I've been here three times and I always enjoy going to Texas Roadhouse with my daughter whenever I visit and stay for a while. It's a lively place. We've encountered nice, happy waiters and waitresses. I've had great experiences here. The dinner rolls with apple cinnamon butter is just bomb!!. I get full just from eating those prior to receiving my main entree. The ribeye steaks are delicious and cooked perfectly at medium well (just how I like it). I also love their salmon cooked perfectly and fully loaded sweet potatoes. Caesar salad is good and fully loaded baked are also good. Wanted mashed potatoes but was told they were out, so I wanted the green beans, but found out they're made with bacon grease so if you're sensitive/allergic to pork don't get them. I was surprised with mashed potatoes Salad tasted ok but didn't sit well with me and I ended up losing it once home... Didn't like that I had to use the machine on the table to pay, in my opinion it takes away from the job, I wanted to edit my tip but couldn't. The screen was too bright it made my headache spike to a migraine, and my friend had to finish my pay for me. We barely used our phones because we were just enjoying the atmosphere and our time so much. We celebrated a birthday, and everything was just spot-on. I had the sirloin with honey mustard garden salad and loaded mac & cheese - everything was cooked perfectly! My friend had the pulled pork sandwich with steak fries - she loved it! The pulled pork had just the right amount of sassiness to it. Other friend had Salmon with the mashed potatoes!!!! Even though Texas Roadhouse is a chain, the quality of the food is amazing and affordable. The ambiance is warm and welcoming with great music. Another of my sides was chili. I could have made a meal just on it! My wife ordered her meat cooked to a medium well. It came rare. I flagged down the manager who took it away and brought it back shortly after, closer to medium well. My full rack of ribs were two half racks. One sauced and very good. We took the other half to go. A few hours later it was dry snd without sauce on it. The blooming cactus was good until getting to the end. The outside paper skin had not been properly peeled off. Service was excellent. We went for the early dinner special. There's lots to choose from. I tried the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes & country gravy and Caesar salad. It was good except the gravy was so salty it was near inedible. Luckily, my friend skipped the gravy. Food normally deserves 4 to 5 stars. I've also had great luck with take out. It was prom night and everyone in town seemed to be celebrating a birthday too! It's the first time we've ever been but it will surely be on the list of Must Do's for any vacation if we can Talk about a lively venue - that saddle comes out for special celebrations and the yeehaws begin lol there were so many that night. The table next to us even had a lovely lady celebrating her 86th birthday - she laughed and politely declined getting up on the saddle :D The bread. Can I just say? It's so good. I know it is a very popular place in Spokane, due in great part to limited and competitive options, but I only eat here MAYBE twice a year for a couple of reasons, mostly due to price and the exceptionally loud environment. An example was dinner tonight (Saturday, Nov. 23, at 4:00 p.m.) We had cheaper entrees ($18 and $19) plus two 16-ounce beers. With tax and tip, the tab came to $70. Also, as part of the "ambiance" (Texas, although not Texas, and "country"), the music blares loudly, and when they want to signal the staff to stop what they are doing and perform their little line dance (for "entertainment"), they crank up the overhead speakers to an ear-splitting 110 decibels. That was Part One. Part Two is that my meal tonight was really awful. My wife ordered the 3-piece catfish dinner with a Caesar salad, which she described as "good." The catfish was a close approximation of "Southern fried" and I KNOW real Southern cooking. I ordered the pulled pork dinner with 2 sides, which I have ordered there before, and frankly, tonight's was one of the worst excuses for pulled pork I have ever tried to eat, and one side was pretty awful, too. The baked potato was passable, with some upcharge for toppings. The "pulled pork" was tasteless and was more like pulled pork STEW, completely smothered in a thick, also tasteless barbecue sauce. No smoke, no spice, no kick, NO flavor. My side of whole-kernel corn was as though it was simply poured from a #10 can, complete with water from the can, and likewise was tasteless. Adding insult to injury, the pork was barely warm, as was the corn. Sorry to say, I ate maybe a third of the meal because I had to consider my expense flushed down the drain. The server was very good and offered to take it back to the kitchen for "reheating," but I declined because of the wait we would experience and honestly, I just prefer not-nuked food. I prefer freshly cooked (if such a thing other than steaks exist here). I think maybe their success (in terms of $$$) is their downfall in terms of quality food and cooking. Went in for a Rib-eye Steak, could not accommodate me, I wanted a 12 oz (and would have been ok with an 8 oz). They only had 14 oz and up! And the price was quite a bit more and would only be wasted. So I opted for the smallest prime rib. They did NOT tell me they cook them with "Liquid Hickory" or something like that. I do not like hickory of any kind!!! I only ate about 3 