On top of that, Rooter Plumbing wanted to charge me over $2k to hydro jet the line to fix the issue. When I called Bonney, they came out early the next morning, and Mark showed so much commitment to resolving the issue for us. He went above and beyond, spent more time than he needed to, and even called someone else to come help. When we had a blockage in our sewer pipe, I panicked and called [Bad Company]. They came out and told me some bad news - There was a pipe collapse under my slab, right under my garage. They had jetted the inside and said "There's no blockage that our jet couldn't break through.", assuring me they were right. I am updating my review to say I spoke to Zack in customer care and he has been very responsive and caring to apologize for the cancelation due to illness, etc. Although the tried to "make it right" and credited my account back for April's charge, I still am moving on. But, they certainly showed professionalism and a good attitude toward me. I just want to give another service an opportunity at this time. It's a long drive out to Dixon from Rancho Cordova and with gas prices so high (I am not sure that mattered in this case), but I will try a service much closer to me. TECH CAME OUT TO DO A 69.00 water heater flush which he pushed hard to sell for a 33% to 39% over several other plumbers. Then as part of the service, they do a whole house inspection of all your plumbing valves. In finding out that 3 of 11 would leak when turning off due to plastic pipe. Upon approving The replacement of all 11 the tech did not have the correct valves had to go back to Sacramento then back to Lincoln then to Fergeson to get right valves. When finally completed 8 hrs later, he left. Following morning I awoke to find my kitchen floor flooded due to not connecting the dishwasher intake line correctly. 8 days later of abatement by ESR, great company and not being able to use my kitchen at all, I have not heard back from anyone at BONNEY? I had several plumbing jobs I needed to get done at my 9 year house. Kitchen faucet needed replacing, toilets needed reseating, tankless water heater flushed and bathroom faucet repaired. I had dealings with Bonney at my last house and was pleased with the service and products. So this time I requested a visit for an estimate of the jobs and lead times. Booking the appointment was very easy online and the tech, Miguel, arrived promptly. He explained all the necessary work and costs. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous either. We booked the repair visit for the next day and he arrived right on time ready to go. He spent the next 5 hours going through the punch list working without a ruckus and kept us informed along the way. He cleaned up as he went and the left each location in the house clean and tidy. Si and Kim were the technicians, and they were both super professional, friendly, and clearly knew their stuff. The installation looks really clean and well done, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Beware, this company trys to over sell you. Had a rep come out to perform an annual AC tuneup. After checking the attic rep said I had catastrophic leaks in the duct work and needed to replace all the duct work at a cost of $13k. Yes he said $13k! There was no way as I get an annual check up every year. Next day I called four different companies, had them all come out and give their opinion and estimate. All four companies said that was ridiculous. No need to replace all the duck work, I only needed to repair one line. It ended up costing me $750. It felt like the rep was trying to take advantage of the situation. read more

The technician, Elmer M, was excellent. He arrived within the scheduled service window, was professional, polite, and respectful throughout the visit, and took care to protect the home by wearing shoe covers and being mindful while moving through the house. Our HVAC system had completely stopped working. He thoroughly diagnosed the issue, identified a blown fuse as the root cause, and restored the system to operation. He explained his findings and recommendations clearly and answered questions in a way that was easy to understand. What I appreciated most was that he focused on diagnosing and fixing the problem rather than trying to sell unnecessary services. He did provide information about Bonney's maintenance program when I expressed interest, but there was absolutely no pressure. The recommendations he made felt informative and professional, not fear-based or sales-driven. Overall, a very positive experience. Over the last 10 years of living in my home I've had several contractors tell me that I am going to have to replace my a/c unit sooner rather than later. Sooner came in the form of a leak over my son's closet door this week. I called Bonney and was able to get someone out later that day. (Which, during a heatwave is usually unheard of.) Ernesto was polite, professional and honest. He straight up told me there's a way to fix it...but it's not the right way, and he wont do it unless it's the right way. That's exactly what I want to hear. Our repair, the right way, was going to cost almost as much as a new unit anyway, so they called out their "comfort coordinator" to meet with us. Brian was fantastic! It's so wonderful to see local companies employing our veterans. Brian was honest and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Not only did he help with the leg work of getting us the financing we needed, he managed to snag us an appointment in 2 days. My house was climbing to an uncomfortable 88°. I was grateful for whatever we could get. I was told that the job would take 2 days with 2 of their guys working on it. Before 8am this morning Elijah showed up at my door with 2 big blue work trucks and 4 other guys! They worked quickly and efficiently and were done before 5 this evening. Elijah, Sean, Robbie and Lucas we all amazing. All of them were such hard workers. They left my home spotless, which is amazing considering how much duct work they had to do, and the tiny spaces in which they