This was my first time in BoomerJack's and I was very excited to try this grill and bar. However, our bartender, Clarissa, was very dismissive to our party. I've never had a worse experience with a bar tender. She wouldn't make eye contact, ignored our party, and treated us like we were beneath her. This place is poorly managed, and the food is average at best. Stood at the host stand for almost 10 minutes. Service is slow, and almost reluctant, every time the waitress came to the table she quickly left to go somewhere else and said she would be right back. Our server, Mercedes, never brought water out for us. When she did, about 30 minutes into our experience, it tasted like it came straight from the toilet. I'm not even kidding. We got Carolina Reaper wings and didn't even touch our water it was that gross. The food runner had no enthusiasm and just dropped the food off and didn't say anything. He looked like he hated his job. The restaurant was very hot and our server smelled pretty gross. This place will be closed within a year or two. Service was horrendous. Never coming back. read more

After giving this place a second chance, we were yet again very disappointed. The first time the food order was incorrect and cold. I don't quite understand it being cold with food runners. We figured we would give the restaurant a second try, unfortunately the food and service was very poor. Our waiter was walking around with a Red Bull, which at one point he left it on our table. When he took our order, he pulled up a chair and sat slumped over AT our table. Very awkward. The food wasn't right again and our waiter did not prebus and had to be asked multiple times for drinks and condiments. Probably won't be back with our family for a meal, maybe for a beer or two at the bar. Called back and the manager (Jeff) retook the order and personally delivered it to our house. Impressed both with the food and the superb customer service. We are locals to BoomerJacks and love spending our evenings here. They have wonderful food and great drinks at a reasonable price. I have felt safe and taken care of during this pandemic. They practice social distancing and all of the staff where face masks making it an ideal stop. We feel like family here and it is our number one choice. read more

I've been to several Boomerjacks and this is, by far, the nicest of the bunch. This is a true Sports Bar with LOTS of TV's. When big games are on they actually turn the sound up so you can hear the game. The food isn't the best but's it's good enough to bring you back. The drinks are reasonably priced with specials offered 6 out of 7 days. This area has needed a bar like this for a long time. With a larger, more varied menu, I would give it 5 stars. read more

Does a 1 Star review even count if we didn't stay long enough to eat?? Went in with my family of 4 on Saturday, got seated, then nothing. Literally, over 10 minutes of just sitting there and not a single person came by to greet us, offer a water, tell us they'd be right by. Nothing. I probably saw 5 servers and multiple food runners skeeter by our table and not one of them even glanced. We walked out and drove 2 minutes across the street to Kelly's. Been there for 10+ years and this is exactly why. Train your servers, train your managers and train your hostesses. My wife was insistent on saying something and the 2 girls up front looked at her like she had 2 heads. Bottom line, Allen is a restaurant vortex. The food is good but we have been here for 2.5 hours. First, they couldn't get the seating done correctly and we waited 45 minutes to get seated while others after us were seated. Waited for 11 minutes and had to request a waitress. The waitress was good but our food took 45 minutes to receive. Waitress spilled a large amount of beer on the floor, manager witnessed it, but nobody cleaned it up. Waited 10 minutes for someone to clean it up but we were so nervous that someone would fall that someone from family got up to clean it. Maybe it will be better after the routine settles in, but I would not recommend right now. Reasonably priced restaurant but have been waiting 15 minutes to pay the bill. read more

Yesterday several friends and I meeting up for a great time of great laughs, atmosphere, and great food. i was hungry for a nice thick juicy burger and great seasoned fries....and a beer or two. This is what was ordered to the waitress. I got a plate with 10-14 small fries and the "burger" was barely over 1/4 inch thin. One side blackened with grill char and edges beyond chewable/edible. Upsetting this IS "The BoomerJack Burger and fries plate" served. Last two prior visits were also disappointing but at least edible. I finished my beer and we went across Stacy to the fast food burger joint and got a better quality meal at a much better price. The waitress was not rude and was nice. She brought coupons for $5 off per table for more of this food from Boomerjacks future visits. I dont think so. The beer was good. Waitress was good. Fries tasted good (the few they put on your plate). This is my last 3 experiences with this place, last. Good luck and enjoy life! read more

