After living in South Florida for most of my life, I've been recommended Bonefish Mac's quite a few times. After years of delaying, we finally decided to visit the Lighthouse Point location, and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. We ordered a few burgers, a wrap, chips, and queso and honestly, the only good thing was the queso. Not the chips, just the dip. Everything else was awful. The service was okay, but the food was terrible. We left very confused since so many people seem to love this place. Now we're wondering if we just ordered the wrong items. Also, one member of our party has been sick since we left. Safe to say we won't be trying that place again anytime soon. read more

Like this local joint been coming here for few years. Good is always consistent and good. This last time I got a steak Cajun style and asked for it medium well when I got it and looked into it and tried it is was well done. Told our waitress that and she said that's medium well and that's what we asked for but. I have had my fair share of steaks and medium well has a slight pink middle and for sure isn't dry and tough, was kind of not happy with that that there was no solution to this plus it took for ever for the food to come out. So just stay away from this place. The only great thing here was 1. The cold beer and 2. The service. The service was actually really good. The food though was sub par. So much so that pictures of it didn't happen. We came in with about 9 people. We started with the smoked fish dip, it was ok. My wife ordered the lobster roll. I am certain they use imitation lobster, it resembled fake crab mixed with a ton of mayo. The taste was even worst. I ordered the captains platter which was mahi mahi with a crab cake and shrimp. The mahi was under seasoned and over done, the shrimp were like rubber and the it was suppose to have a butter sauce on it which was broken. My dad ordered a ribeye steak that was overcooked, tough but he said had ok flavor. And the list goes on. Skip this place and go to anyone of the other great places around here. read more

Stopped by Bonefish Mac's Sports Grille for lunch before running a few errands. The sports bar was large with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, flat screen TV's throughout the restaurant, college football banners hung, framed jerseys and other memorabilias displayed on the walls. Their menu offers a vast selection of dishes such as: * Appetizers/soups/salad bowls/desserts * Seafood/ribs/wings/burgers * Pasta/fajitas/tacos * Wraps/hotdogs/sandwiches/subs *Cold beverages/craft beer/cocktails/wine/frozen margaritas My server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and specials when I told her it was my first time at Bonefish Mac's. After some time overlooking the menu, I decided to order a glass of white Zinfandel and some shrimp fajitas which was served with four tortillas, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce & cheese, and a side of black beans and rice. The shrimp fajitas was made nicely even though it was cooked with too much onions. After picking out the jalapenos (I don't like jalapenos) that was place on top of the beans and rice, I placed a bit of everything on the tortilla and ate my fill. I asked my server for a container to take the leftovers home. I had no room for dessert so I finished my wine and paid the check. There's a possibility that I may return to Bonefish Mac's. There are a few things on the menu that I would like to come back and try...and having happy hour all day is definitely a good incentive to stop by. read more

I don't know what happened to this place. Years ago, it was great for a quick bite with great service. Tonight's service was average, but the food was awful. The potatoes in the potato boats tasted like they were cooked a week ago. My husband ordered the bbq grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries tasted like they had been fried three times. They were inedible, as was the bacon that was so overcooked it was like beef jerky. As for the buffalo chicken quesadilla, I've probably ordered it 50 times over the years. This time, it came with previously frozen diced "chicken" with a side of separated buffalo sauce and about 3 shreds of cheese. Despite not containing the buffalo chicken I ordered, it was somehow still greasy. It was also inedible. Even the key lime pie was terrible. It was 90% crust, which had no sweet taste at all. We sat in a booth. The back of one of the benches was broken, so my husband essentially dined in a lounge chair. The booth cushions are ripped and falling apart. The staff used to be...clean? This place desperately needs an overhaul. We won't be back. read more

Shockingly Unprofessional Treatment Over a Well-Behaved Medical Companion Dog My husband and I stopped for lunch today with my small medical companion dog, who was fully vested, in his stroller, and calmly asleep. We chose an outdoor table and I went inside to let someone know we were seated. Before anyone asked what we needed, a hostess rushed over to confront me--not to greet us, but to aggressively announce that a manager "needed to speak with me about the dog." When I returned to my table, the manager was already lecturing my husband about the difference between service dogs and emotional support animals, despite not knowing anything about our situation. She then questioned me directly, asking, "What kind of dog is this?" and continued a long, condescending speech about how certain terminology could get us "kicked out of places." She even asked personal questions about what my dog "does for me," which is not appropriate and absolutely not her business. My dog was quiet, contained, and fully under control--there was no disruption, no rule violation, nothing that warranted this kind of treatment. The entire exchange felt humiliating, hostile, and based on misinformation and power-tripping rather than actual policy. It set the tone for a very uncomfortable experience. We left feeling unwelcome and judged over something that should have been handled professionally and discreetly. We will not be returning. Bonefish Mac's needs proper training on ADA-compliant interaction and basic respect. read more