had to do it. My elderly father was home all day and watched their hustle and was utterly impressed with their work ethic and professionalism, and this man is super hard to impress. All said and done, my family is beyond happy with Bonney. The warranty on our new system means that for the next decade, we don't have to worry about a thing. Peace of mind? I had the gutters in front of my house replaced in November 2024. They were brand new gutters. I no longer could hear the rain pouring out in front of the house until last night. Last Friday, 1/31, I had a Bonney HVAC tech come out to come diagnose what was wrong with my heater. He found the issue after getting on my roof with a ladder, placed in front of my house, against my new gutter. I went to go look at the ladder to see if it had stabilizers attached so the ladder wouldn't be directly on the gutter. No, he did not have stabilizers on his ladder. I thought to myself, ok...maybe it wouldn't damage my new gutter and carried on with my business. Well, I was wrong. Last night as I looked through my Ring app and what do I see? Rain pouring from the very exact spot that the tech had placed his ladder. I went on Bonney's website and chatted with a rep that said she would forward my issue to the office and someone would call me back. I gave her all the required info, name, email, phone number, address. I only chatted with them about an hour ago on 2/5/25. So I'll wait and see how long it takes for them to get back to me. I had AC tune up scheduled. I was not home during the service and my parents let the technician in. I was not sent before and after pictures for cleaning which they did send on my first tuneup when I signed up for subscription. If I could leave this company a 0/5 I would. Honestly negative would be appropriate. Hired the to do a $10k main sewer line burst / replacement. They were good guys until they never showed up the second day to finish the job. Then pro longed it for an other almost week. Leaving me needing to miss work a few days as well as my wife a few days so someone could be here * per their policy. Now let's talk about how bad of a job they did. First of all the don't tell you that when you do this it raises the level of the ground above the pipe 2-3" making your yard out of level . Then when they were *done* they installed the cleanout right where I told them I didn't want it (kids play area). Then while doing the job they cut all of my drip irrigation at the location of the first cleanout places and also right where it goes underground and then never fixed it. See the pictures attached at how they left my yard. Absolute abomination of a job done by the biggest plumbing company around. Mind you only reason I chose their more expensive quote was for the name of the company. And that proved me wrong! Absolutely terrible job. Wouldn't get near these guys with a 10' pole ever again! Response to owner: I did in fact connect with one of the managers who was great. I was satisfied until I dug into how bad your team really left my yard. We have been a repeat customer with Bonney for years. We are also a member of their service program and also hav been for years. I have to admit the last year or 2 have been touch and go as we were on the verge of finding a new service company. The service techs customer service and knowledge had gone down significantly with someone new coming in our home and leaving it dirty on our ceiling and walls where they entered our crawl space and telling us everything looks good when we could potentially keep things from happening. What is the point of routine service and paying a fee if we aren't going to get the service it's designed for? . Marcus R came today and he was upfront and honest with the work he recommended, he even listened to me vent about experience in the past and how we were unsure what we were getting in return for being a paying monthly customer for all these years. He assured me going forward this would not be the case. Bonney needs more people like Marcus who goes out of his way to listen and empathize with situations and does his best to make it right . Have been waiting for 6 mos for my rebate. I spoke with SMUD directly twice and both times they confirmed that Bonney has not submitted any paperwork. SMUD contacted them directly to tell them to get on it and they still didn't do it. SMUD contacted me again saying they still haven't received anything after Bonney called me to claim they did. Scammers! they wanted out of doing the paperwork and I said fine, I would do it but they haven't given me any paperwork to send to SMUD. For starters, most of the people that came out to do the actual work were fine. My issue is that I have been waiting since the beginning of 2024 for a response on being overcharged for a duct run that was never completed as part of a nearly $20,000 project, despite several emails, phone calls, notes left on the account, etc. This is even including talking to someone on the phone who still calls me to set up yearly inspections as part of our Bonney Club membership. Not only that, but we have recently found evidence of mice in the house and in looking around the HVAC closet (which is within the conditioned living area and where mice have been) I was surprised to see that they left the ceiling of that closet wide open to the unconditioned attic space. No wire mesh (as was there before with insulation on top), no sheet metal (which was liberally used everywhere else, even to patch a drywall hole instead using drywall), and certainly no insulation to replace what was there previously. Again, they seem to be fine with calling me about annual inspections, but nobody wants to reach back out to make it right for the nearly $600 I was overcharged, nor do I have hope that they will have anything to say about the poor quality of a job they left in my house. We used Bonney here and there for the 6 years we have been in our house. I'd much sooner find someone else for our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs and recommend that you do as well. read more
