I have mixed feelings about this location. I have been coming here for almost 4 years now, and used to love it. My thoughts are starting to change. But first off, Sima is an awesome bartender. Very nice and personable. (It feels good when you walk in a bar in the bartender actually knows your name after going there hundreds of times). But on the flipside, there are two other bartenders that happen to be there most often, unfortunately and act like you're a total stranger when you walk in, and chat with other patrons rather than take your order. They are very friendly and chatty with the "regular barflys ", but barely greet me with a "hello". It's come to the point where I get hesitant to walk in cause I feel like I'll be unwanted when they are bartending. If this place gets friendlier, new bartenders, I'll change my thoughts about it and give it more stars. read more

Gone into this spot quite a few times since I moved from this actual company to a place near by. Yes, have I had a few nights where I had too many, easy at this spot. Last time a few weeks ago, I had left my card. I usually have the same bartender Sam, who is super sweet and always looks out for me. That night i believe i was a little too far gone. Left my card and may have not done right by the bar when it came to closing out. I think we've all been there. Tonight, we had a tall blonde bartender who has served me maybe twice. She firmly pointed to me and told me we "needed to talk". Came over to my side of the bar, which then asked her if we could move away from the crowd and talk somewhere else, as I was very surprised by this. She proceeds to yell "guess you don't want THEM to hear this?!". Then proceeds to ask me "so you're in service industry... explain to me why you're not tipping us? I have never in the few times of being there, not tipped. I WORK in service industry, the last thing I would do is not tip. One time of being too drunk, with a card left that is charged with the usual 20% walk fee.. get it. Cool. This was not. She proceeded to tell me she would not serve me, even with me explaining that I have never tipped and I could be like so many others saying "tipping is optional".... I work in the service industry. All in all, I did not like the way this was handled. I was attacked verbally without knowing facts. Refused service when she had nothing to prove to me and then proceeded to talk to my friends who were still there about it when it was not fact. Like I said, I usually tip in cash and well, at that. I would love to know if their own staff is jacking cash tips or if anyone else is experiencing this same blonde broad that doesn't know how to start a simple conversation. read more

Their customer service satisfactory along with great vibes, especially during game time. Sometimes the dishes come out quick, other times it can take upwards of 30-45 minutes. We went to Boomerjacks for the Love Island watch party and wow! So fun. The vibe was great, the staff were attentive and our server was quick despite it being so busy from all the Love Island fans. She checked on us numerous times. I loved the drink specials they had going and their trio appetizer was great. We got the mozzarella bites, saucy garlic parm wings, and loaded potato skins. It was so yummy and the perfect bar bites for my husband and I. You could hear the episode and they put it on almost all the screens! We started with the fried appetizer which was fresh seasoned and tasted really good. We then had the wings plain which were also fresh but I would recommend getting some type of topping unless you like plain wings without as much seasoning. Pulled me in with the Britney Spears music in the parking lot. Great food and fun atmosphere with music videos playing. Warning though there is loudish music in the restaurant (not unbearable but louder than your average place, I mean it is a bar and grill lol) My daughters loved it. Service was quick and friendly. Mains actually came out relatively fast, but the appetizers? Um. No where to be found. They never came out, and the lady didn't even address it when she came to check to see if everything came out ok. After that, we didn't see her for 25+ minutes. As it should be. Large spot, great for groups and has outdoor seating. Staff - 4/5 - Friendly. Wished they came back around more often, but again. It was packed. Can't knocked them for it. A Friend of mine here in Plano, Texas recommended BoomerJack's since she has been there several times and loves the atmosphere and food/drinks. We came here on a Sunday for Dinner and there was a nice amount of people there. I like that you can eat indoors or even outside on the Patio and if it's cold they have fire pits. For Sports Fans like myself they have wall to wall TV screens so you can catch your favorite team playing or even watch basketball right now since it's March Madness time! Their Menu has a nice selection of drinks and appetizers so I decided to get the Prickly Pear Margarita on the rocks and my friends and I shared the Fried Pickles to start. I kept going back and forth about what entree to order but I decided on the Chicken Wrap with a side of French fries and ketchup. Where do I start. This is a difficult rating to make for us. A part of us that wants to go one star after our Thursday night 09/21/23 experience. However we want to be fair. There were some highlights worth more stars. With a couple exceptions, the food was amazing! Service is fair but needs improvement. First, the iced tea was going sour. It happens. So my wife asked for a glass of water to replace it. Problem solved. We started with a sampler. The boneless wings and cheese sticks were fresh, cooked exceptionally well and tasty. The wife enjoyed the egg rolls. Her chicken sandwich meal was very good. I'd buy a bottle of that honey mustard dipping sauce to take home with me. My chicken fried pork chops is where we went off the rails. To begin with, the breading was sliding off from the moment my plate hit the table. More problematic is the pork chop itself. Whom ever thought it a good idea to batter and bread a bone-in pork chop is an idiot. You don't know where the bone is until you try to cut into your meal. I ended up with a very sharp shard of bone in my bite that wasn't pleasant to bite down upon. It's a shame. The flavor was excellent. And that amazing pepper gravy could be a food group all by itself. But the whole execution of the dish is inedible. Our server stopped by as I was pushing my plate away saying I can't eat that. He apologized and wandered off. The check gets delivered with not only the un drinkable tea still being billed, but my dinner. We asked for a manager. I think his name was Eric. Eric was awful. Impolite, rushed and clearly uninterested in speaking to us. Walking away while we were talking is beyond rude. This place has potential. Solid food (except that stupid idea of a breaded bone-in pork chop) and a very clean comfortable atmosphere. Service quality is where they're dropping the ball in our opinion. Get servers to pay a little more attention to the customer when something is wrong, lose of that poor excuse for a manager and toss that terrible pork chop idea and it would be a decent place to go. read more

Our server was Lamarcus and he was great!!! Very attentive and made sure our food was exactly what we ordered. With that being said, our visit didn't end the way we would've preferred. At the beginning of the visit, we noticed a spot on the table (pictured below) that offered a free queso if we downloaded the app. So we downloaded the app and ordered one queso and an additional appetizer. When the checks came, the code given to us did not work and we were then informed that the free queso is loaded the next day. The manager refused to be helpful and we ended up paying $12 for a queso we would have not ordered otherwise. Overall, server and food were good but management fell short. We were so excited to visit this new restaurant. We both love Boomerjacks. When we arrived there was a short wait, but it wasn't so bad since we could wait in the car for a text. Once we were seated our drinks came fairly quickly considering there was a waitress switch. Our food did take a little while to get to us but the restaurant was packed. At least the food was hot and we ate all of it. I usually can't finish my plate but I was starving. Where I was seated I stared at a black wall while there were tv's everywhere else.