We just got home from Boomer Jack's. It's Valentine's and we like to stop in to our fav places for afternoon HH. So today, we went to Boomer Jack's. We've been twice already: one just for drinks (great!) and second time for burgers (great!). But today, Valentine's afternoon, we were not impressed. Place not full - hey, it's only 3:30 yet. Got our table, ordered drinks. I got Top Shelf Margarita - that's what it's call on the menu. NOT a top shelf drink. It was too sweet and where was the tequila? I left over half of the drink. Hubby ordered Mule - it was good. We then ordered Small Bites Boneless Wings. When it came out from kitchen, over half of it barely warm. Jeff came by table to ask if all was ok (I do like that) and we told him it was not all hot. Brittney did remove it from ticket. Service was not all that either. Brittney told us they had 1 bar tender. Really? and on a Friday afternoon and Valentine's too? So I don't think we'll be back for Friday HH. Too many other choices around. The service i had was amazing until they switch the server from patio to inside and forced this young lady to give up our table to a girl coming on mind you we already been here 2 hours so i blame management. Then the new waitress Crystal was horrible messed up the whole vibe from the initial server. Then when we did decide to order food it came out cold and wrong management had handle it poorly. Food was raw in the middle. You should only come for drink specials. Servers pass you and don't engage with guests. Then i can tell it's animosity between co-workers from hearing side bar conversation and from what i overheard this establishment is poor with guests and employees. We tried out Boomer Jacks in Allen. Bad experience. Will never go there again for the following reasons. First time we went we ordered the sampler we were told they were selling the sampler that day but you could order everything the sampler consisted of. Made no sense. Went again today. We were seated waitress took our drink order. Waited 20 minutes and no drinks. Within those 20 minutes two different waitresses came by with drinks we did not order. We declined the drinks with the first gal and she didn't bother to ask what we had ordered. Our original waitress comes back apologizes and states the bar lost out drink order and that she places it again. Another waitress come by again with the same two drinks that were not ours. At this point we told her no and that we had ordered 20 minutes ago and repeated our drink order for the third time. Decided to leave read more

We went with our family for lunch at the new BoomerJacks in Allen/Fairview. We have never been to a BoomerJacks before, so we were pretty excited to try it out. It is like if BJs (with a MUCH smaller menu) met BWW, and they had a baby. The prices, the atmosphere (so many TVs! and the patio fires looked very cozy), the lunch specials, the drink specials, and the waitress were good. The food was meh, not bad, just wholly average for a sports bar. The apps were hot and fresh - tasted fine. The few problems we had weren't extraordinary - the bottom bun on a burger was super-soggy, the onions (showed thin onion straws on menu picture) on the Triple-B were onion ring-sized, the sauces we asked for didn't come out with the food, and the dessert was a little odd. The banana pudding was a mug with 1/2 pudding, 1/2 whipped cream and cookies on top. There were small bits of butter throughout (took us a little time to figure out what the 'not banana or cookie' bits were), which tasted okay, but why put butter in pudding? The pace of meal was terrible. It took FOREVER to get apps, to get food, to get dessert, to get our check, to get our check back. Lunch (not busy - there were three tables sat, including ours) took an hour and a half. Not a quick place to grab a bite. Expect to wait. Order to apps was 15 minutes, apps to meal was 25, meal to dessert was another 15, another 10 for the check after asking for it, another 10 to get it back once we paid. The manager walked by and asked us how things were probably 3 times, and was polite. None of the above was enough of an issue to us to bring to his attention. We were surprised that he didn't know who our waitress was, though. He walked off tofind out who it was when we asked for the check at the end of the meal, and we thought the manager ought to have known that, since there were only a few tables, and we had already been there a little over an hour. Overall it was just OK. Not a waste of money, but nothing special that we would return for. read more

I've been getting 'to go' meals/desserts since covid, from Boomer Jack's on Stacy. Last time I was there July 11, I got a dessert and my bill I signed for was something less than $7. Looking at my bank online info 2 weeks later, I see a payment to Boomer Jack's for almost $11. I double checked and it was supposedly the same transaction. I talked to the bank and they said ask the merchant first. So I took my receipt and a screenshot of my bank info in to Boomer Jack's on July 23. Talked to a guy manager, who seemed skeptical of my issue, and said he would check into it. He came back later with 'to go' receipts from that evening, but interestingly, mine was not there to compare it to my original. He offered a $10 gift certificate, but I was put off with the whole ordeal, taking up my time and effort to figure out why they or a waitress had padded my bill, so I asked for a credit. He couldn't do a credit but 'graciously' handed over the $4.45 in cash. Walked out to never return. read more

I recently came in and sat at the bar and it was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The bartender took 15 minutes to acknowledge us and then after taking our drink order she went to the end of the bar to talk to her coworkers and we waited another 10 minutes to receive our drinks. As we were trying to pay out (which took about 20 minutes) I was leaving to go to the restroom and this server yelled at me to watch where I was going. Then that server went over to her group of friends who were sitting right next to my friends and I, to talk sh*t about us. I asked her if there was a problem and she aggressively said "what are you gonna do if there is?". She also threatened my friend to go outside and fight. I was also very surprised that her coworkers at the bar were just watching going about their business like nothing was happening. You couldn't pay me to ever come back to another Boomerjack's. There's a bar called Kelly's that's right across the street that has better service and their employees won't try to fight you. read more