bites. Was so disappointed! They did give me a $9.99 discount. I would have rather had a Rib-Eye. There were several of them in the case up front! It bc was my hubby's birthday and they gave him a brownie with whip creme' but it was so hard he only took a couple bites! I will keep going to the one in Idaho. Everything was fine. Having a good time with my girlfriends the server, Jessica seemed to have a problem with our friend Jen. Jen didnt like her drink and they charged her for it. My friend and I decided to give the Spokane Texas Roadhouse a try tonight. We've been to a couple other locations (Pocatello and Boise, Idaho). I can say the warm buttery rolls were fantastic! I ordered the Prime Rib cooked medium rare, and it looked absolutely fabulous! The meat was delicious. The seasoning they used, I wasn't a fan. With the prime rib I also got a side-kick of shrimp, they were good. My friend got the sirloin steak, she said it was one of the toughest sirloins she had ever had, but she did like the flavor. With her sirloin she also got a side-kick of shrimp, steamed broccoli, and sweetened applesauce. Someday in the future we may try this location again. read more

Ambiance here is very fun and upbeat. They play country music and every now and then they play a specific song and the workers line up to dance. Sorry I'm not a country person so I don't know the song or what the dance is but it was enjoyable to watch. It's pretty loud in there so talk loud to your companions. We were seated right away for lunch and it was pretty packed in there. Service was great! Our waitress got us water every time we were low, she always checked in on us and it was our first time there so she gave us some feedback on what was good there. The gentleman that took our order basically forgot about us, they were not busy. Also got the order wrong and told us they couldn't fix it and walked away. We had dinner here last night and it was crazy busy so I'm not going to focus on food or service as it wasn't an accurate depiction in my opinion. That being said, my 9 month old grabbed the cinnamon butter off of the table and it got on her hand. Minutes later her hand was HUGE and bright bright red like she was having an allergic reaction. My husband went to find a rag with water to wipe it off and the waitress heard and notified the manager. Everyone was at our table immediately checking on our daughter. They were so caring and kind. We took her to ER afterwards and she is ok :) but I thought it was really nice that they took the time to make sure she was okay while they were so incredibly busy. We will always come to TRH! 4 visits in 30 days is my record. I'd recommend joining the waitlist if you plan to come after 5 or 6 PM because the wait time could be at least 1 hr. Service: Always fast and great except for one time my utensils were gone when I came back from the restroom. Our table was super tiny and the check dropped on the floor. I reached out to grab it and some busboy walked by and threw it away. I said "excuse me that's my check" but he just ignored me and left. I found that super weird. Then some girl told us to pay at the kiosk machine and we did. After we paid, there was no service at all. We wanted to have some rolls to go as always but our server disappeared and other servers were busy with their tables. Other than that, my experience with them has been great. I got "Bre" twice and she was alwasy super nice, attentive and accommodating. Food: -Rolls I enjoy their rolls and sides more than their steaks. To me, this place should be called Texas Rollhouse. The first time I went I ate so many rolls and couldn't finish my main meal so I learned my lesson. -Drinks Blue lemonade is safer than other colors. -Cactus Blossom Very delicious and I order it every time. It tastes the best hot because it gets soggy after a few mins and you will see tons of oil on the bottom. It is very filling and always makes me feel heavy because of the oil. -Sides Shrimps are good but the portion is too small. We paid for a shrimp sidekick once and only got like 5 shrimps, too expensive. I've tried most of their sides and you can modify some at no extra charge. My personal favorites are caesar salad (without bacon), mashed potatoes and seasoned rice. I don't eat steak with rice but a waitress recommended that side and she was right. The rice was very delicious and flavorful. I usually take the rice to go and pack it for lunch. -Meat A bit pricey for average steaks. Medium rare is the way to go. Even rare might be fine because I feel like they always overcook the steaks. Their ribs always taste better as leftovers to me after I air fry them. It's been about 15 years since I've been to a Texas Roadhouse so I found the check-in, wait in your car, wait "on deck" inside process kinda weird and chaotic but whatevs. Got our table fairly quickly even though it was packed for an early Friday evening. Food lived up to all my memories even if my steak was slightly underdone (I like somewhere between medium rare & medium so it's a known risk when I order MR). Prices are exactly what you expect in this type of chain. I'm writing this whole review though just to give a shout out to Jada! We eat out a lot & Jada was top notch! She kept those rolls coming in fresh and hot (& even sent us back to our hotel with a whole extra batch), made sure my dinner companion got to try all the flavors of sweet tea that they wanted, and was just incredibly friendly, even giving us out-of-towners tips for things to see/do.
