I'm not exactly sure why this place has so many stars. I ordered 3 tacos de TJ and it took over 10 minutes for my order and there was no one else in there. I don't live near here: if I did, I would be here three times a week. I grew up in East LA and you don't find food like this where I live (HB). When I'm in the area around lunch time, this is a "for sure" stop. Everything is fresh and home made. If you try their food, that says it all! read more

I just want to say that this place I thought was good but after tonight, I'm so dissatisfied. We came here for dinner, typical Mexican restaurant they brought us chips n salsa let me tell you we ate and are about to order more chips and what we find on the bottom of the tray freaks us out!!! In between the last of the chips pieces of broken down eaten half fish bones!!! Yes fish bones. Only one way they got there!! Guesssss they used left over tray with other people's chips and fish bone leftovers in them and they thought it was easy to just fill them back up without emptying the tray or cleaning it, and they missed all the nasty bones and just served it back to us. So clearly they recycle chips n reuse them with other customers leftovers!!! Not sanitary at all. And all the waitress said was ohh umm I'm sorry n she said the girl was eating in the back and messed up and put bones in there.. not that they were busy, we were the only customers in the restaurant literally only us. Not that we wanted any type of compensation but they didn't even offer any type of remedy to rectify the situation other then to bring us more chips.... Really. No no no!!! read more

We wanted to try this place due to the previous reviews and I was quite disappointed. The server was horrible. My fiance ordered a Michelada with Modelo in it and I order a Victoria. She brings the drinks back and had Victoria in the Michelada and brings me a modelo. She takes it back and brings him back the correct Michelada but brings me a Pacifico. Upsetting. The food presentation was not good and the taste of the Ceviche was old tasting. My sister in law had Menudo which also tasted old. MY fiance had the Camarones Culichi and he really liked those. Great street tacos, the lengua are great and the marlin tacos are some of the best I've found outside of cabo.

We just love going for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I personally really love the wet burrito carne asada green sauce with cheese and there Governador shrimp- tacos comes with chop shrimp mexican rice inside with cheese with grilled onions AMAZING!!! I came to this place today after seeing all the pictures on Yelp for which the dishes looked good but let me tell you that this place is not worth the money for the dishes they serve. I ordered Enchiladas Michoacanas and when I received my plate the enchiladas we're soaked it oil. The dish was also served with chicken drumsticks and it tasted like the chicken was from days ago. Best freaking ceviche ever. No. Best freaking restaurant ever. Some of the items can be a little pricey, but its worth it. They dont skimp out on limes or any salsa or anything like other places. Ask for lime, youll get a full one! Even when you order togo they still give you a bag of chips with salsa unlike all other places that make you stay!!! 10/10 food is delishhhh the waitresses are sooo kind and outgoing! I decided to give this place a try, sorry to say I was not impressed. I requested if they could make filete de pescado al ajillo (not on menu)since they have the whole fish (mojarra)on menu al ajillo, the waitress had to check first. Waitress said yes no problem, when my order arrived my fish filet was buried with onions and Chile's so spicy that made it difficult to eat, to me al ajillo means lots of garlic.. which I could not taste at all. Not to mention the fish was undercooked and rubbery. Tortillas ....hmm did they buy them at Smart n Final ? The music ... took me back in time to 70's tigers del Norte era...Wish I liked it here because it's closer to me and don't always want to drive to SA for good food. I was visiting town and looking for great food in a great atmosphere. I was brought here by recommendation of a friend. Seven of us arrived and immediately greeted by the owner at the front door who sat us down and made us all feel right at home. Not being familiar with some of the menu items, the staff easily provided descriptions and recommendations. I swear that they made no mistake. The appetizers and main dish meals were phenomenal and were huge in size. Bring your appetite. Dinner was followed by desserts that closed the deal. Me and the family came here after our day at Disneyland. It's 8 minutes from the park. This place is so good. Rosa was our waitress and she was amazing. She was warm and welcoming and was very attentive even when it became busy. Our food was fresh, hot, and authentic. The salsa is delicious(we ate 5 bowls of it). They serve you a pretty good amount of food and it's not expensive at all. I will defiantly go back next Disney trip. Or if I'm craving good Mexican food I'll drive those 2 hours back out here.
