu items! The food on our plates as well as those around us, seemed to be just thrown on the plate. No garnish at all. Husbands steak was over cooked and no seasoning. Wife's Salmon was also over cooked with no seasoning. Pretty bad when the highlight of the meal was the little side order of Mac & Cheese. We watched tables being cleaned off but floors under tables were not. We watched people sit at tables with crap all around their feet. We will look elsewhere next time hubby wants a steak! read more

Very poor experience. Went there following a wonderful play in Coeur d"Alene looking for a good steak dinner. First off, I ordered baked potato. Waitress came back to tell us they did not have baked potato at that time. so I ordered mashed potatoes. Dinner came. Potatoes were barely warm, Broccoli was under cooked and tasteless. Steak was overcooked, dry and tasteless. I could have done better at home. In addition, one sink in the bathroom was dirty and had paper towel in it and the paper towels were hanging out of the dispenser very wet. I will not return!!! I wanted to share my experience from our recent visit to your restaurant, which was meant to be a celebration for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. We started our evening at the bar, and initially, things seemed to be going well. However, as the bartender became preoccupied with waiting tables, we found ourselves waiting 5-10 minutes for drinks each time. While our appetizer was enjoyable, my husband's main course -- the ribs -- was far from satisfactory. He couldn't get any meat off the rack; it was predominantly gristle. When he voiced his concerns, the bartender kindly took the ribs back and offered him a substitute. He ordered chicken, but we waited 25 minutes without any updates or checks from the staff. Eventually, we felt it was necessary to approach the bartender personally to request our bill for the drinks and to leave. While we appreciate the bartender's effort to have our meals written off, there was no follow-up from management or any acknowledgment of our poor experience, which was disheartening. read more

Service was excellent!!! Food was awful. Everything was very expensive yet the food was equal to a truck stop meal. Coffee $5 and your only there for maybe one refill. Their prices don't match what they provide. Ambience was dated. Looked like a Dennys in the 90's. Black Angus used to have a classy feel when you dined there. We got the Campfire Feast with the Wagon Wheel appetizer! We loved it all, especially the molasses bread! I ordered the ribs and they were absolutely delicious! My wife raved over the sirloin! All of the meats were so delicious! We both got the mashed garlic potatoes and they were scrumptious! We also had the best server, Ashleigh! The food there was lack luster we got stale bread, tough chicken strips on out appetizer, and the baked potato soup tasted like it was mixed with cheddar and broccoli soup. Our waitress was rude right off the bat and forgot the cocktails ordered until half way through our meal. The steaks were either severely under seasoned or overly salty. Their was also an employee using their personal cup at the drink fountain and that's a huge no no in the food industry cause if he was sick he's getting the entire restaurant sick. First, Marly the server was the most kind, sweetest, and accommodating waitress! She was so patient.. especially with the table behind us that seemed demanding. The campfire feast for 1 you get an app,( I got the chicken Sriracha honey chicken fingers), two sides, (salad with the best blue cheese, & the yummiest Mac& cheese).an entree, (I upgraded to prime rib), and a dessert! It's been years since I was last at Black Angus. Some work friends and I came here tonight for their happy hour and dinner. Their happy hour menu (in Spokane) consisted of two food items. I don't recall what they were, but nothing like what I saw online. We started with a few happy hour drinks: Cowboy Long Island, Classic Martini, and a Strawberry Lemon Drop. The drinks were all great. For food we ordered the Appetizer Sampler (shrimp cocktail, fried zucchini, potato skins, and buffalo chicken strips). Cowboy Nachos, and a Chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich. The food was good, the service was good, but slow. I will give it another try in a few months. read more

Had a good time, everything went well, unfortunately I'm a stickler on my steak (coming from texas) and I actually prefer well done. Recieved a not so well done steak, wife mentioned it our server Hannah over heard and made it her priority to fix the issue, I declined and said don't worry (I've seen too many movies like "Waiting" to want to have it go back) she immediately addressed the issued offered a remedy, I respectfully declined, and she took it upon herself to talk it over with her manager and took care of us. I was impressed with my take out order on our very first visit at your restaurant. I had made an error in reading the menu and Patrick was very gracious in making things right. So right when we returned to Spokane, a week later, we had to return to this fine restaurant. The steaks were cooked to perfection! We had the tenderloin with wedge salad and potatoes.
