We went to Boqueria Soho to celebrate our dating anniversary. It was super packed at 8:30 on a Friday, so I'm really glad we made a reservation. The ambiance wasn't too fancy but also not too casual. Some people were dressed up, but you could definitely get away with jeans and a cute top. They first sat us at the bar, but there was a prosciutto slicer right in front of us, so we barely had any counter space and felt a little crammed. Our waitress was super sweet and immediately noticed. As soon as a spot opened up at the end of a long table, she moved us, which we really appreciated. They recommend two to three tapas per person, so we ordered five between the two of us. We got the gambas al ajillo, the Caesar salad with anchovies, the patatas bravas, the atún canario, and the pintxos morunos. I usually lean toward seafood, especially crudos, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the fish here. Neither the anchovies nor the tuna tasted particularly fresh. They weren't bad, just not something I'd seek out again. The potatoes and shrimp were both delicious. They were generously portioned and super flavorful. The lamb skewers were the star of the night. They weren't too gamey and were really well balanced and packed with flavor. Overall I'd give the meal a four out of five, mostly because the fish was underwhelming, but everything else was great.

Beef sliders. Paid extra to get 3 to share.

Went for happy hour with a couple friends. Made a reservation to sit outside on a gorgeous day. We really enjoyed the happy hour menu! Would definitely do it again.

Definitely disappointed with the food. I gave 4 stars for the sangria, great service and nice ambiance. Beautiful restaurant. My friends and I opted for the $52/person Chef's Menu "The Classics" option. We were served a bunch of different tapas. Notably was this super bland salad called Ensalada Vasca, it had literally nothing on it except dressing... We were very disappointed with the vegetable paella; the veggies were bland and the couscous was overcooked, some burnt. We all agreed it was more like a veggie fried rice anyone could make at home. We did like the Croquetas de Setas and Pintxos Morunos, those were tasty! Average were the Patatas Bravas, Shishito Peppers and Albondigas. The chocolate sauce for the churros was runny like soup. Staff was accommodating for a shrimp allergy and conscious of cross-contamination, which we appreciated! Our waiter, Franklin, was very attentive and friendly. Our food and drinks kept coming quickly, which we appreciated! I probably wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a friend for an important dinner. For drinks and vibes, it's great.

Couldn't take too many pictures because I was too focused on how AMAZING this food was! We got a bunch of tapas for the table so we tried a ton of- blue cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, ham and mushroom croquettes, short rib flatbread, fried potatoes, garlic shrimp, Brussel sprouts and more! I would say my favorites were the garlic shrimp and the dates! The sangria was also delicious. We had a reservation for 5:00 on a Tuesday and by the time we left the place was full. Clearly a popular spot for their food, their service was also very helpful and attentive. Great energy in the place - I loved the decor/setup.

Boqueria in SoHo delivered an outstanding brunch experience that easily justified the $29-per-person family-style feast. We went for the full brunch spread, starting with tapas that included tortilla española and datiles con beicon (dates wrapped in bacon), perfectly sweet and savory. For the main brunch course, we had the short rib flatbread, huevos estrellados, and Boqueria bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, all cooked and seasoned beautifully. Dessert was churros with Nutella, a classic finish that capped everything off just right. The meal served as our one big meal for the day, and while it was more than enough food, the pacing of the courses was so well done that it never felt overwhelming. The service was superb from start to finish. Both the servers and hostess were attentive and professional, balancing efficiency with genuine warmth. The food leaned a little on the heavy side, but that's part of what makes Boqueria's brunch satisfying, rich, flavorful, and made to linger over. We were full the rest of the day. The vibe was exactly what you'd expect from SoHo on a weekend: a stylish, easy mix of shoppers, locals, and visitors taking a break from the bustle. It felt lively without being rushed, comfortable without trying too hard. I went with my soulmate, and we both agreed this is a spot we'd absolutely return to. Boqueria SoHo is a perfect choice for a date, a meet-up, or any time you want to relax over a well-paced, high-quality brunch in one of Manhattan's best neighborhoods.

    Hamburguesa with side salad

Of course I'm back! Stopped in for lunch and once again--vibes immaculate. The playlist was hitting, the service was fast, and I had the pleasure of being helped by Jeffery, who was super nice and attentive without hovering. I ordered the Hamburguesa with a side salad and whew--chef's kiss. The burger was so well-seasoned, and I would've never guessed that bacon jam could pair so perfectly, but it absolutely slaps. The side salad wasn't an afterthought either--fresh, crisp, and perfectly tossed with just the right amount of dressing. 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to come back again (because we all know I will).

Went here awhile ago for my friend's last year of the decade partial celebration. This place is so cute and tapas place. We ordered bunch of dishes and drinks to share and it was delicious. Every dish is just simply tasty and the drinks are wonderful. Great service since we're there early. Will comeback for more when we're in the neighborhood for sure.

