I had an excellent experience with Bonnie Plumbing today. This morning, I discovered that my kitchen sink was backed up. I called four different plumbers in the area, and Bonnie was the only company that answered the phone. They initially scheduled someone to come out between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. About 20 minutes later, they called back to say they could send someone immediately. Grant, the technician who arrived, was courteous, professional, knowledgeable AND he had great taste in video games. (We talked a bit about video games when he first started working.) Partway through the service, his supervisor, Casey, stopped by to see how everything was going. While Grant was working on the sink, Casey helped identify a problem with one of my shower cartridges that had been bothering me for quite some time. The most surprising part was how affordable the repair was. It cost less than what many plumbers charge simply to come out and assess a problem. I cannot recommend Bonnie Plumbing highly enough. As part of my Bonney membership, today was an inspection on my home's plumbing. Kevin S was punctual. We talked about how things were going relative to the house's plumbing....all good, no leaks detected. He started w the descaling of my tankless water heater which they installed 5 years ago. While that process was on-going, checked all the plumbing for the sinks and toilet, all documents w photos captured. Very thorough. Also included was a water test to check quality of the water. I contacted Bonneys Heating air-conditioning for maintenance for my air conditioner. The technician checked the unit inside the house and checked the unit outside. He did whatever needed to be done came in and explained to me that the compressor was only at 3% and that the unit was only putting out 15% and that I could expect it to go out in the near future. Spoke to me regarding a service agreement, explained how it could save me money in the future and what it would cost to replace my whole unit. I believe the man did a good service. I gave them a good 5 star recommendation. That was Friday. Sunday, My boys came over today. Ask why I had it serviced. I told him that I thought the unit was making a noise and was time to have it serviced. They went out to look to see what was done and found out. The man did absolutely nothing. These are the pictures that they took. I really feel cheated. I thought he was supposed to clean the area inside the compressor. There's evidence that the oil that is leaking had just started and that's why the 3% loss is there. Yes the unit would fail in a few years if I keep losing Freon. Things like this should never happen. I definitely will not recommend Bonneys Heating air-conditioning plumbing electric. They do sloppy work and try to sell you a contract that you don't need. I originally contacted Rooter Plumbing, and they came out, overcharged me, and actually made my plumbing issues worse -- to the point where it wouldn't drain at all. On top of that, Rooter Plumbing wanted to charge me over $2k to hydro jet the line to fix the issue. When I called Bonney, they came out early the next morning, and Mark showed so much commitment to resolving the issue for us. He went above and beyond, spent more time than he needed to, and even called someone else to come help. He was able to find the cause of the clogged drain and fix it -- all under the monthly promotion they were running. Thank you again, Mark. I really appreciate it! read more

We purchased a new, more efficient, heat pump AC system from Bonney. Bonney installers were very professional and the system is working well. However, our agreement with Bonney included a rebate from SMUD that the the contractor (Bonney) had to apply for. SMUD confirms that Bonney never applied for the rebate. We chose this plumbing company based on a recommendation from a friend, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. We called for two very specific services: replacing our kitchen faucet and installing a new hot water/filtration faucet. Instead, the plumber spent nearly two hours evaluating and recommending things we had never asked him to assess. During the visit, he crawled under our house, took photos and recommended that we replumb the house. He told us our water heater needed to be replaced because it was too old. He recommended replacing our water shut-off even though he acknowledged that it was working properly. He also performed a chlorine test and then recommended that we purchase a whole-house water filtration system. We subsequently tested the water ourselves and got results nowhere near what he had shown us, which was concerning. After nearly two hours of unsolicited recommendations, the actual work we had requested--installing the new kitchen faucet--took less than an hour. We had purchased and provided the faucet ourselves, so the $580 charge was for the installation, not for the faucet. We were also told that installing the hot water/filtration faucet, which we had also purchased ourselves, would have cost nearly $1,000 had it fit. We have no problem paying a fair price for skilled professional work. What bothered us was the combination of the aggressive upselling, the amount of time spent evaluating things we had not asked to have evaluated, and what we considered extremely high pricing for the work actually performed. I contacted the company afterward and explained our concerns in detail, hoping to give them an opportunity to respond. I received no response. This experience was disappointing enough that I felt others should know about it. read more

First and foremost, I am choosing my words very carefully as I have no desire to lower myself to the level of your (Bonney's) questionable business practices. To proceed, my requirement of you (Bonney) is an explanation of why the price of fixing a clogged drain on an outside sink at our home mysteriously and dramatically increased from a little under $300 on the first day with an astonishingly excessive figure of $3,500 for a second day, for a total of almost $4,000. As if that were not enough, the so-called "supervisor" proceeded to speak of making a large hole in the wall to re-route the problem pipe. Needless to say, the ballpark figure he uttered far exceeds the resources of a couple of senior citizens, one of whom is a disabled (100%) veteran. Bottom line, we contacted a local company who obviously know what they are about and who fixed the problem in less than an hour for just under $300. Will Bonney have the intestinal fortitude to even read this review, let alone actually respond? I won't be holding my breath on it. read more

