Wow! What a hidden gem. It's a small little eatery tucked into a strip mall, and from the outside you might even think it's closed--but don't let that fool you. The food is the real deal. The fish tacos and chicken fajita tacos were both incredible, perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. They came with super addictive yellow rice and creamy refried beans. So good. Trust me: it's authentic, delicious, and absolutely worth a visit.

A small cozy little place but you can quickly see why they are busy. They have phenomenal food! The servers were all very nice and provided solid recommendations. The chips and guacamole was a great starter. The bistek Mexicana was to die for! Such great flavor! Will be back for sure!

Friendly staff. Building is old and dated but this place was busy when we went on a Friday evening. Service was fast. I didn't love the chimichanga but the family loved the Milanesa and sopes. Selection of beers, sodas and Mexican Horchatas

My favorite "hole in the wall" in all of Orlando! I always come here whenever I am craving some good tacos. I've been coming here for over 10 years and I hope they stay open forever!

Super good tacos. The torta de carnitas was huge, highly recommend. Great Mexican beers, Sol! Staff is awesome and super nice. Very affordable. Quick service. Get the super hot salsa.

This place isn't the biggest it isn't the fanciest, but the food was fucking good. Wasn't expensive at all very fair price in a shopping center with a liquor store a smoke shop, a nail spa and a cell phone player even a massage spot directly across from several hotels this was a good place

This is a fantastic little hole in the wall. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned, and the queso and hot sauces hit the spot. The salsa was a little lacking in flavor, and the chips were small for the price, but overall this is what we look for in a Mexican restaurant. Oh, and the service staff were so sweet. We will be back in future years.

Another Fav. Hidden gem of Orlando. When you go in it feels like you're on vacation! The decorations, music just everything. Good authentic food! Great service. Big portions and amazing prices can't get any better than that! 10/10

All I'm going to say this place is it! The food was 10/10! I got a California burrito and is probably one of the best ones I have in a while. Pretty much San Diego level burritos for me when it comes to Cali burrito. The employees were all so kind and attentive. They had inside and outside seating area which is super nice.

This was a literal hidden gem that had been on my radar for a while. Decided to go with friends for dinner and we can't stop raving about it. The guacamole was phenomenal (although the salsa was just okay). We all coincidentally decided to order the California burrito and the carne asada inside was PERFECTION. The food came out very quickly and the staff were all extremely kind. Highly recommend!

Border Grill is the best authentic Mexican spot in Orlando. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and it's always amazing. The food is flavorful, and authentic. It's been family style run for years -- they care about you and the food. Staff is always so friendly and welcoming -- it just feels good to be there. If you're ever in Orlando and want real Mexican food that hits the spot every time, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We're from our of state visiting Universal. We wanted Mexican food and hoped this would be authentic. It's DELICIOUS. We don't get taste like this in NC easily! Highly recommend and the staff is so friendly!

This place from outside didn't look much. But it was across from my hotel and convenient. The place was almost full. They made a place for us to sit together. We ordered the chips and salsa, fajitas with all 3 protein, spicy shrimp , enchiladas and beers. Everything was so yummy and fresh. Prices seem reasonable too. No wonder people keep coming to this place.

I see there don't have margaritas or wine. Can I bring my own bottle of wine and pay a corkage fee?

Do they ever have live music?

Not that I have seen whenever I've gone

    Can this accommodate big groups?

Not really. The dining room is very small. It depends on the size of the party and if you want everyone to sit at the same table.

Are there Taco Tuesday specials there?

Nope there's not. But the prices on their items are reallllly good anyway.

Do they have horchata and if so, is it good?

Hello, I know they do have horchatas but I haven't try them yet .

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

Service & Ordering Ordering started off fine, and one employee was genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff interactions were the opposite. The drink options are extremely limited -- mostly bottled items -- and what's pictured on the menu is not what you actually receive. Misleading Drink Advertising I paid over $3 for the branded Talkin' Tacos water shown on the menu. Instead, the employee handing out food dropped two tiny Pure Life bottles, one of the cheapest waters you can buy. My wife and I were shocked. This felt like false advertising and set the tone for the rest of the visit. Incorrect Order & Staff Attitude My food came out with sour cream, which is not listed as a topping for the item I ordered. I don't eat dairy, and when I pointed it out, the employee grabbed the tray, walked off, then came back and shoved it in front of me while insisting "this is what you selected." Completely unprofessional. The helpful employee stepped in and offered to remake it, but by then the experience was already ruined. Food Quality The food itself was bland and lacked flavor. My son barely ate his meal and said it wasn't good, which says a lot about the overall quality. Overall Value Between the misleading drink presentation, rude staff interaction, incorrect order, and mediocre food, Talkin' Tacos simply isn't worth the price. With better taco options nearby, I won't be returning to this location.

I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