"You know my mother made all this Paella... It's a Spanish dish. It's a mlange of fish, an meat with rice. Very tasty." -George Costanza, Seinfeld da Scene: After a long day walking around Chinatown, Little Italy and Nolita, we head to SOHO for sangria and tapas. Great space, high ceilings, busy, bustling and vibey... da Grub: Hit all the good stuff starting with a pitcher of blanca sangria and plate of hand-carved Jamón Ibérico, decadent... huge difference from Serrano. Pan Con Tomate, artichoke hearts, Gildas & Gambas were pretty standard... but the pickled anchovies, potato tortilla, and Picanha & chimichurri were off the hook good! da Service: Jose was quick and funny, plus he paired a great glass of Cesca Vincent to go with the steak. Check 'em out when in SOHO!

I love coming here. It actually tastes authentic spanish and the vibe is good. Great wine selection. Great octopus. Make sure to make a reservation because it does get packed.

    Bocata De Escalivada
    Leyang Z.

It was my first time to try their lunch menu and it was not disappointing at all! The lunch menu had a quite a few choices of sandwiches and bowls. I ordered the Bocata De Escalivada and Pintxos Morunos. Both dishes were delicious. The first dish was a sandwich version of their Escalivada (grilled eggplant, peppers, onions, yogurt) plate. I ordered it because I was curious about how this combination was for a sandwich. Surprising it was great: the grilled baguette was crispy and hot. The roasted veggie was chilled so that it was refreshing. The yogurt spread added more flavors to it. I chose salad as my side. The second dish was basically lamb skewers on a piece of sourdough. The lamb was served medium. Very tender. I also liked the salsa on top of it (more like chopped herbs than the Mexican salsa). However, it might be better if they drain some water/fat from the lamb to prevent the bread below to be wet. Service was great as well. My server was enjoyed chatting with diners very much. He also recommended dishes and described how they were cooked to me. Food also came out in reasonable time. Definitely a good place for lunch!

Loved it here!! They had lots of seating, and although it was kind of small, they were able to fit lots of people into the restaurant. The service was amazing and food came out quick since the kitchen is open and various servers were bringing our dishes to the table. The food was pretty good, would recommend the bacon wrapped dates, patatas bravas, calamari, and brussels sprouts! My watermelon sandia was the star, it was super light and refreshing! Great spot for a date or gno

Manchego, Iberico 1 and Iberico 2
    James L.

A mix up with the reservation where the phone hostess said my party of 2 may have to sit at the counter but probably not. Despite my making a reservation reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where they lost Jerry's car reservation. "You know how to take a reservation but you don't know to 'Hold the reservation.' ". No matter we got a table at 7pm. "La comida está deliciosa. -- The food is delicious." Drinks/wine were regional Spanish based. Thumbs up for very cold prosecco and albarino. Shared a seafood paella, manchego and the 2 ibericos to start. Excellent. Service very good. Smart crowd, date place on a Friday. The chairs and tables were high top encouraging frequent turnover and more seating-not a fan. I noticed another Baby Boom couple had difficulty navigating their table top too. We would come back though. We used to live on West Bway, 1984-1993 where at least Ken's Broome Street Bar (1972) is still around. Hope Boqueria (2008) has a similar run.

Traveling from out of town (SF) Tooo a recommendation from a local for a lunch spot to go here and order the bacon wrapped dates. Loved the neighborhood. Everything was extraordinary from the service to the food. We ordered the Brussel sprout salad, the bacon wrapped dates (heard they were amazing), the tuna bowl and we each got our own glass of red sangria. I would have gotten a pitcher but my gf doesn't drink enough. LOL - I do recommend a pitcher for 2+ people. I think he said it's 5 glasses. Liked the sangria but I am not the expert on all things sangria. Brussels sprout salad was great! Loved the cranberries and almonds and nice light dressing. Bacon wrapped dates soft and delicious. Sweet and salty and melt in our mouth. Come with three. We also loved the freshness and clean citrus of the tuna bowl. Was perfect. We even opted for the churros with Nutella dipping sauce cause you know... I needed something sweet at the end. Good. Crispy, maybe 5inch churros. We loved the food and dining experience as a whole. Would definitely recommend. Also has a patio. And plenty of shopping in the area.

Is there a bottomless mimosa option?

Thank you for reaching out. We do offer bottomless mimosa on our brunch menu. The brunch menu is offered Saturday and Sunday till 4pm.

Are they still doing the bottomless brunch on weekends?

Can you order the brunch paella separately, without ordering the brunch feast?

    Yes!

What are the hours for brunch?

Is the paella a small portion or is it good for 2 people?

It's big enough for 2. The large fed 5 of us.

    Is there a happy hour?

    Yes and fair priced

How casual is the attire? Trying to figure out if I can get away with shorts and a button up, or if jeans are necessary

I don't think they enforce anything but people are a little dressy, especially in the evening. So I would say maybe for lunch it is okay but for evening wear full pants/slacks.