Located in Lighthouse Point, this is a very busy venue. We were seated after being on the waiting list. The menu was quite large with lots of choices. Our server came quickly and was very efficient. Our food came after a reasonable amount of time. My husband had the Prime Rib which was very reasonably priced, cooked perfectly and quite delicious. I had the Captains Special which was Mahi Mahi with Crabmeat Stuffing. It was cooked just right and delicious. We will have to come back and try other menu options. read more

He loved the ooey, gooey hearty Mac-n-cheese and the side salad was big enough for us to split since neither of us were super hungry. Prime rib special on Monday nights is a great deal and very popular. They start serving it at 5:00 PM. Get there early because it gets very busy especially in tourist season. In addition they have a large menu of other items. The seafood chowder deserves special mention, it's delicious. Had dinner here last night with a friend . Food and service both very good. First of all, no wait, as the snowbirds have gone home, so we got right in and got a nice booth. The Caesar's salad was perfect and the prime rib was exceptional. This is a go to for my friends and I for their famous Seafood crack Mac and boy is it addicting. It is their famous Mac and cheese topped with shrimp , crab and lobster !!!!! It comes with a side of this garlic bread, but 3-5 slices would be best!! Ha ha!!! The service is always good and the waiters always suggest the best things if you don't like Mac and cheese. The kids meals are a healthy portion and very tasty as well. Here we celebrated my daughter's birthday so they had ice cream sundaes and pudding dirt cups. The lighthouse point location had a cute outdoor seating area with rocking tables but the coconut creek/coral springs location is nice as well!!! Great place to hang on a Sunday and watch the game, have a drink and some good food. The menu is extensive, and they have a lot of specials. Service was good the day I was there. It was busy and our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Beer was fresh from the tap and very cold. Conch Chowder was decent, could have been a bit spicier but overall, it was ok. Mojo Shrimp came with 5 large, marinated shrimp on a bed of rice. Hints of lime, garlic, and cumin made this dish, and it was not too over-powering. Comes with a side and I chose the rice and beans. Seated quickly & place was not really busy but due to short staffing took a bit to get water & order drinks. Server seemed annoyed w/having to work. Had to eat shared app over napkins no plates until half-way through. Coconut shrimp were rubbery. Lobster salad was pulverized, looked like prechewed & was loaded with garlic, served over a bed of iceberg lettuce/diced tomatoes were on the verge & tasted rancid. Mahi Tacos - the Mahi was shredded, cold & dry, rice & beans were covered with chunks of white onion & rice cooked through. Some was cooked, some was crunchy. Others at our table didn't finish their meals saying they were awful. Out of 6 meals, 1 was "just OK". We've been here before & always had a good meal. WHAT HAPPENED???? Maybe a new chef? My salad had some weird undercooked chicken. My wife's tacos were bathing in mayonnaise. One of my kids has allergies, but that's not something they're concerned with. At least my other kid got edible chicken tenders, so that's a thing, I guess. Finishing up - service was awful, place was dirty, nothing was good. Find somewhere else. Anywhere else. i was looking forward to Prime Rib night for a week, only to be completely disappointed. not only was it cooked wrong 3xs, I mean everyone knows medium is light pink, not blood red.... but on top of it, the female bartender had a bad attitude about it like I was inconveniencing her by trying to get my meal made right. She didn't even ask if I wanted something else to eat too. Stuff happens, I get that part but because of the bad attitude and uncomfortableness, we will not be back. I ordered 3 fish n chip meals with extra fish online I got home opened the bag and all my plates were incomplete the chips were missing in all 3 and obe plate was just fish and nothing else, I instantly called the restaurant to complain and was told I could come back fir the fries, I said no I didn't want to go all the way back and that they should refund me something back, the manager stated that I had to call the next morning because he didn't do refunds, so of course I called the next morning and was told no kind of refund would be given n that I could cone get the fries. I was like wow I spent very $60.00 first 3 meals and they were not complete and I can't get a refund for nothing. That's crazy. The customer service at this location sucks and the fish wasn't even worth it because it was soggy and greasy. I didn't even finish eating it.