I had several plumbing jobs I needed to get done at my 9 year house. Kitchen faucet needed replacing, toilets needed reseating, tankless water heater flushed and bathroom faucet repaired. I had dealings with Bonney at my last house and was pleased with the service and products. So this time I requested a visit for an estimate of the jobs and lead times. Booking the appointment was very easy online and the tech, Miguel, arrived promptly. He explained all the necessary work and costs. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous either. We booked the repair visit for the next day and he arrived right on time ready to go. He spent the next 5 hours going through the punch list working without a ruckus and kept us informed along the way. He cleaned up as he went and the left each location in the house clean and tidy. July 14th I worked with the Bonney crew. The team was Johnathan Dip, Daniel 2.0, he likes to be called that, and Mark. They were all very nice, polite, showed up on time. Explained the process of what they would be doing. Made sure they cleaned up after work was done. Daniel replaced a part needed on my Dishwasher. Showed me the wear and tear and replaced it because it would be an issue later. Johnathan made sure everyone as well as himself were doing the work needed to be done. Kim the supervisor for them came through looked at their work checked and made sure it was how it should be. I did work with this company last week and a few times last year. When we had a blockage in our sewer pipe, I panicked and called [Bad Company]. They came out and told me some bad news - There was a pipe collapse under my slab, right under my garage. They had jetted the inside and said "There's no blockage that our jet couldn't break through.", assuring me they were right. I had Bonney out the next day and Blake walked up onto the roof and cleared the "collapsed pipe". Over the last 10 years of living in my home I've had several contractors tell me that I am going to have to replace my a/c unit sooner rather than later. Sooner came in the form of a leak over my son's closet door this week. I called Bonney and was able to get someone out later that day. (Which, during a heatwave is usually unheard of.) Ernesto was polite, professional and honest. He straight up told me there's a way to fix it...but it's not the right way, and he wont do it unless it's the right way. That's exactly what I want to hear. Our repair, the right way, was going to cost almost as much as a new unit anyway, so they called out their "comfort coordinator" to meet with us. Brian was fantastic! It's so wonderful to see local companies employing our veterans. Brian was honest and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Not only did he help with the leg work of getting us the financing we needed, he managed to snag us an appointment in 2 days. My house was climbing to an uncomfortable 88°. I was grateful for whatever we could get. I was told that the job would take 2 days with 2 of their guys working on it. Before 8am this morning Elijah showed up at my door with 2 big blue work trucks and 4 other guys! They worked quickly and efficiently and were done before 5 this evening. Elijah, Sean, Robbie and Lucas we all amazing. All of them were such hard workers. They left my home spotless, which is amazing considering how much duct work they had to do, and the tiny spaces in which they had to do it. My elderly father was home all day and watched their hustle and was utterly impressed with their work ethic and professionalism, and this man is super hard to impress. All said and done, my family is beyond happy with Bonney. The warranty on our new system means that for the next decade, we don't have to worry about a thing. Peace of mind? I had the gutters in front of my house replaced in November 2024. They were brand new gutters. I no longer could hear the rain pouring out in front of the house until last night. Last Friday, 1/31, I had a Bonney HVAC tech come out to come diagnose what was wrong with my heater. He found the issue after getting on my roof with a ladder, placed in front of my house, against my new gutter. I went to go look at the ladder to see if it had stabilizers attached so the ladder wouldn't be directly on the gutter. No, he did not have stabilizers on his ladder. I thought to myself, ok...maybe it wouldn't damage my new gutter and carried on with my business. Well, I was wrong. Last night as I looked through my Ring app and what do I see? Rain pouring from the very exact spot that the tech had placed his ladder. I went on Bonney's website and chatted with a rep that said she would forward my issue to the office and someone would call me back. I gave her all the required info, name, email, phone number, address. I only chatted with them about an hour ago on 2/5/25. So I'll wait and see how long it takes for them to get back to me. I am updating my review to say I spoke to Zack in customer care and he has been very responsive and caring to apologize for the cancelation due to illness, etc. Although the tried to "make it right" and credited my account back for April's charge, I still am moving on. But, they certainly showed professionalism and a good attitude toward me. I just want to give another service an opportunity at this time. It's a long drive out to Dixon from Rancho Cordova and with gas prices so high (I am not sure that mattered in this case), but I will try a service much closer to me. Bonny Plumbing is the worst plumbing service in town. I've lived in this area for 75 years. I have a sink that is plugged a very small 1' x 1' sink. I got a quote for $17.76 to unplug the sink when they showed up, they looked at it and said that they would have to take the P trap off and run a snake down the line and that would be an additional $495. Bonny Plumbing is a absolute bait and switch company. This is not my first experience with them either. They're the worst I would not recommend them to clean my gutters. I ran a snake down the line myself took me about 15 minutes and the sink was unplugged. Bonny Plumbing is the worst do not use them. read more

I was not sent before and after pictures for cleaning which they did send on my first tuneup when I signed up for subscription. After checking the attic rep said I had catastrophic leaks in the duct work and needed to replace all the duct work at a cost of $13k. Yes he said $13k! There was no way as I get an annual check up every year. Next day I called four different companies, had them all come out and give their opinion and estimate. All four companies said that was ridiculous. No need to replace all the duck work, I only needed to repair one line. It ended up costing me $750. It felt like the rep was trying to take advantage of the situation. read more

The technician, Elmer M, was excellent. He arrived within the scheduled service window, was professional, polite, and respectful throughout the visit, and took care to protect the home by wearing shoe covers and being mindful while moving through the house. Our HVAC system had completely stopped working. He thoroughly diagnosed the issue, identified a blown fuse as the root cause, and restored the system to operation. He explained his findings and recommendations clearly and answered questions in a way that was easy to understand. What I appreciated most was that he focused on diagnosing and fixing the problem rather than trying to sell unnecessary services.