The table we sat at was quite large, and I think it could have fit a few more people. The staff was friendly, and the lighting wasn't too dark, nor was it too loud. While I liked the atmosphere, I found the food, or rather specifically the tapas, to be not good at best, while the main dishes were better but also ranged in quality. The fact that the tapas we ordered were pretty closely priced to the mains means I would recommend the mains only based on portion and taste alone. To drink, a bunch of us split a bottle of wine from their large and pretty reasonably priced selection. The first tapas that arrived was something that I could not eat. This was the Pulpo Zarautz for $32, listed as octopus with garlic and merken seasoning served over mashed baby potatoes. The dish was small, and people thought it was OK as they found the pieces of octopus a tad chewy. They liked the spices but were surprised that the potatoes were a bit cool. The $24 Gambas Al Ajillo, with slow-cooked prawns, white wine, EVOO, garlic, and mermen, was alright. There was a handful of shrimp, and they were decently cooked, but the "ajillo," or rather, the garlic, was very light. Therefore, I found it a bit bland, which is almost never the case for this dish. I wouldn't recommend this based on price and flavor. Last and least of the tapas was the $22 Tortilla De Patatas, listed simply as a Spanish omelette. There was an option to add chorizo for $2 more, which we did. Along with the omelette, this also arrived with a few sauces and some pieces of crunchy bread, which were the highlight, as the omelette wasn't good either. The texture of the omelette was very different than any other Spanish omelette I've ever had. It was quite soft with a bit of chew, with a mild chorizo flavor. Along with the greenish color, it wasn't exactly appetizing. I wouldn't recommend this at all, but thankfully, that was the last tapas we ordered. My favorite of the main dishes was the Solomillo & Pebre for $28, listed as skirt steak topped with parsley and olive oil, with hand-cut fried potato and salad. While not the most tender, as it is a skirt steak, it was still well-flavored with the topping almost reminding me, to an extent, of a less oily version of chimichurri. The potatoes had a unique texture, being slightly crispy on the outside while remaining slightly soft in the middle. The salad on the side, which also arrived with one of our other mains, was a tasty mix and certainly more effort than a typical salad you find in many of these places. We also liked the $32 Costillas De Cerdito, with pork ribs in beer, mustard, and rosemary with hand-cut fried potato and salad. The pork ribs were flavorful, though I did find a bit of it to be a bit fatty, but some of that is expected with pork ribs. The mildly sweet and slightly rich sauce paired with the pork ribs. The same comments from before can be made about the potatoes and salad. Last was the OK Paella De Mariscos for $38, listed as rice cooked with shrimp, mussels, clams, prawns, and fresh saffron. The portion size was good, with a lot of mussels and clams in particular, and a handful of shrimp. Of the bite I had of the two large prawns, they were plump and juicy as well. However, the rice was both a bit bland and a tad mushy and felt a bit overcooked compared to many other paellas. There was some socarrat on the bottom as per usual, which was the best part. It's a bit difficult to rate this place. The spices, textures, and flavors were lacking from the overpriced tapas, and I honestly wouldn't recommend any of them. For the main dishes, they were tasty, but you can get a better-cooked skirt steak at many other places for a similar price. The ribs were decent, and the paella was just OK. If we only had the tapas, I probably would be giving this place a 1, but for the whole meal, an upper 2, rounded up.

The half chicken was the most memorable dish; our server recommended it, and it's clear why. It was unbelievably juicy and tender, with plenty of lemon flavor in every bite. Lots of meat, don't expect a small plate like the other menu items! All in all a good experience in a nice atmosphere, definitely staying on the list for tapas in the future.

To find Debajo you have to find the staircase leading down as this is below ground level - hence the name. MUST GET the patatas bravas - just enough to share between three people but might want to get two orders if your party is more than three. DO NOT GET the queso - it's literally a couple thin slices of cheese, a tiny bowl of almonds, and some tomato mixture. You can add bread for like $7 on top of the original $16 price - actually ridiculous for what you get. The roasted duck breast was flavorful and tender, and the bavette steak was even better. Really great to share as well since they're cut up already. Good vibes in Debajo - would definitely come back again. It was clean and very chic.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner, Lorena. She was very cordial, attentive, gave magnificent recommendations, and added to the enjoyment of the meal. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and was blown away by the size. The glass was almost the size of the Bryant Park fountain, the Sangria was sweet and refreshing, and the fruit was abundant. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery. P.S. - Please, do yourself a favor and read the history of EZ Paella, which is on the menu. They made it through COVID and have enjoyed consistent success, since.

Every aspect of our Gurumé experience was perfection! We arrived without reservation, and were lucky enough to be seated, even though it was very full...I recommend making a reservation, we got lucky. We were seated towards the back of the cozy narrow dining room and immediately greeted with a smile from the awesome waitress Cherry. She was very helpful and informative with the unusual tapas menu. We ordered a selection of items, and each dish was so good! Starting with the brussel sprout starter, which was crispy, bright and delicious. we then ordered tteokbokki, described as a rice cake, but much more like little bowl delicious rice gnocchi with a creamy chase sauce. We followed with jjambong gambas, a creative and tasty shrimp dish, and the seafood ramen, very spicy and a real treat. If you get a chance, do not miss out on this sweet spot. Incredible food, astounding and attentive service, and all in a magical cozy dining room.
